Episode Theme song: "Bad Girls
(Verdine Version)" - Solange
Scene One - Twin Peaks General Hospital Madeline steps off the elevator and looks around the busy 4th floor of the hospital. It's the main floor where everyone has to come to for general admission. She's been on this floor more times than she knows because she would always come to the nurses' station first before visiting Olivia, when her mother was alive and working at the hospital. Today, she's here visiting someone again; only, she doesn't believe it will be the best of visits. Her mind wonders back to New Year's Eve where Will officially ended their relationship at the party that Pampa Grill hosted. She knew that Will was upset with her role in Savannah and Trenyce's baby switch, she just wishes that he would understand that she was being blackmailed by Dave. She would never want to hurt people intentionally. Of course, she realizes that she should have come clean about the switch after she stood up to Dave and Brett but she thought that no one would ever know the truth. Plus, with Savannah not even living in Twin Peaks at the time, she didn't think it was a huge issue. The more she thinks about it, however, the more she realizes they were bad excuses. "Somehow, I have to make him understand," she says to herself as she approaches the nurses' station. She doesn't see Will there, but she knows that he is at work today. He must be on break, she realizes as she quickly walks to the break room. She has been to the break room with Will before, so she knows where it is. She opens the door to the break room. There are four rows of lockers for the staff to keep their personal belongings. Beyond the lockers, there is a table for the staff to eat at as well as a fridge, microwave and a sink. Madeline enters and shuts the door behind her. "Will?" she calls out as she comes into the room completely. She quickly spots Will at his locker and he looks at her, almost startled to see her. He quickly shoves something into his locker and shuts it before she can see what he is doing. "What are you doing here?" he asks her nervously, as he moves away from his locker and to the table. Madeline doesn't catch on to his apprehension but instead looks at him longingly for a moment. "I was hoping that we could talk," she says in almost a whisper. "I know what you told me on New Year's Eve, but " "But what?" he snaps back at her as he opens the fridge and pulls out his lunch bag. He sets it on the table and sits down. "You lied to everyone for years Madeline. You have destroyed people's lives because of your role in the baby switch. Do you really expect me to forgive you?" Madeline looks down in defeat. She honestly didn't know what to expect by coming to the hospital today but it's clear that he is over the relationship that they had. "I suppose I was hoping that you'd hear me out." "There's nothing that you can say that will make me change my mind," he replies to her coldly. "Now, if you don't mind, I only get 30 minutes for lunch. I'd like to eat in peace." Madeline nods her head back to him. "See you around," she manages to say before she turns around and quickly walks out the door. She knew it was a long shot, but she had to try. Maybe if I give him time, she tells herself, he will come around. Will watches her and as soon as the door closes behind her, he breathes a sigh of relief. He knows what he was doing when Madeline walked into the room and he knows that no one can ever find out the truth. Scene Two - The Pampa Grill Eva takes a sip of her chardonnay as she sees Donovan and Victoria enter the restaurant together. She has invited her children for lunch today because she feels like it has been far too long since they were all together. She has made it a resolution for this year to try to see them more than usual; lunch is the perfect start to that. "Donovan, Victoria," she smiles as they reach the table. "I'm so glad you guys were able to make it." Donovan and Victoria sit across from Eva and nod back to her. "Thank you for the invite," Victoria replies to her. "I will admit I was a touch surprised by the phone call." "Yea, usually we just get together for special occasions and stuff," Donovan comments back to his mother. "I know," Eva tells them. "I'm trying to have us get together more often this year. Time is a precious thing, you know? We never know when our day will be here." "That sounded cryptic," a voice calls from above Donovan and Victoria. Eva looks up and sees Natasha standing there. "Natasha, you made it!" Eva smiles as Natasha walks around to sit next to her mother. Donovan and Victoria quickly glance at each other, not realizing that Eva had also invited their half sibling. "I had a break from court this morning, so I thought it would be nice to see everyone," Natasha says as she sits down. "Donovan, Victoria Happy New Year to you both." "Same to you Natasha," Victoria replies to her. "Robbie will be pleased to hear I had lunch with you today." Natasha smiles as she takes a drink of the wine. ""I'm sure Robbie will be happy to hear that we are seeing each other too," Natasha replies to Victoria. Donovan suddenly has a chuckle. "What's so funny?" Eva asks her son. "I guess I just realized how weird this is. I mean, Robbie is dating his sister's half-sister," he says as he continues to laugh. Victoria slaps his leg as she looks over at Natasha who doesn't seem to be impressed. Natasha clears her throat. "I don't think I've ever thought of it that way," Victoria quickly says back to everyone. "No one really has," Natasha replies to them. "I think we are all just trying to be happy." "I guess I won't mention the other odd connection," Donovan says dryly back to everyone. "Well, now you almost have too," Natasha comments back to him. Donovan grins again. "Well, you're engaged to Shane who is Victoria's ex-husband." Victoria feels her face blush. "Small town, I guess?" Even Natasha has to start to laugh at this point. She realizes that her siblings are having a good time with the odd connections. "This is wonderful," Eva replies to them. "I've always wanted to have all my children together having a good time. This is perfect. It really is perfect." Scene Three - The Wilkins Estate "I was surprised when you stopped by on New Year's Eve," Reese admits to Andy as they sit in Reese's bedroom talking. Reese recalls how he did not go to the party at the Pampa Grill on New Year's because he has still be battling this flu bug that doesn't seem to want to go away; Andy showed up close to midnight and kissed Reese. Reese was taken aback at first, but he enjoyed the kiss with his ex. Andy has stopped by again today and Reese hopes that it's because Andy wants to talk about the kiss. Reese isn't sure what it means exactly, but he is excited by the prospects of what this could mean for their future. "I know," Andy grins back at him. "I was talking with Trenyce at the party about why I was feeling like you and I kept being pulled back into each other's circle and I just found myself wanting to see you." Reese nods back to him. "And here you are again. We kissed the other night. What do you think should happen now?" Andy stands up and looks at Reese. He walks over to him and grabs his hand. "I think I know why we keep getting pulled back together. You know, first it was us being together while I was dating JC and then you and Craig last year. We've been through so much and always seem to be thrown back together." Reese puts his head down, still ashamed to hear that he slept with Craig while he was dating Andy. He doesn't like to think that he caused Andy and Craig pain; It's not his style. "We do seemingly keep getting pulled back together. Why do you think it is? You said you know think you know why." Andy looks deep into Reese's eyes. "It's because I love you," Andy whispers to him, hoping he doesn't scare Reese away. After everything that has happened, Andy finally has realized the truth. "I always have and I think I always will." Reese looks back at Andy and gets a smile on his face. "Do you really mean that?" "Of course I do. I think it's taken me awhile to realize that, but it's true. I love you," Andy replies to him. "It's okay that if you don't feel the same way, I'm not trying to force this on you. I just wanted you to know how I feel." "You're not forcing anything on me Andy." Andy nods slowly back to him. "What are you saying Reese?" Reese looks back into Andy's eyes and moves closer to him. "I'm saying," he begins slowly. "I love you too." Andy's face gets a huge grin on his face. "Really? You mean it?" "I mean it!" Reese laughs. "I love you. I always have. I didn't want to be the first to say it incase you didn't say it back." "I'll say it back! Again and again," Andy laughs a little. Andy leans in and kisses Reese passionately on the lips. Reese responds and moves his hand behind Andy's head. They part for a moment before Andy kisses him again. "Is your sister home?" Andy asks as they part lips again, his eyes full of lust. Reese shakes his head no. "We are alone." "Good," Andy replies as he pushes Reese down on the bed and crawls on top of him, their lips never separating. Scene Four - Riverside Delicatessen "How was your New Year's?" Adam asks Shane as they sit across from each other at the restaurant having lunch together. With Natasha having lunch with her family, Shane thought it was a nice chance to catch up with his friend. Adam agreed as Helen is busy with Dawn at school for the day. Shane finishes chewing his piece of sandwich before he looks at his friend. "It was alright. Natasha and I just stayed in and had a quiet evening. We didn't want any big fan fair this year," Shane reveals to him, recalling his New Year's Eve to Adam. "How about you and Helen?" Adam takes a drink of his coffee. "We went to the party at the Pampa Grill." "Oh, how was that?" Shane asks him. "Nat told me that they were hosting. It was our other choice." "It wasn't bad, actually. I thought they did a good job. I'd go again if they threw something this year. It's so far away though." Shane laughs. "I know. I'm hoping this year we have less drama than last year. Of course, after we find Cassie." Adam shrugs his shoulders. "I'm not sure how well that is going. Between Madeline and Bob, we haven't heard anything on that front. I just wish I knew if I had a son or daughter. It kills me not knowing where my child is." "If there's anything Natasha and I can do to help, please let us know. We want to help you find your child." "I know, and I appreciate that," Adam replies to him. "You are both doing so much already, especially Natasha going to Bob to try to help find Cassie." "It is the least we can do," Shane offers back to him. Adam sighs as he looks at his friend. "You look like something else is troubling you," Shane observes of his friend, who still looks upset. "It's nothing, or at least I hope it's nothing." "What's going on?" Shane asks him. "It's Helen," Adam reveals to his friend. "She's decided to go to Madeline and ask her to investigate her past as well." Shane arches his eyebrow. "What do you mean her past?" "She's been thinking a lot lately about the time Cassie was holding her hostage and how Casey was posing as Helen's brother," Adam continues to tell Shane, recalling Helen's admission to him on New Year's Eve. "Ah, so she wonders if she actually has family some where?" Adam nods his head back to Shane. "And because she has no memory of her past, she wants Maddie to find out the truth." "That's not unreasonable of her," Shane tells him. "Why is this upsetting to you?" Adam shakes his head and sighs. "I'm just worried about what Helen will find. Sometimes things are better left unfound." Shane looks back at his friend. "This is something Helen has to do. We don't know what we will find until we try. Try not to think negative." Adam sighs and tries to smile back to him. "Thanks Shane. I will try to believe this is a good thing. I'm just apprehensive." Scene Five - City Hall; Daisy's Office Daisy sits at her desk as she reviews some files. She opens the file folder and starts to read the paper in front of her but she quickly finds herself unable to focus. She recalls how she woke up at Vinny's house this morning and he wasn't at home. She came to work and was surprised that he was not at the office either. It's not unlike him to go somewhere without mentioning it to her. She sighs and puts her hand over her face. She looks up and finds herself suddenly feeling insecure about her relationship with Vinny. She recognizes that Vinny has proven himself to be very different than her marriage to Chris, where Chris cheated on her numerous times. She shakes her head trying to tell herself that Vinny is not cheating her on, but she can't erase this feeling in the pit of her stomach. She stands up and walks over to the window holding her stomach. "Where are you Vinny? Why haven't I heard from you?" Scene Six - The State Penitentiary Vinny sits in the waiting room taping his fingers on his knee. He takes a deep breath knowing that he has come to the prison to see his brother. He recalls his conversation with Daisy on New Year's Eve where he wondered what other secrets Dave and Brett could possibly be keeping from everyone. The last six months or so have been extremely hard for everyone with the reveal that Savannah is really Andrew's mother, not Trenyce. Knowing that Dave and Brett set that up, with the help of Madeline, Vinny is left wondering what else there could be that his brothers have set up to cause him pain. Vinny only wishes that all of this would stop. Dave is dead; Brett's in jail; all Vinny wants to do is put that dark part of his life behind him. The fact that he's here, at the jail, he even feels uneasy. Memories of being locked up, even shackled to a wall at one point, are always in the back of his mind. He shuts his eyes and he remembers how weak he felt while he was in the secret room that Dave and Brett had at his family home. He opens his eyes and quickly stands up. "Maybe this wasn't a good idea," he tells himself as he runs his hands through his hair. "Maybe I need to let this go. Never see Brett again." He knows he has to see his brother, however. He couldn't live with himself if he didn't at least try to find out if they have any more secrets. He arches his eyebrow and even wonders if Brett will tell him the truth; why would he, after all? Regardless, he knows he has to ask the questions. "Mr. Victors?" a voice calls to Vinny, who turns around and sees a guard looking at him. "It's time to go see your brother, are you ready?" Vinny gulps and nods his head. "I'm ready." Scene
Seven - MW Investigations "Why can't he understand that I did what I had to do because I was being blackmailed?" she asks her as she puts her hands over her face. "I never meant to hurt anyone. I just didn't think I had any other choices." "You always have choices," a voice calls from the doorway of Madeline's office. Madeline slowly looks up and sees Trenyce standing in her doorway. "Aren't you going to say hello?" "Trenyce?" Madeline asks her, her mind flashing back to the night at the hospital when the truth about the baby switch came out and Trenyce physically attacked her. Daisy and Vinny had to pull her off Madeline to stop the fight. "What on earth are you doing here?" Trenyce arches her eyebrow and glares back at Madeline. "You didn't really think I would stay away, did you? After everything you've done to me?" Madeline stands up and folds her arms across her chest, almost scared of Trenyce. She has no idea what the woman is capable of. "Trenyce, please, just hear me out." "Hear you out?" Trenyce asks with a slight chuckle. "Do you have any idea what you have done to me? What you have done to my family?" You've ruined everything!" Madeline shakes her head as tears form in her eyes. "I'm sorry. I really never ..." "Save it!" Trenyce yells at her. "I'm not here to fight with you again Madeline. And I surely do not want to hear your pathetic excuses. I came for another reason." Madeline wipes a tear from her eye. "And what's that?" "To tell you to watch your back. I can't tell you when or how, but you know the universe has this little thing called karma. One day, you will pay for what you've done to me and Andrew and Savannah. And when that day comes, I will be there to rub salt in your wound. I won't let you forget the lives you've helped destroy." Madeline looks at Trenyce, who turns away and starts to walk back to the doorway. "Trenyce," Madeline calls out, causing Trenyce to stop but not turn around and look at her foe. "For what it's worth, I am sorry." Keeping her back to Madeline, Trenyce says, "It's a little late for sorry Madeline." Trenyce walks out of Madeline's office, leaving Madeline to comfort herself. She sits back down in her chair as it finally hits her; how many lives she really changed with her lies. Next
