Lukas worried about Donovan when he, and Olly, were missing. He called Sergio to help him find his husband as he was worried that if Abby discovered that Donovan and Olly were missing, it would escalate. Sergio and Lukas called Victoria to help track down Abby. Abby and Andrew, meanwhile, went to the mansion in hopes of seeing Olly, but they covered with a story about where Donovan and Olly were. Abby, however, thought something was odd and went back to the mansion; she overheard Lukas tell Victoria that Donovan was missing. Abby went to Simona and asked her to press kidnapping charges. When Abby and Simona returned to the mansion, Donovan was back (Victoria realized where Donovan was and convinced her brother to come home). Fed-up with the games, Abby hired Ethan and filed for custody of her son! Ethan pressed her to stay calm as she was pregnant with their child. Donovan and Lukas, meanwhile worried about lawsuit and they hired Josh to represent them. Desperate to keep their son, Donovan went to the hospital and stole Abby's medical file. He and Lukas reviewed it and they realized that she had a DNA test completed years earlier, which made them wonder if Andrew was really the father. Abby, meanwhile, got support from Cheresa, Andrew, and Max as the trial was about to start. Donovan and Sergio grew closer as did Lukas and Clayton. During the trial, Abby took the stand and Josh grilled her about the DNA test. Abby tearfully admitted that she lied about Andrew being Olly's father Max was! The outburst caused Abby to go into labour; at the hospital, she had an emergency c-section but gave birth to a baby girl, whom she and Ethan named Georgina. Donovan and Lukas, meanwhile, were thrilled with the outburst and had sex with one another! In the wake, they agreed that they just got wrapped up in the moment, but they agreed not to tell Sergio or Clayton. Max and Andrew lashed out at Abby for her lies and she tried to apologize. With Cassie's support, Max went to the Judge and stunned everyone by revealing that he, too, wanted custody of his son! When court started again, the Judge granted Max's wish. Donovan, Lukas, and Max all took the stand, and their sorted histories were exposed. In the end, however, Max was awarded custody of Olly! Abby, Donovan, and Lukas were devastated. Donovan and Lukas agreed to run away with Olly in hopes of keeping their son, but Max arrived to get his son. Abby, meanwhile, also thought about kidnapping Olly and running away, despite Ethan's objections. She arrived at the mansion as well, just as Donovan and Lukas were trying to keep Max at arm's length. Max, however, revealed that he had Sergio there, and Sergio helped Max take Olly out of Lukas and Donovan's home. Donovan was gutted and blamed Lukas and told him he wanted a divorce. Lukas agreed, and soon after, left town with Clayton, but not before Sergio found out at Lukas and Donovan sleeping together during the trial. Sergio told Donovan he needed time and space from him afterwards. Max, meanwhile, struggled with Olly, who was confused by not living with Lukas and Donovan. Abby spent a lot of time with Max and Olly, and they were together when they told the boy that they were his biological parents. Ethan grew upset with how much time Abby was spending there and told her that he, and Georgina, were feeling like second fiddles. Ethan moved out, but moved back after Abby pleaded with him that she didn't want to choose between her children. They rang in the New Year together, while Max looked at Abby.

Madeline, then, shocked Robbie by returning to town with a baby! She revealed that she left town because she was pregnant with his child but she didn't want to hurt Kim by the news. He told Natasha, who was upset, but she suggested that this could be their chance to have a large wedding, which he agreed too. While planning the wedding, Natasha asked Shane if he wanted any of his family there; he said no. Shortly after, Sophie accidently found Shane's yearbook. Natasha looked at it and thought it was odd that Shane's name was listed as "Derek Rainer"; he covered by saying that it was a typo that was missed before publication. Natasha was concerned when Shane snapped at Sophie for snooping through his belongings. Thinking there was more to the story, Natasha secretly went to Detroit and visited Shane's high school, where she saw him, again, referred to as Derek. She ended up getting the Rainer family home address and went there, where she met Louie, who claimed that Shane's real name is Derek, and that he killed his mother! Natasha asked Louie now he knew this and he revealed that he is Derek's father. Simona arrested Shane and he spent the night in jail; he was released when the original police report matched Shane's story: the impact of the moose killed his mother. Natasha and Shane told Louie to leave town, so he did. Shane, meanwhile, lashed out at Natasha for bringing his father back into his life. He moved out of the mansion, which devastated Natasha. Once they got to the cabin, however, a snowstorm hit, so Meggan's text to Logan didn't go through. Sophie, however, was upset with how much drinking Meggan was doing. Meggan threatened the younger girl when she saw Sophie about to dump some wine down the drain. Upset with Meggan, Sophie rushed out into the storm. She got lost and tripped; when she fell, she hit her head on a rock and was unconscious. Meggan was worried about how long Sophie was out in the snow and went to find her. When she found the girl, she took her jacket off to cover Sophie. Logan, meanwhile, wondered if Sophie was right about his drinking. He, then, got the message from Meggan and rushed to the cabin. Once there, he realized the women were missing. He used a snowmobile and saved them both. At the hospital, Meggan was given a clean bill of health, while Sophie was dealing with hypothermia. She lost the baby, however. Logan blamed his mother for the death of his unborn child, while Max was gutted to realize that he wasn't the father of the baby. Simona asked Sophie if Meggan caused the accident, because if she had, she could press charges. Sophie told Meggan to get help with her drinking, or she would go to jail, so Meggan agreed to go to rehab. Sophie saw Natasha and Max having sex and was cold to her mother as she mourned her child. Logan, however, continued to drink as he mourned the child.
