The Cascade Apartments; Chantel's Apartment

Cheresa stands in the corner of Chantel's apartment while Simona, and two other police officers, look around the scene. Cheresa came to the apartment hoping to find her former lover as earlier, she and Dawn discovered that Chantel hadn't shown up to her shifts at the hospital multiple times and hadn't given the hospital notice or an explanation. Worried that something was wrong, Cheresa came to see Chantel, but found the apartment ransacked. While looking around, Cheresa found a blood stain on the carpet, which is when Cheresa contacted the police.

"What did you find?" Cheresa's lower lip trembles as Simona approaches her.

The detective looks back at Cheresa as she puts her flashlight in her back pocket. "First, thanks for calling us," Simona replies to her quickly. "This certainly looks like a crime scene and my detective's and I, we are very concerned."

"So, I am not the only one worried about what happened here?"

"No," Simona looks back at her. "You said you used a key to get into the apartment right? And you didn't touch anything?"

"That's right," Cheresa nods back to her. "Chantel gave me a key a while back, when she didn't answer the door, I used the key. And the only thing I touched was a pillow, that's when I saw that large blood stain."

"Upon further review, it looks like the door had been broken into before," Simona reveals to her. "You could have gotten in without the use of the key."

Cheresa arches her eyebrow back to her. "What does that mean?"

"Well, it suggests a forced entry," Simona tells her. "And considering the state of the apartment, and the blood, I'd think whoever broke in here, had a struggle, likely with Chantel."

"The blood," Cheresa feels her hands start to shake. "Do you think it is Chantel's?"

"Without doing testing, yes," Simona admits to her. "And if that's the case, then I fear that Chantel might have been killed," she says as Cheresa feels the blood drain from her face.

The Pink Flamingo at the River Rock Casino

Isabelle sits at the bar in the restaurant with a whiskey sour in front of her. She slowly stirs the drink before she takes a hearty sip of it. She recalls how a few days earlier, she met Bryce at the restaurant; they hit it off, and they ended up having sex in her office. Since then, however, she hasn't heard from him. Earlier, she saw Bryce talking to Victoria and happened to overhear him tell her that he slept with Isabelle and he won't wait around for Victoria forever.

"It's almost like he wanted to make her jealous or upset," she whispers to herself before she takes another sip of her drink. "Was that all I was? Just a way to make his wife realize what she had lost? God, how can I be so stupid?"

"Hey, there's the beautiful woman that has caught my attention," Bryce smirks as he moves up to the bar, having seen Isabelle sitting alone. "How are you?"

Isabelle sets her glass down on the bar before she looks back at Bryce. "Have I really caught your attention?"

Bryce sits next to her and arches his eyebrow back to her. "Didn't I prove that to you the other day?"

"Yea, so much that I haven't heard from you since," Isabelle chuckles to him. "It's fine to say you wanted an one night stand, Bryce."

"That's not what I want, not in the least."

"Really?" Isabelle looks back at him with intent. "Let me ask you this question: if your wife came waltzing in here right now and told you that she wanted you back, would you go back to her?"

"I…"

"Let me put it in simpler terms: did you use me, did you only have sex with me, to make your wife jealous? Was I way to try to get her back in your life?"

At one of the back tables of the restaurant, Max and Cassie sit across from one another. Max just finished filling his mother in on the latest from the custody case, which had Abby reveal that he, not Andrew, is Sonny's biological father. The revelation caused Abby to go into labour, which means the court case is in recess, and everyone is left picking up the pieces. Andrew and Max visited Abby and demanded to know if this is the truth, which she said it was.

"I can't believe that Abby has been deceiving everyone for all these years," Cassie takes a sip of her Bloody Mary before she looks back at her son. "How are you feeling knowing that you're a father?"

"I don't know," Max admits to her. "This is all so overwhelming. I didn't know I was a father, yet alone to a toddler."

"It is just horrific to think that this is happening," Cassie says back to him. "But you are a father now, Max, you have to step up."

"I know," Max sighs to her. "The fact that Abby has lied to me for years, it proves, to me, that she isn't fit to be a mother. And, Donovan and Lukas, they aren't Sonny's biological father's; had I know that this was my kid, I would have wanted him in my life."

"What does that mean?" Cassie asks him. "What are you going to do?"

"I, uh," he gulps back to her. "I think I'm going to try to get custody of my son," Max reveals to her as Cassie gasps back to him. "I want my son, Mom."

"Oh Max," Cassie moves around and hugs him. "I was hoping you'd say that. You know you my support, and Jacob's, since he is my husband now."

"I still can't believe that you married him," Max chuckles back to her. "But thanks Mom, I appreciate your support in this."

Kim sits alone at a table with a glass of white wine in front of her. She is trying to take her mind off of the fact that she has, once again, filed for divorce from Robbie because she can't get over the fact that he slept with Madeline on New Year's Eve; once Kim learned the truth, which she only did because Madeline pressed Robbie's hand, she left and ended up at the cabin, where Madeline was taking some time for herself. A fight broke out, and Kim left the cabin in a snowstorm, but she realized the driving conditions were too dire, so she turned around, only to crash into Madeline's car, who was trying to ensure Kim was safe. The crash caused Kim to miscarry, and Kim thinks that Robbie is at fault.

"One day, I will get past this loss, but right now, it is too real," she whispers to herself as she takes a sip of her wine. "The fact is, I lost Blake, and this is my second miscarriage; I…I don't feel like I am meant to be a mother, which is something I want more than anything else in the world."

"There is still time for that," Robbie says as he moves up to her table, having heard the tale end of her speech. "You're still a young, vibrant woman, Kim. You can be a mother."

She looks back at Robbie as he sits across from her. "You're eavesdropping on me now?"

"Sorry, I didn't mean too," he tells her. "I was just grabbing some takeout before I headed back to Roboto and saw you. I just happened to hear you saying that you wanted to be a mother."

"I don't think I can put myself through that again," she admits to him. "I've had too much loss, Robbie. I can't…my heart can't bare another heartbreak."

Robbie reaches over and grabs her hand. At first, Kim flinches at his touch, but soon, she finds herself enjoying it. "You aren't alone," he whispers to her. "I'm right here, Kim, and I still believe that together, we can get through anything."

Kim pulls her hand away from Robbie. "No, not this time," she says as a tear falls down her cheek. "You've hurt me for the last time, Robbie. My heart, I'm so done. We are over, and you have to accept that, please, just leave me alone."

Before Robbie can respond, Kim stands up and rushes away from him, leaving Robbie alone, realizing that Kim has been through more hurt than he realized.

Dominick's Townhouse

The air in the living room of Dominick's townhouse is filled with tension as a short time ago, he revealed to his family that Felicia is alive and he wants them to get her back in their lives. Just after he made the reveal, Stephanie showed up to do a check-up on Dominick, so they are upstairs doing her medical check-up, while the family reels from the announcement.

Tyler looks at his phone and sighs when he hasn't had another new notification from Madeline. While he is stunned by the reveal about Felicia, while he is waiting for Dominick, he can't help but wonder about Madeline and where she has disappeared too. He knows that he had a thought about hiring a PI to track her down, and now, he realizes that he must do just that.

He moves to the corner of the living room and puts his phone to his ear. "Hi, yes, this is Tyler Robertson," he says into his phone. "And I'd like to hire a private investigator," he continues. "Why? Oh, to track down someone."

He listens to the other side of the call before he nods to them. "Yes, Dr. Madeline Wilkins," he tells them. "I want you to find out where she went as soon as possible."

Meanwhile by the bar, Jeff, Leah, Paige stand next to Ethan, who just arrived and learned about Felicia being alive and well.

"I…I don't know what to say," Ethan admits in surprise to his family. "I can't believe that Felicia is alive; I…I never thought that I would get to meet my grandmother."

"We still don't know all the details," Leah replies to him. "But this the best news possible. Once Dominick gets back, we can get more details."

"And while we wait," Jeff looks over at is son. "How is our granddaughter and Abby?"

"Both are good," Ethan nods back to him. "We named her Georgina; she is so precious and cute. Abby, she's resting, but dealing with a lot."

"I heard that Max, and not Andrew, is Sonny's father," Paige declares to her half-brother. "You have to know that Abby, she schemed to break me and Andrew up when we were together; she was obsessed with him, to the point of lying about the father of her child."

"She's made mistakes, we all know that," Ethan replies to her quickly.

"This has to make you realize that Abby is bad news," Leah looks at her son with intent. "You need to get custody of Georgina and get away from that woman; the sooner, the better, because if you stay with her, Ethan, my God, she will only hurt you."

Twin Peaks General Hospital

"I can't believe how adorable Georgina is," Cheresa tells Abby as she sits next to her sister in her hospital room, having just seen her new niece. After hearing from Simona that she thinks that Chantel might be dead, Cheresa needed to see a friendly face, so she came to see her sister and her new baby.

"I know," Abby gushes about her daughter. "I can't believe how lucky I am. Now, I just had to deal with the mess that is my custody case."

"I heard about your reveal Abs," Cheresa sighs back to her. "That can't help your case; what were you thinking?"

"I…I wasn't," Abby admits to her. "The fact of the matter is, I wanted Andrew and I thought that by having his child, he could come to me. I…I just didn't see the point in telling the truth once we thought Sonny died."

"I know, but you have to know how this looks," Cheresa tells her sister. "And to think, Andrew mourned a child that wasn't his, and Max, my God, he must be reeling."

"They are both furious with me," Abby tells her sister. "So, tell me, Cheresa, how do I make this right? I…I want to do right by this; Max, he's my friend, and Andrew, he has always been there for me."

"I don't have that answer for you," Cheresa admits to her sister. "But this will impact your case, whether you like it or not; but, Abs, you're going to have to fight in court, because this was a huge setback, and that's the truth of the matter."
