Scene One - Twin Peaks General Hospital

A nurse wheels Blake's hospital bed out of his room and into the hallway, leaving Kim and Tyler crying in the now empty hospital room. They exit their embrace and look at one another for a moment, still reeling from everything that is happening.

"Did we do the right thing?" Kim asks him through her tears, suddenly second guessing the idea that they are actually killing their child.

"He wasn't going to come back to us," Tyler replies to her. "So, yes. If this saves Jacob's life, it is for the best."

They slowly walk outside the room and into the hallway, where they can see Natasha, Shane, Cory, Cassie, Bob and Robbie all watching as Jacob and Blake are being taken into surgery. Kim can see the look of hope on Natasha and Shane's face, but it gives her such little relief from the pain she is feeling. She can see the family look over at her, but she can't face them right now. She turns the other direction and finds herself running away.

"Kim," Tyler calls out her name as she runs past him. "You shouldn't be alone right now."

***

"I can't imagine what Kim is going through right now," Natasha says to Cory and Shane, as they slowly walk back into the waiting room. "She basically just killed her son so my son could have a chance at living."

"Blake wasn't going to come back," Shane reminds her. "He was braindead. I know it was still a difficult decision, but he was already dead. I think they are being very brave."

"It doesn't change the fact that the family is going through hell right now," Cory tells them. "I'm not sure this is something they will ever get over."

"I think I'm going to go to the chapel and pray," Natasha replies to them. "I just want to pray that this surgery goes well and Jacob doesn't reject these lungs."

"I think that's a great idea," Shane tells her. "Do you mind if I join you?"

"I'd like that very much," Natasha grabs his hand. "We could get our little boy back. It's a miracle."

Shane wipes a tear from his eye. "Let's go pray for that miracle."

Scene Two - Twin Peaks Court House

"I really didn't want to leave the hospital this morning," Donovan tells Meggan as they stand outside the court house, waiting for Lukas' murder trial to begin. They still can't believe that the trial date was set so quickly, but they realize that Simona Lopez wants to put Lukas away for Frederick's murder because of all the bad press that the police received after Chris was wrongfully charged.

Meggan looks back at Donovan and nods her head. "I know," she agrees with him. "I can't imagine what everyone is going through. Kim and Tyler must be going through hell right now."

"Yea," Donovan says back to her. "The thing is, Lukas will be going through hell too if we don't get him out of this. Do you know if Josh Levitt has any evidence to show that Lukas didn't do this?"

"I haven't had time to talk to him," Meggan admits to him. "I know Josh and Lukas met yesterday after the rain had stopped and it was safe to drive again."

"So, we have no idea what is going to happen today?"

"I have to believe that Lukas won't go to jail for something he didn't do," Meggan tells him. "I have to believe that he won't be convicted of killing our father."

A few moments later, they sitting side by side as Lukas comes into the courtroom, wearing his orange jumpsuit. The bailiff walks him to his seat next to Josh Levitt. Josh immediately whispers something into Lukas' ear and he nods back to his lawyer.

"All rise, the honorable Judge Franklin Ross," the bailiff announces as Franklin walks up to his chair. "Case number 439912 the people vs. Lukas Richardson; court is now in session."

"You may be seated," Franklin tells everyone. "We are here today to hear opening statements in the murder trial for Dr. Frederick Richardson. Lukas Richardson, please stand," he continues to say, as Lukas stands up. "Mr. Richardson. How you plead?"

"Not guilty," Lukas replies to the Judge before he sits back down.

"Very well," Franklin notes. "Due to the quick turnaround time of the trial, the motion to waive the request for a jury has been granted. Ms. Kam, are you ready for your opening statements?"

Lois Kam stands up and quickly looks behind her at Simona Lopez and then nods back to the Judge. "I am," she purses her lips together.

"You may proceed."

"Your honor," she says walking out from behind her desk. "Lukas Richardson is a very angry young man. Why you ask? Well, he had been living a lie for years. He was a closeted homosexual and last fall, when he finally revealed to his father, the victim, Dr. Frederick Richardson, that he is in fact gay, Frederick didn't accept the news the way Lukas anticipated. Frederick, actually, threatened to disinherit Lukas. Now, Lukas was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, so the idea of not having the luxury that he was accustomed to, rocked his world. He went home, grabbed his family's gun, and confronted his father and then shot him. We have proof that Lukas used the weapon and the bullets that were found in the Dr. were the same bullets that Lukas' gun uses. Furthermore, Lukas has no alibi for New Year's Eve, when Frederick was then smothered to death. We have motive, weapon, and intent; this is an open and shut case."

"Mr. Levitt," Franklin looks over at Josh and Lukas. "Are you ready?"

"I am, your honor," Josh stands up and buttons up his jacket. "Open and shut case? Hardly. All the evidence against my client, Mr. Richardson, is circumstantial at best. And, I can prove that there were many other suspects that could have had intent and motive to kill Frederick. The fact that the TPPD and D.A. have falsely arrested a second innocent man is outrageous, and I will prove that."

Lukas turns around and looks at Donovan and Meggan, looking for some kind of hope that this will go his way. Donovan nods back to him and gives him a quick smile before Lukas turns back around. Meggan grabs Donovan's hand and then look at one another, each hoping that they can find hope within each other as well.

Scene Three - Twin Peaks General Hospital

"Hey, I'm glad I saw found you guys," Dawn announces to Helen, Barbara and Adam as she walks into a waiting room and sees her family all together. She isn't entirely sure why everyone is still at the hospital, but she has been thinking a lot about her life and she knows that she has to talk to her family about what is going on with her. The words that Cassie told her recently about not letting life pass her by without being honest has been sticking with her, so she knows that it is time to be honest with them.

"Dawn, what are you doing here?" Barbara asks her Granddaughter as she comes up to her and hugs her.

"I'm working," Dawn tells her. "I'm still a candy striper here, you know?"

"Yes, yes, how could I forget," Barbara replies to her. "Well, your mother and I are volunteering here today, since that the storm created so much extra work around here."

"Yes," Helen interjects. "And, then we just saw your father and he was going to give us an update on Blake and Jacob. Horrible, isn't it?"

"I can't believe it myself," Dawn tells them. "But, I know Craig, he's an amazing doctor. I think everything will work out the way it is supposed to."

"That's what we are all hoping for," Adam tells them. "So, you said you were happy to find us together. What's going on kiddo?"

"I want to call a family meeting," Dawn announces to them. "Once things settle down around here, I want us to all get together."

"What on earth is this about?" Barbara asks, as she clutches her cross necklace as she gets that feeling in the pit of her stomach again. She recalls how she told Helen that she felt like something bad was going to happen to their family, and the moment Dawn requested this family meeting, it returned to her.

"You guys will see," Dawn tries to smile back to them. "It's not a bad thing, I just want to tell you what's been going on with me. I promise I'm okay, but I do want to talk to you all."

"Yea, that's fine," Adam says back to her. "We will all be there, right?"

Helen and Barbara nod back to her. "Of course, sweetheart," Helen smiles back to her daughter.

"Great," Dawn replies to them. "If you'll excuse me, I have to get back to work now. I'll be in touch about when and where."

Barbara watches Dawn leave the room and shuts her eyes, as she holds her cross, praying that Dawn is fine and she has nothing to worry about, even though she still senses that something is very wrong.

"Hey, the rumors are true," Max says to Robin, as he comes up to her as she grabs a bottle of water from the cafeteria. "You are at the hospital today."

Robin smiles when she sees her co-worker, whom she has come to think of as a friend. "I'm here," she tells him before she takes a drink of her water.

"I heard about your nephew," Max says back to her. "I'm really sorry."

"I appreciate that," Robin replies to him. "I'm worried about my brother. I'm not sure how Tyler is going to handle this."

"You just being here for him is probably all he needs right now," Max tells her. "You have a really good way of making people feel better."

"I appreciate you saying that," Robin smiles back to him. "What about you? Why are you here?"

Max thinks back to seeing Robin and Adam sharing a kiss the previous day; he had been visiting with Cassie but after witnessing the kiss, he didn't want to leave the hospital. He knows that he has to think of a way to prevent Adam and Robin from growing closer so he can still have his chance with Robin. After all, why would Robin want to be with Adam when she could be with him?

"I was visiting my Mom," Max finally replies to her. "You know, she's been overprotective since Jacob has been in the hospital."

"She loves you," Robin nods back to him. "That's understandable."

"Yea, I love her too," Max admits to her. "She's given me everything I could ever ask for."

"It's sweet that you care so much about her," Robin tells him. "You're a good kid."

Max smiles back to her as he grabs her hand. "I'm you think so," he says back to her. "But, I'm not a kid."

Robin chuckles back to him. "Yea, you know what I mean."

"Yea, I do. Thanks," he squeezes her hand a little, as she smiles back to him.

"You're welcome," she tells him. "I should get back to my family. See if they need anything."

"Well, if you need anything," he tells her. "You know where to find me."

Daisy sits next to Jemma, who is still laying in her hospital bed unconscious, and looks at her mother. So many thoughts are racing through Daisy's mind; like how she feels like she just found out about Frederick and Jemma being her biological parents and now, Frederick is dead and Jemma is in the hospital fighting for her life. For so many years, she believed that her parents died in a fire that Danielle caused. She feels like it has been a sick twist of fate to find out that her parents are actually alive, only for months later, both of them could be dead again.

She shakes her head at the idea. She has never been upset that Frederick died because of all the horrible things that he did to her loved ones, including raping Jemma. But Jemma, is another story. She has loved Jemma her entire life; she was always the best Aunt that Daisy had growing up, and now she knows why. Jemma treated her like a daughter because that's exactly what she was.

"I don't care what the doctors say," Daisy whispers to Jemma, as a tear falls down her cheek. "You will wake up. You won't leave me, not when we just found one another, I mean truly found one another."

Daisy continues to look at Jemma, who doesn't move at all. Daisy was hoping that a plea to her mother would allow her to wake up, but she didn't get her miracle.

The door to Jemma's hospital room opens and Vinny steps inside; he watches Daisy and Jemma for a moment before he moves up behind his wife and puts his hands on her shoulders.

"You should come get some rest," he whispers to Daisy, who doesn't move.

"I can't leave her," Daisy replies to him. "I have to be here when she wakes up."

"Daisy…"

"Don't say it," she cuts him off. "Please don't say it. I have to believe that she will wake up. I can't think that God would give me my mother back only to take her away from me again."

Vinny hears Daisy let out a little sob. "At least come sit on the chair over here and try to get some rest. Please, Daisy, you have to try to get some sleep."

"I can't," she tells him as a tear falls down her cheek. "I have to be strong for my mother."

Vinny sighs and knows that there is no point in fighting with her right now. He just hopes that Daisy slowly understands that Jemma isn't going to wake up from her coma and that she will eventually get some rest. Until then, he will do whatever he can to support her.

Bob walks up to a waiting room, where he sees Dominick and Felicia hugging one another. He's about to turn around and leave, but something pulls Bob inside the waiting room. Felicia looks over and sees Bob entering and quickly exits the embrace with Dominick and starts to fix her hair and dries her eyes from the tears.

"I don't have time for this right now," Dominick whispers to Bob, not wanting to get into any sort of fight with his rival. His grandson is in surgery, dying, so Dominick really just wants to be with his family right now.

"I just came into express my deepest sympathies," Bob admits to them both. "As you know, without this operation, my Grandson would have died. I don't know what kind of sick twist of fate this is, but I am grateful that he has a chance to live. But, I realize that it means…"

"Please don't say the words," Dominick pleads with him, still struggling to come to terms with the death of Blake. He hates that this is happening to his family right now and the last thing he needs is to hear from Bob Calimo. "This is hard enough."

Bob nods back to him. "I'll leave you guys to be in peace," Bob whispers back to them. "Just know, that I truly am, very sorry."

Dominick looks back at Felicia, who starts to cry again as Bob exits the waiting room. Dominick moves back up to her and pulls her into another hug. "Why is this happening?" she asks him as he holds her.

"I wish I understood," Dominick tells her. "I wish I knew why any of this was happening."

Shane slowly opens the door to the chapel and let's Natasha walk inside before he follows her. They slowly walk down the small aisle before they turn and move over where they can light a candle. They each light a candle before they turn and move to the pew. They sit next to one another before Shane grabs her hand.

"God," he says out loud. "Please, if you are listening, please, let this operation be a success. Please, let Jacob accept Blake's lungs so our son can have a chance at life again."

"We feel so blessed," Natasha continues to say. "That Kim and Tyler agreed to this donation, please, don't let it go to waste."

Natasha looks at Shane and tries to smile as a tear falls down her cheek. "Thank you for being here with me," she whispers to him.

"Nat," he replies to her. "I wouldn't be anywhere else. This is our son. This is our Jacob."

She rests her head on his shoulder as she cries a little more. He puts his arm around her, drawing her in even closer to him. At the doorway of the chapel, Cory watches the two grow closer. As he stands there, all he can think of are the words that Cassie spoke to him, that maybe this crisis is bringing them even closer together.

***

Tyler races after Kim, who rushed off after Blake was taken into surgery. "Kim, wait, please," he calls out, as she finally stops running because she is out of breath. He catches up to her. "You shouldn't be alone right now."

Kim turns around to face him, still trying to get her heart rate down. "Don't you tell me what I should or shouldn't be!" she yells at him. "Because you know what? I am alone! The minute I agreed to this damn transplant, I became alone! Blake was the only thing I had in my life, don't you understand that?"

"That's not true," Tyler tries to tell her. "You have Andy, you have your job, you have…"

"None of them mean what Blake means to me!" Kim tells him as a tear falls down her cheek. "Blake, my son, my beautiful little boy is dead! And you know what? It's all your fault! You're the reason Blake is dead!"

"Kim," Tyler starts to protest to her.

"No," she cuts him off. "You blackmailed me into sleeping with you! You couldn't take the fact that I didn't love you anymore, so you did whatever you could to get me back. You're the reason this is happening! You're the reason Blake is dead!"

Tyler shakes his head as tears fill his eyes. He hates that she is telling him that it's his fault, but he can't deny that what she is saying is true. He looks at her as a tear falls down his cheek. "God, I'm so sorry," he gasps out. "What have I done?"

Kim lets a tear fall from her eye as she watches Tyler turn around and slowly walk away from her, not able to grasp what she just told him. She starts sobbing as she holds herself. She moves back until her back hits the wall and she slowly crumbles to the floor, realizing that the only person that knows what she is going through, she just pushed away.

"I really am alone," she cries to herself. "I'm all alone."
