Scene One - Frederick's Office

Cassie opens the door to the medical offices and quickly moves inside as the air outside in the morning is rather chilly. She looks up the long flight of stairs heading up to her office and she wonders if Frederick is in his office already. The two share the upper level of the building for their respective practices and they often will say good morning to each other. Cassie doesn't know Frederick very well, but the times that they have spent together, she has enjoyed getting to know him.

She starts walking up the stairs and quickly notices that the door to Frederick's office is open, which is unusual because he often will keep the door closed regardless if he is with a patient or not. She arrives at the top of the stairs and looks behind the open door, but doesn't see anyone.

"Frederick?" she calls out, moving further into the office. "Are you here already this morning?"

She looks around and arches her eyebrow when she doesn't see the doctor anywhere. "That's odd," she whispers to herself. "His door is always closed."

She turns around and looks across the office to where the washroom is and the door is wide open, meaning Frederick isn't there either. She turns her head once more and happens to see something sticking out from behind Frederick's desk. Cassie gasps in horror when she realizes that it's a human hand. "Frederick?" she shrieks as she rushes behind his desk. The blood from Cassie's face drains as she sees Frederick laying in a large pool of his own blood. "Oh my god!" she screams in shock at the sight in front of her. "Frederick? Frederick!"

She reaches for the phone on his desk and dials 9-1-1. "Yes, this is Cassie Nova…I need an ambulance, now! Frederick Richardson has been shot, hurry, please!"

Scene Two - Robertson Enterprises; The Studio

"I had a chance to look over those prints from your first shoot," Robin smiles to Max as he wipes the lenses of a couple of the cameras that he gets to use while working there.

Max looks back at her and can't take his eyes off her for a moment. Robin's long hair is loosely curled today and she's wearing a rather short skirt and a white blouse. In his mind, he can't help but think she looks amazing. He still can't believe that he gets to see her every day; he just hopes that one day she will return the feelings that he has developed for her. He also wonders if she should act on these feelings he has for her

"How did they turn out?" he finally says back to her, eager to hear if he did a good job or not, and taking his mind off of the woman in front of him.

"Come look for yourself," she tells him, as he drops the cloth and moves next to her. When he gets closer to her, he can't help but take in a big inhaled breath, taking in her perfume which practically makes him fall into a trance.

"Well," he says back to her, focusing on the prints. "I like them, especially this one," he says as he points to a photo.

"You have a good eye," she smiles back to him. "That's the best one, for sure."

"So, you think I did a good job at my first shoot?"

"I'd say so," she tells him. "There's some work to be done so we can get more than just a couple of really good shots. Like this one," she points to one of the photo. "You clearly took the picture too soon. You can see Candy wasn't really in position."

"Yea," Max agrees with her. "As long as I'm not fired."

Robin chuckles back to him. "Of course not," she tells him. "Like I said, for your first shoot, these are pretty good. My father will be pleased."

"Good," he smiles back to her. "Cause I aim to please, in everything I do."

Robin looks back to him and their eyes lock for a moment, as she realizes that he's flirting with her again. She's about to reply, when they hear a knock on the door. She turns around and sees Cory standing there.

"I hope I'm not interrupting," he announces to his wife and Max.

"Cory," Robin says, surprised to see him. "I wasn't expecting to see you. What brings you here?"

"Can we have a moment?" Cory asks her, as she looks to Max and nods to him, giving him the okay to leave them alone.

"I'm going to go grab a coffee from the Sugarbowl, can I bring you one back?" Max asks her.

"No, I'm good, thanks Max," she smiles back to him before the young man leaves the studio. Robin looks over at Cory and sighs to him. "So, what brings you by?"

Cory looks back at her. "I think we have to talk, don't you? Now that we know the truth about your Mom and her sick plan, I think it's time we move forward. I want you to move back in with me."

Robin laughs at his suggestion. "You're kidding, right?"

Scene Three - The Pampa Grill

Natasha takes a sip of her coffee before she checks her phone again, hoping to hear from Cory about how his meeting with Robin went. She knows that her friend went to see his wife to see if they can get back together now that the truth about Melissa and Rebecca's plan came out about them using Caroline's baby to try to break Cory and Robin. While Natasha hopes that it works out the way that Cory wants, a part of her can't help but hope that the couple doesn't get back together. She has enjoyed Cory's company again while they both go through their difficult periods in their marriages, since they have leaned on one another. She knows that she signed the divorce papers so her marriage to Shane will be ending; if Cory and Robin get back together, Natasha is worried that she will be all alone again.

"I shouldn't be so selfish," she whispers to herself. "If Cory and Robin get back together, I will be happy for him. I have to be happy for him."

Before she can say anything else, she spots Shane walking towards her table. She braces herself for another visit with him, since they haven't exactly been seeing eye to eye lately. She only hopes that her signing the divorce papers means that they can start being civil again.

"Good morning," he says when he arrives at her table.

She nods back to him. "Morning," she replies to him. "I'm alone, if you'd like to have a seat."

"Thanks," he says as he sits across from her. "I'm glad I ran into you this morning."

"Are you?" she arches her eyebrow. "That's a different tune for you."

"I deserve that," he manages to say back to her. "Look, Natasha, I heard from Josh Levitt this morning. It's about our divorce."

"I signed the papers," she reveals to him. "I'm guessing that's what he told you?"

Shane shakes his head no. "Actually, the divorce has been finalized. We are no longer married."

Natasha feels herself feel faint from the news. "I…I can't believe it was so fast," she admits to him, thinking she just signed the papers the other day.

"Josh was able to expedite the process for me," he reveals to her, explaining the speed of the divorce.

"Right, of course he did," she snaps back at him. "Because you couldn't wait to not be married to me anymore."

"It's not that," Shane replies to her. "We went through a lot together, Natasha. A part of me will always care for you," he continues to say. "All morning, I've just been left wondering…"

She reaches over and grabs his hand, realizing how unfair she has been. "I'm so sorry, Shane. For whatever it's worth, I am sorry for my role in our marriage not working out, you have to know that."

He nods back to her. "I do," he whispers, trying not to get choked up. "And, I'm sorry too."

"How'd we get here?" she asks him, trying to put a smile on her face.

"I don't know," he admits to her. "But, if I'm honest with you, I wouldn't have gone on that ride with anyone else."

Natasha feels her eyes swell with water. "Me either, Shane. Me either."

Before either one can say anything else, Shane's phone rings. "Hello," he says into his phone. "What? Yea, I'll be right there."

"Shane?" Natasha asks concerned. "What's going on? Is everything okay?"

Shane looks back at her with concern. "It was the hospital, Frederick Richardson has been shot."

"What? My God," Natasha gasps in horror.

"I have to go," he says as he stands up.

"Of course, go, good luck," Natasha replies to him, her mind wondering about Frederick now and if he will be okay.

"I got your message, you sounded really upset," Chris announces to Helen as he reaches her table and sees her having a Bloody Mary for breakfast. It's not often that he sees Helen drink, so he knows that something must be going on with her.

"It's Dawn," she tells him before she takes a sip of her drink. "She's runaway again."

Chris looks back in surprise before he sits down across from her. "What?" he asks her in surprise. "I thought the court ordered her back to your house?"

"They did," Helen replies to him, as she sees him check his phone. "But, she saw us together the other day. She confronted me and then the next thing I knew, she was gone."

Chris checks his phone again before he sighs at her. "I'm so sorry," he manages to say. "This is all my fault."

Helen shakes her head no. "No, it's not our fault," she replies to him. "We are in a relationship of sorts now, she has to get used to that."

Chris checks his phone again. "Are you expecting a text or a phone call or something?" she finally asks him, a little annoyed that she doesn't have his fill attention.

"No, why?" he asks her back.

"Because you've checked your phone many times since you've been here," she reveals to him. "What's going on?"

Chris feels his heartbeat start to race a little but he shakes his head, his mind really on his meeting with Frederick the day before at his office. Things got heated and he, once again, ended up threating the doctor. "Nothing, nothing at all is going on," he lies to her as he puts a smile on his face. "Now, how are we going to find your daughter?"

Scene Four - The Sugarbowl

Max leaves the coffeehouse holding his latte in his hand. He wonders if he should head back to the studio now or if he should give Robin and Cory some more time to hash things out. He has heard that Cory and Robin are on the verge of breaking up, which secretly makes him very happy. He wants to ensure that Robin is solo so she can start to notice him more, which he is determined to make happen.

"I will make her realize that I'm a good guy," he whispers to himself. "She has to see that I could be the guy for her."

Before he can say or do anything else, he looks down the alley and sees Dawn curled into a ball by a large dumpster. He does a double take to make sure that it's his friend and he realizes that it really is her. He looks behind his shoulder to make sure no one sees him go into the alley, but quickly he walks up to her.

"Hey Dawn," he says coming up to her and taping her leg with his foot, causing her to wake up. "What the hell are you doing out here?"

"Max, hi," she says as her eyes open wider, surprised to see him in front of her.

"What are you doing?"

She looks at him and feels her cheeks turn a shade of red. She knows that she ran away from home because she hates that fact that Helen has been seeing Chris. Not only seeing him, but she really hates that her mother is sleeping with him in the house she grew up in. In Dawn's mind, that house will always belong to Helen and Adam, not her mother's new boyfriend.

"I ran away from home," she reveals to him as his eyes open wider in shock. "I didn't know where to go. I couldn't go back to the Calimo mansion and I can't stay with you, because of the court."

"But the court ordered you go home," he explains to her. "Why'd you leave?"

"Because my mother is acting like a whore," she snaps at him. "I won't go back there Max. I can't go back there as long as my mother is with that man."

"Oh Dawn," he replies to her. "What are you going to do? You can't stay out here forever, it's only going to get colder and snowier."

"I know," she admits to him. "But, I'll figure that out when it happens. Right now, could you buy me a coffee?"

Scene Five - Robertson Enterprises; The Studio

"Why would I be kidding?" Cory asks Robin as he moves a little closer to her. "The truth is out, Robin. Your mother and sister plotted to keep us apart. We can move past that now. I want you to move back home so we can start living our life again."

Robin shakes her head, surprised by what Cory is asking of her. "You just don't get it, do you?"

"I'm afraid I don't," he admits to her. "There is no baby, Robin. There never was."

"It was never about the baby," Robin replies to him quickly. "You slept with my sister, Cory!"

"I made a mistake, yes," he tells her. "But that ended so long ago."

"I can't get over that," she admits to him. "I can't get over the fact that while I was away fighting for my mental health, you slept with my sister."

"Robin," he starts to plead with her.

"No, Cory," she snaps at him. "Let me finish, okay?" she asks him as he nods back to her. "I get that I was gone for a long time. I understand that you were lonely, I really get that. But, of all the women you could have slept with, you chose my sister. My flesh and blood, do you know how disgusting that is?"

"I never meant to hurt you," he whispers back to her, feeling his heart break inside his chest as he realizes how upset Robin is with him.

"I know you didn't," she tells him. "But you have. And it's not something I can get over. We, we are over, Cory."

"You don't mean that," Cory pleads with her. "If you move home and just try to give us a chance."

Robin shakes her head no. "I want a divorce," she reveals to him. "That's how this will end. That's how we will end. I don't want to drag this out, I don't want to fight with you. But I also don't want to be married to you anymore."

Cory moves closer to her and grabs her hand. He can feel her shudder at his touch. "How did we get here?" he asks her as she shrugs her shoulders. "I don't stand in your way if you want a divorce. But just know, that I will always love you Robin. Nothing, not even a divorce will change that."

Robin nods as a tear falls down her cheek. "And a part of me will always love you too," she whispers back to him as she wipes her cheek dry. "But this is what I want."

"Very well," he tells her as he leans in and kisses her cheek. "I'll have my lawyer draw up the papers. I don't contest this."

"Thank you," she replies to him quickly.

Scene Six - Twin Peaks General Hospital

Cassie paces back and forth in the waiting room, desperate to hear something about Frederick's condition. After she called 9-1-1, she waited for the ambulance and then came to the hospital to ensure that he is okay. With all the blood he lost though, she just images that the worst is about to happen.

"He can't die," she tells herself. "He'll be fine, he has to be."

Before she can say anything else, someone else enters the waiting room.

"Cassie Nova?" a female police officer asks her as Cassie nods back to her.

"Yes, that's me," Cassie replies to her.

"I'm detective Simona Lopez," she says back to Cassie. "I'm going to be investing this shooting. You were the one who called 9-1-1, is that correct?"

Cassie nods back to her. "That is correct, I got to work and went upstairs. Frederick and I, we share the top floor of the building on main street," Cassie explains to her. "It was odd because Frederick's door was open and it's never open. So, I went inside and then I found him, laying on the ground."

"Did you see anyone else there?" Lopez asks her back.

"No, no one," Cassie admits to her. "There was just so much blood. My God, what if he doesn't make it?"

"Then this will be a murder investigation," Lopez informs her.

Before the cop can ask her anymore questions, Shane comes into the waiting room to see Cassie and Lopez standing there.

"Shane," Cassie looks at him. "How's Frederick?"

"He's alive," Shane replies to her. "Barely, he lost a lot of blood. He's on life support. We don't know if he will ever wake up again."

"My God," Cassie says in shock. "What should we do?"

"Call his family," Shane informs her. "They should be here, in case the worst happens."
