"So, Paige asked you to support her decision to marry Jacob when you
spoke to her?" Jeff asks his ex-wife as they sit across from one another
in the back booth of the coffeehouse. Leah just told Jeff that she was with their
daughter earlier in the day discussing her engagement to Jacob; Leah, once again,
presented Paige with some of her concerns, but Paige shot them all down and just
asked for her mother's support. "She did," Leah uneasily nods
back to him. "I wasn't sure what to say so I told her that I would think
about it." "I just wish she would realize why we are concerned
about her getting married," Jeff says back to her. "She's so young,
I don't understand what the rush is!" "Neither do I,"
Leah admits to him. "She just claims that she is in love with him and wants
to be with him. A part of me understands where she is coming from, I was young
and in love once upon a time." "That was a life time ago,"
Jeff locks eyes with her. "But, we did want to be married when we had Noah."
"My God," Leah gasps back to him. "You don't think she's pregnant,
do you? Is that why she is rushing into marriage?" "I don't
think so," Jeff shakes his head back to her. "I think she would have
mentioned something, right?" "I hope so," Leah admits
to him. "I just don't want her making a mistake and I have this feeling that
marrying Jacob is just that, a mistake." "Then we have to work
together to ensure this wedding doesn't happen Leah," Jeff tells her. "We
have to stop our daughter from making a mistake." At the doorway
of the coffeehouse, Cory stands and sees Leah and Jeff talking in the back corner.
Instantly, he feels pains of jealousy in the back of his stomach. He knows that
they have a ton of history together and Jeff, recently, tried to get back together
with Leah. He leaves having not been seen, but wondering what Leah and Jeff were
doing together. Roboto "You know, in all my years
of knowing Natasha, I don't think I've ever seen her that mad before," Kim
notes to Robbie as she moves to the bar in the main office of Roboto and pours
herself a glass of white wine. Kim recalls how Natasha, earlier in the morning,
just ripped into her, Robbie and Cassie for Eva's affair becoming public and for
the fact that Cassie told Eva that Kim hired Will to seduce her. Eva, of course,
was livid that Natasha knew the entire time and didn't say anything.
"Really?" Robbie asks her back. "I'm pretty sure she was that mad
when we contested my father's will." "Oh God," Kim groans
back to him. "I don't want to think about those times ever again."
Robbie chuckles back to her. "In any event, I think you handled yourself
extremely well. Natasha was upset, but we have to focus on Roboto right now."
"I couldn't agree more," Kim nods back to him before she takes
a sip of her wine. "And, for the record, I am sorry that this scheme has
blown up the way it has." "I hate that Natasha is upset,"
Robbie admits to her. "But, the more I have thought about it, the more I
agree with you, I think this is something my father absolutely would have done."
"I'm glad that you think so," Kim purses her lips together. She
notices Robbie looking at her and immediately turns away. "Robbie, we can't
do that again. We've been over this." "Do what? I was just
looking at you while we spoke?" "You had that look in your
eye," she looks back at him. "My God, even Greg knows that we have been
growing closer." Robbie arches his eyebrow. "Greg knows? What
exactly does he know?" "No details," Kim waves her hand
in the air. "I didn't tell him that we've kissed but he saw us together the
other day so I had to tell him that we were growing closer because he could sense
something was up." "And, what did he say?" "He
asked me if he had competition for my affections." "Does he?"
Kim looks back at him in surprise. "I don't know Robbie, does he?"
Robbie blushes back to him. "I don't know what is going on between us
Kim, I really don't," he admits to her. "All I know is that I can't
stop thinking about you or the kisses we have shared. For as much as I've tried,
I can't stop it at all." Kim uneasily chuckles back to him. "Well
that's interesting because I feel the exact same way." "Then
the question becomes, what are we going to do about it?" Robbie asks her
as they lock eyes again. The Pampa Grill "I still
can't get over Natasha knowing about Kim's plan to hire Will to seduce Mom,"
Victoria tells Donovan as they sit across from each other in the restaurant, each
with a glass of red wine in front of them. Victoria knows that they were just
with their mother when she told them the horrible truth about Kim and Roboto's
plan; neither one of them can really believe that Natasha would go along with
this plan to hurt their mother. "I know," Donovan takes a sip
of his wine. "And, I'm not sure there's anything that she can say that would
make this okay." "There's nothing she can say," Victoria
replies to him. "Sometimes people do horrible things and there's no excuse."
Donovan looks back at his sister with intent. "Why do I get the feeling
you're not talking about Natasha anymore?" "Because,"
she takes a sip of her wine. "I'm not. I'm talking about Vinny. I can't get
over the fact that he was holding Daisy and Brett hostage in the mansion for months
and I had no idea!" "How were you to know any of that was happening?"
Donovan asks her back. "It's not like he was openly telling people about
his plan." Victoria shrugs her shoulders. "I was stupid for
getting back involved with him so quickly. I should have gone slower and maybe
then I would have realized what was happening." "If it wasn't
for you finding the secret passage, Daisy and Brett might still be in that cage,"
Donovan tells her. "You have to stop beating yourself up, Vic. Vinny fooled
everyone." "I just hope he pays for what he has done,"
Victoria says back to him. "If he is the twin who lived, he has to pay."
"Any idea when we will get the DNA test back?" Victoria
shakes her head back to him. "I have no idea but I hope it's soon. The sooner
we know what is going on, the sooner we can all start to truly move on with our
lives." *** Nicholas opens the door to the restaurant
and races to the bar, where he orders a shot of tequila. He needs something to
jolt him since he just found out that his mother, Melissa, hired the man who looks
like Reese to gaslight Andy. For months, these visions of Reese that have been
tormenting Andy were all because of Melissa's sick and twisted plan. He can't
believe his mother would be so cruel, but now he has to make sure that Andy knows
the truth so he can move on from this nightmare. He takes a quick shot
of the tequila and then makes a sour face. "Thanks," he tells the bartender
before he grabs his phone. He dials Andy's number but it goes to voicemail.
"Come on Andy," he whispers to himself. "Pick up, I have to
talk to you." He hangs up and pays his bill. He turns to leave realizing
that he has to get to Andy's as soon as he can to tell him that he isn't crazy;
he did see Reese, only it wasn't Reese, it was the man that Melissa hired to torture
him. *** At another table, Abby sits with a chicken salad
in front of her and a glass of sparkling water. She knows that she has to keep
up her energy, but she hasn't been able to stop thinking about how Andrew missed
their appointment with the social worker regarding the pending adoption of their
baby the day before. The last few weeks Andrew has been very content and active
with everything relating to the baby, so it's not like him to have missed the
appointment. "Abby, hi," Andrew says as he comes up to her
table. "I just got your message and came right now. Is everything okay?"
"You tell me?" Abby puts her fork down and looks at him. "You
were supposed to meet at the One Day House yesterday for our appointment with
the social worker. But you missed it?" Andrew feels his cheeks flush
with embarrassment as he realizes that he and Albertinah were making love at the
time of the appointment; he knows that if he tells Abby the truth about where
he was, she will be livid with him. Still, he can't believe that he forgot about
the appointment, especially considering he wants Abby to go through with the adoption.
"Damn, I'm so sorry that I forgot," Andrew shakes his head back
to him. "I lost track of time, completely." "What were
you doing that was so important?" Abby asks him quickly. "I
was at the hospital," Andrew explains to her. "I was with Trenyce while
we were waiting to hear about Chris. You know he was in that car accident."
"Yea, you told me. Is he going to be okay?" "He should
be fine," Andrew nods back to her. "But he was drunk when he was driving,
so he's going to be facing some legal problems," Andrew continues to explain
to her. "I'm sorry that I lost track of the time, I was just so wrapped up
in that drama." "It's okay," Abby smiles back over to
him, glad that he had a good reason for missing the appointment. "I figured
it had to be something important, I'm just glad that you're okay. I was worried
about you, Andrew." "Yea, I'm good," Andrew nods back
to her. "And, you're still good? The appointment went well?"
"The appointment went better than okay," Abby says back to him. "Apparently
a gay couple is the couple that is going to adopt the baby. The final paper work
just has to be signed after I give birth." "Then everything
is on track," Andrew grins to her. "We are doing the right there here,
Abs. I know we are." Twin Peaks General Hospital
"Are you ready to go home?" Helen looks over at Adam, who is standing
beside the hospital bed that he has been in the last few days. Helen and Dawn
are taking Adam home now as he has been discharged following his car accident
that he was involved in with Chris; of course, they know that because of Adam's
short-term memory loss, they have to pretend that Helen and Adam are still happily
married or else they could risk Adam's recovery taking longer. "I
have never been more ready to leave a place," Adam chuckles back to her.
"It's been too long since I've seen the inside of the house and had family
dinners." "It'll be good to have you home Dad," Dawn tells
her father, as she smiles over to him. "Ditto kiddo," Adam
says back to her. "Is Barbara going to be there when I get home? Or is she
at a church group?" Helen and Dawn look at each other quickly as
they know that Barbara died a few years earlier when she was at Raven's Meadow;
they can't tell Adam the truth, though, because they don't want this news to set
him back. "She's at a retreat," Dawn quickly tells him, as
she looks over at Helen to make sure she caught on to the story that she just
told Adam. "She'll be away for the new few weeks." "Ah,
that's nice for her," Adam nods back to them. "I always thought she
was too much of a homebody." "Well, shall we?" Helen asks
him as she moves to the door and opens it. "The sooner we leave, the sooner
we can get you home." "I'm so ready," Adam says as he
follows Helen out of the hospital room and into the hallway, where Shane and Robin
are standing together talking. "See ya later guys," Adam waves to them
as he walks with Helen and Dawn. Helen turns and smiles at Robin as they walk
away from her. Robin fumes and looks at Shane. "God, I hate this,"
she tells him. "I need Adam's memory to come back as soon as possible!"
"I know that you want that," Shane replies to her quickly. "But,
Robin, you have to remember that you're pregnant. I need you stay calm so you
don't hurt the baby." "Don't worry," Robin waves her hand
back to him. "I won't do anything that will hurt my baby, he or she is the
most important thing to me. But, I have to make sure Adam gets his memory back
before Helen sinks her claws into him even more." ***
"I can't believe that I was stupid enough to drink and drive,"
Chris groans to Trenyce as she sits next to him in his hospital bed. Chris feels
awful for his role in the accident that he caused because he had been drinking
too heavily at BarCode. "The good news is that you and Adam will
make full recoveries," Trenyce replies to him. "Nothing else matters
because this could have turned out a lot worse." "Yea you're
right," Chris nods back to her. "I guess that is the only silver lining
in all of this." "I have to tell you though," Trenyce
looks back at him. "Simona Lopez was here and she did tell me that she is
planning to lay charges against you." Chris uneasily shrugs back
to her. "I can't say that I'm surprised," he admits to her. "I
am to blame for this accident, I could have killed myself or worse, Adam."
"It might mean jail time, Chris," Trenyce says back to him. "I
don't want to lose you for that amount of time." Before he can respond,
there is a knock on the hospital door. They look back and are surprised to see
Cheresa moving inside the room. "They told me you were seeing visitors,"
she slowly says as she comes into the room. "Glad to see you awake."
"Cheresa, this is a surprise." Cheresa slowly moves closer
to his bed. "When I heard that you were in an accident, I couldn't help but
be worried about you. Are you sure that you're going to be okay?"
"Yea, I'm sure that I'm going to be okay," Chris smiles back to her.
"I think this is a good sign, don't you?" "What do you
mean?" Cheresa uneasily asks him back. "You were worried about
me," he winks back to her. "Maybe it means that we can have some kind
of relationship after all?" Dominick's Townhouse
"Dominick" Eva calls out as she opens the door to the house she has
shared with her husband for years and moves inside. "Dominick, are you here?
We have to talk!" Eva moves inside the living room and sees her
husband pouring himself a stiff drink. "Didn't you hear me calling for you?"
she asks him as she puts her purse down on the table and looks at her husband.
"We have to talk, Dominick." "Do we?" he asks her
as he takes a sip of his scotch. "The last time we spoke, I threw you out
of this house. Yet, here you are back again like a stray cat." "Please
Dominick," she ignores his comments. "I found something out, something
that will change everything." Dominick turns to her and arches his
eyebrow. "Unless it is the fact that you didn't actually sleep with Will,
I'm not sure it will make any damn difference at all." "Kim
Calimo hired Will to seduce me," she stuns him by her revelation. "She
thought that if your world was turned upside, she and Roboto could come back on
top in the corporate world." Dominick uneasily chuckles back to
her. "How does this make any difference at all to our marriage, Eva?"
"Because," she protests to him. "It proves that I was set
up just like you were! Don't you see, the Calimo's set out to destroy me and our
marriage, Dominick!" "And you played right into their hands,"
Dominick yells at her. "You couldn't resist your younger lover and as a result,
Kim's plan worked perfectly!" "No," Eva shakes her head
back to him. "Yes,
because if you hadn't slept with Will then no amount of money in the world that
Kim gave Will would have made a damn difference!" Dominick continues to yell
at her. "This is all on you Eva!" "I just want to make
things right between us," Eva covers her mouth as another tear falls down
her cheek. "Please, give me the chance to make this right."
"That's the problem," Dominick whispers back to her. "There's not
a damn thing you can do to make this right, Eva. Not a single damn thing."
Next on One Day at a Time - Andy decides to take matters into
his own hands - Cheresa's world is rocked again - Daisy visits Vinny/Brett | |
