The Lawson Estate; Cheresa &
Abby's Home
"How did your late meeting at the prison go?"
Cheresa asks Dawn before she puts some fruit salad into her mouth as the newly
reunited couple have breakfast together. Cheresa knows that the previous night
Dawn went back to the prison to talk to more prisoners about their mental health
for an upcoming report that she is writing. Dawn takes a sip of her coffee
as she recalls that she had, another, meeting with Tara, the woman that kidnapped
Cheresa and shot Kim. The odd thing about the meeting is that Dawn, seemingly,
can't remember a lot about it, but it was pretty late. "Early to
Dawn," Cheresa waves her hand in the air, causing Dawn to snap back into
reality. "Sorry, what did you say?" Dawn asks as she takes another
sip of her coffee. "Your meeting last night? How'd it go?"
"Oh yea, it was fine," Dawn replies to her quickly. "It was
brief, I think, I'm almost done my interviews; I just have to start writing the
actual report now." "That's great news," Cheresa smiles
back to her. "If I am honest, I never liked the idea of you being at the
prison so often." "Ah, most of those women are harmless,"
Dawn explains to her. "What did you get up to with the rest of your evening?"
"You won't believe this," Cheresa forces a smile on her face. "But
Chantel actually came back here." Dawn arches her eyebrow back to
her. "Really? Why is that?" "She just wanted to tell me
that she respected my decision but that she was falling in love with me,"
Cheresa informs her. "It was harmless; I mean, I feel bad that I've hurt
her, but I couldn't deny that I was still in love with you." Dawn
puts a smile on her face. "And I can't deny that I love you too," Dawn
replies to her. "Now we can put this behind us and move forward. That's all
I want." "That's what I want too, more than you know."
The Cemetery Isabelle walks through the snow-covered cemetery
towards her father's tombstone. It has been a few das since she visited her father
and after Jacob decided to be with Cassie instead of her, Isabelle felt like she
wanted to see him. She, still, hates that Antonio was killed last year; it doesn't
seem fair, and now, Daisy, who had been sentenced to his death, was released after
new information came to light. "Hi Daddy," she says as she wipes
some of the snow off the tombstone. "It's been a few days since I came, I'm
sorry about that. I
I've realized that I should be coming to see you more
often." She feels her eyes swell with water as she looks at her father's
name on the tombstone. "This still doesn't seem fair, Daddy," she says
as cold breath can be seen in the air. "You should be here with me, especially
now that Daisy has gone free. If all of this is true, then I still don't feel
like justice has been served for your death, and that's unacceptable."
"And there is Jacob," she sighs to him. "He's decided to be
with Cassie instead of me. I
I should have seen this coming considering what
I did, but
my God, he wants to be with that bitch instead of me? I hate this,
all of this, Daddy." A tear falls down her cheek and she quickly
wipes it away. "I miss you," she whispers. "I miss you so very
much." The Tower's, The Penthouse; Cory's Home
Cory
opens the door to the penthouse and allows Stephanie to guide Penny inside. Penny
has just been released from the hospital and Stephanie agreed to help get her
settled in the penthouse, since this is a huge adjustment for the farmer, who
has lost her eyesight. Once Cory knew that she was getting released from the hospital,
he insisted that Penny come to the penthouse and live with him as he still feels
responsible for everything that has happened to her, and Gordy. "Easy
does it," Stephanie guides Penny into the living room and walks her down
the couple of stairs. "You'll be fine." "I
I'm going
to have to get used to this space," Penny admits to everyone as she finds
the sofa and sits down. "That being said, it does feel good being out of
the hospital." "Can I get you anything, anything at all?"
Cory asks Penny, as he sits next to her. "No, I'm fine for right
now," Penny smiles back to him. "I can't thank you enough for letting
me stay here, Cory." "Of course," Cory replies to her.
"You know that I'd do anything for you." "And doctor, thank
you so much for everything," Penny says getting misty-eyed. "You
you
saved my life and pulled me out of that coma. You're a miracle worker!"
"I'll second that," Cory chuckles as Stephanie blushes back to them.
"I was just doing my job," Stephanie tells them. "But you're
welcome. We can be in touch with your progress, okay?" "I'd
like that a lot, thanks again," Penny says back to her. "Okay,
I'll leave you two to get settled, but Cory please keep me updated on anything
that seems out of the ordinary." "I will, thanks," Cory
stands up and walks Stephanie to the door. Once she leaves, he closes the door,
but it doesn't latch fully. "Okay, we are alone, are you sure that there's
nothing I can get you?" Penny chuckles back to him. "Okay, you
win, how about just you? Come sit with me, and tell me how you've been?"
Cory moves back around the coffee table and sits next to her. "Honestly
Pen, I've been at the hospital all day, every day," he admits to her. "I've
been so worried about you
I'm just so glad that you're going to be okay,
and I hope that your eyesight comes back." "I do too but for
right now, we have to make the best of this," she tells him. "And thank
you for being here for me, it means more to me than you'll ever know."
Penny reaches out for Cory and finds his body, pulling him into a hug. "I
wouldn't be anywhere else," he whispers to her. At the door, Robin
appears holding some flowers for Penny's homecoming. Instead, she sees the man
she loves in the arms of the woman that he was sharing a bed with for the months
that everyone believed he was dead. Robertson Enterprises
Victoria
sits behind her desk in her office at Robertson Enterprises typing into her laptop
as she is trying to come up with a new marketing idea for the company. After Leah
gave her resignation, Tyler told Victoria that it was up to them to come up with
the next big idea that would put the company back on the map as they have been
suffering lately. Victoria has some good ideas, but she knows that she is still
missing the one that will really set the company apart from anyone else. "You
look like you're very hard at work," a voice says at the door of her office.
Victoria looks over and sees Jeff standing there holding some files in his hand.
"You have no idea," Victoria chuckles to him. "Tyler gave me
the task of coming up with our next big idea." Jeff chuckles back
to her. "Ah, I've been there. Any luck so far?" Victoria shrugs
back to him. "I've had some ideas, but I still think I'm waiting for the
best one to come yet." "Do you mind if I take a look? I might
be able to give you some pointers?" Victoria arches her eyebrow back
to her. "What are you doing Jeff?" she asks him quickly. "What
do you mean? We work together, I am just trying to be helpful?" "Is
that all?" Victoria asks him. "Because you know that Leah, who is practically
your wife, hates me, and that your son and I are on the outs, so what are you
really trying to do?" "Look," Jeff sighs back to her. "I
never liked how Leah was trying to interfere in your relationship with Bryce,"
he reveals to her. "I kept trying to tell Leah that by meddling, she would
only push Bryce away, and that's exactly what happened. And as for Leah and these
missing funds, until the investigation is complete, I have to believe that everything
has happened for a reason. I don't believe that Leah stole that money, I know
she didn't, but I don't think you did either, unlike Leah. Right now, I agree
with Tyler; we have to put the company first, and if that means you and I work
together, then so be it. Besides, I have a lot of other shit in my life right
now, work is a great distraction." Victoria breathes a sigh of relief
at his genuine response back to her. "Alright, I'll give you the benefit
of the doubt," she purses her lips together. "Come around here and look
at my screen with me; you can give me your feedback." "Sounds
good," Jeff says as he moves around her desk and Victoria starts to share
her screen of initial ideas she has with Jeff. The Sugarbowl At
the back booth of the coffeehouse, Leah stirs her coffee with a stir stick before
she takes a sip of it. She, normally, would be at work at this hour, but since
she quit Robertson, she has nothing else going on, so she is enjoying her second
coffee and playing on her phone. She still hates that she had to give up her job
while this investigation is taking place into the missing funds; what's more troubling
is how long the investigation is taking. She had hoped that the company would
have uncovered that it was Victoria that set all of this into motion and she would
have been without a job by now. She looks up from her coffee and sees
Tyler scurrying inside to get coffee. She waves at her brother, which gets his
attention, so he finds himself moving closer to his sister after he gets his coffee.
"Hey Leah, morning," he says as he sits across from her last night.
"Quite the storm last night, huh?" "That's one way of putting
it," Leah replies to him. "I know you're heading into Robertson, but
has there been any update on this investigation? I'm losing my mind not working."
Tyler chuckles to her. "I would too if I was in your position,"
he admits to her. "But no, Leah, there is no update. Everything that I get
from the team looking into this is that the evidence is pointing to you because
the fund request came from your laptop; they are struggling to fid out how anyone
could have done this but you since only you would have had your logon credentials."
"Oh God," Leah groans back to him. "This is not good, Tyler.
I did not steal from my own family's company! It just doesn't make sense!"
"I know that," Tyler replies to her. "But until they can come
back with some proof, this is how it has to be." "This is Victoria's
fault," Leah shakes her head. "I know that woman did this, I just have
to figure out a way to prove it!" "How are you going to do it?"
"I have no idea," Leah tells him. "But I have too, Tyler. My
entire reputation and career are on the line because of that barracuda."
*** Meanwhile, at the window bar, Trenyce and Daisy sit next
to one another with lattes and muffins in front of them. Trenyce is thrilled that
she is with her Aunt because for a time, she was worried that moments like this
might not happen again because Daisy was sentenced to jail for killing Antonio;
only the truth that Gordy was the killer, and Daisy was released. "I'm
so glad that we are doing this," Trenyce gushes to Daisy, before she takes
a bite of her chocolate chip muffin. "I missed you so much when you were
in jail." "I missed you all too," Daisy admits to her.
"I am just glad that the truth came out and I am back with my family, where
I belong." "As happy as this is, I am afraid that there is more
drama coming out way," she sighs back to her Aunt. Daisy arches her
eyebrow. "What do you mean? What is happening now?" "You
know that Chris sued me for custody of Albertinah," Trenyce reminds her quickly.
"Well, I got him to put the case on pause while you were in jail. Together
with Andrew, the three of us were trying to think of a way to prove your innocent.
I convinced Chris that getting you out of jail was the most important thing, and
he agreed." "That's good, right?" Daisy asks her quickly.
"Yes, it was," Trenyce nods back to him. "But now that you're
free, Chris told me he is starting up the case again. He wants custody of my little
girl." Daisy sighs back to her. "I'm sorry Trey," she tells
her niece. "I know how hard this will be for you." "I can't
lose my little girl, I just can't." "Wait," Daisy looks
back at her with intent. "This all started when your affair with Andrew came
to light, right?" "Yea, right." "Well, maybe
that's the answer Trenyce," Daisy tells her quickly. "Get a paternity
test done on Albertinah; if Andrew is the father of your daughter, then Chris
couldn't get custody of her. The answer is to find out once and for all who fathered
Albertinah, it could change everything for you." The Calimo Mansion
"My God," Robbie gasps back to Kim as they sit next to one another
on the sofa in the living room of the Calimo mansion. Kim just revealed to him
everything that happened at the cabin, including the loss of their baby. "I
I
don't know what to say." "There is nothing to say," Kim
whispers back to him. "I went to that damn cabin to get away from you, only
to find Madeline. I drove in that storm, we crashed our cars, and now, my baby,
our baby, is gone! Why
why does this always happen to me?" "This
isn't your fault," Robbie tries to grab her hand to squeeze it, but she pulls
away from him. "You're right," Kim hisses back to him. "This
is your fault! This was all set in motion on New Year's Eve when you couldn't
keep your dick in your pants and you fucked Madeline!" "Kim,
please, I have apologized to you for that," Robbie replies to her quickly.
"And Madeline, it sounds like she saved you!" "She might
have, but she didn't save my baby, did she? No, my baby's death is all on you
and Madeline! You're to blame for the death of my child!" Next
