Scene One - City Hall

"How long will this take?" Daisy asks everyone who is in her office, as she is about to go on the local television station to make an announcement to the citizens of Twin Peaks. She has to announce that there is a state of emergency because everyone's worst fears have come true: the ice storm has officially hit Twin Peaks. Outside, rain is coming down quickly and immediately freezing into ice. By the end of the night, the entire town will be covered in a thick layer of ice. Still, Daisy knows that she is supposed to be at that Pampa Grill because Trenyce is throwing a Chris a party on the fact that all the charges against him have been dropped. She knows that going out isn't the best idea, but at least everyone can be safe at the restaurant together.

"Not too long," one of her advisors replies to her. "All you have to do is tell people that the ice storm is here and to be safe. Suggest that they don't drive and they stay in large groups until the storm passes."

Daisy nods back to her. "Yea, that sounds easy enough. Okay, I'm ready to go. I'm ready to tell people that the ice storm is here. Let's turn the camera's on."

Scene Two - Twin Peaks Police Department

"Do we still have that search warrant on the Richardson's estate?" Simona Lopez asks the officer sitting outside of her office. Simona realizes that because the shooting range collaborated with Chris' story that he was there on New Year's Eve, she was forced to drop the charges against him for killing Frederick. What that means, however, is that his killer is still at large. She knows that her main suspects were Chris and Lukas; so now that Chris is in the clear, she is going to resume going after Lukas, since he is now the main suspect. The fact that he wouldn't really even answer her questions when she was interrogating everyone makes him seem guilty.

"Yea, we do," the officer replies to Simona. "I have it here. It's still valid."

"Good, I'm going to head over there and see what I can find," Simona tells her as she grabs the legal document.

"Are you kidding me? It's freezing rain out there. I just heard on the news that the ice storm has officially hit. You'd be crazy to drive to the estate now."

Simona shakes her head. "The longer I wait, the longer a killer is on the loose. I'll be careful, but I have to do this tonight."

Scene Three - The Sugarbowl

"Are you almost done your hot chocolate? I think we should head back home sooner rather than later," Shelley tells Dawn as they sit in the back booth of the coffeehouse. Shelley can see from her seat that the rain is coming down heavily now, and she'd rather be at home during this ice storm.

Dawn turns around and looks outside and gets a grim look on her face by the weather that is happening outside. "Yea, I am. You're right; we shouldn't be here much longer. It's best to get home safe."

"You read my mind," Shelley winks at her. "Plus, in this weather, there's a lot we could do at home to kill the time."

Dawn chuckles a little. "I was going to ask you how you felt about what happened between us the other day. We haven't seen much of one another."

"I'm fine with it, it was great for me," Shelley explains to her quickly. "How are you feeling? I know it was a big step for you."

Dawn nods back to her. "It was a big step for sure, but long overdue. Like I said, I had been having those feelings for a while."

"Yea, but you were with me, someone much older than you. That doesn't bother you?'

"Not at all," Dawn tells her. "I'm attracted to you; I have been since we first met. The fact that you're so caring and generous, makes me more attracted to you, so no, I have no regrets about anything, Shelley."

"Good, I'm glad to hear that. Shall we go and continue this at home?'

Dawn winks back at her. "I'd love that."

They stand up and put their jackets on before they walk towards the door. Barbara watches her granddaughter leave with the older woman from a seat in corner. She watches them and gets an uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach.

"Something isn't right with Dawn and that woman," Barbara whispers to herself. "I don't like it, not one bit."

Scene Four - The Pampa Grill

"This place looks amazing," Chris tells Trenyce as they stand at the bar and each hold a glass of champagne, celebrating that the charges against Chris have been dropped in Frederick's murder case. "I can't believe you put all this together so quickly."

"It helps that my Aunt is the mayor of the city," Trenyce winks back to him. "But, seriously, I'm so glad that everything turned out. You have no idea how worried I was that you were going to go to jail for something you didn't do."

"I know, and you know how much I appreciate your support," Chris tells her before he hugs her. "I'll always be grateful."

Trenyce chuckles back to him. "Well, I rented out the entire restaurant to celebrate the good news. So, let's have a good time."

"Yea," Chris nods back to her. "I just hope this ice storm doesn't last too long. Otherwise, it might be a long night here."

"I wouldn't worry too much about the ice storm," Trenyce replies to him. "Let's just try to have a good time."

"I can drink t that!"

"I saw your news conference, you were great," Vinny tells Daisy as they stand by each other, trying to enjoy the party. "I'm not sure tonight having this party was the best idea though, with this ice storm happening."

"I couldn't agree more," Daisy agrees with her husband. "But, you know Trenyce, when she gets an idea, it's almost impossible to change mind. The good news is that we are all here together, so we know everyone we love is safe."

Vinny nods back to her. "That I agree with," he smiles back to her. "That includes Jemma."

Daisy uneasily rolls her eyes. "Yea, Jemma is here."

"When are you going to start to move on from everything, Daisy? She's your mother, you can finally have that relationship with her that you never thought you would get because you believed your mother died in the fire that Danielle started."

"I know!" Daisy snaps at him. "I just … how do you get over the fact that your entire life has been a lie? Jemma was raped and that's how I was conceived, do you have any idea what that does to me? How that makes me feel? That my mother was violated in that horrific way that resulted in me? I wasn't a product of love and respect; the opposite! So, damn it, forgive me, if I'm taking a while to understand this!"

Vinny pulls her into a hug. "I'm sorry," he whispers into her ear. "I didn't realize how much this was upsetting you."

Daisy lets a tear fall down her cheek. "I love Jemma, I really do. I just…I need time to realize who I am all over again."

"I understand," Vinny tells her as they exit their embrace. "Like I said, I'm sorry that I pressured you."

"Its fine," Daisy wipes her eyes dry. "I know you mean well. And, I know that you want Jemma to be in my life."

"How about we try to enjoy the rest of the party? We can continue this conversation later?"

"I'd love that," she smiles to him. "I could use a drink!"

***

"I'm glad you could make it," Chris announces to Helen as he comes up behind his lover. "I wasn't sure you would because of the storm."

Helen turns and faces him. "I wouldn't miss this for the world, you should know that."

Chris arches his eyebrow. "What's that look for?" she asks him before she takes a sip of her champagne.

"Well, if I'm honest, I wasn't sure what to think about you and I," Chris reveals to her. "You didn't come see me once while I was in jail."

"I know, and I'm sorry," Helen replies to him quickly. "The timing is all so ironic. I just spoke to Adam earlier and I was going to come and see you but then this happened, you were released."

"You had to talk to your ex-husband before you realized you should visit me?" Chris asks her in surprise. "That hurts me, actually."

"It's not that," Helen tries to explain. "It's just…"

"What?" Chris asks her. "Did you think I was guilty? Did you think I actually killed Frederick Richardson?"

"Chris, please," Helen tries to plead with him, but the fact that she didn't deny it tells Chris everything he needs to know.

"So it's true," he says with a chuckle. "You thought I was guilty. I can't believe this!"

"Chris, just listen to me!"

"Enjoy the party, Helen," Chris spits at her. "I'm going to hang out with people who believe in me."

***

"That looked like a heated conversation between you and Miss Daisy," Jemma tells Vinny as she comes up to him to grab a glass of champagne. "I sure hope there ain' trouble in paradise?"

"Not at all," Vinny replies to her before he has a sip of his bubbly beverage. "I was talking to her about you, remember how I told you I would try to get Daisy to forgive you?"

"You sure act fast," she says with a glimmer of hope in her eyes. "Did you get through to her? Is Miss Daisy about to forgive me, finally?"

"I'm afraid it's not that easy," Vinny informs her. "She's still really struggling with how she was conceived. It's hitting her really hard."

"Damn it," Jemma tries to keep her cool. "This is all Frederick's fault! Have I told you that I am sure glad that monster is dead and buried?"

Vinny arches his eyebrow, having never heard Jemma speak so cruelly about someone before. He knows that Frederick did a lot of horrible things to Jemma and her family, but this is a side of her that he hasn't been exposed to before.

"He can't hurt you any more, Jemma," Vinny tells her. "We should all try to focus on moving on now."

"He is hurtin' me though! Every day that Daisy can' forgive me, that man hurts me. And, I ain' sorry that he is dead. I ain' ever gonna apologize for that."

Scene Five - Twin Peaks General Hospital

"My God," Bob gasps as he just finished hearing Shane tell him and Eva that Jacob will require a lung transplant, and that Craig told him and Natasha that it might be difficult to find a donor because of how young Jacob is because there aren't many 3 ½ year olds that are in such poor health condition that they could or would donate. "I can't believe this is happening to my Grandson."

Eva wipes her eye dry, not able to remain calm from the news. "This is the worst possible thing that could have happened. Do they know what started this infection?"

Shane shakes his head no. "I wish I knew," he admits to them. "If only I had realized that something was wrong, I could have brought Jacob to the hospital sooner … maybe this wouldn't be happening."

"You can't blame yourself," Eva tells Shane as she hugs him. "You're a great father. Don't ever think anything different."

"I just feel so helpless," Shane admits to them.

"Well, you know I will do everything in my power to find a donor. I don't care what I have to do," Bob tells him. "My Grandson can't be lost over something like this."

"I appreciate you trying to help," Shane tells Bob as they shake hands.

"Where is Natasha?" Eva asks him, noticing that her daughter is not in the waiting room with them.

"She went for a walk," Shane tells them. "After we got out of our information session with Craig, she was pretty rocked. I think Cory is with her."

"I'm not leaving until I see her," Eva replies to them.

"Nor am I," Bob announces. "But, I should let Kimberly know what's happened. Excuse me for a moment, I'm going to call her."

Eva watches Bob leave the waiting room and then looks back at Shane. "You poor man," she pulls him into another hug. "We will get through this, I promise you. We will fight for Jacob."

***

"How are you holding up?" Cassie asks Natasha as she comes into the chapel and sees her rival kneeing down in front of the large cross.

Natasha slowly stands up and looks back at Cassie. She can't believe that her son is dying right now and that there is nothing that she can do to prevent it from happening other than hope and pray for a miracle. When Natasha looks forward and sees the woman who tortured her for so long, her blood boils. Even more so because she knows that Cassie was with Shane when they realized that Jacob wasn't breathing properly. In Natasha's mind, had Shane been alone, he would have noticed something was wrong sooner than later.

"How the hell do you think I'm holding up?" Natasha spits at her. "How would you feel if that was Max?"

"I would be devastated," Cassie admits to her. "I'm sorry, Natasha. I know you don't want to hear that from me, but I am sorry."

"You're damn right I don't want to hear that!" Natasha snaps at her. "Had you not been anywhere near my son, this might not have happened! Shane could have realized something was wrong with him and this could have been prevented!"

Cassie sighs and moves closer to her. "I know," she tells Natasha. "I get that you're upset and you want someone to blame. If you want to blame me, I won't stop you. Because, I can't imagine what this is doing to you."

Cassie's understanding of the situation makes Natasha's blood boil even more. She doesn't know why she wants to fight with her but she does. Cassie has taken that power away from her too. "I'm sorry, okay?" Natasha says through tears. "I'm just terrified. I'm so cared that my baby boy is going to die and there's nothing I can do to stop it!"

Cassie moves up closer again and slowly puts her arms around Natasha. "I know you're scared," she tells her. "I'm sorry. Just cry, let it all out. It's okay."

Without thinking, the tears flow from Natasha's eyes as Cassie holds in her the chapel, neither one knowing what will happen with Jacob.

Scene Six - The Richardson Estate; Meggan & Lukas' Home

"Have I mentioned to you how happy I am that you two have gotten back together after all this time?" Meggan asks Lukas and Donovan as they sit on the sofa holding each other's hands.

"No, but we appreciate that," Donovan tells her with a grin on his face. "I think we are both pretty happy too."

"Yea, we are," Lukas smiles back to him before they share a quick kiss on the lips.

"Hey, I'm not sure if you heard, but Lopez dropped all the charges against Chris Michaels," Meggan informs her brother. "Looks like we are back to square one with finding out who hurt our father."

"I know Chris pretty well through my friendship with Trenyce," Donovan tells them. "I can't say I'm surprised that he is off the hook. He might have a short temper but I never believed that he could actually take someone's life."

"Well, someone is still out there getting away with killing Dad," Lukas tells them. "I hope they figure that out soon."

"I doubt anything will happen until this crazy storm is over," Meggan replies to him. "I've never seen anything like this. As soon as the water hits anything, it freezes."

"It's going to make for some cool pictures," Donovan says back to her. "I mean, tomorrow when the rain stops."

Before anyone can say anything else, there's a knock on the front door. "Who could that be in this storm?" Meggan asks before she walks away. She moves to the front door and sees Simona standing on the other side. "Detective, what are you doing here in this storm?"

"I have a search warrant," Lopez tells her as she moves inside the foyer. "You don't mind if I look around, do you?"

"I'm not sure what this is about?" Lukas asks as he and Donovan come into the living room.

"I'm sure you've heard that we've released Chris Michaels," Simona replies to them. "Well, I'm here to see if I can find any evidence that might lead me to Frederick's killer."

"You won't find anything here," Lukas grits his teeth back to her. "But feel free to look around."

"You're smart to cooperate," Simona tells him as she moves back him.

"Hey, don't worry you," Donovan whispers back to Lukas. "You have nothing to hide, so this will be routine."

"Yea, you're right. That woman just gets under my skin," Lukas replies to her.

***

30 minutes pass and Simona comes back into the foyer, where Meggan, Lukas and Donovan are waiting. She has a plastic bag in her hand as she looks at them.

"What's in the bag?" Meggan asks her, as they stand up from the bench that is in the room.

"I found this gun in a cabinet in the living room," Simona announces to everyone.

"Yea, that gun has been in the family for years," Lukas informs her.

"Well, it looks like it might take the same bullets that were used to shoot your father in November. Nothing a few tests can't prove," Simona tells them. "And Lukas," she says looking at him. "I found these black gloves in your bedroom. Do they look familiar?"

"Uh, yea," Lukas says back to her. "They are my gloves. Why?"

"So, you wear them all the time?"

"I do."

"Interesting that I found them in the bottom drawer of your desk then," Simona replies to him. "Where no one would look for them. Again, I'm taking them to see what I can find after I run some tests."

Lukas gulps as he looks over at Meggan and Donovan, both who look concerned that Lukas might be in serious trouble with the police now.

"Uh, fine," Lukas manages to say. "You won't find anything because I didn't kill my father. And the longer you waste time on me, the longer the real killer is out there!"

"We'll see Mr. Richardson," Simona purses her lips together. "We'll be in touch. Stay safe in this storm, okay?"
