Scene One - The Black House; Helen & Barbara's Home

Flashing red and blue lights illuminate the front of the Black house as the front door is open and Jonah's body is wheeled out on a gurney. Barbara stands in the living room shaking from all the events that have happened in the last few hours; she was doing laundry when she accidently found Helen's gun, shortly after, Jonah arrived on her doorstep and she invited realizing that he is the man who raped Dawn. She pulled the gun on Jonah, only to have Dawn walk in and convince her that violence wasn't the answer. Then, Jonah started rambling that he and Dawn were meant to be together and that he made her straight. Barbara and Dawn lashed out at him, but when he tried to grab Dawn, that's when Barbara snapped and shot Jonah twice, which killed him. Barbara can't believe that she has actually taken another human's life; it's something she never believed she would ever do.

She quickly grabs the cross that is on her necklace and she holds it tightly. She looks up and sees Dawn talking to Robbie, who arrived after Dawn called 9-1-1 after she realized that Jonah was dead. Barbara wonders what Dawn is telling the police officer.

"So, you knew this young man?" Robbie asks Dawn, as he is trying to piece this all together.

Dawn looks back at him with red eyes from tears that she has shed. "I knew Jonah, yes," she manages to say back to Robbie. "He was the summer bible camp that I went too."

"Okay," he replies to her. "What was he doing here? Did he tell you that he was coming to see you?"

"No, I had no idea," Dawn says back to him. "He was crazy, Robbie, I mean, he didn't get it at all."

"You aren't speaking clearly," Robbie informs her. "I have no idea what you are talking about. What didn't he get?"

"He raped me at the summer camp!" Dawn finally tells him as another tear falls down her cheek. "Then, he shows up here ranting and raving that we are meant to be together. He tried to grab me and that's when Barbara…"

Robbie uneasily looks back at her as he feels his heart sink hearing the story. He had no idea that Dawn had been attacked at the bible camp. "Who all knew that Jonah raped you?"

"My entire family," she whispers back to him. "I didn't want anyone to know, but a good friend convinced me to go to the hospital to get looked at, just to make sure I was physically okay. So, everyone knew. I couldn't keep it a secret."

"Okay," Robbie writes down some notes on his paper.

"What's going to happen to my Grandma?" Dawn asks him before she looks over at Barbara. "She's not in trouble is she?"

"One step at a time," he replies to her quickly. "First thing first, we have to call your parents and let them know what happened."

Dawn uneasily nods back to him, knowing that Adam and Helen will probably freak out when they hear what has happened.

"And then, we can talk to Barbara to see what will happen to her, okay?" Robbie asks her as Dawn nods as another tear falls down her cheek.

Scene Two - Twin Peaks General Hospital

"You have a lot of nerve showing up here as soon as Felicia wakes up so you can harass her with your nonsense!" Dominick grits his teeth to Simona, who has walked into Felicia's hospital room and asked to speak to her about the night of the fire at the boutique. Dominick knows that Simona believes that Felicia is responsible for starting the fire, but he maintains that there must be another explanation; he doesn't believe that Felicia would be capable of starting the boutique on fire.

"I am just doing my job, Mr. Robertson," Simona calmly tells him. "Now, we can do this two ways; the easy way would you stepping aside and letting me ask Felicia some questions. The difficult way, is where I arrest you for obstruction of justice and then I come back ask Felicia some questions. The common denominator would be I get to ask Felicia some questions."

"It's fine Dominick," Felicia reaches out to him and grabs his arm. "I'll be fine. I have nothing to hide."

Dominick glares back at Simona. "You better be quick," he warns her. "She's still recovering, for crying out loud."

"Come on darling," Eva pulls him away from Felicia's bed. "She's just trying to do her job."

"Mrs. Robertson," Simona moves closer to her. "Can you tell me what happened the night of the fire at the boutique?"

Felicia shakes her head a little. "I was just telling Dominick and Eva that I remember arriving at the boutique," Felicia looks back at the detective. "I was so upset with Dominick for his role in my Grandson's death… I started smashing jars of facial cream. But then, my mind goes blank. I don't remember anything else."

"Are you sure?" Simona asks her back. "Because, shortly after the fire started; were you so upset with Dominick that you set fire to the boutique?"

"I don't remember!" Felicia snaps back at her. "I told you, it's like my head just goes blank."

"It is possible, Simona, that is when Felicia suffered her head injury," Eva points out to her. "It would explain the memory loss."

"Don't tell me how to do my job," Simona replies to her before she looks back at Felicia. "If you remember anything else, please let me know as soon as possible. This is an arson investigation, it is very serious."

Felicia uneasily nods back to her. "Yes, of course I will."

Scene Three - Roboto; Bob's Office

"Well, Kimberly, are you going to tell me this idea of yours to make Felicia believe that she started the fire?" Bob asks her, as they stand in his office holding a brandy. Bob had told Kim that they had to come up with a way to ensure that Kim wasn't implicated in the fire at the boutique; since Bob heard Dominick and Eva talking that Felicia was a suspect, he thought that they should try to make it seem like she did start the fire.

Kim looks back at him with a twinkle in her eye. She never believed that she would actually think of something to pin the fire on Felicia, but what she has thought of is really brilliant. "The suspense is killing me," Bob chuckles back to her. "Come on, tell me!"

Kim laughs back to him. "Let's think about the last couple of years," she tells him. "When Frederick Richardson was still alive."

Bob looks back at her in confusion. "I'm not sure where you are going with this?"

"Frederick was brainwashing Felicia into believing that she didn't love Dominick anymore," Kim reminds him of the past.

"Yes, yes," Bob waves his hand in the air. "And, Eva went along with it. It's how they ended up married."

"The point is, Bob," Kim continues to tell him. "Felicia actually started to believe that she didn't love Dominick because of Frederick's brainwashing."

Bob's eyes suddenly light up with glee. "You're amazing," he laughs back to her. "You're right. All we have to do is brainwash Felicia into thinking she started the fire and…"

"I'm home free," Kim licks her lips back to him. "She will take the fall and no one will ever be the wiser."

Bob moves up to Kim and kisses her passionately. "I have never been so proud of you," he says as their lips part. "I could kiss you forever."

Kim moves back and slowly starts to unbutton her blouse. "Why don't you prove that to me?" she says, her eyes filled with lust as he moves closer to her and starts to kiss her again. "Make love to me, Bob. Please, make love to me."

Scene Four - Robertson Enterprises; Trenyce's Office

Trenyce sits at her desk looking over some new designs that she is creating for Robertson Enterprises. While she looks at them, she wonders when she will be able to start the creating process on the designs, since she assumes everything will be delayed with the fire at the boutique ruining a lot of existing products. She sighs as she sets the designs down back on her desk before she moves her hair behind her shoulders.

While she is glad to be at be at work, her mind is really on her personal life and how much of a mess it has become the last couple of days. She finally admitted to Chris that she had feelings for him, they had sex and he agreed to end things with Helen. However, when Trenyce showed up at Chris' place the morning after he told her that he was breaking things off with Helen, she caught them half naked. She can't believe that she allowed herself to be played by Chris again, because she knew that was always he played women.

"I was such a fool," she whispers to herself, as she hears a knock on her door. She turns and quickly sighs again when she sees Chris standing there. "What the hell do you want?"

"I think we should talk, don't you?" he asks her as he moves inside the office, causing Trenyce to stand up from her desk.

"I don't think we have anything to talk about," she admits to him.

Outside of her office, Andrew steps off the elevator and moves towards her office as he came to see how Trenyce was doing. He knows that what he did was a low blow to her, but he also knows that he will do anything to stick it to Chris. He just wishes Trenyce wasn't caught in the crossfire. As he approaches her door, he stops from going in as he can hear voices inside. He soon realizes that it is Chris and Trenyce, so he listens to what they are saying.

"Come on, T," Chris pleads with her. "I'm trying to tell you that I have no memory of what happened. You have to believe me!"

"Believe you?" Trenyce chuckles back to him. "Oh no, I don't have to do anything. You played me for a fool, just like I thought you would."

He comes up closer to her. "No," he tells her. "I wasn't playing you. I have feelings for you. We are so close to having everything we wanted."

"No, you threw that away when you slept with Helen again," she spits at him. "Now, get out of here, I have a lot of work to do."

"I'm not leaving until you hear me out," he says as he grabs her arm. She yanks her arm free from his clutches and then slaps him across the face. Andrew tries his hardest not to start to laugh by what he hears.

"I told you to get out of here," she grits her teeth back to him. "Now, get out before I call security."

Chris puts his hands up in defeat as he shakes his head at her. "Fine, I'll go," he tells her, causing Andrew to quickly hide in the hallway so Chris doesn't see him. "But this isn't over, Trenyce. Far from it."

Trenyce watches him leave before she runs her hand through her hair, trying to calm herself down from slapping him. Andrew watches Chris get on the elevator and gets a grin on his face, pleased that his plan has seemingly worked.

Scene Five - Twin Peaks General Hospital

"We are going to be having a young male brought in," Shane tells Victoria as they stand together at the nurses station in the center of the hospital. "Two gun shots, he's already dead."

"How young is young?" Victoria replies to him as she puts some files in a cabinet and then looks over at him.

"Police radio said he was between 20 and 22," Shane informs her.

"My God," Victoria gasps back to him. "So young to die. I wonder what happened."

"Yea, I'm not sure," Shane tells her. "But you are right, it is young. Hopefully the rest of our shift is relatively low-key."

"I agree," Victoria purses her lips together. "Has anything new happened with you and Cassie?"

"Not since we last spoke, no," he tells her. "She's supposed to meet me here a little later. I guess I can keep you posted?"

Victoria chuckles back to him. "Sure, I'm totally living my love life through you now!"

He laughs back to her. "You're a beautiful woman," he replies to her quickly. "You'll have a new man in your life very soon. I'm sure of it."

"You're sweet," she blushes back to him. "And, for the record, I think you could do a hell of a lot better than Cassie Nova!"

Shane laughs back to her. "Well, thanks. I guess that's a compliment."

"It definitely is," she winks back to him. "It definitely is."

Scene Six - Wild Night

"It seems really odd that Adam just ended things with you after the accident," Cory tells Robin as they sit next to one another at the bar that Cory owns. It's a quiet evening in the bar, probably because it is a week night, so he and Robin are catching up. He has grown to enjoy their friendship because he knows that when their marriage ended it could have turned out to be uglier.

Robin sighs as she takes a sip of her martini. "I know, something doesn't make sense," she replies to him. "I get the feeling that he's not telling me something about the accident, I just don't know it would be. And, I don't know why he would lie to me about it."

"Do you mind me asking what he told you for the reason that he ended things with you?"

"I don't know that I should say anything," Robin quickly tells him, not sure who all knows about Dawn's rape. "He is going through a family crisis right now though, and he used that as the excuse."

"I see," Cory nods back to him. "If you want my opinion, I would think that if he's in a bad place with his family, he would want you for support. No one likes to go through a dark time on their own."

"That's what I told him," Robin says back to him. "But, he still pushed me away. I don't know what to do."

"I think you have to find out the truth about what happened the night of the accident," Cory tells her. "And, what has happened to Adam since then. Obviously he isn't telling you something. That much is clear."

"Yea," Robin takes another sip of her martini. "Anyways, how are things with you and Natasha? A part of me can't believe that you two are married again."

Cory chuckles back to her. "I know, it seems like full circle in some ways. Actually, I think there's something you should know. And, I want you to hear it from me."

Robin arches her eyebrow as she looks back at him. "Okay?"

"Natasha and I are going to adopt a baby," Cory reveals to her. "We are on the wait list. I wanted to be the one to tell you since…"

"Since our baby was stillborn…" Robin finishes his thought as she puts a smile on her face. "I am happy for you, I really am. I am glad you told me."

"You're not upset?"

"How could I be?" Robin asks him. "You and Natasha deserve happiness; what happened to our daughter, happened a long time ago. We can't go back and change that now. And, that event shouldn't influence your future or even or present."

Cory leans over and hugs. "I'm so lucky that you're still in my life."

Robin uneasily smiles back to him. "After everything we have been through together, there's no way I wouldn't be in your life, Cory."

Scene Seven - The Pampa Grill

Natasha sits alone at the back table of the restaurant with a glass of wine in front of her. She has some work files on the table, but she is not focused on them at all. She is too focused on Cassie and Shane's relationship and how she can prove that Cassie is using Shane to get back at her. She knows that Cassie is up to no good, she can feel it in her bones.

"And, after everything that woman has put me through," she whispers to herself. "I think I know her pretty damn well. I just have to prove this. The question is, how can I prove that she is using Shane when he is so taken with her?"

She looks at to grab her wine and is shocked to see Shane and Cassie walk into the restaurant. "Oh great," she says as she rolls her eyes. "The last thing I want to do is see those two having a nice time together."

She grabs her wallet from her purse and leaves some cash on the table for her glass of wine. She quickly collects her files and then scurries out of the restaurant, leaving from the back door.

Shane and Cassie, meanwhile, are seated and they order some wine. Shane looks over at Cassie and smiles at her.

"You look beautiful tonight," he tells her.

"Thanks," she replies to him. "It's been a long day, so I appreciate the compliment."

"Just being honest," he tells her.

"So, I was hoping that we could maybe discuss Christmas," she replies to him before she takes a sip of her wine. "I mean, it is around the corner. Maybe we could make some plans?"

Shane uneasily sets his wine glass down. "I don't know if that's a good idea."

"Why not?" Cassie asks him back. "You don't have any family here; I just have Max. It might be nice to do something together. What am I missing?"

"Well, I might head to New York to see Jacob," Shane replies to her. "I'd have to talk to Natasha."

Cassie rolls her eyes. "Of course you do," she snaps at him, not realizing her tone. "I get that Jacob is your son, but it feels like more of the same with Natasha being in our relationship."

"I didn't mean it like that," Shane quickly tells her.

"I know you didn't, but guess what? It came across that way," she says as she stands up. "Look, I'm sorry. I'm tired. Like I said, it's been a long day. We'll talk tomorrow, okay?"

Before Shane can reply and ask her to stay, Cassie is walking away from his table. The only thing Shane can think of is how Victoria told him that he could do better than Cassie.

"Your text made it sound urgent," Daisy announces to Trenyce as she comes up to the table where her niece is sitting with a glass of wine in front of her. Daisy sits across from her and looks at Trenyce, wondering what could be troubling her. It's not often that she gets messages from Trenyce asking to meet her.

"You won't believe what a mess my life has become," Trenyce replies to her before she takes a sip of her wine. "Why is it that the best laid plans always seem to blow up in our faces?"

"Okay, you're going to have to explain all of this to me," Daisy tells her. "What exactly is going on?"

Trenyce tells Daisy the latest on-goings with Chris and Helen. "I hope it's not too weird that I had feelings for your ex-husband," Trenyce finishes telling Daisy everything.

"Oh goodness," Daisy quickly replies to her. "Chris and I were married so long ago, it was like another lifetime ago. That's not the point, here. The point is, are you sure that Chris and Helen had sex?"

Trenyce shrugs back to her. "How else can you explain both of them being half naked when I showed up at Chris' house? With Chris' history, it's the only thing that makes sense to me."

"Yea, I guess," Daisy takes a sip of her wine. "It's just odd that he said he can't remember. I am not justifying what he did, don't get me wrong. It just feels like there is more to this story than meets the eye."

"Well, I don't to hang around to find out what else there could be. He hurt me enough already. I can't back down that path. I just can't."

"I'm sorry that he hurt you," Daisy tells Trenyce. "I know it doesn't feel that way right now, but at least you found out now before you in too deep."

"Yea, I guess that's my saving grace. Because, there's no way I will ever forgive Chris for what he has done to me."

Scene Eight - The Sugarbowl

"I'm surprised to see you here tonight," Chris approaches Helen, who is sitting alone at the window bar with a latte in front of her. "I thought after last night you'd want a quiet night in."

"I do," she nods back to him. "I just wasn't ready to go home and face my mother yet. How about you? I'm guessing Trenyce isn't happy with you?"

"She's not," he sits next to her. "You know, Helen, the weird thing is that I don't remember going to bed. We only had one glass of wine each, I shouldn't have blacked out."

Helen arches her eyebrow back to him. "I was telling Trenyce the same thing," she reveals to him. "I don't remember anything after the glass of wine. I certainly don't remember you and I…"

"See, so something isn't adding up," Chris shakes in frustration. "I just don't know what it is."

"I wish I could help."

Chris looks back at her and smiles to her. "I'm sorry how this all played out, for the record," he tells her. "I did enjoy our time together. It's just…I don't know what it is about Trenyce…"

"You and I were never that serious," Helen tells him. "I'm a big girl, I'm okay. I just hope you can solve this riddle."

Before Chris can reply, Helen's cell phone starts to ring. "Excuse me for a moment," she says as she grabs her phone. "Hello….What? Is Dawn okay?...Yes, I'll be right there."

"Is Dawn okay?" Chris asks her concerned.

"I think so, but I have to go," Helen jumps up from her chair. "We'll talk soon?"

***

Trenyce comes into the coffeehouse and sees Helen quickly leaving; she gets out of her way because she doesn't want to rehash the situation with Chris with her right now. After seeing Daisy, Trenyce decided to grab a coffee because she has to go back to the office and focus on the designs that are still waiting for her.

She moves over to the coffee bar with her coffee to add some sugar and cream into her drink, when she turns her head and sees Andrew come into the Sugarbowl. She rushes over to the young man that she believed was her son for so many years.

"Andrew, hey," Trenyce smiles at him. "I haven't seen much of you lately, how are you?"

"I can't complain, how are you?"

"Been better, but I'm trying to remember what is important," Trenyce replies to him, quickly thinking about Jemma and how she is no longer with them.

"Can I help with anything?" Andrew asks her, knowing that she is upset because of the Chris situation.

"I wish you could," she tells him. "But I appreciate you asking. You know? You've really turned a new leaf, Andrew. I'm really proud of you."

Andrew uneasily smiles back to her, as he suddenly gets a feeling of guilt in his chest. "Thanks, I guess."

"No, I mean it. You should be proud of yourself as well. You've come a long way."

Scene Nine - Twin Peaks General Hospital

"I can't believe that woman," Dominick tells Eva and Felicia as he thinks about Simona Lopez questioning Felicia about the first. He just wants everyone to accept that there is no way Felicia had anything to do with the fire.

"She was just doing her job," Eva reminds him. "And, I don't think it was that bad. She seemed to believe that Felicia couldn't remember anything because of the head injury. Hopefully in time, you can remember more."

"I hope so too," Felicia nods back to her. Suddenly, Felicia shuts her eyes and she remembers being in the boutique. She sees herself throwing a jar of the facial cream against the wall; she then recalls looking outside and seeing a figure outside.

"My God," she gasps as she looks at Dominick. "I remember. I remember!" she says to him before she looks at Eva. "There was someone outside. I remember seeing someone outside of the boutique!"

Scene Ten - The Black House; Helen & Barbara's Home

"How are you holding up?" Dawn asks Barbara, who is still shaking and holding her cross necklace.

"I don't know, " Barbara trembles back to her. "I have never shot a gun before yet alone killed a young man. What have I done?"

"You saved me," Dawn replies to her. "I don't know what he would have done if you hadn't been here."

Barbara hugs Dawn and holds her for a moment. "It' s my fault he was in your life in the first place," she whispers to Dawn. "I wouldn't let him hurt you again. I couldn't do that to you."

They exit their embrace as Robbie approaches them. "Robbie, what is it? What is happening?" Dawn asks him.

"I have to do this," Robbie looks at both of them before he moves towards Barbara. "Barbara Mills, you are under arrest for the murder of Jonah Carter. Anything you say can and will be used against you…."

Barbara zones out as the rest of the rights are read and she is placed in handcuffs. Dawn puts her hand over her mouth as a tear falls down her cheek as she watches Barbara get walked out of the house towards the police car.

Next on One Day at a Time
