"You must be relieved that Brooke was only sentenced to community service,"
Kim looks over at Greg as they sit together in the back corner table of the restaurant
with glasses of wine in front of them. Kim was in the courtroom for most of the
trial that Brooke went through for buying Cheresa from the black market to support
Greg; she knows that he was worried that she would end up doing jail time for
bringing their daughter into their lives. Now that the trial is over, she hopes
that they can start to move on from this ordeal. "You have no idea,"
Greg takes a sip of his wine. "The entire family is just relived that this
is over." "How are you feeling about Brooke's admission of
still loving you?" Kim asks him wondering what is going through his mind.
"Despite everything, she still loves you Greg." Greg sighs
as he looks back at his lover. He hasn't been able to stop thinking about what
Brooke announced on the stand; afterwards, he did tell her that they could never
be together again because he doesn't trust her. "I saw her and told her that
we were over," he admits to her. "After her affair with Robbie, I don't
think I can ever trust her again." "That is more than reasonable,"
Kim nods back to him. "But, it is also understandable if you are questioning
things after the trial, Greg." Greg uneasily chuckles back to her.
"It's still so fresh for me, I guess," Greg admits to her. "I don't
know what's going to happen next, I guess I have to figure that out."
"I'm not going to pressure you at all," Kim looks back at him.
"But just know that I am here if or when you need me Greg. Whatever you need,
I'll be by your side." Roboto Robbie opens the door
to the main office at Roboto and moves straight to the bar. After the end of the
trial, he decided to come back to work to try to get his mind off the fact that
Brooke admitted that she still loves Greg while on the witness stand. He had sensed
that this was the case as she has seemingly been pushing him away for months but
hearing it from her mouth was still a blow to him. He takes a sip of his scotch
and then lets out a loud sigh. "Did the trial go that well?"
Natasha asks her brother as she moves inside the office. "I thought I heard
that Brooke got off on community service?" "You heard right,"
Robbie admits to her. "It's a long story, I don't really want to get into
it. Why are you here so late?" Natasha moves up to her brother and
pours herself a drink. She recalls how earlier she was at home and Jeff arrived
and announced to her that Cory had moved on from their marriage already; when
she pressed him for more details, he stunned her by revealing that Cory was sleeping
with Leah. Natasha can't believe that this is true but she's left wondering why
Jeff would lie to her about this. "I've had a long day," she
says back to him. "And, I was hoping work would help take my mind off things."
Robbie arches his eyebrow back to her. "Are you still concerned about
Jacob dating Paige?" "I am but this has to do with Cory and
my marriage." "Do you want to talk about it?"
"Do you remember when we saw Cory and Leah together and thought it was odd?"
she asks him as he nods back to her. "Well, turns out we had reason to think
this." "What do you mean?" Robbie asks her, confused by
what she is saying. "Jeff paid me a visit earlier," she reveals
to him. "And he told me that Cory and Leah are sleeping together now."
Robbie feels the blood drain from his face as he is stunned by Natasha's
words to him. "No, that's impossible. There's no way Leah would do that."
Natasha shrugs back to him, also seeking more answers. "Why would Jeff
lie to me about this? What does he have to gain?" "I can't
believe it," Robbie shakes his head back to her. "There's no way Leah
would get involved Cory. No, it's impossible Nat. It has to be."
Twin Peaks Medical Clinic "We'll call you when we are ready
for you," a young nurse smiles to Abby as she indicates for her to have a
seat in the waiting room of the medical clinic. Abby turns and sees Max
sitting waiting for her already. She sighs a little knowing that they are there
to have a paternity test done to see if Max or Andrew is the father of her child.
She realizes that Max is desperate to know the truth because of the fact that
he grew up without Adam in his life but she hopes to God that Andrew is the father
of her child. While he hasn't been supportive, so far, of the baby, she secretly
hopes that this will still be the reason that they are able to be together.
"She said she'll cause us when they are ready for us," she sits
next to Max. "How are you feeling? I already feel like the waiting
is killing me," he admits to her. "I guess it's a sign that I want the
child to be mine." "You really do, don't you?"
"Yea, of course," Max replies to her. "I know it might fuck up
my chances to get back together with Paige but I don't know, the thought of a
baby is exciting. I know it's a lot of work and I'm getting ahead of myself but,
yea, I'm stoked at the idea." Abby uneasily chuckles back to him.
"You're so different from Andrew." "Why do you say that?"
"He told me he's not ready to be a father," she reveals to him.
"He actually asked me to have the child aborted." "What?"
Max gasps back to her. "How did respond to that?" "The
only way I knew how," she looks back to him. "I told him it is my body,
and it's my choice." "I'm sorry he did that," Max grabs
her hand. "I not ever going to say that to any woman." Before
Abby can respond, the nurse comes up to the two of them. "Ms. Lawson, we
are ready for you now. You can follow me." Abby uneasily looks at
Max who nods back to her. Abby slowly stands up and then proceeds to follow the
nurse into a medical room. Paris, France Adam takes another
sip of his red wine as he sits outside in the Parisian café as he wonders
when he will be able to see Robin. He still can't get over the morning he has
had and all the historical sights he has seen in Paris. Now, he wants to ensure
that he can experience some of it with the woman he loves. He looks at his phone
and realizes that the afternoon is quickly slipping away. He starts to
type out a text message to Robin. "Bonjour
meet me at the Eiffel Tower
at 4 pm? We can go up the tower have a glass of champagne and then have the rest
of the night together?" He pushes send and then closes his phone
with a smile on his face. "Come on Robin, please be done work. Let's have
this night in Paris together." Across the street, Helen continues
to watch Adam's every move. She knows that will have to wait for the perfect moment
to reveal herself to him. Once she does, she knows with everything in her that
he will want to spend time with her in the most romantic city in the world. They
have too much history for Adam to reject her. Meanwhile, in Shane's hotel
room, Robin hears her phone chime. She picks it up and sees the message from Adam
and gets a smile on her face. "Is that from Adam?" Shane asks
her, trying not to sound jealous that she is making plans with Adam instead of
him while they are in Paris. "Is he trying to make plans with you?"
"He is," she smiles back to him. "He wants to meet at the
Eiffel tower at 4." "That's only an hour away," Shane
looks at his watch. "I think we are pretty much done here, Robin, if you
want to go change and get ready?" "Are you sure?" she
asks him looking into his eyes. "I know we still have some work to do."
"I don't have anyone special to meet while in Paris," Shane moves
closer to her. "You do, so I'll finish this work and you go have a good time
with Adam." "Thank you," Robin pulls him into a hug. "You're
a good man Shane, and a good friend." "I'll do anything for
you," he tells her as they lock eyes. "Now, go have fun."
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow." Shane sighs heavily as she rushes
out of the room, leaving him alone. He runs his hands through his hair. "I
have to get you out of my mind. I have too." ***
Back at the café, Adam sees an incoming text from Robin. "See you
there," it says as he gets a grin on his face. "Yes, this is
it," Adam stands up knowing that he wants to go back to his hotel to freshen
up before he goes to meet Robin. "We will be together." Across
the street, Helen sees Adam scurrying off and realizes that this is her time to
act. "You will be with me tonight Adam, not Robin. This has to happen,"
she tells herself as she races off to keep up with Adam, who is on his way back
to his hotel. Next on One Day at a Time - Helen reveals herself
to Adam - Abby has her test completed - Natasha and Robbie confront Leah
