Theme song: "Run, Run, Rudolph" Kelly Clarkson
Previously
on One Day at a Time - Victoria collapsed after having another headache
which was triggered by the device Vinny put on her phone - Lukas told Donovan
he didn't want Abby and Andrew seeing baby Olly. Abby, meanwhile, told her parents
she wants to see the baby again as she felt a connection to him - Max was
stunned to see Cassie alive in Banff - Cheresa and Trenyce visited Chris in
jail. Later, Trenyce ended up sleeping with Brad again - Robin and Shane learned
that Dominique would have to stay in the hospital as her lungs were still developing
- Natasha warned Robbie not to propose to Kim The Lawson Estate; Greg,
Brooke, Brad, Abby & Cheresa's Home "It certainly doesn't
feel the same not having Cheresa here," Brad tells his family as they sit
around the dinner table as their Christmas feast is about to begin. For the first
time, Cheresa is not spending Christmas with the Lawson's as she is at Trenyce's
house. While the day is still feeling rather festive, there is a definite void
in the house today. Still, with Christmas music playing and the tree shining brightly
with its lights, the Lawson house is looking like Christmas. "She
said she would call us after dinner," Brooke picks up her glass of red wine
while Brad puts some more mashed potatoes on his plate. "Darling, would you
like the gravy?" "Yes, please," Brad replies to her quickly.
"I think we need to focus on everyone that is here today," Greg
tells his family before he takes a bit of his turkey. "We are together, happy
and healthy; that's all we can really ask for, right?" Abby sighs
a little back to her family as she pokes at her green beans. She usually loves
Christmas, but today she is not feeling very festive. In fact, she thinks it might
be the worst Christmas she has ever experienced. And, it all comes down to the
fact that Sonny isn't there to celebrate his first Christmas with her and the
family. "Abby, are you okay sweetheart?" Brooke asks her daughter,
noticing that she isn't eating very much. Brooke then looks over at Greg, knowing
that their daughter is still struggling with the loss of her son. "I'm
fine," she faintly replies. "It's okay to say that you're not
okay if you're truly not," Greg tells his daughter. "We know that today
would have been Sonny's first Christmas." "Yea," Abby
gets water in her eyes. "I know he would have been too young to really understand
what was happening, but it would have been nice to see him look at the lights
on the tree and play with a ribbon or something." "It's natural
that you'd think all of those things," Brooke tells her daughter. "You
wouldn't be the loving, caring person that you are if you didn't think about that
today." "It's just hard to feel happy and festive when I am
so sad," Abby lets a tear fall down her cheek. "Sorry, I didn't mean
to cry at Christmas dinner." She stands up and moves into the living
room. Greg stands up and goes after her, while Brooke and Brad continue to enjoy
their feast. "Do you think we should go after her too?" Brad
asks his mother. "No," Brooke replies to him. "Let Greg
try to talk to her. I don't want to crowd her. Besides, I want to know everything
that is happening between you and Trenyce Davenport." Brad
finishes chewing his turkey and looks back at her in surprise. He wonders if,
somehow, she knows that he and Trenyce slept together again recently. "What
do you mean? I told you, Trenyce and I are just friends. She doesn't want me in
any other way." "She'll
come around, I know she will." In the living room, Abby slowly moves
up to the large Christmas tree and touches one of the ordainments. Greg comes
up behind her and puts his hands on his daughter's shoulders. "Hey,
you know its okay to feel this way, right?" Abby nods back to him
as another tear falls down her cheek. "I'm sorry I ruined Christmas, Dad."
"You did no such thing," Greg looks in her in the eyes as she turns
around. "When you are sad, we are all sad because that's how this family
works, Abby. We know what you're going through and we are just trying to help
you in any way possible." "I know," she tries to smile
back to him. "I'm trying, I really am." Greg pulls her into
a hug. "You're surviving Abby, and that's all we can ask of you right now."
"Merry Christmas Daddy," she says as he holds her by the Christmas.
"Merry Christmas, Abby." The Richardson Estate; Meggan,
Lukas & Donovan's Home "It certainly feels like we are going
to have a house full for the first time in a long time," Meggan tells Lukas
as she pours herself some sparkling water. They have asked Victoria, Eva and Jeff
all to come for Christmas dinner since Olly is still young to travel. Of course,
Logan is still there, currently running around the house with his new fire truck
that Santa brought him. "It will be nice to have a full house again
huh," Lukas replies to her quickly. "It doesn't seem like we've had
a full house since Dad was still alive." Meggan looks back at him
as she thinks about times with Frederick. "It's hard to believe he's been
gone for so many years. I know he did some pretty horrible things, but I still
miss him." "I know, me too," Lukas admits to her. "Especially
since we have Olly. It's tough knowing he will never get to meet his grandfather."
Before Meggan can reply, Eva comes rushing into the kitchen looking frantic.
"I'm going to need a bottle for Olly," she says. "Little guy is
hungrier than I thought!" "I'll grab you one," Lukas smiles
to her. "Looks like my son wanted his Christmas dinner early today."
"I can't believe how big he's getting already," Eva replies to
him. "I swear he's 10 pounds heavily than yesterday." "The
way he's eating, I wouldn't be surprised," Lukas quips back to her as he
passes her a bottle. "We'll be in the living room soon." "Sounds
good, let me know if I can help," Eva tells him. "You're helping
by feeding the baby and watching Logan," Meggan says back to her.
Eva moves back into the living room and sees Donovan holding baby Olly, who is
fussing as he is waiting for his bottle. She passes her son the bottle and Donovan
quickly gives it to his son, which immediately calms him down enough to hear the
Christmas music playing in the background. "You're so good with
him," Eva observes to her son. "A natural father." Donovan
chuckles back to him. "He makes it easy," he admits to his mom. "I
have never been so in love with another human being before. Hey, when did you
say Victoria was coming by?" Eva uneasily looks at her watch and
realizes that her daughter is running late again. She can't help but remember
when Donovan and Lukas had a family breakfast to introduce everyone to baby Olly
that Victoria was also late too. When she asked her daughter about it, Victoria
claimed she was fine but admitted that she was getting headaches on a regular
basis and she had some time lapses. Eva is trying not to worry about Victoria
but with her being late again, she is starting to truly get worried.
"She should have been here by now," Eva admits to Donovan. "Maybe
I will give her a call?" "I think dinner will be ready in about
45 minutes," Donovan tells her as Eva pulls out her cell phone. "If
she can make it by then, that would be great." Eva dials Victoria's
number and sighs when it goes to voicemail. "It's me Victoria, where are
you? It's Christmas, you should be with your family today! Call me, or hopefully,
see you soon." "Voicemail?" Donovan asks her mother, who
nods back to him. "Maybe that means she's on her way?" "I
sure hope so," Eva purses her lips back to him. Meanwhile, in Victoria's
office at the hospital, she continues lay unconscious on the floor as the sharp
ringing from the device on her phone fills the room. As she locked her office
door, no one is aware that she is still in there missing Christmas dinner with
her family. The Davenport House; Daisy & Trenyce's Home
"I'm so glad that you were able to move back in here," Trenyce
hugs Daisy before passing her a glass of white wine. She was thrilled when her
Aunt asked her if she could move back into the house after she and Tyler went
their separate ways. Trenyce, of course, jumped at the chance to her Daisy live
with her again; it has felt like the old days when they lived together when Trenyce
first came to Twin Peaks. "I'm glad you took me back," Daisy
chuckles back to her before she takes a sip of her wine. "And, now Cheresa
is here too," Daisy looks over at the younger woman. "Three generations
of Davenport women, how amazing is this? And on Christmas day of all days!"
Cheresa smiles back to her mother and great Aunt as she looks over at Trenyce's
Christmas tree. "I really appreciate you guys having me over today,"
Cheresa admits to them. "I wasn't sure how Brooke and Greg would feel about
it, but they were supportive." "Of course we want you here,"
Trenyce tells her daughter. "You and I have missed so many Christmas', this
is the best gift of all that you are here today. I also invited Andrew and Albertinah,
they should be here anytime." "I do have to call my other family
after dinner, I promised them." "That seems like it can be
arranged," Daisy says back to her. "So, have you been to see Chris?
I have been meaning to go but it has been rather busy for me lately."
"Trenyce and I just went the other day," Cheresa nods back to her.
"I'm glad he is in such good spirits." "He took ownership
of his mistake," Trenyce looks over at Daisy. "I think that's why he's
handling this so well." "18 months is still a long time,"
Daisy looks back at her. "Are you sure you can wait that long to become Mrs.
Chris Michaels?" Trenyce feels her face flush as she recalls how
Brad came over to help her with a leaking sink and they ended up in bed together.
She hates that she slept with him while Chris is away but she can't change that
it happened; she just has to ensure that it doesn't happen again. "I
don't have much choice," Trenyce takes a sip of her wine. "I want to
marry him so I will wait for him to get out and we will be together."
"That's all I really want," Cheresa admits to her mom. "A
chance for my biological parents to be together." Trenyce uneasily
looks back to her, knowing that no one can ever know that she and Brad slept together
again. "After everything we've been through, that's all I want too."
Twin Peaks General Hospital "You should be back in your
room to get some rest," Shane tells Robin as she stands outside the ICU looking
at baby Dominique, who is still laying in her incubator. Shane knows that Robin
has been outside the ICU for hours; he is concerned that she is not going to get
enough rest and will thus not recover from the labor that she just went through.
"I don't want to leave her," Robin turns and looks at him. "It
is Christmas, Shane, she shouldn't be alone." "I know,"
Shane puts his hand on her back. "I just want to make sure you're getting
some rest too. You won't be any good to Domi if you're not well."
Robin looks back at him. "Thanks for staying here," she tells him. "You
have a family too, do you want to go see them?" "I spoke to
Jacob earlier," Shane reveals to her. "He's fine with me staying here
to be with Domi and you. I, also, don't want to leave her alone."
Robin pulls him into a hug and holds him tight. "Our little girls first Christmas
is in the hospital," she bites her lip as she gets water in her eyes. "I
hate that she's in there fighting for her life, Shane." "Hey,"
Shane looks back at her as they exit their embrace. "Domi will be fine. This
is her first Christmas in the hospital but it will be her last. I really believe
that. Now, how about I take you back to your room and we can rest for a bit together?"
"Sure," Robin slowly nods back to him as they start walking towards
her room. "Shane?" "Yea?" "Merry Christmas,"
Robin looks at him. "Merry Christmas, Robin." The
Calimo Mansion
"Who wants another eggnog?" Jacob asks his
family as he stands at the bar in the Calimo mansion as Christmas music is playing
in the background. Jacob looks over and sees Sophie rushing up to him with her
empty cup in her hand. "I do! I do!" Sophie explains to him
as she passes him the mug. "Can I have the grown up kind now?"
Jacob chuckles back to her. "Don't think so kiddo," he says as he pours
some eggnog into her cup. "You're no fun!" Sophie takes the
cup back before she rushes off to play with her new Barbie's. "I
can't believe how fast she's growing up," Natasha comes up to Jacob with
a glass of white wine in her hand. "Before I know it both of my babies will
be grown adults." Jacob blushes back to her. "Merry Christmas,
Mom." "Merry Christmas baby," Natasha pulls him into a
hug. "It is days like today that I miss your grandfather and grandmother
the most." "I echo those statements," Robbie looks over
at Natasha before he looks at a family picture on the fireplace mantel of himself,
Natasha, Bob and Sofia from many years ago. "Mom and Dad loved Christmas;
I always think of them today." "Bob certainly did have a way
of making Christmas special for everyone," Kim agrees as she moves over to
the picture and looks at her deceased husband. "I love you, Bob," she
whispers to herself. "Please tell me you're not still thinking of
asking that woman to be your wife," Natasha whispers to Robbie as she pulls
him aside. "The last thing this family needs is for Kim to become a member
of us, again." "Calm down," Robbie takes a sip of his
eggnog. "It's Christmas, Nat, can't we just try to get along?"
"I will not rest until I know that the idea of marrying her is out of your
head." "Well," Robbie looks back at her. "That's
not going to happen anytime soon." Natasha watches as Robbie moves
past her and walks up to Kim. "I have a present for you," Robbie whispers
in her ear. Kim turns with a smile on her face. "You do, huh?"
"Yup, here," Robbie gives her a small present that is wrapped in
red wrapping paper. "Open it." Kim sets her eggnog down and
looks back at Robbie before she starts to open the present. She gasps when she
sees a large diamond ring in the small black box. "Robbie, wow, this is beautiful,"
Kim beams at the sight of it. "What is going on over there?"
Jacob asks his mother, who is rolling her eyes. "You don't want
to know," Natasha quips back to him. "Not nearly as beautiful
as you," Robbie tells Kim. "I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed getting
to know you again these last few months. I don't want that to end."
"It doesn't have to end, Robbie." "Marry me Kim?"
Robbie stuns her, Jacob and Natasha, who all gasp out loud in surprise by his
question. "Say you'll be my wife." Kim shakes her head in absolute
shock before she looks over at Jacob and Natasha, who is fuming. "Yes, I'll
marry you," Kim says as she slides the ring on her finger before she leans
up and kisses Robbie. "She said yes!" Robbie laughs as he lifts
her up and twirls her around. "This is the best Christmas ever!"
"Why is Uncle Robbie asking Grandpa Bob's wife to marry him?" Sophie
asks Natasha as she tugs on her mother's dress. "Good question sweetheart,"
Natasha tries to stay polite with her child. "Very good question."
The Banff Springs Fairmont Hotel; Banff, Canada
"I am
still in shock that you survived the plane crash, Mom," Max tells Cassie
as they sit together in the lobby of the lavish hotel, each with an eggnog in
their hand. Next to them is a large Christmas tree and a fireplace; behind Cassie,
the large window is exposing the view of the Rocky Mountains. Max is still reeling
from the fact that Cassie turned up alive in Banff after she was presumed dead
in a plane crash just a few weeks ago. Max only returned to Banff because Cassie
advised him to come here in a personal letter that was addressed to him as a part
of Cassie's will. "You should know me sweetie," Cassie purses
her lips together. "I always have another trick up my sleeve. Considering
everything that I did in Twin Peaks before I came here, I knew that I had to lay
low for a while." "You mean the money you stole from Robertson
Enterprises and Roboto?" he asks her. "Keep your voice down,"
she hisses back to him. "But yes, if I go back to the US, I will be arrested."
"What about me? I am going to inherit all that money since you 'died'?
Won't I get in trouble for having those stolen funds?" "There's
no way they can prove that the money you are getting is stolen," Cassie informs
him. "I made sure of that. I have bank statements confirming that the money
you are inheriting was in those accounts for years." "You really
have thought of everything," Max smirks back to her. "I can't thank
you enough for that money." "I will do anything for you,"
Cassie tells him. "You have to know that Max. But in turn, I need something
from you." Max arches his eyebrow. "What do you need?"
"I need you to carry out my plan for Paige and Jacob," Cassie reveals
to him. "They can't get married, under no circumstances." "I'd
love to try to split them up," Max nods back to her. "I still want Paige
for myself." "While I am laying low," Cassie looks back
at him. "You have to do anything you can to break them up. And then once
that happens, I will come back into town and Jacob and I will reunite. And you
and Paige can be together." "I love that idea," Max tells
her. "I will do what I can." "I believe in you,"
Cassie grabs his hand. "Merry Christmas Max." "Merry Christmas,
Mom." Next on One Day at a Time - Andy and Nicholas get
