The Cascade Apartments; Apartment 507; Craig's Home

"Okay, so we are clear," Lukas looks over at Craig with intent as they are expecting Simona Lopez to arrive at his apartment any moment now. Lukas arrived at Craig's earlier in the day to give him the cheque for 10 million dollars that he got from withdrawing some of Frederick's GIC's, but he insisted that Craig call Simona and drop the rape charges before he would hand over the money. While on the phone with Simona, Craig learned that she wanted to see him before she dropped the charges. Now, Lukas is worried that Simona will clue into the fact that he is trying to buy off Craig, which is what Donovan's fears were all along. "Not a word about the money. That will just create more problems for the both of us."

"I know, I know," Craig sighs back to him. "You've only said that about 10 times since I got off the phone with Simona. I won't mention our arrangement."

"If you do Craig, this entire thing could blow up in our faces," Lukas replies to him quickly. "We could both be charged with conspiracy or something like that."

"I won't say anything," Craig huffs back to him. "In case you've forgotten, I want that money as much as you want these rape charges to go away. This is a win-win situation for both of us."

"I know, I'm just nervous. I didn't expect Simona would want to see you about dropping the charges."

"I have this covered, please don't worry," Craig tries to reassure him as they hear a knock on the door. "That's her, its show time."

Craig and Lukas uneasily look at one another one more time before Craig moves to the door of his apartment. He opens it and sees Simona on the other side of the door. "Detective, please come in."

"Thank you," she says as she moves into the apartment but she freezes when she sees Lukas standing in the living room. "Mr. Richardson? What are you doing here? What's going on here?" she asks before she turns back to look at Craig.

The Pampa Grill

The restaurant has been transformed into the venue of the launch of the Roboto serum, Youth. In the middle of the restaurant, there is a stage where the Roboto staff will make the announcements of the launch; waiters are circling the rest of the space with champagne. Along the perimeters of the restaurant, there are tables lined with gift bags that are filled with Roboto products, most importantly the new serum.

"This place looks incredible," Natasha looks over to Kim, Cassie and Robbie and smiles at them. "We have all put so much work into this, I'm thrilled."

Robbie looks at Natasha and then at Kim. "You know, Dad would be really proud of us right now. After everything we went through last year, for us to be in this position really says a lot."

"I couldn't agree more," Kim nods back to them, as she looks at Robbie and thinks about the kiss they recently shared. "Bob is smiling down upon us tonight."

Cassie rolls her eyes knowing that she has to keep carrying out her part of her plan. "Are you guys okay to handle the announcements? I want to head back to the office and grab more gift bags; I don't want to run out."

"Yea, we have it covered," Natasha tells her. "The announcement needs to come from Calimo's as this is a family company."

"Great, keep me posted, I shouldn't be too long," Cassie replies to her quickly, before she makes a quick exit. She knows that she doesn't want to be around if and when Dominick shows up; the last thing she needs is for people to point the finger at her if Dominick was able to release his serum first. Besides, she knows that she has more to do with her plan of revenge at the office.

"We'll do the announcement in a half hour or so?" Kim looks at her step children. "That will give us some time to mingle with our guests?"

"That works," Robbie nods back to her. "Nat, you and I will run the mic?"

"Perfect," Natasha smiles back to her brother.

Brooke grabs a glass of champagne from a wondering waiter and quickly takes a sip of it. She looks over and sees Robbie standing with Natasha and Kim; a part of her can't help but think that he is looking incredibly handsome in his tux but she knows that she has made it perfectly clear to him that she has moved on from their fling. She has been so desperate to try to get back together with Greg, but nothing has seemingly worked so far. She even went as far as to suggest that he move back into the Lawson mansion so they can try to put their relationship back together.

"I can't give up," she sighs to herself, recalling how she told him that she won't continue to press him to reunite if he truly didn't want too. "I have to figure out how to stop pressing but also not giving up on him. My marriage means so much to me, I realize that now."

She takes another healthy sip of her champagne as a man approaches. "Are you Brooke Lawson?"

"Yes, I am. Why do you ask?"

"You've been served," the man tells her as he passes her an envelope.

Brooke feels the blood drain from her face as she tears it open and gasps when she sees what's inside. "Divorce papers," she says as she looks around to ensure no one has seen what just happened. "Damn it, Greg. This can't end this way! It just can't!"

"You look a lot better than the last time I saw you," Kim tells Andy as her brother takes a sip of his sparkling cider, since he won't have the champagne. Kim knows that he has been struggling with his sleep as he continues to hear the odd scratching noise in the Young mansion. Kim only hopes that he has taken some steps to ensure that he can figure out what the noise is, like calling an exterminator.

"Gee, thanks?" Andy uneasily chuckles back to her. "Honestly, Nicholas left earlier for a business trip and I had a nap. For the first time in a long time, I really slept. I mean, I slept for about 5 hours straight."

"And, you didn't hear the noise?"

"No," Andy smiles back to her. "I have to admit, I was worried about what was going to happen with Nicholas being out of town but so far so good."

"Good, let's hope it stays that way!"

"Are you sure we should be here?" a nervous Leah asks Cory as they each grab a glass of champagne from a waiter who walks by. Leah knows that Natasha and Robbie, in particular, have not been happy to learn about their affair, so being at their companies launch party is risky business.

"I'm sure," Cory replies to her, hoping that he is right. "The more people see us together the more normal it becomes and they can get used to it. Besides, after my last visit with Natasha, I want to let her know that she can't keep Sophie from me."

"I can't believe that she went that far as to threaten you with your daughter," Leah shakes her head back to her before she takes a sip of her champagne. "I feel like this is all getting out of hand."

"You mean with Paige being upset with you too?" Cory asks her, knowing that Leah's daughter is also not taking this news very well.

"She's equating you and I being together to her and Jacob dating," Leah admits to him. "I don't know, I just wish this wasn't hurting so many people."

"Hey, are you happy?" Cory looks into her eyes. "Cause, you are making me a very happy man."

Leah smiles back to him. "I am happy," she nods back to him. "I think we have something really good together."

Cory leans in and kisses her on the lips, which Natasha spies from across the room, which makes her blood boil. "Then that's all that matters, you and I are the ones doing this, everyone else just has to learn to accept it."

Will grabs a glass of champagne and takes a sip of it as he looks around the room for Eva. He was hoping to see her so he can continue to pursue her; he knows that Kim has paid him to pursue Eva, but if he's honest, he's also doing it for selfish reasons. From the moment he saw Eva again after getting released from jail, he has felt incredibly attracted to her again. Of course, he doesn't want to hurt her, but if he can have another chance with her, he will gladly take it. The fact that he is getting paid to also pursue her is just an added perk.

He pulls out his cell phone and sends her a text message. "At the Roboto launch?"

He sees the blue bubbles quickly typing back to him. "No, Dominick would be furious … at home."

"Is he home?"

"No, he is at work…"

Will puts his phone in his pocket and then finishes his glass of champagne. He sets the glass down before he heads straight to the exit.

"I can't help but wonder why Dominick suggested we attend this event," Paige tells Max as they each hold a glass of champagne in their hands. They were at work when Dominick advised them that they should go to the launch of Roboto's latest product, although neither one would know why he would suggest such a thing. "We are their biggest competition."

"Your grandfather probably has something up his sleeve?" Max asks her back as Paige shrugs. "Is Jacob coming?"

"Yea, he's running late," Paige replies to him. "And before you ask, yes we are still going out. Things are going really well for us."

Max uneasily sighs back to her as he longs that he wishes that he and Paige would get back together, especially now that he knows he isn't the father of Abby's baby. "I know that I've been kind of a jerk to you lately and I'm sorry. I don't want any bad blood between us Abby."

"If you mean that then you will support my decision to be with Jacob."

"I recently went through something a little traumatic," he cryptically tells me. "It just made me realize that life is short and you have to do whatever it is that makes you happy."

"Traumatic? Are you okay?" Paige asks him in concern.

"I'll be fine," he nods back to her. "Just know that I only want your happiness, Paige."

Paige pulls him into a hug. "I only want that for you too Max," she whispers into his ears, as Jacob emerges and sees his girlfriend in the arms of her former lover.

"Hey Dawn, how are you?" Trenyce asks the younger woman as she moves up to her, holding a glass of champagne. Trenyce saw Cheresa's girlfriend from across the restaurant and thought it would be a good idea to approach her to see if Dawn could shed any light on the status of Cheresa's thoughts and feelings about having a relationship with her and Chris. Trenyce is still desperate to have some kind of relationship with her daughter now that she has found her, but Cheresa continues to push her and Chris away.

"I'm alright, how are you?" Dawn uneasily says back to her as she immediately thinks back to Cheresa telling her about the fact that she saw Trenyce and Brad in bed together; Its why Cheresa has her walls up again.

"Doing good, I was hoping we could talk?" Trenyce says back to her. "It's about Cheresa?"

"I'm not sure I should get in the middle of anything," Dawn waves her hand in the air. "I get that you're her mother but you have to understand…"

"Yea, yea, I know, she needs time to process everything," Trenyce sighs back to her. "The truth is, Dawn, I've given my daughter nothing but time. But you see, there's always an excuse about needing more time. First it was wrapping her head around the truth, then she was focused on Brooke's trial…now, I don't even know what it is now. There's just always something. And, all I want is for my daughter to be in my life. Is that too much to ask for?"

"Of course not," Dawn looks back at her. "I sympathize with you, I really do, but you sort of brought this on yourself."

Trenyce looks back at her in shock. "What do you mean?"

"You and Cheresa," Dawn replies to her. "You had a close moment here, at the Pampa Grill, one night right before Brooke's trial. I told her to go see you."

Trenyce arches her eyebrow back to her. "I don't remember Cheresa coming to see me."

"You didn't see her, but she saw you…" Dawn replies to her. "You were in bed with her brother."

Trenyce feels the blood drain from her face as she thinks back to the night with Brad at her house. "No, no, this can't be happening."

"It's true," Dawn nods back to her. "Cheresa is pushing you away because she saw you in bed with Brad."

Robertson Enterprises; Dominick's Office

The door to Dominick's office slowly opens and Cassie enters the office. She uses the flashlight on her phone to give herself light. She moves to the desk and finds Dominick's laptop, which she turns on. She remembers being in this very office with Dominick, the night that Felicia saw her leaving the office, and seeing him type in his password. She uses it now "Eva2021" and logs into the system.

"That was too easy," she purses her lips together as the main Robertson Enterprises screen appears on the laptop. She looks at the various icons on the desktop until she sees the one for Dominick's business banking account. She clicks on it and suddenly, she is taken to Robertson Enterprises bank accounts. No password is required because Dominick has it saved on the website.

"Oh this is too easy," Cassie giggles to herself as she sees the various accounts on the screen in front of her. "Okay, I have to use the account that he won't notice anything right away. Like this one, she says as she sees an off shore account. Now, just to activate the transfer and my plan will be all set into motion."

She starts typing as she gets a wicked grin on her face, thrilled that her plans are all seemingly coming together.

Dominick's Townhouse

"Hold on, I'm coming," Eva says as she rushes to the front door of the house she shares with Dominick. She has no idea who could be at her door since she thought most people would be at the launch. In fact, Dominick suggested that they go, but Eva thought it would be inappropriate for them to be there since he runs the competition. To her surprise, he was rather disappointed that she didn't want to go but Eva knows that she sent Natasha some flowers to congratulate her daughter on the launch of the latest Roboto product. She opens the door and is stunned to see Will on the other side of the door. "Will, what are you doing here?"

"You said your husband wasn't home, so I thought I'd stop by and keep you company," he winks back to her as moves inside the house.

"Are you out of your mind?" she gasps back to him. "If Dominick comes home and finds you here, he will lose it!"

"I'll take that chance," he tells her. "How about we have one drink together, then I'll be on my way. You've always said that he's at the office until the wee hours of the night. And you, you look like you could use a drink and some company."

Eva looks into his eyes and can't help but feel her knees get a little weak. "Fine, fine, you win," Eva moves over to the bar. "One drink, then you must go."

"Sure," Will smiles back to her. "Now, you can tell me why you look so damn beautiful tonight?"

"Oh Will, stop," she flushes as she passes him a whiskey. "You flatter me."

"I'm just being honest, Eva, you're a beautiful woman. You always have been."

"Well, I appreciate that very much," Eva takes a sip of her drink as their eyes lock again.

The Pampa Grill

"Ladies and gentlemen, can we please have your attention," Natasha announces to the crowd in the restaurant as Kim and Robbie stand behind her. "We are thrilled that you could all be here tonight to experience the revolution launch of the latest Roboto product."

"As you all know," Robbie moves up to the podium to take over for his sister. "Roboto is a family company and a little over a year ago, we lost our father, the founder of this wonderful company."

"After some mourning time, we realized that Roboto was not dead and we still had to make good products that our customers have come to expect from us," Natasha continues. "Together, the leadership team came up with the anti-aging serum, which we've called Youth. Tonight, we are thrilled to announce that Youth will be on shelves, everywhere, tomorrow morning."

The audience starts to applaud as Dominick suddenly appears in the center of the room cheering louder than everyone else. Robbie, Natasha and Kim look at one another in surprise as they wonder what Dominick is doing. "Uh, Dominick, are you okay?" Robbie asks him, outside of the microphone. Felicia happens to notice Dominick and arches her eyebrow, wondering what he is up too.

"I've never been better, Dominick smiles back to the gang on the podium. "You see, Robertson Enterprises has one upped Roboto, yet again."

"What are you talking about?" Kim asks him as she puts her hand on her hip.

"Just earlier today, we launched our own anti-aging serum and we called it Youthful. It's on shelves already, we will have a full 20 hours of the people buying my product over yours!"

Robbie, Natasha and Kim gasp ou tloud with the rest of the crowd, stunned by his reveal. "So you see, the Robertson's will always come out on top, and the Calimo's and Roboto will always come out on the bottom, where you belong!"

The Cascade Apartments; Apartment 507; Craig's Home

"So, you see detective, after Lukas and I discussed everything again, I just realized that I was wrong about my interpretation of what happened that night in the cave last fall," Craig looks back at Simona as they sit next to one another on the sofa in the living room of Craig's apartment.

Lukas listens intently and feels his heart racing a million miles a second; he hopes that Simona believes Craig's sudden change in heart regarding the rape charges or else this entire plan would have been for nothing.

"You realize that this is all very odd," Simona tells Craig. "You came to me and wanted him charged with rape, now months later, you've had a change of heart because the two of you discussed it? Why didn't you discuss it before you charged him with rape?"

"I was confused," Craig admits to her. "I had lost my memory and when it all came flooding back to me, it was overwhelming. I acted on impulse. I'm really sorry for having wasted your time."

"You did waste my time and the entire PD's time Dr. Benton," Simona snaps back at him. "But, I have to follow your orders, if you want the charges dropped, then they will be dropped."

Simona looks over at Lukas with an annoyed look on her face. "It looks like you're about to be a free man," she tells him as she stands up. "I'll officially have the charges dropped as soon as I get back to my desk. In the future, neither of you better waste my time with anything like this again, cause I won't be so nice."

"We understand, thank you detective," Craig tells as he walks her to the door. Simona leaves and Craig turns around to face Lukas. "We did it! We really did it!"
