The Tower's; The Penthouse;
Cory's Home
Cory looks back at Penny, who licks her lips softly. She
just kissed him and told him that she missed being close to him; he knows that
they had become lovers while he was on her farm, but since they have been back
in Twin Peaks, they have just been friends as he has been getting his life back.
Of course, then, Penny was involved in her accident, which left her blinded, and
Cory has been taking care of her as he feels guilty about his role in her going
blind. In his mind, had he never come into Penny's life, Gordy wouldn't have snapped,
and wouldn't have taken her hostage at the cabin. "Penny, wow, that
was
" he manages to say back to her. "You had forgotten
how well our lips feel together, hadn't you?" Penny smiles back to him. "I
know it had felt like too long for me too." "It's just
"
begins to replies to her, realizing that he can't tell her that he and Robin made
love recently because he doesn't want to hurt her, or do anything that will hurt
her chances at recovery. "I wasn't expecting you to do that." "Are
you complaining?" "It's not that," Cory shakes his head
back to her. "I
I just think you, we, should be focused on your recovery.
I don't want anything to prevent you from getting better, Penny." Before
Penny can respond, the doorbell rings. Cory stands up and moves to the front door,
where he sees Robin standing on the other side. "Robin, this is a
surprise, come in," Cory says, as Penny arches her eyebrow from the sofa.
"I know sorry," Robin scurries into the living room. "I was
with my family, I can tell you more about that later, but they were going out
on a mission, and I thought I'd stop by with some lunch." "That
was nice of you," Cory tells her. "How does that sound Penny?"
"Fantastic, I am bit peckish." "Great, I'll get some
plates and we can catch up," Robin smiles, unaware of the conversation that
she walked in on between Cory and Penny. Roboto Robbie
sits on one of the two sofas that is in the main office of Roboto with his laptop
on his lap as he is reading some recent financial reports from the company. His
mind, however, is thinking about how Kim has filed for divorce from him. He hates
that his insecurities about Kim's relationship with Tyler pushed him back into
Madeline's arms on New Year's Eve. He wasn't going to tell Kim about the affair,
but Madeline told him that if he didn't tell the truth, she would, so he confessed
to a gutted Kim. That resulted in Kim rushing out into the snowstorm, where she
crashed her car into Madeline's, which resulted in another miscarriage. He knows
that Kim has been through so much loss already, having lost Blake and their last
baby, so he knows that this most recent loss is another gut punch for her.
"If only I hadn't been insecure about Tyler," he sighs as he puts
his laptop down. "I wouldn't have turned to Madeline and none of this would
have happened." He stands up and moves to the bar and pours himself
a scotch. "There must be a way for me to make this up to Kim," he tells
himself. "The last thing I want is for my marriage to be over; I love her
more than anything else in the world." He takes a long sip of the
drink and feels the slow burn go down his throat. "But how am I going to
make her see how sorry I am that I want to work through this with her? How can
I save my marriage?" The Calimo Mansion "Thanks
for having me for some lunch," Max tells Sophie as they sit at the dining
room table of the Calimo mansion with a light spread in front of them. Max had
been at the coffeehouse when he got a text from his girlfriend asking him to come
meet her, which he did. "We both had to eat, and thought we could
do it together," she looks at him before she takes a sip of her lemonade.
"Besides, I thought it could give us a chance to talk." "So
much has happened lately," Max takes a bit of his rose penne before he looks
back at Sophie. "I know I laid a bombshell on you the other day about Sonny
and Abby." Sophie chuckles back to him. "You can say that again,"
she admits to him. "But I am worried about you, Max; you're the one that
that found out you're a father after all these years. Did it ever cross your mind
that you could have been the father of her baby?" Max sighs back
to her as he sets his fork down. "Of course," he nods back to her. "When
she first told me she was pregnant, I thought I was the father. That's when she
had that paternity test completed, but she told me that Andrew was the father;
Abby and I, we were friends, I never thought that she would lie about something
like this." "I'm
I am sorry," Sophie looks back at
him. "It is the most horrific thing anyone could lie to you about. What are
your next steps? What does this mean for you and I?" Max gulps back
to her. "I don't know where we go from here," he admits to her. "I've
decided to try to get custody of my son, Sophie. I've missed all this time with
him, I don't want to miss another day of his life. So, my only focus is my son
and getting him back; everything else, it has to take a backseat for the time
being." ***
Meanwhile, in the living room, Cassie pours
herself a gin and tonic before she looks back at Jacob; she just told her husband
about Abby's revelation that Max, not Andrew, is Sonny's biological father. The
last time she saw Max, he did tell her that he wanted to try to get his son away
from Abby, which thrilled her. "This is wild to me," Jacob tells
his wife. "Abby lied to Max and Andrew for years about the paternity of her
son, whom they all thought was dead?" "I know," Cassie
takes a sip of her drink. "I never trusted that woman, and now, I know why.
Andrew, my God, he mourned a child that wasn't his, and Max, he has missed years
of his son's life." "Not to mention that Donovan and Lukas have
been raising a child that shouldn't have been adopted to them in the first place,"
Jacob sighs to her. "Max must be reeling?" "He is, but
he is a good man," Cassie tells him. "The fact is, Max wants to get
custody of that little boy; and I want him to support in that." Jacob
moves up to Cassie and grabs her hand. "I know that you are passionate about
your kids, and it is one of things that I love about you
" Cassie
chuckles back to him. "Why do I get the feeling that there is a but coming?"
"But," he winks back to her. "I need you to stay calm in this
situation. Don't do anything crazy, Cassie." "Me?" Cassie
gasps back to him. "Why do you think I would do anything crazy?"
"I know you," he tells her. "Just let Max handle this, try
not to get too involved, okay?" "I'll do my best," Cassie
takes a sip of her gin and tonic. "But I will do whatever I can to do to
help Max with this. Abby will pay for lying to all of us for all these years."
The Pink Flamingo at the River Rock Casino Meggan sits at the
bar with a dirty martini in front of her. She is at the bar drinking so she could
give Donovan and Lukas some time alone to discuss their trial, since she knows
it was a bombshell when Abby revealed that Max, not Andrew, was Olly's biological
father. She has no idea what will happen next, but she knows that this has to
be considered a victory for her brother and his husband as they fight for their
son. As she takes a sip of her drink, she happens to see Victoria sitting
at a table by herself looking at some work files. She can't help but remember
a few nights earlier; she thinks back to how she went to Robertson Enterprises
to talk to Jeff about Logan. As she approached the main office, however, she heard
Leah and Tyler talking about some investigation into some missing funds. Meggan,
of course, was drunk at the time, so she didn't really understand everything that
they were talking about, but she does remember Leah saying that she thought Victoria
was behind it. "You look busy," Meggan grins as she sits across
from Victoria, holding her martini in her hand. "Uh, I am,"
Victoria replies to her. "What do I owe the pleasure of this visit?"
"I was drinking this lovely martini and saw you," Meggan replies
to her. "I have information that you probably want to hear." Victoria
arches her eyebrow back to her. "And what would that be?" "Leah
and Tyler," Meggan looks back at her. "They are investigating you, Victoria.
I don't know all the details, but they are out to get you." Victoria
chuckles back to her. "I'm sure they are, Meggan," she says, realizing
that Meggan is, once again, drunk, and not making much sense. "Thank you
for the information, now if you'll excuse me, I have a lot of work to do."
"Sure," Meggan stands up from the chair. "But don't say I didn't
warn you when Leah and Tyler come gunning for you Vicki." Victoria
watches her move back to the bar. She sighs heavily, wondering what Meggan is
talking about, or if she should just chalk it up to her being drunk. "I know
there is an investigation into the missing money, but what else could they do?"
she whispers to herself. "I covered my tracks; there is nothing Leah or Tyler
or anyone can do to me, I've made sure of it." The Victors Mansion
"I'm
beginning to feel like this is hopeless," Jeff sighs to the Robertson's as
they all continue to try to find a way to open the door to the secret tunnels
in the Victors mansion. Jeff arrived a short time ago after Leah filled him in
on why they were at the mansion. He wanted to help Leah try to find her mother
since he knows how devastated she has been since she thought Felicia had died.
"Where could this opening be?" "We can not give up,"
Dominick turns to face him. "We have to find Felicia, there is no other option
here." "My father is right," Leah looks back at Jeff. "There
must be something in this room that will trigger the door to open." "Wait,
look at this," Tyler says as he points to one of the bookshelves opening
on it's own. "I think we found the secret door. Before anyone can
say anything else, Frederick pushes Felicia out in a wheelchair and Bryce is behind
them. "Correction Leah, I am your father, and hello everyone," he smiles
to everyone. "We've been expecting you; all of us have been expecting you."
"Noah?" a shocked Leah asks Bryce as Jeff comes up next to her.
"What the hell are you doing here? Why are you with Frederick and Felicia?
What is going on here?" Next on One Day at a Time -
