on One Day at a Time - Bryce told Abby that she would need to have an
emergency c-section to deliver her baby. Meanwhile, another young woman, Chantel,
gave birth to a stillborn baby but Bryce told her that her baby was alive and
well - Donovan and Lukas learned the mother of the baby they were going to
adopt, Chantel, was in labour - Andy called the phone number he got from Melissa
for the Reese lookalike but the phone had been disconnected - Max was devastated
at Cassie's death. Adam, meanwhile, had a memory of Max causing his accident at
the Robertson Enterprises boutique from a years ago - Vinny, still posing
as Brett, kissed Daisy, which Tyler saw Twin Peaks General Hospital
Abby lays unconscious in the operating room as Bryce and two nurses look
at her body, which is surrounded by blue medical fabric around her stomach. Bryce
looks over at one of the nurses as she passes him a scalpel and he prepares to
open Abby's stomach. After Abby wasn't dilating quickly enough after she went
into labour, he suggested that they do an emergency c-section; of course, this
is also going to help him with his plan that Vinny is blackmailing him into doing.
He can't help but recall how another young woman, Chantel, also gave birth, but
her child was stillborn. "Dr. Barty?" the nurse asks him, causing
Bryce to snap back into reality. "Are you okay?" "I'm
fine," Bryce says back to her. "I'm going to cut her open and remove
the baby. As soon as the baby is out, I'll take it over to the incubator and you
can stitch up Abby, okay?" "Sounds good, we've done this many
times," the nurse says back to him. "You're right, we have,"
Bryce moves the scalpel closer to Abby's stomach. "Let's deliver this baby."
***
"Damn it the waiting is killing me," Andrew
sighs heavily to Greg and Brooke as he paces around the waiting room of the hospital.
They were all told that Abby was going in for an emergency c-section, which has
left Andrew feeling apprehensive. He knows that these procedures are common; however,
he can't help but think something is off. He just has this uneasy feeling in the
pit of his stomach that he can't explain. "You have to relax,"
Brooke moves up to him. "Women have c-sections all the time. This isn't uncommon
at all." "Brooke is right," Greg nods to her. "Abby
is in good hands; Dr. Barty is more than capable of this procedure."
"I hope you're right," Andrew replies to them. "I just have
a bad feeling about this." *** In the operating room, Bryce
slowly lifts Abby's baby up and quickly moves over to the incubator. "Nurse,
please start stitching up Abby," Bryce says as he lays the baby down and
starts cleaning him off. The baby squirms a little as Bryce wipes him clean.
"How is it going?" he asks the nurse, still cleaning the very alive
and very healthy baby. "Very well, couple more minutes and she will
be done." Bryce moves to a side door and looks back to ensure the
nurse isn't watching him. He opens the door quickly and sees another incubator.
He lifts the sheet and sees Chantel's stillborn child. He lays Abby's child next
to it before he picks up the deceased infant. He then moves back into the OR and
closes the door. "Nurse!" Bryce yells quickly. "I need
help, the baby, he's not breathing!" "What?"
she calls out in horror as she rushes over to Bryce, who is doing CPR on the baby.
"There's no use," Bryce looks at her with sadness in her eyes.
"He's gone." The Pampa Grill
Daisy looks back
at Vinny, whom she still thinks is Brett, and licks her lips back to him. He just
kissed her, again, and she isn't sure how she is feeling about it. She and Brett
went through something horrific together and now they are bonded; she can't help
but think about their night in the cage where they made love. It only happened
once, but it is clearly still on Brett's mind, and if she's honest with herself,
she hasn't been able to stop thinking about it either. "Brett,"
she whispers back to him as she takes a sip of her wine. "I told you the
other day that I can't cheat on Tyler. You can't kiss me anymore."
Vinny smirks back to her, recalling the conversation. "I remember,"
he nods back to her. "I guess I was just thinking about that night together
"
"I know you were," Daisy admits to him. "I have thought of
it too. But, that was in a different time and place. I'm with Tyler again."
"But are you happy?" Daisy looks back at him in surprise.
"Because where I'm sitting, you're not happy with Tyler," Vinny tells
her. "You went back to him because that is what you think of as comfortable.
That is what you think of as normal because that's what was happening before we
were locked up together. But what we shared changed us Daisy, you can't deny that."
"I can't," Daisy says back to him. "I'm just confused."
"I won't kiss you again until you have figured this out," Vinny
looks over at her. "But, it is something you have to figure out, Daisy. There
is something clearly between us, but you have to realize that for yourself."
The Calimo Mansion
"I just got home from Banff, Canada,"
Natasha admits to Tyler as they move into the living room of the lavish Calimo
mansion. She is still can't believe how Cassie tried to kill Paige and Jacob in
Canada; she is just glad that they are both safe and sound. And, with Cassie dead,
they don't have to worry about her trying to hurt anyone else. "I'm surprised
to see you here." Tyler looks at Natasha as she turns around to
face him and smiles back to her. He was at the Pampa Grill earlier when he saw
Brett and Daisy share a kiss; he hasn't been able to get the image out of his
head but he found himself arriving at Natasha's doorstep. "Yea,
sorry I didn't call or anything. I guess it's a good thing that you got home when
you did." "Can I get you a drink?" she asks him as she
moves to the bar. "I don't have much time, I'm throwing a small welcome home
party for Jacob and Paige." "Sure," Tyler replies to her.
"I'm really glad that you're here. I've missed you, Nat." Natasha
purses her lips together as she passes a scotch. "Tyler, you are with Daisy
now, remember?" "I don't care," Tyler shakes his head
back to her. "I can't stop thinking about you." Natasha arches
her eyebrow back to him before she takes a sip of her drink. "So, what does
that mean?" "I don't know," Tyler moves closer to her.
"But, I'm here now and I want you so badly, Nat." Natasha looks
back at him before he rushes up to her and kisses her on the lips. She wraps her
arms around him as he pushes her up against the wall. "Make love to me, Tyler,"
Natasha groans out loud. "I
thought you were throwing a party?" he says as he kisses his neck. "I
have time for you," she wraps her legs around his waist and kisses him again.
"Please give it to me, Tyler." The Tower's; Floor One; Andy
& Nicholas' Condo
"You seemed pretty quiet on the drive home,"
Nicholas notes to Andy as the move inside the condo. Nicholas and Andy were having
a late dinner at the Pampa Grill when they attempted to dial the phone number
that Melissa gave Andy for the contact for the man who is the Reese lookalike.
When Andy called, however, the number had been disconnected. "Yea,
sorry," Andy looks over at his boyfriend. "I guess I am just trying
to think of a way that I could get in touch with the guy who looks like my dead
husband since that number Melissa gave me was disconnected." "Do
you want me to talk to Melissa?" Nicholas asks him back. "Maybe she
has a different number, or an email, or a social media account
?"
Andy shrugs his shoulders. "I mean, maybe. I'm not sure that she will
give us any other information. And, it might just lead to another dead end."
"What do you want to do, Andy? You know that I will support anything
you decide," Nicholas tells Andy, even though he secretly wishes that Andy
would drop this. Nicholas has a bad feeling that finding this Reese lookalike
will only be inviting this nightmare that Melissa created back into their lives
and he wants nothing more than to move on. "I wish I knew what I
was going to do," Andy admits back to him. "All I know is that I can't
give up on this. I have to find him, Nicholas. I have to know why he looks like
Reese." One Day House
Cory finishes putting some
files away in his office before he lets out a loud sigh. He has been working a
lot of over time lately because Nicholas has taken some time off; it didn't help
that he was on Banff with Leah earlier. Once they got home from Canada, he knew
that he had to come do some work otherwise he would be piled up the following
day. "Okay," he whispers to himself. "I think I'm done
for the day. I can head home and have a drink before we head to Paige and Jacob's
welcome home party," he tells himself as he moves to his door. He closes
his office door and grabs his jacket. As he is putting on his coat, he can't help
but see a many move into the kitchen of the One Day House, which is not uncommon
as people staying there have free range of the house. He arches his eyebrow
when the younger man comes back out and Cory gets a good look of him. "Night,"
the man says to Cory, who waves back to him. "That's the kid who
looks like Reese Wilkins," Cory whispers to himself. "I wonder what
his story is? Why does he look like Reese?" The Cascade Apartments;
Apartment 607; Cassie's Apartment
"I'm really sorry kiddo,"
Adam hugs Max as they stand in the apartment that Cassie was living. Max just
got home from Banff and came right to his mother's place; he still can't believe
that Cassie is dead. It feels far too surreal for him. He is glad that Adam is
there for him though, he didn't want to be alone. "I know this is probably
tough on you." Max looks back at him with red eyes as they exit
their embrace. "You have no idea," he replies to him with a hoarse voice.
"The worst part is no one else really cares that Mom is gone, you know? She
wasn't perfect but some people are practically laughing on her grave."
"What other people think isn't important," Adam tells him. "What
you felt for her is what matters and the memories you have of her."
"It's just hard, you know?" "I get it, I really do,"
Adam puts his hand on his back. "Are you sure staying here is the best thing
for you? Maybe you need a break from all of this?" "Nah,"
Max shakes his head back as he blows his nose into a tissue. "I want to feel
close to her right now. We can talk about anything else though. That might help?"
"Okay," Adam sits next to him on the sofa. "I did want to
ask you something." "Sure," Max looks back at him. "What's
up?" "I've been having these flashes," Adam explains to
his son. "Almost like memories, I guess. There's one where I'm talking to
a woman about something that you did and I wanted you to pay. Do you have any
idea what that is?" Max gulps heavily back to him as he thinks about
how he rigged the photoshoot a few years earlier so that some scaffolding would
collapse on top of Adam, which it did and he was pretty seriously injured.
"That was a long time ago," Max tells him. "I was in love,
or so I thought, with a woman and I wanted her to notice me and not you, so I
rigged some scaffolding to fall on you. It was stupid and dumb. But like I said,
it was a long time ago." Adam runs his hand through his hair as
he sighs heavily. "I
I am having a hard time remembering all of this?"
Before Max can reply, Adam suddenly leans back into the sofa and starts breathing
heavily as the realization that he hasn't had memories in a long time. "Dad?
What's wrong? Dad?" Max rushes to his side as Adam starts taking deep breathes.
The realization that Max caused him harm was too much for him to handle and he
started to hyperventilate. "I
can't
breathe," a hyperventilating
Adam replies to him quickly, as Max wonders what he has done to his father. "I
need
air
." Twin Peaks General Hospital
"Okay,"
Kelli tells Chantel, who is laying in her hospital bed and is about to sign some
formal adoption papers. "You need to sign here and here." Chantel
looks at the documents and then back at Kelli. "And, you're sure that once
I sign these papers, my son will go to the adopted parents, no questions asked?" "That's
right," Kelli nods back to her. "They are in the next room waiting to
get the baby, which they will once you sign the papers. You're not having second
guesses are you?" Chantel
gets a single tear in her eye as she shakes her head no. "I know I'm giving
my son a better life and that's all that matters," she says before she signs
the document. "Here you go, all signed." "You're
doing a very brave thing Chantel, never forget that," Kelli smiles back to
her. *** In
the next room, Donovan paces back and forth as he waits for Kelli to arrive. He
can't stop thinking that something might not go as planned since no paper work
was signed until after the baby was born. He just hopes that the birth woman hasn't
changed her mind about the adoption. "Okay,
please come sit with me," Lukas chuckles to his husband. "Kelli will
be here any time." "I
know I'm overreacting," Donovan looks back at him. "My heart is just
racing so fast." Lukas
stands up and looks into Donovan's eyes. "Do you trust me?" he asks
as Donovan nods yes to him. "Then believe me, we are getting our baby today." "Sorry
to interrupt," Kelli says as she opens the door and moves inside the room.
"I have the paper work here, all signed by the birth mother." "Really?
So, all we have to do is sign and we have our child?" Donovan gasps back
to her as Lukas grabs his hand. "That's
right," Kelli smiles. "Look, each of you sign here and here." The
men take turns signing the adoption papers and then pass it back to Kelli.
Just then a nurse opens the door and brings a baby into the room. "Sorry
about the wait," she purses her lips together. "This little guy ended
up in the wrong area of the nursery, but he is fine now." The nurse lifts
the baby out of the small basinet. "Here you go, your son."
She puts the baby into Donovan's arms, who looks at the baby and then over at
Lukas. "We have a son," Donovan smiles to his husband. "Hey buddy,
we are your Dad's. Welcome to the world." "He's so beautiful,"
Lukas tells Donovan. "We have a baby, Donovan. We really have a baby."
***
"Doctor, how is she?" Greg stands up in the
waiting room as Bryce moves inside. Brooke and Andrew appear next to Greg, as
they all want answers about Abby and the baby. "She's awake now,"
Bryce quickly tells them. "Look, I'd like you three to follow me. We can
discuss everything with Abby." Andrew looks back in confusion. He
can tell something is wrong but isn't sure what it could be. "What's wrong?
What aren't you telling us?" "I'll tell everyone in the room
with Abby. It's easier to only have to say this once," Bryce admits to the
family, as they all start walking towards Abby's room. As they walk, Brooke grabs
Greg's hand as they look at one another with worry. They enter Abby's
room, who slowly sits up in the bed. "Hi guys," Abby manages to say.
"Sorry to scare you all, I guess a natural birth wasn't in the game plan."
"How are you feeling?" Brooke rushes over to Abby. "Are you
okay?" "It's pretty sore," Abby admits to her. "But
worth it if my baby is here. Where is my baby?" They all look around
the room and then land their eyes on Bryce. "There's no easy way to say this,"
Bryce begins to say as he moves closer to the bed. "But the baby, he didn't
make it. The umbilical cord had wrapped around his neck and he suffocated."
"What?" Brooke looks back at him in shock as Abby gets tears in
her eyes. "How is this possible? What happened?" "I'm
so sorry," Bryce looks at Abby, who covers her mouth in shock. "Your
son is dead." "Oh Goddddddd," Abby groans as she starts
to cry and Brooke wraps her arms around her daughter, while Greg pulls Andrew
into a hug, tears filling his eyes as well as the news from Bryce is too much
for anyone to handle. "Noooooo!" Next on One Day at a Time
