Natasha paces back and forth in the small waiting room of the medical center
that is on Maui. She is waiting for an update on Sophie, who was shot at the launch
party a few hours earlier. She knows that it took the paramedics a while to arrive
at the Barracuda Blue, and now she is worried that it might cause Sophie her life.
She's trying to stay positive, but the fact is, the other two people that were
shot have died already. "I got some coffee from the cafeteria,"
Max announces to her as he moves into the waiting room and passes a cup to Natasha.
"I thought you could use the caffeine." "Thanks,"
Natasha replies to him. "The waiting, it's the worst part, you know?"
"Yea, I get it," Max nods back to her. "Just remember, Sophie
is a strong, young, woman. There's no reason that she shouldn't make a full recovery."
"That's what Jacob said too." "Where did Jacob go?"
"He and Isabelle went for a walk; they needed some air," Natasha
explains to him. "This entire event, it's been a huge disaster."
Max grabs her hand and squeezes it. "Don't worry about the event, okay?
The only thing that matter is that Sophie makes it." Before Natasha
can respond, a young doctor moves into the waiting room and approaches her and
Max. "Mrs. Calimo?" the doctor asks. "Yes, that's me,"
Natasha looks back at her. "How is my daughter? Please tell me that Sophie
is going to be okay?" | |

The Tower's, Floor One; Andy's
Condo Nicholas unlocks the door to Andy's condo and moves inside.
As he moves into the living room, his eyes are immediately drawn to the muddy
footprints, which are still on the carpet in the room. He realizes that they should
have them cleaned, but he currently has more important things to focus on.
After he wondered if Clayton was alive, he drove to the Victors mansion to
see if Clayton's body was still there. After digging it up, he discovered that
the body was not buried where he and Andy left it, so he realized that Clayton
must be alive. He went back to his mansion and wondered how he could find Clayton,
which is why back at Andy's condo. He opens the small bag he is carrying
and pulls out a small device. "This camera will let me see all of the activities
that happen in this condo," he says as he puts the small camera, that looks
like a pen, on the bookshelf. "I'll be able to see if Clayton is coming in
and out of Andy's place, and if he is, I can be ready for him." He
looks at the camera and then opens his phone. He uses an app and can see himself
on his phone screen. "Perfect," he gets a grin on his face.
"It's working. Okay, Clayton, time to see if you're the one gaslighting Andy."
Tyler's Townhouse "And so, you have no idea as to why
Paige voted to allow Victoria to work at Robertson Enterprises?" Madeline
asks Tyler as they sit next to one another on the sofa in the living room of Tyler's
townhouse. Tyler just finished explaining to her how the Robertson Enterprises
board vote went; he and Leah voted against the idea of Victoria working at the
company, while Eva used her own vote and Dominick's to vote in favor. Paige's
vote was the deciding vote, and she voted to put Victoria in the company, which
left him, and Leah, stunned. "I don't know her motivates are,"
he tells her before he takes a sip of his brandy. "And it was so late, that
I just called the meeting and came home. But Leah and I, we will have to figure
out what happened and ask Paige why she voted against us." "I
mean, maybe she thinks Victoria would be a good fit? She is family in some ways,
after all?" "I guess," Tyler sighs back to her. "The
last thing we need at the company right now is to be unstable; Victoria has a
history of being unstable, so it is just worrisome." "I think,
Mr. CEO, that you will be able to handle this," Madeline purses her lips
together as she looks at him. "Because you know how to handle complicated
situations." Tyler chuckles back to her. "I'm glad you have
faith in me." Madeline crawls onto his lap and looks into his eyes.
"I do," she smiles back to him. "Now, how about I take your mind
off your family business drama?" "And how do you propose that
you will do that?" "By doing this," she leans in and kisses
him passionately. "And this," she continues as she moves her lips to
his neck. "And even this," she says as she starts to undo the zipper
of his pants. "I like the way you're thinking," he chuckles
to her as he takes his shirt off and they continue to get closer to making love
to one another. The Barracuda Blue; Maui, Hawaii
The poolside
deck has yellow police tape surrounding the perimeters as the police are now treating
the resort as a crime scene, due to the shootings that happened earlier in the
evening. In the corner of the deck, Lyzz stands with a blanket wrapped
around her as the flashing police lights illuminate her face. She is still in
shock that a few hours earlier, Ash asked her to marry him, and she accepted,
and now, she is alone as he was shot by one of the gunmen and he died from his
injuries. "Can I get you anything?" Cole asks her as he moves
up to her with a glass of water in his hand. "Anything at all?"
Lyzz shrugs her shoulders back to her friend. "There's nothing that will
bring Ash back," she whispers back to him. "So no, there's nothing that
you can do." "You know I'm here for you, right?" Cole asks
her as she nods back to him. "Anything you need, I'm here to help."
"If you mean that, you can help me with this," Orvilla announces
from behind Cole. Cole turns and sees Lyzz's aunt standing behind them.
He arches his eyebrow. "What's all this?" "A press statement,"
Orvilla replies to him. "You and I, we need to spin this in a way that Rockwell
Mining and the Barracuda Blue don't look bad. So, any ideas on how we can spin
two deaths, a kidnapping and a jewel heist in a positive manner?" ***
"Daddy,
I am telling you that I am fine," Stacey tells Mac, as she lays on the small
lounger on the pool deck. Stacey is about to be checked out by a doctor, which
Mac insisted on after she was kidnapped by the men that Kent hired. He wants to
ensure that his daughter is fine after her ordeal. "I was only gone for about
two hours." "Please just humor me," Mac replies to her
as he grabs her hand. "This evening has been stressful for everyone, I just
want to ensure that you're okay." "I won't argue with you, but
I know that I'm fine," she smiles back to him. "I'm still just in shock
about Quinn's death. It feels surreal." "I know," Mac nods
back to her. "I have no idea how I am going to tell Sabine that her daughter
was shot at this launch party. She's going to be devastated." "She
was so young; so full of life," Stacey tells him. "It doesn't seem fair."
"No, it doesn't," Mac agrees with her. "It just makes you realize
how short and precious life is." Before Stacey can respond, some
police officers approach Mac. "Mr. Rockwell, do you have a few minutes?"
"Uh, yes, of course," Mac looks back at them. "I'll be right
back, darling." Stacey nods to him as a doctor approaches her and
starts to check her vitals. "What is this about?" Mac asks the
police officers. "The pink diamonds," one of the officers tells
Mac. "We have found them; and since they belong to you, we are going to give
them back to you." Mac breathes a sigh of relief. "I appreciate
that," Mac smiles back to him. "And with Kent in jail, it means that
this nightmare is finally over." Mac then moves back towards Stacey,
who has tears in her eyes. "Stacey? What happened? What is it? What did the
doctor say?" Stacey looks up at him as her lower lip quivers. "I
I
lost my baby," she tells him quickly. "I had a miscarriage. The doctor
said the stress of the kidnapping was too much..." "Oh Stacey,"
Mac leans down and holds his daughter as she starts to weep. "I am so sorry,
my beauty. I am so very sorry." ***
A short time later,
Cole moves up Stacey and Mac, as they standing by the door to the foyer of the
resort. He hugs Stacey before he looks at Mac. "Are you ready to
go home?" Cole asks his family. "More than ready," Mac
uneasily smiles back to him. "Let's go home." They prepare to
leave, just as Orvilla comes up to Mac. "I know you have a plane to catch,"
Orvilla purses her lips together. "But I did want to thank you for coming
to the Barracuda Blue; I know the party didn't go off as planned, and we have
some tragedies to deal with, but I hope over all you had a nice time?"
"We appreciate you working with us," Mac shakes her hand. "Thanks
for everything, Orvilla. But it's time that we go home. My family needs to recover
from this." "I understand," Orvilla replies to him, still
furious that Lyzz's idea for this gala turned into a publicity nightmare.
Maui Memorial Medical Center; Maui, Hawaii Cassie stands in
the cafeteria of the medical center with a coffee in her hand. Her mind is racing
on her confrontation with Isabelle that she had right before they came to the
hospital. Isabelle reminded her that she will tell the police that Cassie pushed
her down the stairs, which resulted in her miscarriage. Cassie told her that it
was a lie, but Isabelle claimed that everyone would believe her because of Cassie's
sorted history. "You think you're so clever," Cassie takes a
sip of her coffee. "But I will win, because I always do." She
pulls out her Iphone from her purse and opens an app. In the app, she presses
play, and listens to the conversation that she had with Isabelle, as she recorded
it. She listens to her tell Isabelle that her pushing her down the stairs was
a lie and Isabelle mentions that she knows but no one would believe her. "I
got you," Cassie smirks to herself as she realizes that she can now prove
that she didn't push Isabelle down the stairs. "And you will not get away
with this." ***
"Doctor, please, don't keep me
waiting, how is Sophie?" an eager Natasha asks the doctor as they continue
to face one another in the waiting room of the medical clinic. "I
managed to stabilize her," the doctor replies to her as Natasha breathes
a sigh of relief. "But she has lost a lot of blood; she will need surgery
to remove the bullet still, but it is far too complicated to do that surgery here."
"We have to move her to another hospital?" Natasha asks him as he
nods back to her. "Yes, this is just a small clinic, we don't have
the capacity to do a full surgery here." "Then, please, let's
fly her back to Twin Peaks?" Natasha tells him. "I want my daughter
back home, where Dr. Shane Glubbs can perform the surgery. Is that possible? Can
you airlift my daughter home?" "Of course," the doctor
nods back to her. "I'll make the arrangements." "Thank
you," Natasha purses her lips together before she looks at Max, just as Jacob
and Isabelle enter the waiting room. "We are going home; let's get out of
here." Next on One Day at a Time - Cory learns of Sophie's
shooting - Chris confronts Trenyce - Daisy puts blame on Trenyce's drama | |
