Twin Peaks Law Courts

Brooke nervously sits next to Josh Levitt in the court room as her trial is about to begin. She almost can't believe that this day has finally arrived; she is more nervous than she thought she would be, despite Josh telling her repeatedly that he believes they have a very strong case. She hates that idea that she might be going to jail for raising one of her children in the best possible way that she knew how too. She looks behind her and sees her family in attendance to support her: Greg, Abby, Brad, Cheresa, Dawn, Robbie and Kim are all there. She wonders why Kim is there for a moment but passes it off that she is there to support Robbie.

Brooke turns back around and looks over at Josh, who nods back to her in support. "You'll be fine," he whispers back to her. "Just remember to stay calm, no outbursts, okay? It will just hurt you in the long run."

"I'll try," she replies to him.

Cheresa nervously twirls in fingers together as she knows that she will have to take the stand soon. Dawn senses that her girlfriend is nervous and puts her hand on her leg. "You okay?" Dawn whispers to her.

Cheresa uneasily nods back to her as Brad turns to face his sister. Cheresa glares at him, unable to bring a smile to her face as the image of her brother and Trenyce having sex together the previous night is haunting her. She can't believe that she saw that; and just when she was about to tell Trenyce that she enjoyed their seemingly close moment. All of that was for nothing, she realizes.

She turns and sees Trenyce sneak into the back row of the court house which causes her to roll her eyes. As if she wasn't nervous enough, now she has to deal with her mother and brother being in the court room with her.

"All rise," a plaintiff comes out and announces to the court room. "The honorable Judge Franklin Ross residing."

"Are you ready?" Josh looks over at Brooke as they slowly stand up together.

"As ready as I will ever be," she nervously replies as she takes a deep breath and prepares to face her fate.

The Sugarbowl

"I need this caffeine fix today," Paige tells Jacob as they move into the coffeehouse together before they head to Robertson Enterprises. They both have a busy day planned as they have to help plan the upcoming trip to Paris that the company is taking for a photo shoot in the city of Lights. However, they are both feeling a tad tired as they ended up making love for most of the night together. They are on cloud nine from their time together and as a result did not get a lot of sleep.

"You're telling me," Jacob replies to her. "It's a good tired though. Like, I wouldn't have traded this for anything."

Paige giggles back to him. "What do you want? I'll get it."

"Are you sure?"

"It's only coffee, I'm sure," she says back to him. "We are a modern couple, you don't have to buy me everything."

"Okay, I'll have a large coffee, nothing special."

"Be right back," Paige moves into the lineup, leaving Jacob standing by the window. He watches her and realizes that he is feeling so glad that they were able to resolve their issues that their families with them dating. He hasn't felt this content or happy in a very long time and he owes a lot of that to Paige.

"You look happy," she says as she returns with his coffee.

"I am happy," Jacob replies to her. "And, I owe a lot of it to you."

"You're sweet," Paige leans up to him and kisses him. "I'm happy too Jacob. I really am."

"Good," Jacob smiles back to her. "Shall we?"

"We shall."

In the back booth, Felicia and Tyler sit across from one another having coffees and muffins together. Felicia looks at her son and wonders if he has started to cope with the loss of Daisy better. She has been worried about him since he was insistent that Daisy might still be alive since Vinny, Lukas & Craig all survived the avalanche. However, with no sign of Tyler's fiancé, Felicia believed that she did perish in the disaster. She just wants her son to start to grieve so he can move on with his life, as difficult as that will be.

"How are you feeling today?" she asks him before she takes a sip of her coffee.

Tyler finishes chewing his bite of his muffin before he looks up at his mother. "Why do I get the feeling there is a hidden meaning to your question?"

Felicia chuckles back to him. "You know that I've been worried about you, Tyler. I'm not going to apologize for that, it is what a mother does."

"I am okay," Tyler says back to her. "I mean, as well as to be expected."

"Have you given anymore thought to returning to work?"

"I have been thinking about it," Tyler nods back to her. "But I really want you to know that I'm taking steps to mourn Daisy properly. I'm not going to get hung up on this death the same way I did with Blake. I am doing well, Mom, I promise."

Felicia reaches over and grabs his hand to squeeze it. "I'm glad you're doing okay son, but I am here if you need me, okay?"

"I know Mom, it's just something I have to deal with on my own," Tyler smiles back to her. "You're the best though."

The Victors Mansion

Vinny moves into the living room of his large mansion and arches his eyebrow when he doesn't see Victoria in the room. They had breakfast together earlier and she claimed she wanted to do some reading; he had assumed that she was going to read in the living room. He knows that he has to watch her somewhat so she doesn't discover the secret tunnels that are in the mansion because then she could find the captive Daisy and Brett. He doesn't think she will find them because the ways into the tunnels are pretty secure, but still.

"There you are," Vinny notes to his girlfriend who moves into the living room. "I was wondering where you ended up."

Victoria nods back to him. "This house is just so huge that I thought I'd do some exploring. I hope that's okay?"

"Of course it is," Vinny uneasily says back to her. "Just don't get lost."

Victoria chuckles back to him. "I don't think that will happen but there are so many rooms in this house. What did your family do with them all?"

"I was so young, I don't really remember," Vinny admits to her. "Most of the memories of this place are negative because of what Dave and Brett did to me."

Victoria moves closer to him. "Does being here bring back those memories?"

"It has," Vinny nods back to her. "But it's good for me to face them, you know? It has made me realize I was keeping these things inside of me for so long."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"Nah, I'm good," Vinny says back to her. "I don't want to burden you with these."

"We are in a relationship now," Victoria grabs his hand. "You can tell me anything, I'd like if you did."

Vinny leans in and kisses her on the lips. "Tell you what, if I need anything or want to talk, I'll let you know?"

"Absolutely," Victoria says back to him. "Just remember, that's a part of being together."

"I will not forget."

Brett looks over at Daisy, who is laying on her cot in the cage that they are still trapped in the Victors mansion. Brett recalls how they were talking a few days ago and he ended up kissing her. He hasn't been able to stop thinking about the kiss and he wonders if she is also thinking about the kiss.

"Penny for your thoughts," he finally says to her, causing her to look back at him.

"Nothing really."

He arches his eyebrow wondering if she is thinking negatively about the kiss that they shared. "You seem quiet, are you sure you're okay?"

"I don't know what to think," Daisy sits on the cot and leans up against the wall. "I guess I'm feeling really blue today. Just the realization that we are likely never going to get out of here."

Brett walks up to her cot and sits next to her. "I'm sorry if I played into this loss of hope you're feeling," he tells her. "I guess I haven't been very positive since we have been in here."

"You've been right," Daisy doesn't make eye contact with him. "If we haven't found a way to escape by now, when will we?"

"I don't know," he admits to her. "But I'll tell you what, we can't give up. I think you're right, you've been right, we need to come up with away to get out of here."

Daisy's eyes light up a little bit. "You really mean that?"

"What's the harm in trying?" he asks her back. "If we do nothing, we will just waste away in here."

"I agree," Daisy nods back to him. "Thank you Brett, thank you for trying to help us get out of here."

"Of course," he smiles, happy that she is seemingly coming around. "Now, let's put our heads together and think of a way to get together."

The Richardson Estate; Meggan, Lukas & Donovan's Home

"Thank you for talking to Donovan last night," Lukas tells Meggan as they sit together in the living room of the estate that they own. "I know he might not have been receptive to forgiving me but I can't thank you enough for going to bat for me."

Meggan takes a sip of her sparkling water as she recalls asking Donovan to forgive his husband despite being charged with rape by Craig. Meggan knows that Lukas made a mistake but she does believe that Donovan should forgive him so they can try to put their relationship back together. The last thing they need is for the marriage to also fall apart as a result of this.

"I just did what I thought was right," Meggan says back to him. "I just hope that Donovan listens to me."

"Me too," Lukas replies to her. "Do you remember our last conversation that we had?"

Meggan arches her eyebrow. "Uh, about what to have for breakfast?"

Lukas chuckles back to her. "Nah, a few weeks ago you suggested that I find a way to make the charges go away. I think I have found that way but I'll need your help."

Meggan looks back at him in surprise wondering how Lukas can make the rape charges go away. "How have you managed this? And, of course, I'll do anything I can to help."

"Craig wants 10 million dollars," Lukas stuns Meggan by his revelation. "If we can get him the money, he will drop the charges."

"Where are we going to get that kind of money?" Meggan asks him. "And my God, that's a lot of money!"

"I have an idea of where we can the money," Lukas tells her. "But you might not like it."

Twin Peaks Law Courts

"Please state your name for the record," the plaintiff tells Cheresa, who is about to take the witness stand following the opening statements of the trial.

Cheresa nervously looks at Brooke, who is sitting next to Josh, and then back at Trenyce who puts a smile on her face. "Cheresa Lawson," she finally says.

"You may be seated," Franklin Ross tells her before he looks at the file. "Now, it seems you are the child in question that was purchased from the black market. Is that correct?"

"I suppose so," Cheresa replies to him. "Sorry, your honor, this is all very surreal to me. I knew I was adopted because I'm black and my parents are white but I just found out about how they adopted me recently."

"It must have been pretty traumatic for you."

"You have no idea," Cheresa uneasily states.

"Were your parents, Brooke and Greg Lawson, good parents to you?" Franklin asks her next.

"Oh yes," Cheresa nods back to him. "They were always loving to me."

"I have to ask you this because it is in the notes from the federal government," Franklin looks down to her. "But, did your parents send you to a bible camp once you came out as being gay?"

"Yes, they did," Cheresa says looking back at Brooke and Greg, who feel their faces flush. "My mother, Brooke, she was really accepting, it was my Dad who had a more difficult time with it. But, as soon as I got back and he realized that I was still gay, he was very loving. I think my Mom talked to him a lot about it. I don't know, it was never issue again."

"That's good," Franklin tells her. "Did your parents ever tell you that you were purchased from the black market?"

"No. I just thought I was adopted, like I said."

Franklin takes a few more notes. "And now, you know who your biological parents are but I've noticed you are still calling the Lawson's Mom and Dad?"

"They will always be my parents," Cheresa makes eye contact with Trenyce, who gulps back to her. "No matter what happens, Brooke and Greg Lawson are my parents and I will always love them. Please, Judge, don't make my mother go to jail for giving me this life that I've lived. She gave me the best life she possibly could have. No one else could have given me this life, not even my biological parents."
