Theme song: "happiness is a butterfly" Lana Del Rey Previously
on One Day at a Time - Cassie tied Jacob and Paige up in a garage and
drove the rental car towards them - Jeff, Shane and Max raced to Banff to
try to save Paige and Jacob - Dawn told Adam and Helen that Shelley was dead
- Victoria visited Brett and felt drawn to him Banff, Canada; The
Pyramid Cabins Paige
and Jacob
look at one another in horror as the rental car that they picked up in Banff drives
towards them quickly! They are still tied to chairs in the garage of their rental
cabin as they came to Canada to elope. However, a deranged Cassie
soon arrived and once Jacob refused to reunite with her, she pulled a gun on them
and moved them to the garage, where she told them that she was going to kill them.
Now, she's driving towards them in the garage! Right before Cassie hits
them with the car, the breaks go on and the car stops. Paige and Jacob stop yelling
in relief that they are still alive. Cassie slowly opens the door to
the car and steps out. Her high heels clack on the cement floor as she moves around
to face her captors. "I thought you were going to kill us,"
Jacob looks up at her as sweat drips down his face. "You said you were going
too, so why did you stop?" Cassie chuckles back to him. "You
should be thanking me that I stopped driving the car," she replies to him
quickly. "I saved your life, momentarily." "If you're
not going to run us over," Paige asks her quickly. "What are you going
to do to us, Cassie? How are you going to kill us?" Cassie smirks
back to her. "The slut wants to know how she is going to die," Cassie
glares back to her as she pulls her gun and runs the barrel against Paige's cheek.
"If you hadn't noticed, the car is still running." "So,
you're going to hit us after all?" Jacob asks her. "I'm
leaving now," Cassie stands up straight and moves to the garage door. "I
have a plane to catch. And once this door closes, this room will slowly fill with
carbon monoxide, which will slowly kill you both. See, I had this idea,"
Cassie's eyes sparkle back to them. "Why kill you both quickly when it can
be a slow and painful death? That sounds like a much better time, don't you?"
"Cassie, don't do this!" Jacob yells back to her as Cassie moves
to be outside of the garage. Cassie looks at Jacob for a moment longer.
"I'm so sorry it has come to this," she tells him. "If only you
could have loved me again, Jacob. Things could have been different, so, so different."
The garage door slowly shuts leaving Paige and Jacob trapped inside the garage
while the car is still running. Paige looks at Jacob with desperation in her eyes.
"It's really going to happen," she says as a tear runs down her
face. "We are going to die in here!" The Lawson Estate;
Greg, Brooke, Brad, Abby & Cheresa's Home "I can't believe
that this is real," a stunned Abby
tells Cheresa,
who is sitting on the sofa with the rest of her family. Cheresa just finished
telling her parents and siblings that she found Shelley dead, and based on what
the police say, it was likely a planned attack. "Darling,"
Greg looks
over at his daughter. "How are you coping? I know firsthand how difficult
it can be to see a dead body; I still haven't gotten used to it despite being
a doctor." "I don't know," Chersea's hoarse voice replies
to him. "It is one thing for someone to die, it is quite another for someone
to be brutally murdered. Simona
Lopez said that there were five stab wounds. Would do that to Shelley?"
"What's creepier is the fact that the killer left rose petals on her
body," Brooke
chimes in. "I'm not sure what that is all about but that seems very odd to
me." "I once worked on a case," Brad
replies to everyone. "It was a multiple murder case and the killer left a
signature of sorts with each victim." Cheresa looks back at him
in surprise. "You mean, like a serial killer?" "I'm not
saying that's what is going on here but it might be something to consider,"
Brad says back to her. "That's for the police to uncover, though, Cheresa.
Right now, the most important thing is you. What can we do for you right now?"
"Brad is right," Brooke looks at her daughter. "Anything you
could possible need, we are here for you." "I think I just
need to be with people right now," Cheresa admits to them. "Let's all
stay together? Please don't leave me right now." "We aren't
going anywhere," Abby grabs her sister's hand. "We are right here for
you, Cheresa." The Black House; Adam, Helen & Dawn's Home
"Here's a cup of herbal tea," Helen
tells Dawn
as she moves into the living room of her house and passes Dawn a mug. "It's
hot, so be careful but it should hopefully calm you down." "I
think I'm still in shock that Shelley was found dead like that, by Cheresa, no
less," Adam
admits to his family. "She must be a wreck right now." "She
was when I left her," Dawn nods back to him before she takes a sip of her
tea. "I am struggling but I can't imagine how she is doing having seen Shelley's
body." "The interesting thing is how she was killed,"
Helen replies to her daughter. "Stabbed multiple times and rose petals covering
her body? That is very bizarre." "I just hope that Simona Lopez
is able to find the person or persons responsible for this," Dawn looks back
at her family. "Shelley didn't deserve to die and whoever did this, needs
to pay. I won't stop until that happens." The Pampa Grill
"How are things with you and Dominick?"
Victoria
asks her mother as they sit across from each other in the restaurant, each with
a glass of wine in front of them. Victoria knows that her mother and Dominick's
marriage has been on thin ice since Eva's
affair with Will
was revealed. She just hopes that her mother is able to save her marriage.
Eva takes a long sip of her wine before she looks back at her daughter. "About
the same," she admits to her. "I'm not sure if he will ever forgive
me for sleeping with Will, but I will do anything in my power to make him realize
what I did was a mistake." "You are a determined woman,"
Victoria purses her lips back together. "I am sure Dominick will come around
eventually, Mom." "I hope so," Eva replies to her quickly.
"Anyways, enough of that. What is going on with you? Please tell me you haven't
gone back to see Brett
Victors again?" Victoria shakes her head back to her mother.
"No, I haven't. But the DNA test did come back and confirmed that Brett is
telling the truth. Vinny
died in those explosions." "I can't say that I'm upset by that
news." "Neither am I," Victoria replies to her immediately.
"After everything Vinny put us all through, I hope he is rotting in hell.
Still, I feel compelled to reach out to Brett to see how he is doing."
"Why would you do that, Victoria?" "I don't know,"
she admits. "Part of me feels drawn to him. Don't worry, I will be careful.
I know how you feel about the Victors twins." "With good reason,
Victoria!" "I know, I know," Victoria chuckles back to
her. "Listen, I have more news. Something good, for a change."
Eva arches her eyebrow. "What is it?" "Twin Peaks General
Hospital offered me my old job back," Victoria reveals to her. "I had
to leave after my multiple personalities split again but since I've been healthy
for so long now, they want me to go back to work." "I think
that's a wonderful idea," Eva tells her. "It would be a good distraction
for you, don't you think?" Victoria uneasily nods back to her. "I'm
thinking about it, I'll say that much." Banff, Canada; The Airport
Shane,
Jeff and
Max depart
the private jet that just landed in Banff, Canada. As they walk to the tarmac,
they see their rental car waiting for them. They rush to the car and all hop into
the back seat. "Okay, we are here," Jeff tells the other two
men as the driver starts the car. "Now, how the hell are we going to find
Paige and Jacob? They could be anywhere." "I say we go to the
local police," Shane replies to them. "They might be able to help us
more if they know what's going on." "There's no time,"
Max shakes his head back to him. "I used an app to track Paige's phone. She
last used it about 30 minutes out of town." "Really? You can
do that?" Jeff asks him in surprise. "Let me see your phone for a moment."
Max shows Jeff the screen of his phone. "Paige was last logged on here,
it's attached to her Instagram. In her post, she tagged it as the Pyramid Cabins."
"That's not far," Shane notes back to them. "It's worth a
shot to head there and see if Paige and Jacob are there." "Hey
driver," Max calls out to the front seat. "We want to go to a place
called the Pyramid Cabins, do you know where that is?" "I do,"
he replies to the guys. "I'll take you there now." Shane looks
over at Jeff with an uneasy smile on his face. "I hope to God we aren't too
late," Shane tells Jeff, as Max gulps heavily. Meanwhile, inside
the airport, Cassie sits in a chair as she waits for her private plane to arrive.
She isn't used to flying private but since she stole money from Roboto and Robertson
Enterprises, she is able to afford anything now. She looks outside for a moment
as she feels water swell in her eyes. "I am sorry Jacob," she
whispers to herself. "But you left me with no choice. You chose that slut
over me, and as a result, you had to pay." *** Meanwhile,
in the garage, the car still runs and slowly the carbon monoxide fills the space.
Paige looks over at Jacob, who tries to wrestle himself free from the ropes, to
no avail. "It's no use," Paige tells him. "Cassie is going
to win, we are going to die." "No," Jacob continues to
try to escape. "This can't be how we go, Paige. We are too young, we have
too much to live for." "Jacob," Paige slowly tells him
as her eyes get heavier and heavier. "I love you." "Paige!"
Jacob yells as he sees Paige fall unconscious. "Please, Paige, stay with
me, don't leave me! Please don't die!" Next on One Day at a Time
