The Sugarbowl "What is going on with you? You seem even more
high strung than usual," Max looks over at Abby as they sit in the back booth
of the coffee house. He awoke to an urgent text from his friend asking him to
meet him for breakfast, so he agreed. He can't help but wonder what is going on
with Abby since she seems to be acting odder than usual, and she has said no to
having a coffee, which is really unlike her. Normally, she has two or three cups
to help her through the day. "Did you not sleep well?" Abby
uneasily looks back to him and gulps. She didn't sleep well the night before because
she took a home pregnancy test which confirmed that she is carrying a child; part
of her anxiety is that she has no idea who the father is: Max or Andrew. She can't
believe that she slept with two men in such a short amount of time without protection;
she never believed that this would happen to her. "No, I didn't,"
she replies to him finally before she takes a sip of her herbal tea. "It
was a long, restless night." "Then it's even weirder that you
don't want a coffee," Max tells her. "Usually you are all about your
caffeine fix. What's up with you?" Abby sighs back to him as she
moves some hair behind her ear. "I have to tell you something Max but you
have to promise me that you will not breathe a word of this to anyone. I mean
it, no one can know what I'm about to tell you." "I promise,"
Max says back to her. "Whatever you tell me will stay between us, I promise."
"It's just
I don't have that many friends and my family is going
through so much right now with my Mom's trial
" "I get
it Abby," Max reaches over and grabs her hand. "I am your friend, remember?
You can tell me anything. We have always supported each other and helped each
other. What is going on with you?" Abby takes a deep breath and
looks back at him. "I'm
.I'm pregnant," she whispers back to him
so no one could hear her. Max moves his hand off Abby's and up to his
mouth to cover his mouth, which is open in surprise. Immediately, he thinks back
to the day Abby was at his place and she crawled on to his lap and they had intense
sex, hoping to forget Andrew and Paige
for a short time. While it was great, in the aftermath they both realized that
they could only be friends as they were still pining over their respective interests.
Now, Abby is carrying a child. "Max, did you hear me?" Abby
asks him, noticing that the wheels in his head are turning quickly. "I
heard you," Max finally speaks to her. "I'm going to be a father? I
can't believe this! I'm going to be father
" The Pampa Grill
"The meeting with Josh Levitt went a lot better than I anticipated it
would," Brooke tells Greg as they sit across from one another at a table
in the restaurant. Brooke was pleasantly surprised when Greg agreed to have breakfast
with her this morning; she recalls how while they were meeting with her lawyer
to discuss her pending trial and they seemingly grew closer. While Greg is still
living at the Twin Peaks Executive Hotel, Brooke can't help but wonder if this
means that they could reunite after all. She knows that she left him devastated
with her affair with Robbie, and she is grateful to Robbie for bailing her out
last fall, but she would like nothing more than to put her family back together.
"I agree, it did go well," Greg replies as he takes a sip of his
coffee. "I still think we have to be prepared for the worst."
"I am just trying to remain positive," Brooke looks over at him. "I
can't tell you how much your support has meant to me." "I know
we haven't exactly seen eye to eye since last summer, Brooke," Greg reveals
to her. "But, I don't want you to go to jail for giving us Cheresa. You're
still the mother of my children; I want the best for you." "Does
that best mean that we could try to make our marriage work?" Brooke asks
him, which catches him off-guard. "I know that I've hurt you and you've hurt
me but
" "No buts," Greg cuts her off and takes another
sip of his coffee, thinking about how he has been sleeping with Kim to help blow
off some steam. "I am focused on helping you get through this trial. And,
God willing, you won't have to do jail time. But after that, Brooke, our marriage
is still over. Our future died a long time ago." Brooke gulps heavily
back to him and tries to cover her disappointment by putting a smile on her face.
"Yea, of course," she uneasily says back to him. "Let's just focus
on the trial, then?" *** At another table in the
middle of the dining room, Leah and Jeff sit next to one another while they wait
for their guests to arrive. After they met with Paige the previous day to discuss
the fact that they didn't approve of her dating Jacob, they knew that they had
to take further action. They both just hope that they are doing the right thing
this morning. "Are you sure this is what we should be doing?"
Leah uneasily asks Jeff before she takes a sip of her coffee. "Paige was
pretty clear that she didn't want us to go to drastic measures like we did when
she was dating Max." "I am sure," Jeff nods back to her.
"Besides, we aren't doing anything drastic; we are simply having a conversation."
Before Leah can reply, Shane and Natasha arrive at their table. "We
aren't late, are we?" Natasha asks as she sits across from Leah and Shane
sits across from Shane. "Not at all," Leah replies to them.
"Jeff and I just ordered coffee." "Great," Shane
nods back to them. "I have to admit, I don't know what this could be about?
Last I heard, you two were going through a divorce?" "It's
not about us," Jeff quickly says back to him. "This is about our children."
"Jacob? What's going on with my son?" Natasha immediately asks
back. Leah uneasily looks over at Natasha then to Shane. "He has
started dating Paige," she reveals to the parents. "We spoke to Paige
about some of our concerns considering the history between the Calimo's and the
Robertson's and she basically told us to stay out of it." Natasha
looks back at Shane in surprise. "I had no idea Jacob was even interested
in a dating right now? Yet alone with Paige!" "I might have
known something," Shane admits to everyone. "He came to me and asked
me for advice about a girl. He didn't say who the girl was but I encouraged him
to go for it." "You do see our concern about these two getting
together, don't you?" Jeff asks the parents of Jacob. "Of course
we do!" Natasha immediately says back. "Leah is right, our families
have never gotten along. And with good reason after everything Dominick has done
to my company and my father when he was alive
" "It doesn't
help that Jacob is working at Robertson right now," Jeff chimes in.
"Wait, what?" Natasha gasps back to them. "How the hell did I not
know about this? Jacob is working for the enemy?" "Can we stay
focused on Paige and Jacob?" Leah suggests. "You can discuss with your
son about his working arrangements another time." "I have an
idea," Shane suddenly announces to the table. "I think I have a way
that may make Jacob change is mind about seeing Paige." ***
At the table in the far back corner of the restaurant, Adam and Robin sit
across from each other. Adam was eager to see Robin so he could tell her the news:
he saw Helen and told her that they would have to keep their distance from each
other so they could be together again. After months of wondering what was going
to happen with their relationship, they can finally be together and move on.
"So, I saw Helen yesterday," Adam takes a bit of his toast before
he looks over at Robin with an eagerness in his eyes. "You did,
huh?" Robin replies to him, already knowing what he is going to tell her
since Dawn paid her a visit the previous night and ripped into her for making
Adam stay away from Helen if they were going to have a future. "I
told her that I had to stay away from her," Adam reveals to Robin. "I
did what you asked of me, Robin. I hope this shows you how serious I am about
us having our future." "It does," Robin uneasily nods
back to him. "You should know something
" Adam arches
his eyebrow back to her. "Should I be worried?" "I already
knew that you told Helen that you had to keep your distance," she tells him
as she takes a sip of coffee. "Your daughter came to see me last night and
she was not very happy with me." "Dawn came to see you?"
Adam asks back in surprise. "I guess she did seem upset by my news."
"She was more than upset. She was furious with me," Robin tells
him. "I get why but I want you to know that this is important to me. Knowing
that Dawn is upset, does this change your mind?" "Of course
not," Adam grabs her hand. "My daughter is a grown woman, she can cope
with the fact that her mother and I are no longer together." "Then,
yes, Adam, we can be together again," Robin giggles back to him as he stands
up and moves over to her and pulls her into a hug. Once they exit their embrace,
Adam leans in and kisses Robin passionately on the lips. Across the restaurant,
Shane is standing up from his table and he looks over and happens to see Adam
and Robin in an embrace. He shakes his head wondering to himself why the image
is upsetting to him. The Lawson Estate; Greg, Brooke, Brad, Cheresa
& Abby's Home "Seems quiet in here this morning, huh?"
Brad tells his sister as he moves into the living room of the large mansion and
sees Cheresa pouring herself some orange juice. Knowing that he is alone with
Cheresa, Brad realizes that this would be a great chance for him to talk to her
about her relationship with Trenyce and Chris; while he has been investigating
Daisy's death, he and Trenyce have become closer and she confided in him about
Cheresa's comments that she wants to move on from the restraining order ordeal
but right now her main focus has to be on Brooke's trial. "Yea,
seems like everyone else is out for the day already," Cheresa replies to
him. "You want a glass of oj?" "Nah, I think I'll just
hit that pot of coffee." "Suit yourself bro," Cheresa
smiles back to him. "What's up with you today?" "Not too
much," Brad replies as he pours himself a cup of coffee. "I have a case
that I'm working on." "Really? I didn't think you were working
at MW anymore?" "I'm not, this is a free-lance thing."
"That's awesome, Brad," Cheresa smiles back to her brother. "It's
good that you're able to keep busy with these cases." "It does
keep me busy," Brad replies to her. "How about you? What's going on
with you? I know these last few weeks have been hard on you." Cheresa
chuckles back to him. "That's the understatement of the year," she says
back to him. "But, I do think things are finally looking up. Dawn is home
and we are in a very good place now that the restraining order was lifted. I guess
I'm just focused on the trial coming up." "Does that mean after
the trial you will try to have more of a relationship with Chris and Trenyce?"
Cheresa shrugs back to him. "Chris putting that restraining order against
Dawn was a really shitty thing to do," Cheresa confides in him. "I don't
blame Trenyce but the entire thing is messed up. Like I said, I feel like my focus
has to be on Mom and her trial; You know that I have to testify, right?"
she asks her brother who nods back to him. "So, yea, I'm focused on that.
Whatever happens after, I don't know. It's too far for me to know."
"That makes a lot of sense Cheresa," Brad pulls her into a hug. "Just
know that you don't have to go through the trial alone; we will all be there supporting
one another." "I know and I'm so glad about that," Cheresa
admits to him. "Cause there's no way I'd be able to get through it alone."
The Pampa Grill Leah finishes her coffee and then quickly
checks her phone to see if she is running late to get to the office. Jeff, Natasha
and Shane have all left from their breakfast meeting; Leah is just wrapping up
and then she will be on her way. She collects her purse and stands up when she
sees Paige walk into the restaurant. Leah rushes over to the foyer and immediately
pulls her daughter into a hug. "Good morning sweetheart," Leah
says as she hugs her. "Sorry there wasn't a breakfast waiting for you at
home this morning. I had breakfast with your father." "Don't
worry about it," Paige waves her hand in the air as they exit their embrace.
"You and Dad were eating together, huh? Should I be worried about what you
two are plotting?" Leah uneasily chuckles back to her. "Of
course not. I will say that it is nice that we can be civil with each other again.
For a while there, he couldn't even stand to look at me." Paige
arches her eyebrow back to her mother. "This is all started at the custody
hearing," Paige tells her, as Meggan moves into the restaurant but isn't
seen by Leah or Paige. She stops and listens to the conversation unfolding.
"What do you mean at the hearing?" Leah asks her. "Dad
threw the divorce papers at you," Paige recalls the events the day of the
trial. "You picked them up and rushed off and Dad and I had a long talk.
I told him that you were only trying to help him and I encouraged him to go after
you. I am assuming he did that because he left pretty quickly after the trial
wrapped for the day." Meggan gulps listening to Paige's story. She
immediately recalls how she approached Jeff after the trial about the idea of
getting back together and raising Logan together; he said he had to think about
it and he left quickly. He had never mentioned to Meggan that Paige encouraged
him to go after Leah. "Did Dad find you that night?" Paige
asks her mother next. Leah gulps heavily knowing that she and Cory ended
up in bed together that night. She quickly wonders if Jeff could, somehow, know
about her affair with Cory. If that is the case, she knows that she is in for
a world of drama. "No he didn't," Leah tries to put a smile
on her face. "Whatever he ended up doing that night, I am grateful that we
can be in the same room together," she tells her daughter, trying not to
show that she is worried sick with the fact that Jeff might know about her and
Cory. The Sugarbowl "Would you keep your damn voice
down?" Abby hushes Max, who is still seemingly gleeful at the idea that he
is going to be a father. "I told you that no one can know that I'm pregnant!"
"I'm sorry, I'm just surprise, that's all," Max replies to her
quickly. "I am too," Abby admits to him. "This is the
very last thing that I expected to happen." "So, what are we
going to do? Do you want me to come to the doctor with you? My God, I still can't
believe that I'm going to be a father," Max says back to her. Abby
rolls her eyes. "You're not the father, Max," Abby hisses at him.
"What?" Max gasps back to her, surprised by her reveal.
"Yea, I slept with Andrew," Abby reveals to him. "He used to me
with sex, or so he claims," she continues to tell him her news. "Anyways,
Andrew is the father of my baby." "You don't know that for
sure," Max tells her. "I could be the father, Abby. We have to find
out the truth; we have to find out if I am he father of your baby."
Next on One Day at a Time - Shane reveals all to Jacob - Vinny
and Victoria grow closer - Trenyce has an idea on how to fix things with Cheresa | |
