Robertson Enterprises; The Studio
Robin moves up to the large communal table in the studio and opens a folio
with some of the large prints that she is working on for an upcoming Robertson
Enterprises ad-campaign. She, and the rest of the Robertson team, has been thrilled
by the RELax numbers of the Christmas season, so she is putting together a small
re-launch for the spring because they want to keep the momentum going with the
line. As she looks at the images in front of her, she can't help but put
her hand to the necklace that is around her neck. The necklace that Cory gave
her for Christmas, which has the birthstone of the daughter that they lost all
those years ago. She smiles thinking about how thoughtful Cory was with the gift,
as she was supportive of Sophie after her miscarriage. They had been distant after
Cory admitted that he and Penny slept together before she went back to her farm;
but the gift, and the ordeal with Sophie, has made Robin remember why she and
Cory fell in love with one another in the first place. "I hope I'm
not interrupting," Cory chuckles from behind Robin as he moves into he studio.
Robin turns to face her former lover. "Cory, what brings you by?"
"I was at the Sugarbowl and thought you might want your favorite drink,"
Cory reveals to her as he passes her a cup. "White chocolate mocha
with raspberry drizzle?" Robin asks him as Cory chuckles back to her with
a nod. "Thank you, that's very sweet of you." "I guess
you're always on my mind," Cory replies to her quickly. "I know you
probably have a million things to do today with the holiday season being over
but
but I was hoping I could see you again." "What do you
mean?" Robin asks shim quickly. "You're seeing me right now."
Cory chuckles again. "I know, but I was hoping for a more private setting.
Like
maybe the two of us could get dinner?" "Cory Calvin,"
Robin looks back at him with intent. "Are you asking me out on a date?"
Cory winks back at her. "I guess I am," he nods back to her. "So,
what do you say, Robin, will you have dinner with me? On a date?" ***
Meanwhile,
downstairs, Donovan sits behind his desk in his office reviewing the latest sales
figures from RELax over the holiday season. He can't believe how successful the
holiday season was; he is proud that the company was able to pull this launch
off, mostly Victoria and Jeff. He shakes his head at the idea of his sister being
involved with Jeff; it was the last thing that he expected, especially since Jeff
had been living with Leah for the last few years and they have children together.
That being said, he knows that, sometimes, the heart can't control what it wants,
and Victoria and Jeff clearly have a connection to one another. He sighs
when he thinks about his own romantic life and how Sergio had advised him that
he thinks that they need a break. He realizes that Sergio is still reeling from
the fact that he and Lukas slept together the previous year during their heated
custody battle with Abby, but it was just a one-time fling between two men fighting
for their son. Now, he has no idea if he will ever be able to regain the trust
he and Sergio once had. "Knock, knock," Jarrod says as he opens
the door to his friends office and moves inside. "I found you!"
"Jarrod?" Donovan stands up with an arched eyebrow. "What
what
are you doing here?" "To be honest, I don't have many friends
in this town yet, and I was hoping we could continue to get to one another; the
couple times we've met, you seemed cool and chill." Donovan chuckles
back to him. "I can say the same for you," he admits to him. "I
don't have a lot of time, but we can chat for a bit." "Or I
can schedule something that works with your day? I know you're probably busy af
around here." Donovan nods back to him. "Never a dull moment,
that's for sure," he replies to him. "How about you and I get lunch?
Say 12:30 at the Pink Flamingo?" "I'll be there," Jarrod
laughs at him. "And Donovan, I meant just friends; I'm back with the man
I love and won't want anything to come between us." "I also
have a man in my life, or it's complicated, so I am good with friends," Donovan
winks back at him. "See you at 12:30!" The Sugarbowl
Despite sitting in the back booth of the coffeehouse, the clinks and clanks
of glasses that baristas are working with can be heard as Simona and Sergio sit
across from one another, each with a hot latte in front of them. The chilly winter
air makes it continue to be desired to have a hot beverage, which the siblings
do. "I really had wished we could have escaped to Mexico over the
holiday season," Simona sighs to her brother before she takes a sip of her
latte. "It's has been too long since we've been home." Sergio
finds himself nodding back to her. For years, he and Simona spent Christmas with
their parents. Five years earlier, however, there was a horrific car accident
that took the lives of their parents, and they have never had the same experience
at the holidays. Still, he finds himself longing to be back in his home country
during the season; if anything, as another way to feel close to his parents.
"Me too," Sergio admits to her. "It's been too long, Simona.
Maybe we should ask for sometime off work and go there together? You know los
padres would have loved that." "I suppose I could try to escape
from the police station for a while," Simona chuckles back to him. "For
once, I don't have a million cases on the go. How about you? Do you think Donovan
would mind if you left town for awhile?" "I
I guess I haven't
told you," Sergio says before he takes another sip of his latte. "I
told Donovan that we are on a break; I
I don't know where we stand right
now." "I am guessing this has to do with his fling with Lukas
last year?" "How'd you guess?" Sergio chuckles back to
her uneasily. "I know you're upset with him," Simona tells her
brother. "And I can't believe I'm saying this because I was against the idea
of you and Donovan in the first place, but I saw firsthand how happy you two were
together. So, I have to ask, are you sure you want to throw Donovan away over
one night with his ex-husband? Especially considering what they were going through
at the time? Maybe, just maybe, they got caught up in the custody trial and it
just
happened?" "That's what Donovan has tried to tell me over and
over again," Sergio tells her quickly. "And I don't deny that it could
have happened that way; the piece that I am struggling with is that he lied to
me about it for months. If there wasn't more to their fling, why would he lie
to me repeatedly over and over again?" "Maybe this trip is coming
at the right time? You could clear your head and try to figure out where your
heart really lies?" Simona suggests to him. "Think about it Sergio;
we could both get what we want from this trip." Rome, Italy
Frederick
sits at an Italian café in Rome, which is overlooking the Coliseum. It
has been years since he's been in Rome, and he has found himself getting caught
up in the sights, the food, and the wine. Of course, he knows that he is there
on a mission: he is determined to find Felicia, as he believes that Dominick has
whisked her away to keep them away from one another. The thought of Dominick having
his wife continues to make his blood boil, which is why he is determined to find
her. He picks up a glass of merlot and takes a sip of it while he looks
at the screen of his phone. He reads the latest email from his private investigator,
which has no new information. He sighs heavily and sets his phone back down on
the table. "This is beginning to feel hopeless," he whispers
to himself. "Rome is a huge city, I have no leads as to where Dominick or
Felicia could be; and for all I know, they aren't even in Rome." He
takes another glass of his wine. "Perhaps I will go home and hope that my
PI can uncover something? It would beat me looking around this city without justification
and save me money on the hotel that I am staying at. Yes, that's what I will do,
I will head home and press my PI to uncover something concrete to Felicia's whereabouts
before I come back to Italy." He picks up his phone and starts to
respond to the email. "I'm heading back to Twin Peaks, do not stop searching
for my wife, and let me know the minute you have a concrete lead," he writes
into the email. "I won't let you win, Dominick," Frederick grits
his teeth together. "Now when it comes to my wife!" One Day
House; Second Level Offices
Paige slowly steps off the elevator into
the hallway of the second level of the One Day House. She knows that Ethan has
his office here and she is desperate to see her brother. She is still reeling
from the fact that Will had her served with lawsuit papers in an attempt to prevent
her from giving their unborn child up for adoption. Paige can't believe that he
would try to take her decision away from her; in her mind, this is her body, and
so, it is her decision to make. She knocks on the door and hears Ethan
reply with, "Come in." So, she opens the door and moves into the office,
as Ethan looks up from some of the paperwork that he is looking at. "Paige,
hi." "Hi," she says moving closer to the desk. "I
didn't get to see you over the holiday's; I hope you had a nice Christmas?"
"Georgina didn't really grasp the season this year," Ethan chuckles
to her. "I'm already looking forward to this year, I think it will be a great
time." "I bet," Paige nods back to her. "I still can't
believe that you have a child with Abby, of all people." "I
know you and Abby have never seen eye to eye, but she does make me happy, Paige."
"I hope it stays that way," Paige tells him. "But I came here
today because I need to see you and it's important." Ethan arches
his eyebrow back to her. "Alright, what's going on?" "This,"
she passes him an envelope that she pulls out of her large Chanel purse. "Will
Coutts is suing me; he is trying to prevent me from giving my baby up for adoption."
Ethan reads the papers and then looks back at her. "I can't believe he
would do this," he tells her quickly. "How are you feeling?"
"Like I need a strong lawyer to fight the son of a bitch," Paige
glares back at him. "This is my body, it's my choice. I don't want anyone,
especially a man, tell me what I can and can't do with my child or my body."
"I hear you. Are you asking me to take this case?" "Please
Ethan," Paige nods back to him. "I know we have a history, but I'm hoping
you'll help me with this case." "You're my sister," Ethan
looks back at her. "Of course, I will help you, Paige. I'll do everything
in my power to help you keep your power." "Thank you,"
Paige smiles back to him. "I appreciate this so much. Now, what is our first
step?" Roboto
Natasha sits behind the large desk in
the CEO office of Roboto as she is reading some emails on her laptop. She can't
believe that Robertson Enterprises had such a strong holidays season due to the
RELax launch; she knows that her and her team will have to counter something to
help get Roboto back on top. What is also on her mind is that Sophie was
rather cold to her on Christmas Day; she realizes that her daughter is still struggling
to get over her miscarriage, but she had hoped that she and Sophie would have
been able to have a nice Christmas together. What is the positive, though, is
that Shane stopped by the mansion on Christmas and she and her estranged fiancé
shared a close moment. After everything that has happened, she hopes that she
and Shane can put their relationship back together. She shuts her eyes for a moment
and can't help but think about the night she and Max slept together; she knows
that if she and Shane reunite, she will have to keep that a secret from him. At
the time, she needed comfort from a man, and Max was also in need of a connection,
so the sex just happened. She has told Max that it meant nothing, which he agreed
and they are going to move on, which is exactly what Natasha wants. "I
called the mansion and Rosario told me that you already came into the office,"
Shane announces as he opens the door to her office door. "Shane,
I wasn't expecting to see you today. I thought you'd be at the hospital?"
Natasha stands up and moves closer to him. "I wanted to see you before
my shift starts," Shane admits to her as they lock eyes with one another.
"I
I had a really great time at Christmas with you and the family, Nat."
Natasha smiles back to him as she feels her heart flutter in her chest. "I
I
had a nice time too, Shane. It felt like we were able to mend some of our fences
that day." "We did," Shane nods back to her. "I've
just realized that I still love you, Natasha. Despite everything, I love you and
I want us to be together." Natasha pulls Shane into a hug and feels
her eyes swell with water. "I love you too," she whispers back to him.
"More than you'll ever know." They exit their embrace and Shane
pulls Natasha into a passionate kiss, both of them thrilled that they are finally
back on good terms. The Pink Flamingo at the River Rock Casino
Sophie
sits at a table in the restaurant with a martini in front of her. Her mind is
racing over the fact that she went to talk to Max before Christmas and she saw
him in bed with Natasha. She can't believe that her mother would sleep with her
boyfriend, but then again, she knows that Natasha can be incredibly selfish. On
top of that, she knows that Max was upset with her for sleeping with Logan, even
though that was a drunken mistake. "I
I have to get myself together,"
she whispers to herself before she takes a sip of her drink. "I was pretty
harsh to Natasha on Christmas Day; she's going to start to suspect something is
going on with me, which there is. I mean
how the hell could she sleep with
my boyfriend after I just lost my baby? Ugh, she never ceases to amaze me."
She takes another long sip of her drink before she sets the glass down. "What
I'd really like to do is get back at her," Sophie continues to whisper to
herself. "I'll be damned if I let my mother treat me this way and just expect
me to take it." Before she can say anything else, she feels a shadow
over her table. She looks up and sees Max standing in front of her. "Hey
Soph," he says with an uneasy smile on his face. "I'm glad I ran into
you because I think we need to talk." *** Andy' sits
at the bar with a whiskey in front of him. He has continued to drink since Nicholas
made the decision to go back to Jarrod; since that evening in Nicholas' office,
Andy has felt completely numb. Just a few short weeks earlier, Andy and Nicholas
were sheer moments away from being married, only to have Melissa stop the ceremony
with the revelation that Jarrod is alive and well. For Nicholas to, now, want
to give his relationship a try because he thought that had Melissa not faked his
death, they would still be together, has rocked Andy's entire world. On Christmas
Day, Andy was alone, and he found a bottle of whiskey in his cupboard. He knows
that it was Nicholas' bottle, but Andy certainly celebrated the holiday by sinking
the rest of the bottle himself. Since that night, he has continued to drink, even
though, no one knows that he is drinking yet. "I suppose everyone
will find out soon enough that I am drinking, and to be honest, I don't fucking
care," he chuckles to himself before he picks up his drink and finishes it
quickly. The bartender asks if he wants another, and he shakes his head no, knowing
that he has to drive home safely still. However, behind him, Kim stands in shock,
as she just realized that Andy might have finished a drink. "No,"
she whispers to herself in shock. "Please tell me you're not drinking, Andy.
Please tell me that I am seeing things." The Calimo Mansion
"Well,
alright, when you put it that way, I guess you're right, we do have somethings
to talk about," Madeline uneasily looks back at Robbie, who just told her
that they have to talk. "What's on your mind?" "New Year's
Eve, for starters," Robbie puts his hand on his waist. "You claimed
everything was a lie, Madeline. What are you talking about? What is a lie?"
Madeline gulps back to him heavily. She knew that her lashing out would cause
issues with Robbie, but she was trying to cope with the grief of her taking Kim's
baby. "You have to understand," Madeline uneasily looks back
at him quickly. "I've been struggling with this postpartum; I was in the
midst of an episode, Robbie. I'm
I'm really sorry about what happened."
"You have to understand how concerned I am about you," Robbie tells
her. "This isn't the first time you've seemingly had an episode, or pushed
me, or Bobby, away." "I know all of that," Madeline lies
to him quickly. "The fact is, my behaviour on New Year's Eve really startled
me, and that's why I've made an appointment with a doctor." Robbie
arches his eyebrow back to her in surprise. "You have?" "I
have," Madeline nods back to him. "I want to get better so I can be
the best mother possible to our little boy, Robbie. He needs me, and I need him,
so I am taking the steps to get healthy. Please
please tell me that you believe
me and that you will support me?" Robbie pulls her into a hug and
holds her for a minute. "That's all I want," Robbie tells her as they
exit their embrace. "I want you to be healthy again, Madeline."
"I will be, Robbie. I promise you, I will be." Next Time
