Twin Peaks Law Courts

Ethan paces back and forth in the foyer of the courthouse. The custody battle between Donovan and Lukas and Abby is about to begin, and Ethan can't help but have nerves in his stomach about what could happen. The last thing that he wants is for Abby to lose Sonny when she has already lost so much time with her son.

He is also thinking about how Abby lost it when she found out that Bryce asked him to help him with his legal issues that he is facing for his role in the baby switch. He can't blame Abby for feeling that way because it was her son that was involved in the switch, but he does feel like he is between a rock and a hard place.

While he waits for Abby, who is using the restroom, he pulls his cell phone out of his pocket and dials a number. "Voicemail," he whispers to himself. "Bryce, hey, it's Ethan," he says into the mailbox. "I got your message about helping with your charges, and man, I have to say no. Considering Abby's role in all this, I couldn't put her through that, I, I hope you understand."

"Bryce asked you for help?" Leah asks her son as she moves up behind him. "And you said no?"

Ethan sighs back to her. "What are you doing here?"

"I knew the trial was today and wanted to come and wish you good luck," Leah admits to him. "I know how much means to you."

"Well, thanks, that was nice of you."

"And now you can answer me," Leah looks back at him with intent. "If your brother needs help, why would you turn him down?"

"Because of me," Abby announces as she moves up to Leah and Ethan. "I asked Ethan not to help Bryce; not after that son of a bitch stole my son from me. If you want to help Bryce, you can, but Ethan, he is supporting me."

Leah uneasily gulps back to them, still thinking that Abby is bad news for her son. "Well, like I said, good luck today, Ethan. I'm thinking of you."

Ethan smiles back to her before he and Abby turn and move towards the courtroom. Once they are inside, Abby turns and looks at him. "Thanks for doing that for me," she whispers to him. "I appreciate your support."

"Of course," Ethan nods back to her. "After you explained, it all made sense. And now, we have to brace ourselves for today. It won't be easy."

"I know," Abby sighs. "But I can't lose my son. I won't."

They turn and see Donovan, Lukas, and their lawyer, Josh Levitt, at a table at the front of the room. Donovan and Lukas turn to see Abby before they turn back around, all preparing for the battle of their lives.

In the back aisle of the courtroom, Meggan and Logan sit next to one another as they have arrived to support Lukas and Donovan as they know that the trial will be hard on them. Meggan looks over at her son with a smile on her face as she is glad that he is there with her to support her and Lukas today.

"It's nice that you were able to join me today," Meggan tells her son, who looks back at his mother.

"I know how stressed Lukas and Donovan are," Logan sighs back to her. "I thought it would be good for us, for me, to be here."

"I couldn't agree more," Meggan nods back to them. "And if things get tense, I have a flask in my purse for us to share."

Logan chuckles back to her. "Of course, you do," he winks back to her. "But let's hope it doesn't come to that."

The Cascade Apartments; Cassie & Carter's Home

"I needed that this morning," Cassie says with a grin on her face as she lays next to Jacob's sweaty, naked chest, as they just finished making love to one another. Cassie is still on cloud nine that she and Jacob have reunited and are together in every way possible.

"So did I," Jacob chuckles back to her to as he looks over at her. "I'm glad that Carter had an early class so he didn't hear us, we were pretty vocal today."

"A girl has to show her man that he's doing it right," she says as she runs her finger over his toned chest. "And you certainly do that."

"Good, I'm glad," he winks back to her. "What's on your plan for the rest of the day?"

"Funny you should ask," she says as she crawls out of bed and grabs her lavender silk robe. "I think we should talk about our wedding."

Jacob laughs back with her. "Oh boy, what have I gotten myself into?"

"It's not bad," Cassie tells him as they leave the bedroom and move to the kitchen, where she pours a couple of cups of coffee. "I just don't want to wait for the day for us to be together."

"So, what are you suggesting?" he asks as he accepts the cup of coffee.

"That we elope," Cassie surprises Jacob with her response. "Let's get married as soon as possible? What do you say?"

The Pink Flamingo at the River Rock Casino

Daisy sits at the bar of the restaurant with a martini in front of her. Her mind is racing over the fact that Meggan told her that if Andrew turns out to be Albertinah's father, she could lose him to Trenyce. She tried to push that out of her mind, but, then, she saw a close moment between Andrew and Trenyce at the hospital, and her insecurities flared up.

She takes a sip of her martini and sighs heavily. "I don't want to lose Andrew," she whispers to herself. "We have been to hell and back dealing with Antonio and that damned Casino; what we have, it's special. I don't want Trenyce to come between us."

She takes another sip of her drink as her mind continues to wonder. "But that won't happen; Trey, she's in love with Chris. But Chris, he's furious with her for sleeping with Andrew; he definitely will not forgive her if Tinah turns out to be Andrew's child, which leads me back to the worry that Andrew and Trey will reconnect if that happens."

She finishes her drink and then arches her eyebrow. "That's it, I have to do something to stop this. I can't lose Andrew. I won't."

MGM Grand Detroit, Detroit Michigan

Natasha opens the door to her hotel suite and moves inside with her suitcase following behind her. She looks around the large room and feels butterflies in her stomach. She lied to Shane that she had a short business trip, but the truth is, she came to Detroit to see if she can uncover something about Shane's past that would have made him snap at Sophie for her finding his high-school yearbook, which listed Shane as Derek Rainer. At first, Shane told Natasha that the editors of the yearbook didn't catch the mistake before the book went to print and Natasha believed him, but the fact that he snapped at Sophie for finding the book in the first place is concerning for her.

"I hate that I lied to you Shane," she whispers to herself. "But I have to find out what is going on with you; our future together might depend on it."

She moves to the minibar and grabs a vodka and pours it into a glass. "Once I'm settled, I'll go to your high school and see what I can uncover. I won't stop until I find out the truth."

Robertson Enterprises

Paige sits in the main office of Robertson Enterprises with her laptop open and she is typing into it. As she works away, she can't help but think about her blossoming relationship with Will; the two had a date recently, which ended in them making love for the first time. When they saw one another after, they both admitted that they enjoyed their night together, and planned to meet again soon. Paige enjoys Will's company, despite him saying that he does still have feelings for Eva. However, with Eva reuniting with Dominick, Paige knows that Will has to move on, and she doesn't see any reason why they can't move on together, especially since she is trying to forget her page with Ethan, whom she married before she knew that they were half-siblings. She is still thanks God that they never slept together because she knows that there would be no coming back from that.

She stands up to get a glass of water, but she puts her hand down on the desk as she, suddenly, feels a little lightheaded. She takes a deep breath and shakes her head.

"I had breakfast today, so why am I feeling lightheaded?" she asks herself. "I…I must be dehydrated. I just need that water and I'll be fine."

She moves to the bar and pours herself some water, drinking it all down before she pours herself another glass of water, hoping that she feels better soon.

The Sugarbowl

Will opens the door to the coffeehouse and moves inside. He just finished a workout and is looking to grab a coffee, but he notices Eva sitting in the back booth by herself, and she doesn't look very happy. He wonders why she looks depressed. He orders his coffee and then moves to the back booth.

"Why are you so glum?" Will asks her as he sits across from her.

Eva looks up at him and forces half a smile on her face. "Is it that obvious?"

Will chuckles back to her. "Maybe for me because I know you so well," he tells her. "Is everything okay? Your children are okay?"

"Donovan is in court today fighting for Olly," Eva admits to him. "I'm heading to the courthouse soon to be with him."

"I had forgotten about that," he shakes his head back to her. "But why do I get the feeling that this is more than just Donovan's custody hearing?"

"You do know me well," she manages a slight chuckle. "I guess things between me and Dominick aren't going as well as I thought they were."

Will arches his eyebrow back. "Why do you say that?"

"Because," Eva looks back at him. "You know what? No, never mind. I don't want to burden you with this."

"You're not burdening me with anything," Will tells her quickly. "I asked you what was wrong, remember?"

Eva sighs and nods back to him. "Dominick told me that he feels like something is missing between us but he doesn't know what," she admits to him. "So this reunion of ours, it might not even work out in the end."

"I'm so sorry," Will grabs her hand and squeezes it. "I know how much you wanted to make this work, Eva."

"It just seems like it's always one step forward and two steps back, you know?"

"I…I still think that this could be a sign of something bigger," he says as their eyes lock. "It's a sign that you and I, we do belong together after all. Don't say anything, but think about it, Eva. With me, you would never have question my feelings or worry about our spark, because it is there, it always has been."

Twin Peaks Law Courts

A hush falls amongst the attendees of the custody case as Judge Franklin Ross makes his way to this bench. Once he sits down, he smashes his mallet and announces the court case to the room. He, then, looks over at Ethan and nods to him.

"Mr. Alexander, please call your first witness in this custody case," the Judge says as Ethan stands up.

"We call Andrew Pherson," Ethan announces as Andrew stands up and moves to the witness stand, where he is sworn in. "Mr. Pherson, can you please explain your relationship to my client."

Andrew nervously chuckles back to him. "It's complicated to say the least, but Abby and I, we were parents together. Only, we believed that our son, Sonny, died at his birth."

"To be clear, you are the biological father of the child in question in this custody case?"

"Yes, that's right," Andrew nods back to him. "Abby and I, we never got to be parents to our son because we were told that he was dead."

"That must have been hard, I'm sorry," Ethan looks back at him.

"Abby and I, we were devastated by the death of our son. It's been a whirlwind knowing that he is alive and was involved in some crazy baby switch," Andrew tells the court.

"You and Abby, you're ready to be parents to your son?" Ethan asks her next.

"We were always ready," Andrew says back to him. "We want our chance to know our son."

"No further questions," Ethan says as he moves back to his seat, and Abby smiles up at Andrew.

"Mr. Pherson," Josh says as he stands up and moves towards the witness stand. "Were you and Abby in a relationship at the time the child was conceived?"

"No, we weren't."

"I see, in fact, Abby plotted to break you and your then girlfriend, Paige, up and succeeded, correct?"

Andrew gulps. "That was a long time ago."

"Once you and Paige had split up, you moved on to a woman named Albertinah, and Abby exposed your relationship at your graduation as she was your teacher, correct?" Josh asks Andrew next, who nods back to him. "It seems like you only slept with Abby to get back at her, is that correct?"

"Objection!" Ethan yells from his chair.

"Overruled, don't speculate Mr. Levitt."

"Abby and I, we were only together once, but that's all it took for us to have our child. The circumstances leading up to that, shouldn't be accounted for," Andrew quickly tells him.

"We are building character here, Mr. Pherson," Josh tells him. "Given the fact that you and Abby were only together once, is it possible that Abby was with someone else at the same time?"

Abby feels the blood drain from her face at the question. "I mean sure, it's possible, but why would Abby lie about me being Sonny's father?"

"That's a very good question," Josh smiles back to him, as Abby looks at Andrew in horror.
