on One Day at a Time Scene One - The Pampa Grill The guests have left the Pampa Grill as the wedding reception has wrapped up, sooner than expected because of Tyler's revelation that Frederick had been brain washing Felicia into believing she doesn't love Dominick anymore. Dominick and Tyler took an upset Felicia back to Dominick's because she didn't want to be alone. Eva looks around the venue and still can't believe that the truth came out; her only saving grace is that Frederick didn't announce that she knew about the brain washing and that she happened to get married to Dominick before the truth came out. So, for now, her marriage remains safe. "You're still here," she says softly to Frederick, who is sitting at a chair drinking some champagne. She moves closer to the doctor and she can see how visibly upset he is. She can understand; he thought he was doing something good and for a greater cause. "I thought you had left," she says even though she knows that he is drowning his sorrows. "Where would I go?" he asks her, not hiding his disappointment. "The woman I love hates me. You heard how Felicia spoke to me." "Hate is a strong word," she replies to him as she sits next to him. "Felicia is shocked, yes, but in time she will come around and remember everything you have been through together." "I don't know," he admits to her. "I just don't know." "This isn't like you, Frederick," Eva tells him. "You are always the one telling me to believe in love and good things will happen. You have to believe in yourself again. This isn't over, not by a long shot." "You're only saying that because you're married to Dominick," he manages to say. "You won tonight. And I, I lost tonight." "I did and that's because of you," she tells him. "And, that's part of the saving grace in all of this. I am still married to Dominick. You and Felicia you can work this out and be together." He looks up at her and nods. "You're right," he smiles. "You can help me. You have to help me get Felicia back." Eva stares back at him. "No, Frederick," she quickly says. "I can't do that. Dominick would suspect something if I tried anything." "Let me put it to you this way," he whispers back to her. "I will keep quiet about you knowing about the brainwashing if you help me get Felicia back. If you refuse, I'll go to Dominick with the truth." Scene Two - Tyler's Townhouse "I wasn't expecting to see you back here so soon," Trenyce tells Tyler as he opens the door to the town house and comes inside, looking exhausted. She moves over to the bar and pours him a whiskey and then passes it to him. "Thanks," he says as he takes a sip. "I left my Mom at my Dad's, she's in good hands. I still can't believe Frederick was brainwashing her." "I know, I was shocked myself," she replies to him. "I just wish I had got to the church before the wedding. I was hoping to tell everyone before Dominick married Eva. It could have changed anything." Tyler nods back to her. "Well, at least you were able to tell everyone the truth. I can't thank you enough for that." "I couldn't believe it when I heard it in the IPod," Trenyce admits to him. "I mean, who does that?" "Frederick," Tyler grits his teeth. "Let's not get upset about it again, okay?" she smiles back to him as she moves closer. "You know, I was waiting here so we could " "Yea, I know," he winks back to her. "I could really use that now, if you're game." She kisses him passionately and then looks at him with lust filled eyes. "I'm definitely game," she purrs before kissing him again. Scene Three - Dominick's Townhouse "How are you feeling? Can I get you anything?" Dominick asks Felicia, who is sitting on his sofa in a large sweater and some sweat pants. She's drinking a hot tea, trying to calm herself down. He still can't believe that Frederick was brainwashing Felicia into believing that she loved him. The entire reason that they divorced is because Felicia claimed that she didn't love him anymore; had this not happened, they may still be married today. That's a hard pill for him to swallow, since a few hours earlier, he married Eva. Felicia looks up at her ex-husband and smiles. "I just want to stay here tonight, if that's okay. I know it's your wedding night but I just don't want to leave." "Eva will understand," Dominick tells her. "Of course, you can stay here. You can stay as long as you'd like." "I just feel so used and betrayed," Felicia admits to him as she gets tears in her eyes. "I never believed Frederick would do this to me. I never would have divorced you, Dominick. I was so confused." "I never trusted that man," Dominick says back to her. "He was always so slimy." "How could I not know what he was up too though? How could I not see what he was doing? I was such a fool, I was a damn fool!" Dominick puts his arms around her and hugs her. "You're not a fool," he whispers in her ear. "And, I'm here now. And believe me when I tell you that no one will ever hurt you again. You'll be safe, I'll make sure of that." "I'm holding you to that," she says as he holds her, leaving him wondering how Eva will feel about these events. Scene Four - Twin Peaks Executive Hotel Rebecca steps off the elevator and moves towards the door of Caroline's hotel room. She came over, even though it's rather late, because Caroline texted her that she was cramping again. Rebecca recalls how recently she and Melissa were with Caroline when she started to cramp; it worries Rebecca because if anything happens to Caroline's baby, their entire plan to keep Cory and Robin apart will blow up in their faces. And, after everything they've been through, that would be the worst possible thing that could happen. She knocks on the door and it slowly opens. When Rebecca sees Caroline, she can see how pale she is and sees some bags under her eyes. "I came as soon as I could, how are you?" "The pains are sharp and fairly constant," Caroline admits to her as they close the door. Caroline moves back to the bed and lays down. "I don't know what's happening." "Should I call your doctor?" Rebecca asks her, trying to hide her worry. Caroline shakes her head no. "No, I should be fine. I just don't want to be alone." "What can I do?" she asks her. "I know I've said this before, but nothing can happen to this baby. Our entire plan is riding on this." "I know, I know," Caroline tells her. "Just sit with me, okay? The pains will pass. I know they will. They have too." Scene Five - The Pampa Grill "I'm glad I caught you before you left," Cory tells Robin as she gets ready to leave the restaurant. He saw his wife about to leave but wanted to see how she is dealing with everything that happened at the reception. Robin turns and looks at Cory. "Are you? I'm not sure why, Cory? I think we've said everything there is to say between us, don't you?' Cory runs his hands through his hair. "I wanted to see how you're holding up. I know it couldn't have been easy hearing that Frederick has been brainwashing Felicia. Dominick is still your Dad, after all." "I'm fine, I just hope everything resolves itself." "Yea, me too. If you need me for anything, you know I'm here for you, right?" Robin sighs heavily and looks back at him. "You need to stop with all of this!" she tells him. "I told you that we are over! You slept with my sister. There is no way I can get over that, Cory. You're going to have a baby with her! You need to focus your attention on her, not me. I wish you'd understand that!" "I will never give up on you Robin," Cory quickly tells her. "I love you too much to do that." "It's over," she repeats herself. "Please, just let me move on Cory. And you, you do the same." Scene Six - The Sugarbowl "I just don't think I can go back home now, Max," Dawn tells her friend as they sit in the back booth of the coffeehouse together, as she just finished telling him about when she decided to go home, she saw Chris and Helen coming downstairs, clearly fresh from having sex. "There's no way I can get over what my Mom is doing with Chris Michaels." Max takes a sip of his latte and looks back at her. "I can understand why," he admits to her. "But, this is still your family. You should do anything you can to try to make it work, shouldn't you?" Dawn smiles back at him. "Thanks for your support, but I just don't know." "Well, come stay with my Mom and I for a while, at least until you figure out where you're going. She's working so much, she won't even know you're there." Dawn can't help but smile back to her friend, thrilled by his offer. "Only if you're sure," she says as he nods back to her. "I'd really appreciate that, thank you. And, you should take your own advice." Max arches his eyebrow. "What do you mean by that?" "I mean, you always talk about your Mom but never your Dad. Maybe you should reach out to him. You know, save your family?" she tells him. "Yea, I don't think that'd go over very well," he quickly replies to her. "Well, think about it, okay? It's getting late, I'm going to hit the washroom, and then we'll head out?" "You bet, I'll be right here" he says as she stands up and moves towards the washroom. He sits alone for a moment, thinking about what Dawn just told him. He wonders if it is time that he reaches out to the man who gave him life. It's been so long since he's seen his father, he doesn't even know what he would say. But there must be something, he thinks to himself. Just then, he spots Adam come into the coffeehouse. He knows that the last few times he has seen Adam, he has tried to hide from him. But this time, he finds himself standing up and moving towards Adam. "Adam, hey," Max says, as Adam arches his eyebrow. "Do I know you?" Adam asks him. "You should know me, yea," Max replies to him. "I'm a good friend of Dawn's. I don't know that we've met before, officially." "Yea, I don't think so. It's good to finally put a face to the name." "So, you don't know me then?" Adam arches his eyebrow. "No, sorry, should I?" Scene Seven - The Pampa Grill "Are you blackmailing me?" Eva asks Frederick, shocked by what he just demanded from her. "No, just tit for tat," he tells her. "You help me, I'll help you." "I told you that Dominick would know something is going on if I suddenly decide to help you get Felicia back," Eva tells him. "I can't risk my marriage already." "You'll be risking your marriage if you don't help me," Frederick warns her. She shakes her head. "I'm sorry, but I can't do this. I can't help you get her back." "Suit yourself," he smiles back to her. "Don't say I didn't warn you." Next
