Your Hero" Tegan & Sara Previously
on One Day at a Time Scene One - Eva's Lexus "I don't understand what the rush is," Cory tells Eva as he sits in the passenger seat of Eva's Lexus as they drive to Dominick's townhouse. Cory recalls how he was at Shane and Natasha's wedding reception when Eva came up to him and told him that they had to get over to Dominick's townhouse immediately. Cory initially thought that maybe Robin was close to dying because of her infection but he isn't sure what to think now because Eva has been so quiet about the reason that they need to get to Robin. "What is going on Eva?" Eva keeps her eyes on the road as she hears Cory speak to her. She sighs as she recalls Madeline taking her aside at the wedding reception and informing her of what was happening at the hospital with the elderly patients dying. Then, after hearing Dominick speak about Robin's pending death and hearing Dominick and Will talking in private, Eva thinks she has put the pieces of this puzzle together. She doesn't want to believe her theory to be true, but she has to be sure. "I don't want to say anything too much right now Cory," she replies to him. "I just think it's critical that we get to Dominick's townhouse and Robin as soon as possible." Cory looks at the speedometer for a moment and realizes that Eva is going well over the speed limit. "Whatever it is, you are sure in a rush." Eva nods her head back to him. "I don't think we have much time." "You should so cryptic," he laughs, not knowing the riddle she is speaking in. "Just trust me," she says finally looking over at him. "We have to get to your wife and we have to get there now." Scene Two - The Victors House; Vinny & Daisy's Home "I hope you had a good evening," Vinny tells Daisy as they enter the house and begin to take their jackets off from the wedding. He watches his fiancé for a moment, recalling how they had a tiff at the reception because he found out that she is the one that called Chris to come back into town during Andrew's custody hearing. He is upset because she scolded him for inviting Meggan and her family to live with them while she brought her ex-husband back to town. "It was a nice wedding," Daisy tells him, still giving him the cold shoulder. He watches as she moves into the living room and she pours herself a nightcap from the bar. She takes a slow sip of the of beverage before she turns around and looks at him. "I have to get something off my chest." Vinny arches his eyebrow and moves to the bar to make himself a drink. "By all means " "I'm really offended that you think I brought Chris back to town because I still have some sort of feelings for him," she tells him quickly before she takes another drink. "You know the bad place I was in when he left town. You know the hurt I felt because of his betrayal with Greta. For you to think that I still have feelings for him is crazy." "Maybe, I guess I was just reeling from you accusing me of having feelings for Meggan." "I never accused you having feelings for Meggan," she corrects him. "I told you that I didn't appreciate you making decisions about our living arrangements without speaking to me first." "Let me ask you this question," he says as he takes a drink of his scotch. "If I had asked Trenyce to move in, would you have cared?" "That's not fair," Daisy replies to him. "You know that's different, Trenyce is my family." "And in some ways, Meggan is my family." "She's your ex-wife!" Daisy says trying not to raise her voice. "That's not family." Vinny turns his back to her. "You know, Daisy," he begins to say to her. "I was locked up for so many years, I don't have much of a real family. Meggan and I didn't work as a married couple but as friends, we were always close. If I want to consider that my family, so be it." "Look, I don't want to fight with you Vinny," Daisy finally admits to him. "I think we should just agree that we both made mistakes by not communicating properly and try to move on." From the hallway, Meggan creeps closer to the living room as she listens to the couple having the heated discussion. "I'm willing to do that as long as you realize that you can't always throw this in my face," he tells her, looking at Daisy in the eyes. "You know me better than that," she says looking back at him. "You know, the next wedding we will be at will be ours, don't you?" He can't help but smile. "You still want to marry me?" "Of course I do," she says as she kisses him. Meggan leans up against the wall and smiles to herself. She knows that she's already made a dent in Vinny and Daisy's relationship. "Soon, they won't even be planning a wedding," she whispers to herself as she sneaks off back to her bedroom. Scene Three - The Riverside Delicatessen Kim opens the door the restaurant and moves closer to the menu wall. After the wedding, she decided to stop by for a sandwich as she had a craving for something with mustard and pickles. She smiles as she reviews the menu thinking that this is just the start of her cravings that she will be having now that she is expecting a child. She is just happy that Bob is seemingly pleased that she is pregnant and he has no idea that she was sleeping with another man. She shakes her head scolding herself; Bob is the father of her child. After she places her order, she moves to a table to wait as she got her sandwich to go. Much to her surprise, Johnny soon approaches her table. "Mind if I sit with you?" he asks her as he sits across from her. "I didn't think I'd see you here at this hour." "I'm eating for two now," she informs him. "I guess I was hungry." Johnny nods back to her trying not to look into her eyes. "How did Bob take the news that you're expecting?" "Extremely well," Kim feels herself say before she knows what she is saying. "He couldn't be more pleased." "That's good?" Johnny asks, not sure how to reply to that. "It's very good," Kim tells him. "I was apprehensive because he's in a different stage of his life than I am. I wasn't sure he wanted to be a father again." "Well, I'm happy it is working out for you," Johnny tells her. He turns around and realizes that there's no one else in the restaurant but the two of them. What he doesn't notice, however, is the man watching them from the window. "We are alone." Kim looks up into his eyes and is quickly taken aback to the hot summer days when Johnny was a pool boy at the Calimo mansion and they were having intense sex in the pool room. "We've been alone before," she says to him slowly. "It seems like it's been awhile," he admits to her as he reaches over and grabs her hand on the table. "I've missed you," he tells her. "Johnny," she whispers as she shuts her eyes. "We shouldn't be doing this." "We aren't doing anything," he smiles to her as he leans and gives her a quick kiss on the lips. "Just know that I still think of you. If you ever need anything, you know that I'm here for you." She keeps her eyes shut for a moment longer, almost hoping that he will lean in and give her another kiss. She finally opens her eyes and smiles to him. Before she can reply, the woman at the counter tells Kim that her sandwich is ready. "I should be going. You take care of yourself," she tells him as she stands up and moves over to the counter. As she moves towards the door, she looks back at Johnny, who is watching her every move. When Kim opens the door, the man watching her and Johnny quickly bolts and hides behind a tree close to the building. Kim gets into her car, not realizing that someone was watching her moment with Johnny. Scene Four - Dominick's Townhouse Dominick opens the door to the bedroom where Robin is sleeping. He enters and looks at his daughter sleeping peacefully in the large bed. He moves closer to her and puts his hand on her pale face. His heart breaks as he has gone through something very similar before with Felicia; all those years of slowly seeing Felicia slip away until he couldn't handle it anymore. He had to take action and try to mend his broken family. As he looks at Robin, he knows that what he is doing is for the best. He knows that he will be helping everyone start fresh and try to move on from this nightmare. Robin needs help with her mental state, Dominick knows this. "And Cory," he whispers to himself. "Cory needs to start living again." Dominick stands up from the bedside when he hears Will enter the bedroom. "Are you sure you want to do this?" Will asks Dominick as he moves to the other side of the bedroom. "I don't think you're in a position to question me William," Dominick replies in a stern voice. "The time has come. We have to do this now. We shouldn't delay any further." Will gulps. "I don't like this but I'm not going to object." Dominick watches as Will moves to the dresser in the back corner. Will opens a medical bag and pulls out a large syringe. He shoots out some of the liquid before he looks at Dominick. "This should do it," Will says as he slowly approaches Robin. *** "Okay, we are here," Cory tells Eva as she parks her car out front of the townhouse. "Can you tell me now, why we are here." "Let's just get inside and head straight up to Robin's bedroom," Eva tells him. She opens the door and looks around, quickly spotting Will's SUV parked up the street. "Let's go!" She rushes inside with Cory following behind her. "Robin?" Cory calls as he opens the door. They race upstairs as Eva pulls out her telephone. Cory moves up the stairs and sees the door where Robin has been resting. He opens the door and sees Robin laying on the bed. Dominick is standing by the window and Will is hovered over Robin's body with a large syringe in his hand. "Stop!" Cory yells at Will, causing the nurse to freeze and look up. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Eva barges in and looks at the two of them. "My God," she says as she covers her mouth in shock. "I was right. My theory was right! Dominick, how could you do this?" *** Downstairs, Rebecca and Madeline both walk up to the front door at the same time. "Are you here for Robin?" Rebecca asks Madeline, as the two women have never met before. Madeline shakes her head. "I just got a text from Eva McCloud, you as well?" Rebecca shakes her head yes. "I guess we better get inside and figure out what is going on here." Madeline sighs. "I have a feeling this won't be good." Scene Five - The Robertson House; Jeff & Leah's Home "That was an amazing wedding," Leah tells Jeff as she takes her jewelry off in their master bedroom of their house. "Shane and Natasha looked absolutely blissful." "That's usually what happens when two people in love get married," Jeff smiles as he emerges from the washroom shirtless. "But I agree, they did seem to be on cloud nine." "I can't wait for our wedding day," she smiles to him as she takes out her earring. "I guess because the wedding is over, we should start packing for Lake Tahoe. We can leave in the morning." "Okay, I have to ask," Jeff says as he sits on the bed. "Now that you saw this big, lavish wedding of Shane and Natasha's, are you still wanting to elope with me? Our friends and family won't be there like they were today." Leah smiles and looks at her fiancé. "I want to marry you in Lake Tahoe more than anything else in this world," she says she leans down and kisses him. "With the state my mother is in, I don't think a big wedding is the best idea for us." "I agree, I just wanted to make sure you were okay with our idea still." "I'm more than okay with Jeff. I can't wait to be your wife again," she smiles as she leans and gives him a kiss. "Good," he says standing up from the bed. "I'll go get the suit cases. We can still pack this evening. Want me to bring up a bottle of wine while we pack?" "Ah," she moans slightly. "That would be lovely." "Okay," he winks at her. "I'll be right back." Outside the bedroom, Felicia quickly moves back to her bedroom and shuts the door before Jeff leaves the master bedroom. She feels her heart beat quicken inside her chest. She knows that she's running out of time. She moves to her dresser and opens the top drawer. It's not time for her medication, but she opens the bottle and puts two pills in her hand. She puts them in her mouth and quickly washes them down with some water. "I have to do something to stop this wedding," she whispers to herself as she starts to pace. "I can't let my daughter marry that man. He hates me! He wants me out of her life and out of this house." Suddenly, she gets an idea and a grin comes across her face. "That's it," Felicia says with a odd twinkle in her eye. "I know exactly what I have to do." Scene Six - The Sugarbowl Frederick opens the door to the Sugarbowl and enters the coffeehouse. He's usually not one that has coffee this late at night, but something pulled him in. Maybe it's the fact that he is still new to Twin Peaks and is still getting to know the city, he felt like he should check the place out. He places his order of a hot chocolate and then moves over to the bar to put a lid on his cup. He then sees a beautiful young woman looking at her telephone deeply. He moves closer to her after he has the lid on his cup. "You seem to be looking at your phone pretty intensely," he says as he approaches her. Savannah looks up at him and smiles. She moves the phone to show him the screen. "That's my son," she smiles, showing him a picture of Andrew. "And we are finally going to be together." Frederick arches his eyebrow. "Shouldn't all mother's be with their children?" Savannah chuckles a little. "It's a long story," she replies to him. "I'm Savannah Pherson." "Frederick Richardson," he says as he sits next to her. "So, Ms. Pherson, why are you here and not with your son?" Savannah takes a sip of her decaf before looking back at the doctor. "Honestly," she tells him. "He's with a baby sitter tonight. I've learned recently that I need to give myself some me time so I came here." Frederick nods back to her growing increasingly more fascinated with woman. "Why wouldn't you take a night off to be with your friends? It seems curious that you're alone." Savannah chuckles a little before looking out the window. "I don't have many friends in this town. It can be a very isolating place." "That's too bad," he replies to her. "But in some ways, I can relate. I'm a doctor and I'm here because one of my patients is here. I suppose I'm luckier because my son and daughter are here as well. They are grown, probably your age." "A doctor, huh?" she smiles back to him. "I hope your family appreciates you." "I think they do," he replies to her. "Look, I should get going as I have an early morning. But, Savannah, if you ever want to grab a coffee again, I'd be okay with that. I'm not trying to hit on you, I'm just a firm believer that we should all have good circle of friends. People we can reply on. And I'm new in town as well." Savannah smile back to him. "I'd appreciate that Frederick, I'll take you up on it." Scene Seven - Dominick's Townhouse "Will someone please tell me what the hell is going on here?" Cory demands from Will and Dominick, as he now stands over Robin's body, isolating her from Will and Dominick. "What the hell is in that needle?" Rebecca and Madeline emerge at the doorway of Robin's room. "Cory?" Rebecca asks her brother in law. "What's going on? I could hear your voice from downstairs." "What the hell are you two doing here?" Dominick asks the two women as they enter the bedroom. "I texted them and asked them and asked them to come over," Eva informs Dominick. "I thought we should all be here to this." "For what?!" Cory yells in frustration. "Someone better tell me what the fuck is going on here or I'm going to explode!" "This is all my fault," Dominick finally says as he covers his eyes with his hand. "I can't believe I did this. This is all my fault " "I need you to spell this out for me Dominick," Cory tells him. "What is your fault?" Dominick looks over at Cory before he looks at Eva. "Tell him Dominick," she warns him. "Tell him everything, or I will." Next
