Twin Peaks Law Courts

"I can't believe that you did that," Paige looks at Jeff as they stand in the courtroom waiting for the short recess to be over. Paige had left the courtroom with Leah, who was upset following her testimony. In the foyer, Jeff ripped into Leah again for her betrayal and then served her with divorce papers. Paige realizes that her father is upset with Leah but she wishes he had selected a better time to give her the divorce papers as her mother was already upset enough as it is. "You saw how upset Mom was after her testimony."

"I don't care what she was feeling," Jeff admits to his daughter. "After everything she has put me through, I guess I have lost all respect for what she is feeling."

"I get that you're hurt Dad, I really do. What Mom did was a really shitty thing to but you did love her at one point," Paige reminds him. "And, all she wanted to do today was help you and support you. She helped your case by admitting that she knew about Logan's paternity and didn't say anything. Deep down, Mom still loves you and all you're doing is hurting her."

Jeff uneasily nods back to her. "I'm sorry you were here for the scene that just unfolded."

"Don't be sorry to me," Paige tells him. "Be sorry to Mom. That's who you really owe an apology too."

Before Jeff can reply, Franklin Ross returns to this chair and smashes his mallet down. "Everyone take your seats, we are going to continue."

Everyone quickly ushers back to their seats while Jeff and Meggan uneasily look over at one another, still knowing that the day will decide who ends up with Logan.

"Bradley Lawson, please rise and proceed to the witness stand, you are the next witness today," Franklin announces to the crowd, as Brad slowly stands up and starts walking towards the stand. He looks over at Meggan with a sadness in his eyes, knowing that he, too, will have to admit that she got him to lie about the paternity for over a year.

Barcode

Leah opens her purse and grabs her Kleenex to dry her eyes. Once she left the court house, she came to the bar so she could have a stiff drink. She hated every minute of being on the witness stand having to relive the fact that she lied to Jeff about Logan's paternity for so many months; she saw the look on Jeff's face with every word that she said: he was disgusted in her. And, he proved that after the testimony, when he served her with divorce papers. She knew that he was thinking about divorce but to get the papers thrown at her after she had a difficult time on the stand was a low blow, even for Jeff.

She looks at her martini and takes another swig of it. "God, I need this today," she whispers to herself. "I've made such a mess of things and it's all my fault. Everything that happened today, I caused it all. How could I have been so stupid?"

She takes another drink of her martini and finishes the beverage. A good looking young man comes up to her from behind the bar. "You want another one?"

"Make it a double, please?" Leah asks him as he takes her glass from her.

"Sure thing."

While her drink is being made, Leah pulls out her cell phone from her purse and looks at her recent messages. She finds herself typing a text to Robbie, whom she just saw recently. "Wanna join me for a drink? At Barcode now…"

"I could use the company," she whispers to herself as her martini is put in front of her and she takes another healthy sip of it.

The Calimo Mansion

"I must admit I was surprised to get the text from you that you wanted to see me," Natasha tells Cory as she welcomes him into the living room of the mansion. There is a large fire roaring in the fireplace to help take the nip out of the chilly air that is outside. "Can I pour you a drink?"

"No thank you," Cory replies to her quickly, thinking about the last time that he was at the mansion when Natasha tried to seduce him. "I have to drive back into the city."

"I guess that means that this won't be a long visit?" Natasha asks him as she pours herself a glass of red wine. "For the record, I am sorry about how our last visit went. It wasn't fair of me to double book Sophie. I will make sure that it won't happen again."

"I appreciate that Nat," Cory tells her. "Because, no matter what happens between you and I, I still love our daughter very much."

"And she adores you," Natasha replies to him. "So, what is this visit all about then? You basically told me that we don't have a marriage anymore when you were last here."

Cory uneasily nods back to her. "I know," he admits to her. "And, that is why I am here. I wanted to give you something myself."

Natasha freezes while Cory opens his jacket and pulls out an envelope from his pocket. "These are for you, they are divorce papers."

Natasha gulps as she takes the papers from Cory's hands. She knew that this moment was coming but she had hoped that somehow, someway, she and Cory would have been able to work this out. "So this is it, huh?"

"I wish I could say that there was another way," Cory admits to her. "But, I just don't see any other option."

"I am sorry Cory," Natasha looks him in the eyes. "I never wanted our marriage to end up this way."

"Me either Nat, me either."

Roboto

"I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by Robbie and Natasha's response to our serum suggestion," Kim looks at Cassie, who is sitting behind the large desk in the main Roboto office. Kim knows that both she and Cassie were rather worried about presenting their idea to the Calimo siblings because since Bob's death, they have not been seeing eye to eye. Kim and Natasha were both worried that their idea would be shot down because of their personal history with Robbie and Natasha.

"You and me both," Cassie replies to her quickly. "The good news is that we can get this up and running and once it is a huge success, Robbie and Natasha will have no choice but to always take us seriously."

"I hope that is true," Kim nods back to her. "We have to focus on ensuring this is huge for the company. The more profitable it is, the less likely Robbie and Natasha will be able to deny our success."

Before Cassie can reply, Kim hears her cell phone chime. She grabs it from the table and sees an incoming text from Greg. She immediately gets a sly grin on her face, thinking about how they have become lovers. "Excuse me for a moment, I'm going to take this in the hallway."

"Of course," Cassie smiles back to her as Kim stands up and leaves the office. As soon as the office door closes, Cassie pulls out her own her phone and makes a phone call.

"It's me," she says as she looks over her shoulder to make sure that Kim doesn't come back in the office. "Everything is going accordingly to plan. Before you know it, Robbie and Natasha will not know what hit them."

"Yes, of course, I'll be in touch," Cassie purses her lips together before she hangs up her phone.

Just then Kim comes back into the office. "Did you take a phone call? I thought I heard you talking to someone?"

"Just thinking out loud," Cassie lies to her as Kim comes back to the desk and they continue to work on the serum.

Twin Peaks University

Andrew smiles as he stands outside the auditorium at the University as the graduation ceremony is close to beginning. He almost can't believe that he finished his degree and that he is about to be a college graduate.

"I am so proud of you," Trenyce comes up to him and hugs him.

"Thanks Trenyce," Andrew replies to her. "I have to admit that I am pretty proud of myself."

"You know something?" Chris asks him as they shake hands. "Your Mom would also be very proud of you, Andrew. Savannah, she is looking down on us today."

Andrew puts his head down at the thought of his mother. "Thanks for saying that. I know we haven't always seen eye to eye, Chris, so that means a lot to me."

"It is the truth," Chris replies to him.

"I'm not interrupting, am I?" Albertinah asks as she approaches the group. She and Andrew immediately make eye contact as they haven't seen one another in a few weeks. Instantly, she feels herself drawn back to the younger man; she knows that once the graduation is over, she can leave town and try to put Andrew out of her mind.

"Not at all," Chris hugs his sister. "We were just telling Andrew how proud we are of him."

"Okay, enough guys, you're making me blush," Andrew chuckles back to him. "Seriously, it means a lot to me that you're all here for this occasion."

"We wouldn't have missed this for the world," Trenyce smiles back to him.

Down the hall, Abby appears and sees the group talking and laughing. She squints her eyes back at them as she recalls Andrew telling her that he won't be blackmailed into a relationship with her. She sees Albertinah and Andrew share a quick glance and it makes her blood boil.

"Game is about to be over," she whispers to herself as she slowly starts to move closer to the group.

Twin Peaks Law Courts

"Please state your name for the record," Franklin instructs Brad, who is now seated in the witness stand in the court room.

"Brad Lawson," Brad announces after he clears his throat.

"Ms. Lam, your witness," Franklin tells Lois, who stands up.

"Mr. Lawson, can you please describe your relationship with Meggan Ricahrdson?"

"Well, I guess, I first met her in college," Brad replies to her quickly. "We knew of one another and then we lost contact until we ran into one another a couple years ago here in Twin Peaks."

"And, did you have feelings for her?"

"I always had a crush on Meggan," Brad smiles as he looks over at her. "I mean, who could blame me? She's a beautiful woman."

"Shortly after, Meggan revealed to her that she was pregnant, is that correct?" Lois continues to ask him.

"That's right," Brad nods back to her.

"Did she then ask you to pretend to be the baby's father?"

"Objection!" Josh stands up and protests.

"Overruled, please answer the question Mr. Lawson," Franklin tells Brad.

"She asked me to be the father of the child," Brad slowly admits to everyone. "At the time, I didn't question it, I cared for Meggan so I went along with it."

"To the extent that your family believed you were a father?"

"Yes, I'm not proud of lying to my family but I helped Meggan when she needed someone," Brad replies to her. "She's not a bad mother, she was protecting her son!"

"I'll ask the questions I want answers to," Lois cuts him off. "No further questions, your honor."

"Mr. Lawson," Josh stands up and looks at Brad. "In all of your time that you pretended to be Logan's father, did you ever think Meggan was a bad mother?"

"Of course not," Brad shakes his head back to him. "Meggan is a wonderful mother."

"And, you ended up threatening Meggan with the truth, isn't that correct?"

"Uh…"

"Answer the question Mr. Lawson," Franklin informs him.

"Yes."

"No further questions."

"You may step down," Franklin tells Brad, who does as he's told.

Brad slowly walks towards his seat but stops and looks at Meggan who looks back at him. They share a moment as beads of sweat start to form on Meggan's forehead, as the nerves in her stomach grow as the custody case continues.
