The Claus House; Jeff, Leah,
& Paige's Home
Leah moves up to the fireplace mantel in the living
room of the house that she has lived in for years with Jeff and Paige. She picks
up a picture of her, Jeff, and Paige and feels her heart break inside her chest.
She can't believe that Victoria admitted to her, and the entire Robertson family,
that she and Jeff have been sleeping together for months. "We were
so happy that day, weren't we?" Jeff asks as he moves into the living room
as Leah puts the picture frame back down on the mantel. She turns and
moves to the bar to pour herself a scotch. She takes a sip of it. "Look,
I get that you're pissed at me," Jeff sighs back to her. "But giving
me the silent treatment, it's not going to solve anything, is it?" "What
do you want me to say, exactly?" Leah asks him without turning to look at
him. "You've been sleeping with the woman who has been out to get me for
months; you've been lying to me about it for months, and the entire truth was
exposed in the most public of fashions! So, again, what do you want me to say?"
Jeff shrugs back at her. "I don't know," he admits to her. "All
I now Leah, is that nothing will get settled without us talking about it."
Leah turns to him and faces him, finally. "Okay, fine. What do you want,
Jeff? Are you here because you want us to try to patch things up? Are you here
to ask for forgiveness?" "No, I don't think I am," Jeff
admits to her. "I
I've grown to like my time with Victoria, and if I
am honest with you, I
I think I might have a future with her," he reveals
to her as Leah's mouth opens in shock and awe. Robertson Enterprises
Donovan sits at his desk at Robertson Enterprises. He is looking at some of
the early figures for RELax launch and he is so impressed. He can't wait to share
the good news with Trenyce, who has been in the hospital following being attacked
by Dawn, because she was a key player in the success of the designing of some
of the products. "Trey is going to be over the moon with these numbers,"
Donovan smirks to himself as he closes the file. "And thank God she will
make a full recovery. We all would have been a mess if anything more serious had
happened to her." He looks at his phone and opens it. He goes to
his photos and looks at a picture of him and Sergio from a few weeks earlier.
He runs his hand over Sergio's face and smiles at the sight. "Trenyce's
experience has made me realize that I have to do whatever I can to make things
right between us," he whispers to himself. He knows that Sergio is still
upset with him because he learned that Donovan and Lukas slept together during
the custody case; the truth is, Lukas and Donovan just got caught up in the moment
of having a successful moment in court, but Donovan understands that Sergio is
upset because Donovan didn't tell him right away. "I think I have an idea
on how I can start by making things right." He dials a number into
his phone. "It's Donovan Moretti calling," he says when someone answers.
"I need your help with a surprise for someone very special," he explains
as he gets a grin on his face. ***
Meanwhile, in the CEO's
office, Robin sits on one of the sofa's and is looking at her phone. She, like
Donovan, is thrilled by how well the launch went. She knows that she has been
a part of many launches that haven't been nearly as successful, so she is thrilled
that this one went off, mostly, without a hitch. She can't help but wonder how
Leah is handling the fact that Jeff and Victoria have been sleeping together.
She opens her phone and finds herself sending her half-sister a message. "Thinking
about you; let me know what I can do to help. Love you, xo." She
knows that the message will probably fall on deaf ears, but she knows that she
has to, at least, let Leah know that she is there for her. She sighs to
herself realizing that she, should, reach out to Cory as well. While she has told
him that she needs time to get over his betrayal with Penny, she knows that he
has been going through a difficult time with Sophie's ordeal at the cabin, and
her miscarriage. She finds herself dialing his number. "Voicemail,"
she sighs to herself as she listens to his greeting. "Cory
it's me
I
I
just wanted to reach out and see how you're doing; I
I heard about Sophie
and hope that she, and you, are doing okay. Alright
that
.that was
all
" She hangs up the phone and shakes her head. "That
was a terrible message," she says, questioning whether or not she should
have even bothered. The Riverside Delicatessen
"You
know, I haven't been here in ages," Cassie tells Jacob as they sit across
from one another in the delicatessen. Cassie has ordered herself a black forest
ham and swiss sandwich while Jacob has a corned beef and dill pickles sandwich.
"For a while, I thought maybe they went under." "Based
on the renovations, I'd say they took some time to revamp the space and the menu,"
Jacob replies to her before he takes a bite of the sandwich. "But to be honest,
they still have the best sandwiches in town." Cassie chuckles back
to him. "I am not sure about the pickles on yours, but I will take your word
for it." "You don't want a pickle?" Jacob asks her playfully
as he pulls one of the pickles out from his sandwich and tries to feed it to her.
Cassie giggles back to him. "You know I only liked pickles when I was
pregnant with our son," she tells him. "I know," Jacob
nods back to her. "I wish I had been around more when you were pregnant."
Cassie shrugs back to him. "That was a difficult time for me," she
admits to him. "I had my mental break and tried to kill you, and Paige,"
she recounts their ordeal in Banff, Canada. "That seems like a lifetime ago."
"That's because it was," Jacob tells her. "And you're a different
woman now. You took the time to get better, and now, we are a beautiful family."
"That we are," she says as she leans over and kisses him on the
lips. They part lips when they hear the door open and they happen to see
Stephanie standing there, who has just come in for lunch. Stephanie sighs heavily
and rolls her eyes at the sight before she quickly moves up to the cashier to
place her order. "I wish there was some place in this damn town I
could escape them," Stephanie whispers to herself after she places her order,
before she can't help herself and look back at the happy couple. It makes her
blood boil seeing Jacob and Cassie so happy as she knows that Cassie is a backstabbing
bitch; Stephanie hates that she is threatening to expose her transition to keep
Jacob. "If only he knew
if only
" The Richardson
Estate; Meggan, Donovan, & Logan's Home
Logan moves to the bar
in the lavish living room of his family home and pours a double vodka soda. He
takes a hearty sip of it and shakes his head at the taste of the double. The last
couple of weeks he had been trying to cut back on how much alcohol he has been
consuming, but today is a day that he has felt like he needed a drink. He is still
reeling from the fact that Sophie was pregnant with his child when she fell at
the cabin; the time that she spent outside caused her to lose the baby. The deepest
issue, in his mind, is that Sophie left the cabin because of Meggan's drinking.
Had Meggan not been drinking so heavily, Sophie wouldn't have left and she wouldn't
have lost the baby. "It's early to have a drink in your hand,"
Logan's mother announces as she moves into the living room and sees her son at
the bar. "That's rich coming from you," Logan turns to face
Meggan. "It's late for you not to have a drink in your hand." Meggan
sighs back to him. "I wish that you would understand that I don't have a
problem with alcohol," she reminds him of their last conversation. "Do
I like to drink, yes, by all means, but a problem
?" "The
last time you were drinking," Logan glares back at her with intent. "You
ran over Noah and thought you killed him. That made you get sober, remember?"
"How could I forget?" Meggan huffs back to him. "The fact that
Frederick faked Bryce's death to help me get sober is sick and twisted."
"But it worked," Logan replies to her. "You were sober for
years!" "Yes, and then I learned about my father's deception!
Don't educate me on my own past, Logan. I know what I've been through!"
"Then this ordeal should help you get sober," Logan spits back at
her. "Because my child is dead because of you! So please, mother, book yourself
into Betty Ford any day now, because we both know that you need it!"
The Calimo Mansion Max moves up to the door that leads into
Sophie's bedroom. In his hands he is holding a bouquet of flowers as he wants
to show he that he is sorry for the ordeal that she went through at the Calimo
cabin. Still, he can't help but recall how he overheard Stephanie reveal to a
nurse that Sophie miscarried, which means, that she was pregnant with another's
man. "Come in," he can hear after he knocks on her door, so
he opens the door and enters the bedroom. "Max, hi." Sophie says as
she leans up on her bed. "Hey," he replies to her as he passes
her the flowers. "These are for you." "Awe, thank you,"
she stands up and collects the flowers from him. "They are beautiful, thank
you." "Of course, I thought it was the least I could do after
I heard what happened. How are you feeling?" "I am okay,"
she sighs back to him. "I will get there one day." Max uneasily
nods back to her as she places the flowers on her desk. "I
I know, Sophie.
You don't have to beat around the bush with me." Sophie turns back
to him with an arched eyebrow. "What do you mean?" "I know,"
he replies to her again. "About the baby, I mean. I am sorry that you lost
your child." "Oh." "I also know that I couldn't
have been the father." "Max
" "You don't
owe me any explanations," he quickly tells her. "We weren't ever that
serious, I guess." "It's not that at all," Sophie replies
to him quickly. "I was drunk at the time and it
it just happened. I
I
really liked you, you know that." "And I liked you too,"
he tells her. "I know that I was busy trying to get custody of my son but
I thought
well, it doesn't matter." "I am so sorry, Max."
"Can I ask you something?" "Sure?" "Who
was the father? Who was going to be the Dad to your baby?" he asks her quickly.
Sophie gulps heavily back to him. "Logan," she admits to him. "We
are friends, nothing more, Max." "Obviously that's not true,"
Max replies to her. "Look, I wanted to come make sure that you were okay
and to give you the flowers, and I've done, so
so I'm going to go. But I
hope that you get better soon, Sophie. I really mean that." "Thank
you," Sophie says as she feels her eyes swell with water. The last thing
she ever wanted to do was hurt Max, and she can tell that she has done that. She
just hopes that, one day, he will be able to forgive her. The Pink
Flamingo at the River Rock Casino "Maybe now you will understand
why I have been pressing you to have no interest in that woman," Frederick
nervously chuckles over to Bryce as they sit across from one another in the restaurant
with some drinks on the table. Bryce has just filled his grandfather in on the
fact that Victoria, Bryce's former wife, and Jeff, Bryce's father, are sleeping
together. Frederick, for months, had been telling Bryce to find another woman
and to let Victoria go; for a brief moment, Frederick thought that Bryce had moved
on with Isabelle, but she ended up leaving town. "I just can't wrap
my head around the fact that my father is sleeping with my wife," Bryce sighs
back to him. "This all seems surreal to me." "That woman
is a piece of trash," Frederick replies to him quickly. "You can do
much better, Bryce." "That might be true, but it doesn't take
away that this hurts like hell." "In time you will get over
this and you will see that this was for the best," Frederick replies to him.
"You're a young, vital, attractive man, you could have any woman you wanted."
Bryce shakes his head back to him as he realizes that Frederick isn't really
listening to how he is feeling. The fact is, he had been trying to get Victoria
back for months, and the entire time she was sleeping with his father. On top
of that, Bryce is wondering why he was even trying to help his family if this
is the type of behaviour that goes on. He knows that he helped Dominick and Leah
get Felicia away from Frederick; he hasn't heard of where they are, but he wonders
if helping them was the right thing to do after all. "I guess you're
right," Bryce finally replies to him. "This is all so twisted."
"Ah, excuse me for a moment, I need to take this call," Frederick
tells him as his phone starts to ring, and he leaves the table and moves to a
more private area. "Frederick Richardson," he says into his
phone. "Oh really? That's interesting, thank you for the update. I'll be
in touch." He hangs up the phone and gets a grin on his. "Dominick
took Felicia to Italy," he whispers to himself. "Now the question is,
where in Italy did they go?" The Claus House; Jeff, Leah, &
Paige's Home "You want to have a future with Victoria?"
a shocked Leah gasps back at him. "What the hell are you even talking about?
Where is this coming from?" "Come on, Leah," Jeff shrugs
back to her. "You know damn well that we haven't been close in months. Between
your hatred for Victoria and always working with your family to help Felicia,
we have barely spent any time together, yet alone have sex." "And
so you turned to Victoria, of all people? You couldn't have talked to me about
it?" "I don't know what to say," Jeff tells her. "I
never meant for any of this to happen, but it did, and now here we are."
Leah slaps him hard across the face. "That's for sleeping with another
woman behind my back," she spits at him. "I
I want you to get out
of this house! Tonight, Jeff, get out and don't you ever come back!"
Jeff looks back at her. "I'll leave," he whispers back to her. "And
I am sorry that I hurt you, but I won't apologize for finding Victoria. I deserve
to be happy, Leah. We all do." "Ahhhh!" Leah screams as
she throws her glass against the wall, which shatters into a million pieces. "Get
out!" The State Prison
"Answer me, Tara,"
Cheresa grills the woman sitting on the other side of the plexiglass. "What
the hell did you do to Dawn?" "Dawn? Tara gets a grin on her
face. "I briefly remember her visiting me when she was working on some report
"
"Yea, and after those visits, she snapped, and has completely lost it,"
Cheresa reveals to her. "My Aunt
Daisy
" "Daisy? She was in her for murder," Tara
recalls. "Until she got out, lucky bitch." "She has a theory
that you brainwashed her," Cheresa ignores her commentary. "I need to
know if that's true. Did you brainwash my girlfriend into being a murdering psycho?"
Tara starts to laugh at Cheresa. "You must think I am a wizard or something,"
she chuckles at the suggestion. "Just tell me the truth!" Cheresa
presses her. "I need to get Dawn help and in order to do that, I need to
know the truth." "Fine," Tara rolls her eyes back to her
before she shoots her a glare. "I did brainwash her, okay? I wanted her to
carry out some of my plans, and from the sounds of it, it's worked."
"You bitch," Cheresa replies to her quickly. "I hope you rot
in hell!" Next on One Day at a Time - Nicholas searches
