The Pink Flamingo at the River
Rock Casino
The restaurant in the casino has been transformed into
a New Year's Eve party. Antonio thought that having a party at the restaurant
would be a great way to have additional revenue for the casino as he believes
the partygoers will also play some of the various games within the casino.
"I brought you a glass of champagne," Adam smiles as he moves up
to Helen, who is wearing a long white dress. "And, for the record, you look
beautiful tonight." Helen takes a sip of the champagne before she
looks back at her ex-husband. "You are sweet," she tells him. "You
look very dashing in your tuxedo as well." "It feels like we
have a lot to celebrate this year, doesn't it?" he asks her with a sly grin
on his face. "We have to hell and back this year but have come out the other
side." "That's putting it mildly," Helen replies to him.
"I am most grateful that Dawn is okay; I never want to see my baby in the
hospital again." "Dale's plan to get revenge failed, that's
all that matters." "He failed because of you, Adam," Helen
looks into his eyes. "You were the one that knew something was off with Dale.
I don't want to think about what could have happened if you hadn't been suspicious."
Adam grabs Helen's hand and squeezes it. "No matter what, I will be in
your corner, Helen. You and Dawn, you mean everything to me." "Thank
you." "Of course," he licks his lips. "This entire
situation has made me realize something." "What's that?"
she asks him before she takes another sip of her champagne. "That
I never stopped loving you," Adam admits to her as they lock eyes. "I
think you're my soulmate, Helen." Helen feels her cheeks flush. For
years, she had been wanting to hear that from Adam, including the entire time
that he was with Robin. To hear him finally admit that he still loves her is overwhelming.
"I
I don't know what to say," she admits to him. "You
don't have to say anything," he responds to her. "I'll just show you,"
he continues as he leans in and kisses her on her lips. Helen responds to the
kiss and they part with a smile on face. "Happy New Year, Adam."
"Happy New Year, Helen." ***
"I am glad
that you two left the hospital to celebrate New Year's," Nicholas says to
Andy and Madeline as the three of stand together in the restaurant. Nicholas and
Madeline are drinking champagne while Andy nurses a sparking cider. Nicholas knows
that Madeline and Andy have been spending a lot of time at the hospital because
of Kim's shooting, so he is glad that they are out with him tonight. "Kim
is, actually, doing much better," Andy reports to them as he looks over at
Madeline. "I don't know what happened over the Christmas holidays, but she
has seemingly taken a turn for the better." "Robbie was with
her on Christmas Day," Madeline reveals to them. "I don't know what
happened between the two of them, but it must have left an impact on her because
since then, she has been doing better." "How do you feel about
that?" Nicholas asks her quickly. "I am relieved," Madeline
replies to him. "I never wanted Kim to be hurt or to, God forbid, die, so
this is a good thing. I just don't know what this means for my marriage to Robbie."
"There is time to figure that all out," Andy says back to her. "What
we might not have time for, is Clayton and his lawsuit." "I
confronted him about that," Madeline reveals to them. "He claims that
he is my brother." "Well, the DNA test that I ran will prove
this one way or another," Nicholas tells them. "Once we have those results,
we will be able to stop Clayton in his tracks." Madeline looks over
Andy's shoulder and sees Clayton at the bar with a cocktail in his hand. "I
hope so, because the last thing I want is for Clayton to continue to pull the
wool over our eyes." Meanwhile, at the bar, Clayton takes a sip of
his whiskey sour before he looks over and sees Andy, Nicholas and Madeline huddled
together. He arches his eyebrow at the sight. "I'm sure they are
talking about me," Clayton says with a slight grin on his face. "I will
get the upper hand; I won't let them stop me." ***
Sophie
stands by herself in the corner of the restaurant wondering if she made a mistake
coming to the party. For starters, she can't drink yet, which is half the fun
of New Year's, and secondly, she is still grieving the loss of Cory and she isn't
sure that she feels like celebrating. And finally, the last thing she wants is
to run into Shane or Natasha as she is still furious with her mother for lying
about her fatal illness. "Maybe I should just leave," she whispers
to herself as she looks over her shoulder and happens to see Max and Isabelle
talking together. She arches her eyebrow at the sight as she knows that they had
been seeing each other for a while before Isabelle took interest in Jacob. And,
she hopes that Isabelle isn't pursuing him again because Sophie has a crush on
the photographer. "That's my New Year's Resolution," she tells
herself. "Somehow, someway, I will be with Max. No one and nothing will stop
me at achieving that goal." Meanwhile, Isabelle picks up a glass
of water from a waiter before she looks back at Max, who arches his eyebrow back
to her. "Water? On New Year's?" he asks her quickly, wondering
why Isabelle isn't going to celebrate the end of the year like everyone else.
"After everything that has gone on the last few week, I feel like I need
to keep a clear head," Isabelle tells him, not wanting to reveal that she
is pregnant with Jacob's baby just yet. She doesn't know what she will do with
the baby yet, so she doesn't want a lot of people to know. "That's
fair," Max replies to her. "I still can't believe what Natasha did to
you and Jacob; to pretend to be dying to get Jacob to marry you, it's crazy."
"That's why our heads are spinning," Isabelle admits to him. "I
don't even know if I would be married right now if it wasn't for Natasha's lie."
"If you need anything, even just to talk, you can reach out to me,"
Max replies to her. "I know we didn't work out but we can still be friends."
"You mean that, don't you?" "Of course, I do,"
he says as he pulls her into a hug and holds her for a moment, just as Jacob enters
the party and sees his wife in the arms of his rival, which makes his blood boil.

"Well, it looks like your party is a huge success,"
Robin smiles over to Antonio, who passes her another glass of champagne as waiter
passes them by. "It is a success because I was able to convince you
to get out of the house and attend," he winks back to her as she chuckles
to him. "Seriously, I know that you're still grieving Cory, and you have
two children at home, so I would have understood had you not wanted to come out
tonight." "I have been trying to deal with my grief, but the
truth is," Robin looks back at him before she takes a sip of her champagne.
"I do have to move on with my life; getting out of the house on New Year's
was a good first step." "That is a very good outlook on things,"
Antonio replies to her. "You are still living; and while it hurts to not
have Cory with us, with you, anymore, you still have your life to live."
"That's what I'm trying to focus on, especially with everything going
on with my family." "That sounds like a story," he chuckles
back to her. "Is there anything you want to share?" "It's
a long story, we should enjoy the night, Antonio," she replies to him as
she thinks about all the drama unfolding with Abby and Dominick. "Thank you
for letting me come tonight." "It is my absolute pleasure,"
he tells her. "In case you hadn't noticed, I am rather fond of you."
"You've made that pretty clear," she winks back to him. "Good,"
he tells her. "You should know because I'm not going anywhere."
"I would never ask you to leave." Antonio chuckles back
to her before he leans in and kisses her softly on the lips. The kiss only lasts
a moment before she pulls back away from him. "Happy New Year, Antonio."
"Same to you beautiful." The Tower's, Floor Eight; Victoria
& Bryce's Condo
"Are you sure you're okay with not going out
tonight?" Bryce moves into the living room of the condo that his wife has
lived in for years. He looks at Victoria, who is sitting on the sofa watching
the Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen special on TV, as he knows that they have been
through a lot the last few weeks. "I am more than okay with it,"
Victoria responds to him. "I am still worried that Frederick will try to
come after us." "I don't know if you heard," Bryce replies
to her as he sits next to her. "But there was a fire at Raven's Meadow; so
far, they don't know if anyone survived." "Really?" Victoria
looks back at him in surprise. "Do you think Frederick is dead?"
Bryce shrugs back to her. "It's hard to say; if he was caught in the
hospital
maybe?" "I don't want o get my hopes up but if
that son of a bitch is dead, I wouldn't be sad." "I know,"
he looks into her eyes. "But this gives us time to focus on us, you know?
I know I have to deal with this entire reveal that I might be Jeff and Leah's
son, but I still want us to be together, Victoria." "We have
a lot on our plates right now," Victoria nods back to him. "But
within regards to our marriage," he continues to look at her. "Do you
think we can make it? Do you think you can forgive me for everything I've done?
I've
I've lied to about many things, do you think you can move past that?"
"I don't know," Victoria tells him. "I'm going to need time,
Bryce. I do love you but the trust
it's gone, and I don't know if we can
get past broken trust." The Davenport House; Chris, Trenyce, BJ
& Tinah's Home
"Chris is just putting Tinah down for the night,"
Trenyce tells Cheresa as she moves into the living room of her home with Chris.
"Do you want me to get you a drink or will you head out before midnight?"
"I'll head out before midnight," Cheresa replies to her mother.
"I want to be with Dawn to ring in the New Year; I think that's important
considering what we just went through." "I agree, it is important,"
Trenyce nods back to her. "You two should celebrate and decide if you want
to plan a new wedding date." "One thing at a time," Cheresa
chuckles back to her. "I was hoping we could talk about what happened when
you went into labour, Mom." "You wanted me to tell Chris the
truth," she whispers back to her. "Cheresa, we are so happy right now,
I don't want to rock that boat. Not now, not when we finally have our family unit
together." "But this unit is all based on a lie," Cheresa
replies to her quickly. "Mom, this lie has been going on for so long; it's
time that Chris knows the truth. I need you to tell the truth and I need you to
do it tonight." "The truth about what?" Chris asks as he
moves into the living room. "What are you two talking about?" he asks
as Trenyce gulps heavily and uneasily looks at her daughter. The Robertson
House; Leah & Paige's Home
"I
I can't believe that this
is happening," Ethan admits to Paige as he paces back and forth in the living
room of the house that she lives in with her mother. Ethan's head is spinning
over the fact that Paige revealed to him that he might be Jeff and Leah's long-lost
child that she gave birth to in Santa Barbara all those years ago. "I
I
could be your brother? And we are married?" "I know," Paige
replies to him quickly. "I know my Mom and Dad were trying to find their
child for months, but I never thought that you would be their son." "Me
either," Ethan shakes his head back to her. "Thank God we didn't make
love after the wedding. My God, could you imagine." "What are
we going to do, Ethan?" Paige asks him quickly. "How should we deal
with this?" "We need to figure out if this is true or not,"
Ethan tells her quickly. "And if it is true, we need to get an annulment.
We can't stay married, obviously." Paige uneasily nods back to him.
"You're right; in the New Year, we have to find out if this story is true
or not because if it is, it changes everything." Tyler's Townhouse
"Here are some drinks," Tyler brings Leah and Jeff a scotch as they
continue to stand in the living room of Tyler's home. "It might help calm
your nerves." "I just wish we would hear something about Mom,"
Leah replies to him as she takes a sip of her drink. "It is New Year's
Eve," Jeff tells them the obvious fact. "You might not hear until the
new year." "I hope not, we need to know something," Leah
protests back to him. "After everything we've been through the last few weeks,
this is the last thing that we needed." Before anyone can say anything
else, Tyler's cell phone rings. He looks over at Leah before he moves to his phone
and picks it up. "Tyler Robertson," he says as he answers his
phone. "Yes, thanks, I understand. Are you absolutely sure, though? Okay,
I get it. Thanks." He hangs up the phone as he turns and looks over
at Leah. "That was the fire department," he informs her and Jeff. "They
don't believe that anyone survived the fire at Raven's Meadow; they believe Frederick
and Felicia are dead." "No," Leah gasps as tears flood
her eyes as fireworks start exploding outside as the new year has hit Twin Peaks.
"No, this can't be happening!" Next on One Day at a Time -
