on One Day at a Time Scene One - Dominick's Townhouse "Will somebody please explain to me what the hell is going on here?" a frustrated Cory demands to know from the room full of people that are hovering over Robin's body. He wishes he understood why Eva was so desperate for him to get to the townhouse and when they did arrive why Will was standing over her body with a needle full of a drug. "Start speaking!" he yells at Dominick, as Will, Eva, Rebecca and Madeline look on in horror. Dominick sighs and finally removes his hands from his eyes. "This is all my fault Cory. I thought I was doing the right thing for you and Robin." "This all goes back to the hospital," Madeline interrupts, hoping to add explanation. "A few weeks ago, Eva came to me and asked me to investigate why elderly patients were dying at an extremely high rate," Madeline continues to explain to everyone, as Will's face goes pale. "I discovered the truth." "Which is what?" Cory asks, trying to figure out what this has to do with Robin. "You don't know the entire story," Will tells everyone, his voice cracking. He doesn't want the truth to come out. "You've been killing patients Will," Eva replies to him walking up to him. "And you've been doing it for years." Will sighs and turns around, shocked that he has been caught after all this time. For so long, he believed he was doing the right thing. He feels beads of sweat start to form on his forehead. "Have you nothing to say for yourself?" she asks her former lover, herself shocked by the truth. "I thought I was helping them," he finally speaks. "Their quality of life was horrible. Their family stopped coming to visit. They couldn't eat by themselves. They couldn't go to the washroom by themselves. I thought I was giving them a way out. I thought " "That's not your decision to make!" Eva replies to him quickly, raising her voice. "What you did was illegal. You've been killing people! You're suspended, effectively immediately!" "They wanted to die!" Will yells back at her as he turns around to face her. "They asked me to do this for them." "I don't understand what this has to do with Robin?" Cory interrupts them. "I want to know what this has to do with my wife!" Eva looks at Will and shakes her head. She then looks over at Dominick, who is still silent. "Are you going to tell him Dominick? Or am I?" Scene Two - The Victors House; Vinny & Daisy's Home "This feels so wonderful," Frederick tells Lukas and Meggan as they sit on one of the living spaces in their wing of the Victors house. "Being together with my son and daughter. It's like we are finally home." "Except we are not in Santa Barbara," Lukas replies to his father as he takes a drink of his whiskey. "I don't know if I can handle the winter's here." Meggan chuckles a little. "It's not that bad Lukas," she tells him. "Plus, you'll have a great time snowboarding." "You need to make yourself at home in Twin Peaks Lukas," Frederick informs his son. "In fact, earlier this evening, I met a lovely young woman named Savannah Pherson. You should ask her out on a date. It's time you find someone and settle down." Lukas rolls his eyes and takes another swig of his whiskey. "When will you stop trying to control my life? I can handle my love life." "Obviously not, since you're single. Savannah is a beautiful woman," Frederick tells him, not sure why Lukas is acting out. "Then why don't you date her Dad?" Lukas spits back at him, clearly upset that his father is meddling in his life. "Guys please!" Meggan cuts them off. "We haven't had much time together since we moved here, can we please not fight? "Your sister is right," Frederick sighs as he looks over at his son. "I don't want to argue with you Lukas, I just want what's best for you." "If you want what's best for me," Lukas tells him as he stands up. "You'll mind your business and let me live my life the way I want to live it." Before Frederick can reply, Lukas is walking out of the room. Instead, he looks over at Meggan and shrugs. "I was only trying to help." "I know that," Meggan tells him. "I just think it's been so many years since he's been in the States that he is still adjusting to being back." "I hope you're right," Frederick tells her as he gives her a little smile, secretly wondering if there's more going on with his son than meets the eye. Scene Three - The Pampa Grill "I must admit, I was surprised to get your telephone call," Savannah tells Chris as they sit across from each other at the restaurant. "I haven't exactly heard from anyone since the end of the custody hearing." Chris nods back to her as he takes a drink of his red wine. "I thought I should reach out to you and sort of explain my role in what happened." "I don't think you had much of a role," Savannah replies to him, knowing that he wasn't in town before the custody hearing. "From what I gathered, you showed up right at the custody hearing." "Exactly," Chris informs her. "Trenyce nor Daisy called me until they were trying to take Andrew away from you. I had no idea that my son wasn't really my son." Savannah looks down, hating that this has caused so many people pain. "I wish I had known," she whispers to him. "I would have called you. The last thing I wanted to do was hurt so many people with this." "It's not your fault that Dave stole the babies," he tells her. "This is just a very unfortunate mess. We are all caught in the middle of this." "I'm glad you see it that way," she smiles to him. "Trenyce just seems to want to take my child away from me." "Give her time," Chris replies to her. "She's hurt, that's all. I've known Trenyce a long time and she lashes out when she's in a corner or hurt." "But like you said, we are all in the same boat." "Let's not talk about this anymore," Chris tells her. "I'd like to get to know you." "You would?" Savannah asks surprised by his admission. Chris nods and flashes her a grin. He has used that same smile with woman many times. "You have Andrew; Andrew means the world to me, why wouldn't I want to get to know you?" Savannah blushes. "You're very kind," she tells him, trying to not be attracted to him but finds herself failing. "Look, I know you can't stay long because you have a sitter with Andrew. But I'd like to take you out, for real. Dinner and drinks. What do you say?" Savannah gulps; should she really accept a date with the man who was believed to be Andrew's father? Her head is telling her no but when she looks up and sees Chris flash his smile again she finds herself nodding. "I'd like that very much." *** Adam moves towards the bar looking to pick up his take out. He takes a deep breath knowing that he is going home to eat alone this evening as Helen has taken off to Baltimore to visit her parents for the first time. He wishes that Shane was around so he could talk to his friend about Helen going away but Shane is on his honeymoon with Natasha. There's something inside Adam's head that Helen's trip to see her parents may not work out exactly the way she wants it too. The last thing he wants is for his wife to get her hopes up, only for them to be dashed away. As he sits at the bar, he pulls out his telephone to see if he has heard from Helen yet. "No new messages," he whispers to himself, suddenly wondering if he should have gone with his wife to Baltimore. "I know she wanted to do this alone but what if it's not what she thinks it should be?" he asks him, his worry growing. "Here's your order," a waitress comes up to the bar and passes Adam a paper bag. "Enjoy." "Thank you," Adam replies to her as he stands up from the bar and takes a deep breath. "I hope you're okay Helen. I really do." Scene Four - Dominick's Townhouse "Eva told me about the patients dying at the hospital," Dominick begins to tell everyone, as Cory has continued to demand answers from everyone in Robin's bedroom. "I, of course, uncovered what William was doing to the patients." "I still don't think I did anything wrong," Will chimes in, as he sits in the corner still pale as a ghost. "So I approached him and gave him an ultimatum, help me or I would go to the authorities," Dominick reveals to everyone. "He blackmailed me," Will continues to defend himself. "You have to believe me Cory!" "Blackmailed Will to do what?" Cory asks, reeling from the admissions from everyone. "What does this have to do with Robin?" Dominick sighs. "I hated seeing you go through this," he slowly reveals to Cory. "I went through something so very similar with Felicia when she was starting to lose her mind years ago." "And you faked her death so no one would suffer anymore," Eva says, hoping that Cory will put the pieces together finally. Cory's eyes open wider in shock. "You weren't going to do that to Robin, weren't you?" he asks Dominick stunned. "Answer me Dominick! This entire infection was all a lie, wasn't it? Robin is perfectly healthy! You were going to fake her death?" Dominick looks back at his son in law. "I felt like I had no other choice. If Robin wasn't here, you could start to heal and she could go to an institution and get the help that she so desperately needs. I was doing this for you; I was doing this for Robin." "I can't believe this," Cory yells at him, feeling a ray of mixed emotions. "How dare you make these decisions for Robin and I! How dare you think you know what's best! Get the hell away from Robin, get away from my wife!" "Cory, please," Dominick starts to plead with Cory. "I said, get away from my wife," Cory grits his teeth while he hovers his wife's body. Scene Five - The Victors House; Vinny & Daisy's Home Meggan opens the door to Lukas' bedroom and sees her brother in his pj bottoms laying on his bed. "Can I come in?" she asks as she moves into the room and shuts the door behind herself. "Do you want to talk?" Lukas shrugs his shoulders and sits up in the bed, leaning his back against the headboard. "As long as this isn't a lecture about Dad, then by all means." "You're too old to get a lecture," Meggan smiles back to her brother as she sits on the edge of his bed. "But you know, you did come down pretty hard on him. It's not like you. He was just trying to help you settle in here." Lukas sighs and looks at his sister. "I know, I just wish she he would learn to leave me live my life. He's always been this way. He thinks he knows what's best for me when he doesn't know me at all." "How can you say that?" she asks her brother. "Dad knows us both very well." Lukas rolls his eyes. "Come on Meggan, even you have to be able to see it? There are things about myself that I haven't told you or Dad because I know the reaction that I'll get." Meggan shakes her head. "I don't know what you mean." "Like Dad telling me to go out with this Savannah girl " "I thought he was trying to be nice," Meggan justifies her father's actions. "You two are so clueless," Lukas replies standing up from the bed and moving around the room. "Clueless about what?" "Forget it," Lukas replies quickly as Meggan stands up and faces her brother. "I'm not going to forget it. Tell me what's going on," Meggan insists. "I'm gay Meg," he finally tells her in a whisper. "But you can't tell Dad. He would never understand." Meggan hugs her brother as she bites her lip trying not to cry. As much as she wants to tell him that Frederick would be okay with this news, a part of her believes that he wouldn't be. "Why didn't you tell me sooner? You know that I would have been okay with this?" "When would I have told you?" he asks her. "You moved away when you were young. I was alone with Dad and there just never seemed to be a good time to tell you." "You know this doesn't change how I feel about you, right?" she asks him. "I still love you, you're my baby brother." Lukas smiles back at her. "I love you too. But you can't tell Dad, promise me you won't say anything." Meggan gulps and then nods her head. "Of course, I won't say anything." Scene Six - Robertson Enterprises; Donovan's Office "These designs are really good Trenyce," Donovan tells his designer as they sit in his office reviewing her latest sketches. "I love how they are completely different from the last collection you did." Trenyce smiles, thrilled that he is happy with her work. "I always want my work to be different than before," she tells him. "I'm hoping that Dominick will agree that the next perfume should be a little bit darker. I've used a lot of black and navy," Trenyce points to some of the sketches. Donovan nods back to her. "That's a great idea, maybe a sexier scent to go with it." Trenyce stands up when she hears her cell phone ring. "Excuse me for a moment," she says to Donovan. "Hello," she says as she puts her phone to her ear. "Oh Chris," she says, turning her back to Donovan and making her voice quieter. "What's going on? You did what? I can't believe Savannah agreed to go out with you I don't know, I just hope you know what you're doing Okay, talk soon." "What was that all about?" Donovan asks her as he puts some files away. "Nothing important," Trenyce says with half a grin looking at her friend. "How are you doing?" "Me? I'm fine, why do you ask?" Trenyce chuckles. "Because it seems like whenever we chat, it's always about me and my drama. I really want to know what's going on with you." Donovan smiles as he moves over to a sofa in his office. He sits down and looks at her. "There's not much to tell other than I'm thinking of taking some good advice my sister has given me." "What kind of advice would that be?" Trenyce asks him as she comes and sits beside him. "Before I moved to Twin Peaks, I was involved with a guy when I was in Europe," Donovan admits to her. "Why have I never heard about this before?" Donovan laughs. "It's not something that I like to talk about," he admits to her. "I was really in love with this guy and it didn't end so well." "He broke your heart?" Donovan nods back to her. "Anyways, Victoria told me to me that it's start to let it go and move on." "I agree with Victoria," Trenyce tells her friend. "You're such a good guy, I want to see you happy with someone. I have a question though." "Shoot," he replies to her. "The fact that you're wanting to move on now," she begins to say to him. "Is it because there's a guy in your life now?" Donovan smiles, quickly thinking of Craig and their flirtations in recent weeks. "There may be," he admits to her. "I just need to get over my ex before I can move forward." Scene Seven - Baltimore Helen drives through a neighbourhood in her rental car. After flying to Baltimore, she picked up her rental car, bought a map and began driving her parent's house. She is still having a hard time believing that Madeline found where her parents are living. She only initially thought of looking for her parents after the entire mess with Casey, who pretended to be her brother. She feels bad that it has taken her so long to look for her family. "I just hope they welcome me back with open arms," she says as she makes a turn in the car. "They have to understand that I've lost my memory." She looks at her map again before she realizes that she's getting closer. "I think the house is just around the upcoming bend." She continues to drive around the bend and sees a house with an outside light on. She parks the car and looks at the house. "This is the address that Madeline gave me," she says to herself as she feels her heart skip a beat inside her chest. "This is it I'm about to go see my family." Scene Eight - Dominick's Townhouse "Everyone is upstairs," Rebecca tells Robbie, who is at the front door of the condo. "You won't believe everything that has happened, even if I told you." Robbie arches his eyebrow. "Well, I will need some information since Eva called me over to make an arrest." "Okay, I'll tell you on the way upstairs," Rebecca tells Robbie as they start to walk up the stairs. *** "Cory, please you have to calm down," Dominick tells him, as he moves closer to his son in law. "I don't have to do anything," Cory says, standing up from hovering over Robin's body. "You were going to take my wife away from me! You do not get to tell me how to behave right now." "What's going on in here?" Robbie asks everyone as he enters the bedroom. "Robbie? What are you doing here?" Dominick asks the police officer. "Eva called me to make an arrest," Robbie announces to everyone. "I told him everything on the way upstairs," Rebecca informs the crowd. Robbie looks around and then spots Will in the corner. "William Coutts, you're under arrest." "You can't do this," Will explains to Robbie. "I was only helping those people." Robbie handcuffs the young nurse. "Come on, you'll have to spend the night in jail. You can try to get a bail hearing tomorrow." "I was only helping them Eva! You have to believe me! You can't do this to me!" Will yells as Robbie halls him off. Eva covers her mouth in shock that she had to get her former lover arrested for murder. "Eva, you're in shock. You should lay down," Dominick tells her as he comes up to her. "I think I should go home," she replies to him, not wanting him to touch her. She can't believe the lengths he has gone to. "I'll drive you," Rebecca tells her. "You're in no shape to drive right now. Cory, I'll see you back at the Penthouse?" Cory nods to her. "I'm taking Robin with me." "No, you can't do that," Dominick says, turning his attention back to Cory. "And I told you, you have no more say in Robin. You tried to fake her death. You're despicable," Cory spits. "I'm taking my wife and you are to stay out of her life! You hear me? You stay away from me and Robin! You're out of our lives forever." Next
