The Pampa Grill

Lukas picks up his beer and takes a sip of it as he waits for Craig to arrive at the restaurant. He had invited Craig to join him so he could tell him about the update to obtaining the funds to pay Craig off; he still can't believe that Craig asked for 10 million dollars in order for him to drop the rape charges, which Lukas still thinks are bogus charges. Still, he knows that he has to everything he can to make the charges go away so he can move on with his life with Donovan as they were talking about adopting a child before he was arrested; he would love nothing more than to get back to that place with his husband.

"I'm surprised you wanted to meet me in public," Craig tells Lukas as he comes up to the table and sits across from him. "If anyone saw us together, they might start talking."

"I don't care what people say about me," Lukas replies to him. "I have nothing to hide."

Craig arches his eyebrow back to him. "If that's true, why were you asking me what it would take to make the charges go away?"

Lukas chuckles back to him. "Because Craig, I know that going to court would only hurt the people we care about. I don't want to drag my family through another court case, nor do I want all of my personal laundry aired out for the world to see."

"Well I gave you my number," Craig uneasily tells him. "10 million and I'll agree to drop the charges."

"That's what I'm here to tell you," Lukas replies to him quickly. "I got the money, you'll have your millions in a few days."

"What the hell are you talking about?" a stunned Donovan asks Lukas as he turns the corner and sees his husband sitting with Craig. He was planning to meet Eva at the restaurant but he thought he heard Lukas' voice. "You're paying Craig off? When did this happen? And why?"

Cassie finishes her coffee and sets down some money to pay for her and Max's breakfast. She recalls how she had the meal with her son and he told her that Abby is not carrying his baby; on some levels, Cassie is still wondering if Abby could be lying but to Max's point, why would she lie? On the other hand, Cassie is happy that Max isn't going to be the father because he wants to get back together with Paige. She'd like nothing more than Max to break up Jacob and Paige so she could have Jacob all to herself. Of course, that would play perfectly into her plans of revenge against the Calimo's and Dominick.

As she stands up to leave, Felicia quickly approaches her, having seen her when she was coming into the restaurant. "Cassie Nova, you're just the woman I need to see."

Cassie looks back at her and arches her eyebrow. "I'm not sure why? What on earth could you have to say to me, Felicia?"

"I saw you," Felicia reveals to her. "Leaving Dominick's office a few weeks ago."

Cassie immediately recalls how Dominick did tell her that Felicia saw her leave his office when they were discussing their plan to take down Roboto; of course, they have tried to be extra careful since that day and no one else has seen them. This happened a few weeks ago, so Cassie assumed that it was water under the bridge.

"You did?" Cassie asks her, playing dumb. "I don't even remember…oh wait, yes, I did pay him a visit. I'm not sure why you care that I was there, Felicia?"

"Dominick holds a very dear place in my heart," she tells Cassie, who rolls her eyes. "And, I know, well, of your history. You are to stay away from him, do you understand me?"

"You need to mind your own business," Cassie looks back at her with intent. "Don't you dare come here and threaten me because that would be a mistake," Cassie tells her. "And for the record, I have no use for Dominick, so don't you worry your pretty red hair on your head."

Felicia gulps at Cassie's words as Cassie walks away from her. She clutches her chest and hopes that she didn't just make an enemy in Cassie Nova, suddenly thinking about everything Cassie has done in the past.

The Sugarbowl

"I haven't had a chance to see Dawn yet since we've been back from France," Adam tells Helen as they sit next to each other at the window seats in the coffeehouse. "You went to Paris to see me, did Dawn even know you had left?"

Helen recalls how she snuck off to Paris in hopes of once he saw her, he would realize he loved her and then they would reunite. Of course, after she professed her love for him in Paris, he told her that he was still in love with Robin and he raced to be with her. Later, Helen saw Adam back in his hotel room and he told her that Robin didn't show up to the Eiffel Tower so they came home together.

"She knew I was away," Helen finally replies to him before she takes a sip of her latte. "But I didn't tell her where I was going. I didn't want her to tip you off that I was in Paris."

"I still can't believe that you surprised me," Adam shakes his head with a chuckle.

"I am still shocked that Robin stood you up at the Eiffel Tower," Helen gasps back to him. "That is the true surprise in all of this."

"Uh, yea, about that," Adam looks back to her. "I actually ran into Robin the other day and we talked about what happened."

"And? What did she have to say for herself?"

"That we literally crossed paths and missed each other by about 5 minutes or so," Adam relays the story to her. "I left Paris while Robin was waiting for me. I feel awful."

"Oh," Helen uneasily says back to him. "So, you both were there just at different times. What does that mean for your future?"

"We are back together," Adam tells Helen. "We are going to make our relationship work. For real this time, no conditions, just us, trying."

Helen feels her heart sink in her chest. Once again she had gotten her hopes up that she and Adam might get back together after he thought Robin stood him up. And now, she is learning that they are back together.

"Well, I hope it works out," Helen uneasily tells him. "I do still love you Adam, but I won't stand in your way."

"Thanks Helen. And I love you too, you'll always be in my life."

At the back booth of the coffeehouse, Brooke sits with Cheresa and Abby as the three women are catching up. Cheresa looks at her mother and is still thrilled that didn't have to do jail time for buying her from the black market. She also knows that she only agreed to meet her family today because Brooke told her that Brad couldn't join them; the last thing she wanted to do was be around the man who is having an affair with Trenyce.

"Are you finally feeling better?" Brooke asks Abby, as she recalls how Abby was telling her that she was under the weather for a while.

Abby uneasily looks back at her mother and her sister and knows that she isn't ready to tell them about the baby yet; she has only just learned that Max is really the father of the baby but has told both him and Andrew that Andrew is the father of the baby. She needs to get this all sorted in her mind before she continues to tell people what is going on with her.

"Yea, I think so," Abby nods back to her. "I think it was mostly stress caused by the trial. I was so worried we were going to lose you, Mom."

"I'm not going anywhere, don't you worry about that," Brooke tells her daughter's. "Now that I'm free, I want to put this entire year behind us and move on."

"How do you want to do that?" Cheresa asks her mother. "Is Dad still pressing you for a divorce?"

"He is," Brooke uneasily tells them. "But I am determined to not let that bring me down. I am a free woman, I want to make the most of this."

"I am so proud of you Mom," Abby reaches over and grabs her hand. "You are making the most of your life, that's how I want to be. I need to more like you.

"Me too," Cheresa chuckles to them as she puts her hand on her mother and sister's. "We could learn from you, Mom."

Brooke gets tears in her eyes listening to her daughter's. "You two are the best daughter's I could ask for. I'm so blessed to have you."

"We are the lucky ones, Mom," Cheresa hugs her as Abby watches from the other side of the booth.

Roboto

Robbie slowly opens the door to the main office and Roboto and moves inside quickly, immediately seeing Kim sitting behind the main desk in the office. As he sees her, he can't help but remember how he kissed her recently when they were working together. He doesn't know what came over him, but he hasn't been able to stop thinking about. Seeing her now, he can almost taste her lips on his again, which is crazy because he knows nothing can ever happen with her.

He finally clears his throat causing Kim to look up and see him in the office. "Oh hey," she says back to him. "I'm just working on that report for the launch party that you and Natasha wanted."

"Can you take 5 minutes to talk to me?" he asks her as he moves closer to the desk. "I think we need to talk, don't you?"

Kim leans back in the chair and folds her arms over her chest. "You mean about what happened the other morning? Yea, I do think we need to talk about it."

"I don't know what came over me," Robbie admits to her, feeling his cheeks blush. "I … I never meant to make you uncomfortable."

"I was just surprised more than anything, Robbie," Kim replies to him. "The last time you kissed me, you were using me to get back at your father for his role in the explosion that happened in Lake Tahoe all those years ago."

"I remember," Robbie nods back to her. "I guess I've just been feeling down about my love life lately and you are an attractive woman. Like I said, I don't know what came over me but I know it can't happen again."

"You're damn straight it can't happen again," she tells him. "We can never cross that line again."

"What line would that be?" Natasha asks as she comes into the office having overheard the tail end of their discussion. "What's going on in here?"

"Robbie and I were just talking about the launch party," Kim covers with Natasha. "I was saying that I don't want anything to happen at our launch that happened with Robertson's Gravity launch last November; that's a line I don't want to cross."

"Of course not," Natasha rolls her eyes back to her. "We would never do that," she continues, clearly oblivious to the real reason they were talking. "Can I see the report? I want the update."

"Sure," Kim replies to her as she moves back to the desk but she looks up at Robbie and their eyes lock with one another, both still thinking about the kiss that they shared.

The Tower's; The Penthouse; Cory's Home

"How are you holding up?" Cory asks Leah as he passes her a glass of white wine and then moves over to sit next to her on the sofa. He and Leah just got Paige to leave the penthouse after she confronted them about their affair; of course, she was livid that Leah was sleeping with Cory, who is Robin's ex-husband. Paige accused her mother of being a hypocrite with telling Paige who she can and can't see but would end up seeing Cory. Cory can only imagine how Leah is feeling following Paige's wrath.

"I need this wine," she admits to him before she takes a sip of it. "I have never seen Paige so distraught before."

"I told you that us becoming public would create a lot of reactions," Cory tries to chuckle back to her. "Paige is likely just the first."

"I know."

"Are you still sure you want to go through with this?"

"It's a little late," Leah tells him. "We are in the middle of it."

Before Cory can reply, they hear a knock on the door. They look at one another wondering who is coming to see them about their romance now. "I'll get it," she tells him as she sets the wine glass down and moves towards the door. She opens the door and sees Robin standing on the other side.

"My God, it's true," Robin gasps back to her sister. "You're sleeping with my ex-husband?"

"Robin," Leah replies to her as Robin moves inside the penthouse and sees Cory. "I get that you're upset but we can explain."

"Explain? You can explain that you two are in bed with one another?" Robin shrieks back to them, still upset by this news.

"It just happened," Cory stands up from the sofa and looks at Robin. "We never meant to hurt anyone by this."

"I know that we have been over for a very long time, Cory," Robin looks him dead in the face. "But what you and I went through, I thought that bond would be forever. We…our daughter!"

"I know," Cory moves up to her, thinking about how Robin was pregnant with his child and she was kidnapped by her stalker from Robertson Enterprises. He kidnapped her to the Calimo cabin where she gave birth to a stillborn girl. "And, I haven't forgotten about her. I never could."

"But you could sleep with my sister?" Robin asks him back before she looks over at her sister. "And you! What about girl code? Ugh! No. This … this is just too close to home. I don't like this, not one bit!"

The Pampa Grill

"Answer me Lukas! Why are you going to pay off Craig?" Donovan demands answers from his husband before he shoots Craig a dirty look.

"I can explain," Lukas tells his husband. "I asked Craig what it would take to make the charges go away and he gave me a number. I happened to still have some of Frederick's inheritance tied up in GIC's that Meggan and I are withdrawing. Once that is completed, I will give Craig the money and this will go away."

"I don't believe this," Donovan shakes his head back to them. "That you actually asked Craig for a number and that you gave Lukas a number! You're basically blackmailing him!"

"I'm doing no such thing," Craig huffs back to him. "Lukas has a valid point, this will prevent us from going to court; do you really want your husband's dirty laundry aired out?"

"I wish this never happened in the first place!" Donovan yells back to them.

"Well it did happen, and this is how it will go away," Craig stands up and looks back at Lukas. "Let me know when my money is here."

Craig storms off leaving the married couple alone with one another. Donovan looks back at Lukas and sighs heavily. "You better hope that no one else finds out about this, or else you could have just made your situation even worse."

Next on One Day at a Time
- Adam & Robin try to plan their wedding
- Craig gets a surprising offer
