Twin Peaks General Hospital

Sophie sits in the waiting room of the hospital looking at the screen of her phone. She is at the hospital for a checkup following her shooting, but she is grateful that her recovery is still going as smoothly as possible. She gets a sly grin on her face as gets an incoming text from Max, who is asking to meet her. While she is happy that she will get to see her lover, she can't help but recall how the last time she saw him, he was holding hands with Abby. While she knows that they are friends, she can't help but feel a twinge of jealousy seeing them together.

"Be right there - see you soon," she types into her phone before she stands up. As she prepares to leave, Shane happens to walk by the waiting room.

"Soph, what are you doing here?" he asks as he moves into the waiting room.

"Oh hey," Sophie looks at her stepfather. "I had a checkup after my shooting; don't worry, everything is fine."

"I'm happy to hear that," Shane smiles back to her. "By the way, your mother told me that you found my high school yearbook?"

Sophie nods back to him. "Yea, it was pretty random," she admits to him. "I was going through some of my old boxes the night of the storm, and I happened to stumble upon it."

"I see," Shane looks back at her. "Just do me a favor, okay? Stay out of my belongings; they are in the attic for a reason."

Sophie looks back at him in surprise as she didn't expect that reaction from him. "Uh, sure, sorry if I overstepped; it won't happen again."

Twin Peaks Sun; Andy's Office

Andy sits behind his desk at the Twin Peaks Sun typing into his laptop as he is writing his next piece for the next edition of the paper. As he types, he can't help but think about the night of the storm, where he ran into Clayton at the Pink Flamingo, and he admitted that he wanted a love like Andy has with Nicholas. Andy, actually, ended up embracing him and telling him that it will happen for him. For the first time in a very long time, Andy felt a genuine connection to his brother-in-law.

"I come with coffee," Nicholas giggles as he opens the door to his fiancé's office and moves forward with a coffee from the Sugarbowl in his hand. "I thought you left the condo so early that you could use a pick me up."

"You read my mind," Andy stands up and kisses Nicholas on the lips. "Thanks babe."

"Of course," Nicholas replies to him. "I was grabbing one before I was going to head to the One Day house and thought I'd surprise you."

"That's very sweet of you," Andy says back to him. "Do you have a busy day?"

"I do," Nicholas nods back to him. "But I did want to ask you about something."

Andy arches his eyebrow back to him. "What's up?"

"The night of the storm," Nicholas begins to tell him. "I was parking the car, and when I came into the Pink Flamingo…you, well, you were in the arms of Clayton. What is going on, exactly?"

Andy gulps back to him quickly. "Nothing," Andy reassures him. "Clayton and I, we actually had a nice moment where he was telling me that he hopes to have what we have one day; I was telling him he will," Andy reveals to him. "Trust me when I say that there is nothing going on between me and Clayton; you and I, we are the only things that matter to me."

"I am relieved," Nicholas sighs back to him. "I don't know why it bothered me, but it did."

"We have been through a lot with Clayton, it's only natural that you'd feel that way, but you're the man I love and want to be with, now and forever."

The Pink Flamingo at the River Rock Casino

Lukas storms into the restaurant and makes a beeline to the bar. A few hours earlier, he and Donovan were served with custody papers from Abby over Olly; he can't believe that Abby is actually going to try to take his son away from him. He knows that he and Donovan are the only parents that Olly has ever known, so if Abby is successful in getting custody, Olly will be confused. And, he knows that Abby always refers to him as Sonny, which will further add to the little boy's confusion. He told Donovan that he needed some time to think and he came to the restaurant to get a drink, so he orders a double scotch.

"Rough morning?" a voice calls out from behind Lukas, who turns and sees Clayton standing behind him.

Lukas immediately remembers that Clayton is the man that found one of Olly's toys on the ground at the Sugarbowl the day before, and finds himself nodding back to him, as Clayton sits next to him. "You have no idea," Lukas admits to him as he takes a swig of his scotch. "Normally I don't drink this early, and if I do, it's not this strong."

Clayton chuckles back to him. "It's Lukas, right?"

"Yea, good memory…Clayton?"

"Yea, that's right," Clayton smiles back him. "Do you want to talk about whatever it is that's troubling you?"

"You remember my son?" Lukas asks him. "You found his toy on the ground?"

"How could I forget? He's a charmer," Clayton chuckles back to him.

"That he is," Lukas nods back to him. "It's a long story, but his biological mother is now suing me and my husband for custody of Olly; I'm just rattled."

"Ah, I'm sorry," Clayton tells him. "You and your partner must be devastated by this."

"Donovan and I, we haven't been close in a very long time," Lukas continues to share with Clayton. "But I can sense that he is scared, just as scared as I am."

"Maybe this will bring you two closer together?" Clayton suggests to him.

"I don't know about that," Lukas sighs back to him. "I've been trying to reunite with him, but he has a new boyfriend, and well, he has seemingly forgotten that I even exist."

"I doubt that very much."

"Why do you say that?" Lukas looks back at him.

"You're a handsome man, it would be difficult to forget you," Clayton admits to him.

"That's kind of you to say," Lukas looks back at him with a smile. "Maybe running into the other day was a sign of better things to come?"

"I'll drink to that," Clayton replies to him quickly.

At a table in the middle of the restaurant, Leah sits with a glass of white wine in front of her while she waits for her early lunch to arrive. Across from her, Jeff is sitting with a sparkling water. He opted to not have an alcoholic drink as he has to go back to Robertson Enterprises once their lunch date is over.

"I'm glad you were able to squeeze me into your schedule today," Leah chuckles to him. "I know that you must be slammed at the office right now. Paige was telling me earlier that she is."

"We are busy," Jeff nods back to her. "Tyler has given us the task of coming up with the next big product and launch at the company. By the way, how is Paige? I haven't seen her today."

"She revealed that she is interested in a new man," Leah reveals to him before she takes a sip of her wine. "So, I think that's exciting for her."

"After everything she went through with Ethan, I'd say that is a very good sign," Jeff replies to her as he thinks about how Ethan and Paige married in Las Vegas, only to find out that they are half-siblings, which no one knew at the time. "I hope she's moving slowly."

"She didn't even tell me who it was, so I am thinking that she is," Leah tells her. "I am dying to know, however, what's happening at the office? I miss working there every day."

"I can tell," Jeff winks back to her. "To be honest, the project that we are working on is very new; Victoria and I, we were just brainstorming earlier today. But we haven't come up with anything concrete yet."

"You and Victoria?" Leah asks him in surprise. "You're working with her?"

"Stay calm," Jeff replies to her. "I know you think Victoria set you up, and you might be right, but until it is proven, I do have to work with her. I can't rock the boat more at the company, Leah."

"I hate this," Leah shakes her head to him. "That woman is taking over my life, and it has to stop! It has too!"

She stands up and throws her napkin down on the table. "Where are you going?" Jeff asks her.

"I've lost my appetite," Leah tells him as she storms away from the table, leaving him alone, and wondering how he can make this right again.

Sophie moves into the restaurant and spies Max sitting at the back table of the restaurant. She is relieved that he is alone as the last time she was meeting him, he was with Abby.

"Hi, sorry I'm late, I was at the hospital," Sophie says as she sits across from him. "I hope you weren't waiting long."

"Nah, not really," Max replies to her. "But thanks for coming here. I thought we should talk."

Sophie arches her eyebrow. "Have I done something wrong?"

"Not exactly," Max looks back at her. "But the last time we met, you sort of zoned out, and I was trying to think why and then I realized why; it's because you saw me with Abby, right?"

"I did," Sophie quickly tells him as she gulps. "But…"

"No Sophie, no buts," Max cuts her off. "I know you're new to relationships, but if you're going to be insecure every time you see me with Abby, or any other friend that happens to be female, you can't be insecure. I won't lose my friendships for you and you shouldn't ask me too. You have to deal with this, or we won't work, we just won't."

Sophie feels her eyes swell with water back to him. "I…I'm sorry," she tells him. "I will work on this, I promise."

The Davenport House; Trenyce, BJ, & Albertinah's Home

"Okay, so I've made an appointment with the hospital," Trenyce tells Chris as she puts her phone down on the coffee table in the living room that she shares with her children. Earlier, she told Chris that she wanted to have a DNA test on Albertinah to find out who the father of her daughter is; she knows that she got pregnant shortly after she slept with Andrew all those months ago, so he could be the father, but Chris would also be her father. If Andrew is the father, however, she believes that Chris would have a weaker case to get custody of Albertinah.

"Perfect, when is it?" Chris asks her quickly, but before Trenyce can respond, the doorbell rings.

"Excuse me for a moment," Trenyce replies to him as she scurries to the front door, where she sees Andrew standing on the other side. "Andrew, hi, come in."

"Thanks Trey," Andrew replies to her as Chris moves into foyer and sees the younger man. "Chris, hi."

"Andrew."

"Daisy told me about the DNA test," Andrew reveals to the estranged couple. "I wanted to come and see if I could do anything to help?"

"I just made an appointment with the hospital," Trenyce reveals to him. "They are backed up, so the earliest appointment was in May."

"We have to wait a month?" Chris asks in surprise as Trenyce nods back to him.

"Like I said, I got the earliest appointment possible," Trenyce tells him. "But we know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We will know the truth sooner than later."

"And then we can all move on," Andrew chimes in. "We can finally know who the father of Albertinah is."

The Calimo Mansion

Robbie paces back and forth in the living room of the Calimo mansion. His mind is racing over the fact that Kim revealed to him that she and Madeline crashed their vehicles the night of the storm, and as a result, she lost their baby. Robbie, then, went to see Madeline to find out what happened, but Clayton revealed to him that she left town.

"Something doesn't make sense here," Robbie whispers to herself. "Madeline saved Kim from her SUV, drove her home the next morning, and then left town? Why would she do that?" he asks himself. "She saved Kim, she should be praising herself as a hero."

He moves to the desk and grabs his phone. He dials Madeline's number and then moves his phone his ear. "Madeline, hi, it's me," he says as he hears her say hi.

"Hi Robbie," Madeline replies to him from an undisclosed location.

"How are you? I…I can't believe that you left town," he admits to her.

"I'm fine," Madeline tells him. "I am assuming that you heard about the crash the night of the storm?"

"I did, Kim is devastated by the loss of the baby," Robbie tells her quickly. "I wanted to know what happened?"

Madeline sighs heavily back to him. "Kim didn't tell you?" she asks him quickly.

"She did, but our baby, it was healthy, Madeline, how did this happen?"

"We were in a car accident," Madeline replies to him. "Kim was unconscious as she had a concussion; I took her back to the cabin, and assessed her; the baby, it didn't survive the crash. I am sorry, I did everything I could."

"Then why did you leave town?" he asks her next. "You saved Kim's life, why did you leave?"

She sighs again. "You don't seem to understand that my life also changed after you slept with me on New Year's," she informs him. "You weren't the only one that was impacted by that night."

"Your life changed? How? What are you saying?"

"I will be back in town eventually, Robbie," Madeline replies to him. "But for now, this is goodbye. I will tell you what happened, but I need time, okay? Please, after everything you've put me through, this is the least that you can do for me."

Before Robbie can respond, he hears Madeline disconnect the call. Robbie looks at his phone in disbelief, feeling more confused then ever before about what is going on with Madeline.

Twin Peaks General Hospital

Tyler walks through the hallway of the hospital as he just finished giving the annual Robertson Enterprises donation to the child's wing. After Blake died all those years ago, the company has always donated to the children's wing; it is a way for him, and the company, to honor his memory.

As he moves past one of the waiting rooms, he freezes as he sees Kim sitting inside. He arches his eyebrow wondering what she is doing at the hospital. "Kim, hey, what's up?" he asks as he moves into the room and sits next to her.

"Hey Tyler," she whispers back to him. She is at the hospital as she was checked out by a doctor to ensure she is fine after the car accident and miscarriage, which thankfully, she is.

"Okay, what's wrong? I can tell something is going on with you."

"You know me so well," she says with a half-grin on her face. "I…I don't know how to say this," she says as tears flood her eyes.

"Just tell me," Tyler grabs her hand. "You know you can tell me anything."

Kim looks at him as a tear falls down her cheek. "The baby," she whispers. "It…it didn't make it…"

"Oh my God," Tyler replies as he pulls her into a hug. "I'm so sorry Kim. My God, this is awful."

"I'm cursed," Kim tells him as they exit their embrace. "Every time I think I'm going to be a mother, the child, they are ripped away from me."

"Don't say that," Tyler says back to her. "You're not cursed; this was an accident, a horrible accident."

"And so was Blake," Kim cries back to him. "And so was the last miscarriage I had. How many accidents can a woman have?"

"Oh Kim," Tyler pulls her into another hug and she starts to weep into his arms. "I'm here for you, I'm right here."

***

Dawn, meanwhile, sits the file room at one of the computers. Shane has allowed her to use the file room as a space for her to write her paper on the mental health impacts to the inmates at the prison that she has been working on. At first, Dawn enjoyed her visits to the prison as she was able to connect with Daisy, and a few other women, but then, she had a few interactions with Tara, which have left her shaken. She knows that she shouldn't let that woman get to her, but she can't deny that Tara did rattle her.

She pauses when she hears her cell phone ping. She smiles as she imagines that the text message is from Cheresa; she is so happy that they have reunited, even though she knows trusting her again will still take a lot of work.

She turns her phone over and feels the blood drain from her face as she reads the text. "You're going to die, bitch," she reads the message out loud, from an unknown number.

"Who…who would send this? And why?" she asks herself quickly as she feels hands start to tremble.
