Twin Peaks Law Courts

"You really took it to Andrew," Lukas whispers over to Josh as he sits next to Donovan at one of the front desks in the court room. Lukas recalls how Josh just reminded the court, and Andrew, of all of Abby's antics before they slept together all those years ago, including breaking up him and Paige, exposing Andrew's affair with Albertinah, and questioning whether or not Andrew was Olly's father.

"Yea, Josh, that was amazing," Donovan chuckles to him. "The Judge has to realize what kind of person Abby is now."

"That was my plan," Josh replies to him. "And that's just the start; I will make sure every last one of her past misdeeds are mentioned."

Meanwhile, at Abby and Ethan's table, she let's out a large sigh. "That was awful."

"Not at all was lost," Ethan looks back at her. "Andrew really showed how devastated you and he were when you thought Sonny was dead. That's going to look good for you two."

"I hope so," Abby admits to him. "But what was that at the end of Josh's questioning? Asking Andrew if he thought he was the father?"

"You tell me?" Ethan looks back at her while Abby gulps. "Is Andrew the father?"

Abby's eyes peer into the audience where she sees Max sitting, as he came to support her. "Yes, yes, of course he is," she lies to Ethan. "Andrew is the father of my baby."

"Then we have nothing to worry about."

Before Abby can respond, Franklin Ross smashes his mallet down. "Mr. Alexander, call your next witness please."

Ethan stands up and buttons up his suit jacket. "We call Cheresa Lawson to the stand," he announces as Cheresa stands up and makes her way towards the witness stand.

The Pink Flamingo at the River Rock Casino

Bryce gets a glum look on his face as he listens to the voicemail that he received from Ethan informing him that he that won't represent him in the charges that he has against him in the baby switch. Bryce sighs as he hangs up the phone; he knew that because of Ethan's involvement with Abby, it was a long shot, but he thought that Ethan might consider it considering how close they got after they learned that they were Jeff and Leah's children.

"Was that phone call bad news?" Isabelle asks him as she continues to sit across from him. The two only met earlier in the day, thanks to Frederick arranging the meeting, and they have realized that they have a lot in common.

"I'm facing some legal issues and I asked my brother to help," Bryce reveals to her. "Only, he said no. My own brother won't help me."

"That doesn't seem right," Isabelle tells him back in surprise. "What kind of brother is that?"

"The family dynamic is complicated."

Isabelle chuckles to him. "I can understand that," she says as she moves some hair behind her ear. "No family is perfect, but I do hope that you can find someone else to help you?"

"There are many other lawyers that I can reach out too," he admits to her. As he looks over her shoulder, he sees Victoria paying her bill as she had been there working with Jeff. His father has already departed, and he can tell that Victoria is about to leave as well. "I'm really glad that we met and are hitting it off, Isabelle. I have to admit that I needed to be in the company of a beautiful woman today."

Isabelle's cheeks flush back to him. "That's kind of you to say," she tells him. "But I am also glad; my romantic life has been non-existent lately, so flattery from a good looking man like yourself, is appreciated."

Just then, Victoria looks over at Bryce and Isabelle's table. She locks eyes with her estranged husband, who then leans across the table and kisses Isabelle. Victoria rolls her eyes and leaves the restaurant.

Meanwhile, Bryce and Isabelle's lips part ways. "Sorry if that was too bold," Bryce tells her. "I…I don't know what came over me."

"It's all good," Isabelle purses her lips together. "I don't mind that at all."

D.S. Mackenzie High School, Detroit, Michigan

Natasha opens the door to the high school in Detroit and moves inside. She travelled to Michigan in hopes of finding out more about Shane's past, since she felt like it was odd that his name in the yearbook was Derek Rainer, and he snapped at Sophie for bringing out the yearbook in the first place. While Shane's explanations have made sense, something in the pit of her stomach is telling her that she needs to keep looking into this.

She moves closer to a display cabinet just outside the main offices and sees pictures of past, and current, sport champions that the high school has had grace their halls. She sees a picture of the football team, the Hawks, and smiles as she recalls how she was a cheerleader in high school. She sees another black and white picture of the football team and gasps.

"That's…Shane…" she says as she looks at the younger image of her fiancé. "But the headline…what the hell is going on?"

She asks as she reads the headline under the picture. "QB Derek Rainer Secures Playoff Spot".

"May I help you?" a voice calls out from behind Natasha.

Natasha turns around and sees one of the school secretaries behind her. "Yes, yes you can, or at least, I hope you can."

Twin Peaks General Hospital

Chris paces back and forth in one of the waiting rooms of the hospital while Trenyce sits in a chair. They are waiting for Albertinah's DNA test, which is happening later in the day. Just then, Daisy appears at the entrance way and moves back inside. She was at the hospital but she needed an escape because she continues to be worried about losing Andrew if he turns out the father.

"Is Andrew back yet?" Daisy asks her niece and estranged husband.

"Not yet," Chris replies to her. "I hope he's not too much longer because the test is scheduled shortly."

"I'm here," Andrew announces as he moves into the waiting room. "The trial, it was intense, but I'm here."

"I can't imagine how Donovan, Lukas, and Abby are feeling," Trenyce replies to him as she looks over at Chris. "Nobody should have to fight for their child."

"I'll have to head back to court after the DNA test," Andrew reveals to her. "I want to be there for Abby to see if she gets custody of Sonny."

"Look at you spreading your seed all around this town," Chris huffs. "First Abby, and maybe now, Tinah."

"Chris, this isn't the time," Daisy cuts him off. "We all want the same thing, the truth. So cut it out."

Chris puts his hands up in defeat. "Sorry about that," Daisy grabs his hand.

"It's okay," Andrew replies to her. "You're right, we just want the truth, and that's what we will get today, finally; the truth will come out today."

The Sugarbowl

"I know what I just said was a lot," Will tells Eva as they continue to face one another in the back booth of the coffeehouse. Eva just admitted to Will that Dominick told her that he feels like something is missing between them, despite their reunion. Will, in turn, told her that maybe it was a sign that they could be together after all. "But what do you think, Eva?"

"My head is spinning," she admits to him as she looks back over at him. "I know that you care about me, Will, and I appreciate that about you, more than you know. But…my heart is with Dominick, and I just feel like I should do everything in my power to make it right with him."

"How may times does that son of a bitch need to hurt you before you will open your eyes to how he treats you?" Will asks her as she looks back at him in surprise. "He keeps doing this merry-go-round with you, Eva. When wil youl get off the ride?"

"I…I don't know what to tell you."

"You know that I would treat you like a princess," Will tells her quickly. "Why isn't that enough for you?"

"You are enough," Eva looks at him immediately. "You always have been, Will."

"Then give us a try?" Will asks her as he leans across the table and kisses her on the lips. "Give us a chance to shine?"

She kisses him back and as their lips part, he grabs her hand, indicating that he wants to take her back to his place.

Robertson Enterprises

Paige sits on the sofa in the main office of Robertson Enterprises. She is trying to focus on the report on her laptop screen, but she continues to feel flushed and faint. Earlier, she went to get a glass of water, and she had to stop herself from collapsing. Since, she moved to the sofa, but the symptoms are increasing.

"What the heck is wrong with me?" she whispers to herself as she moves her laptop and then grabs her glass of water, which she drinks more of. "This isn't normal for me; I…I wonder if I am coming down with a flu bug or something?"

She sets her water glass down and feels the blood drain from her face when she realizes something else. "No, it can't be," she says as she grabs her phone from her purse. She opens the calendar on her phone and counts the days. "Oh my God….I'm late."

She sets the phone down and covers her mouth in shock as she realizes that she and Will made love recently, and they didn't use protection. "Could…I…be…pregnant?"

Twin Peaks Law Courts

Cheresa tries to get comfortable in the hard, wooden witness stand after she is sworn in. She looks over at her sister, Abby, who has tears in her eyes. She knows that Abby is counting on her to help her get custody of the son that she thought was dead, but if Cheresa is honest with herself, she is dreading this process.

"Ms. Lawson," Ethan stands up from his chair and moves closer to the witness stand. "How could you describe your sister, Abby Lawson?"

Cheresa smiles at the question. "Abby…she's the best," Cheresa chuckles as Abby smiles back to her. "She's loyal to a fault, she's driven and determined, she can sometimes get in her own way, but she has the heart of gold; she never means to do wrong. She's the best."

"It sounds like you and Abby are close?"

"We are," Cheresa nods back to Ethan. "We are the only members of our family left in town, so yea, we are close."

"Can you explain to me and the court how Abby's demeanor changed when she believed that Sonny, her child, was dead?"

Cheresa puts her head down for a moment and tries not to get choked up. "She was a shadow of her normal self," Cheresa whispers to the court. "She was depressed, she was crying all the time; she couldn't understand how she could carry a child for nine months only for him to die. It was the darkest period of her life."

"How do you think this should turn out, Cheresa? This is a complicated case," Ethan asks her next.

"It is complicated," Cheresa nods back to him before she looks at Lukas and Donovan. "You two, you've been there for Sonny for years; no one can take that away from you, but the truth is, Abby was told her baby was dead! That is cruel, and she should have her child back. I think that is the only right, and fair, thing to do."

Donovan holds Lukas down as he wants to stand up and protest. Lukas looks at Donovan, and he is able to nod and calm Lukas down, who picks up his glass of water.

"Thank you, Cheresa, no further questions."

"Ms. Lawson," Josh stands up from his chair and looks at the witness. "You said earlier that you and Abby are the only members of your family left in town. Why is that?"

Cheresa gulps back to him. "Well, my Dad, he left town as he got another job."

"And your mother? It also says here that you have a brother? Where are they?" Josh asks her next. "Surely they should be here to support Abby throughout all of this?"

"They are dead," Cheresa reveals to the court. "Brad, my brother, was killed by a serial killer years ago. And my mother, she's also dead."

"I'm sorry to hear that," Josh replies to her. "How did your mother die?"

Cheresa looks over at Abby, who grabs Ethan's hand in support. "My mother was mentally ill," Cheresa tells him. "She was revealed to be the serial killer that took Brad's life; she was about to kill my father, when Abby interjected and stabbed her."

"So you're saying, the sister that you just said had a heart of gold, killed your own mother?"

"It was self-defense!"

"After Abby stabbed and killed your mother, did she not let your father take the wrap for it? He was arrested, wasn't he?" Josh asks next.

"Yes, but it's because Abby…"

"No further questions your honor."

"Redirect?" Ethan stands up and looks at Cheresa. "Finish your sentence, Cheresa. Why did Abby allow your father to take the murder charge?"

"She blocked it out," Cheresa tells him and looks up at Franklin. "Once she remembered, she was sentenced to community service, because it was an accident."

"No further questions," Ethan says as Abby breathes a sigh of relief. She turns and sees Max looking at her. He gives her a nod of approval, thinking that the case is going well.

"This has to work," Abby whispers to Ethan. "I can't lose Sonny all over again…"
