Episode Theme song: "Too Good
At Goodbyes" Sam Smith Previously
on One Day at a Time MW Investigations "I'm not interrupting, am I?" Jeff asks as he stands in the doorway of Meggan's office and he can see Meggan and Brad about to have lunch together. He knew that he had to come and see Meggan today because he finally knows that Leah has decided to stay with him instead of being with Robbie. In Jeff's mind, Meggan should hear the news from him. After everything they went through together, he owes her that much. "Not at all," Brad replies to Jeff, as he sets his food down on Meggan's desk. "Brad Lawson," he says as he extends his hand to shake Jeff's. "Jeff Claus," Jeff nods back to him. "Good to meet you." "Likewise." "Brad and I went to school together," Meggan tells Jeff, not sure why she feels like she has to explain her relationship with Brad to Jeff. "He's in town and we are just reconnecting." "That's great," Jeff smiles back to her. "Did you have a good New Years?" Meggan gulps knowing that Brad just told her to be honest with her baby's father that she is pregnant. Now, technically would be of time as any. "Yea, Brad and I just hung out. It was pretty low key. How was yours?" "That's why I'm here, actually," Jeff tells her. "I was hoping we could have a moment alone together?" "Yea, of course, sorry where are my manners?" Brad replies as he looks at Meggan. "We'll connect soon?" "Sure, sorry about lunch," she tells him. "Don't worry about it. Call me later." Jeff waits until Brad is out of the office before he looks back at Meggan. "Are you guys just friends?" "Why is that any of your business?" she asks him back. "Actually, forget I asked that. Yes, we are just friends." "Okay, I just want to make sure you're okay. Are you okay?" Jeff asks her, as Meggan looks back at him. "I'll be fine," Meggan replies to him. "But, I do have to tell you something, so I'm glad that you're here." The Pampa Grill "I'm glad I ran into you today," Victoria tells Craig as they sit across from one another at a table in the busy restaurant. Victoria is on a quick lunch break from the hospital and happened to see her co-worker walk in at the same time that she did, so she thought it would be nice for them to eat together. "I didn't want to eat and rush back to the hospital again." Craig chuckles back to her. "Yea, that song and dance can get pretty stale, hey?" "It's just nice to be with someone who understands," Victoria nods back to him. "How was your New Years?" Craig gulps thinking about how he had sex with Donovan, but in the morning Donovan confessed that he still has feelings for Lukas and he believed that getting involved with him would be a mistake. Of course, Craig can't reveal any of this to Victoria because he knows how close she is with her brother, Donovan. "It was uneventful," he tells her. "How about you?" "Yea, same with me," she replies to him. "Which is good because there seems to be enough excitement in Twin Peaks." Craig chuckles back to her. "Isn't that the truth?" "I'm sorry to interrupt," Robin says as she walks up to the table. "I hate to intrude, but Craig, do you think Victoria and I could have a moment alone?" "Uh, yea, sure," Craig says as he stands up from the table. "I'll go use the restroom." "Thanks, sorry again," Robin replies to him as she sits across from Victoria. "I have to talk to you, and it couldn't wait." Victoria arches her eyebrow. "You certainly have my attention," she says back to her. "What's going on?" "Well, you used to be engaged to Adam," Robin reminds Victoria of her past. "I'm just wondering if he ever just shut you out for no reason?" "Where is this coming from?" a confused Victoria asks her. "Adam and I, we have been growing closer," Robin reveals to her. "And, you remember his accident at the boutique last fall? Well, since then, he has shut me out. Ended our relationship and I have no idea why. He won't tell me anything other than that he needs to focus on his family right now. I'm just grasping for any straw to try to figure out what is happening." "I'm sorry Robin," Victoria tells her. "I wish I could help but I really can't." "He never did this to you when you two were together?" "My entire relationship with Adam, I was suffering from multiple personalities," Victoria reminds her. "So, I actually have little memory of that time." Robin shakes her head realizing how insensitive she was being. "I'm sorry, I completely forgot." "Don't worry about it, it was a long time ago," Victoria replies to her. "I would just tell you to hang touch, maybe Adam is being honest. Maybe, once things settle down with his family, you two will get back together." "I hope so," Robin nods back to her. "I really hope so." *** "This has been a good late breakfast," Lukas smiles across the table to Andy, who just finished his eggs benedict. "I'm glad that you brought us here. I was hungrier than I thought." "I could tell," Andy winks back to him. "You barely came up for air." Lukas chuckles back to him. "Well, last night we both worked up a good appetite. It was amazing, by the way, last night, I mean." "Yea, you've mentioned that once or twice," Andy replies to him, recalling how they finally made love after weeks of flirting. "But, there is a reason why I wanted to bring you here today. And, more than just nourishment." "I'm all ears," Lukas tells him as he takes a sip of his coffee. "I had a good time last night with you, I really did," Andy begins to tell him. "And, I can tell that you're eager for this to happen again or for something more serious to happen." "I assumed it was what you wanted as well." Andy shakes his head. "You have to understand, this is all so new for me again. Being with you last night, you're the first guy I've allowed myself to be with since Reese died. I can't just jump into a relationship with anyone, or even have casual sex with someone. Not until I know I am ready for sure." "And, you're not ready?" "No," Andy admits to him. "It hit me this morning. I have all of these weird feelings inside, like in some way I am betraying Reese." "You're not," Lukas tells him. "He would want you to be happy." "I know," Andy nods back to him. "That's what everyone says. But everyone around me didn't lose their husband. Only I can tell you how I am feeling, and this is how I'm feeling." "So, what are you saying? You don't want to see me again?" Lukas asks him, trying to not get his hopes up too much. "I'm saying while I enjoyed last night, I don't know if or when it will happen again," Andy tells him. "I'm sorry, I don't want to lead you on." "I get it," Lukas forces a smile on his face. "Just know that I'm really into you and I had a good time. But I can respect what you're going through." Andy reaches over and grabs his hand. "Thanks, I really appreciate that." Craig, meanwhile, emerges from the washroom and sees Lukas and Andy sitting across from one another holding hands. He quickly recalls how Andy told him that he and Lukas had shared some stolen kisses. "I guess they are together now," Craig whispers to himself, wondering if Donovan knew this information if things between them could be different. Twin Peaks Police Department "Thanks for meeting me here today, I certainly didn't want to do this alone," Helen looks over at Adam as they wait in Simona Lopez's office for the detective to arrive. Helen arrived to get an update on Barbara and if she could be processed for bail now that the holidays are over; she has been going through so much that she didn't want to do it alone, which is why she is glad that Adam is with her today. "Of course," Adam nods back to her. "What Barbara did, she did to save Dawn from Jonah. There's no way that I will make you go through this alone." "I appreciate that," Helen smiles back to him. "Before Simona gets here, what's the latest with you and Robin? Have you finally decided to tell her that you're impotent and that's why you ended things with her?" Adam shakes his head no. "It's just for the best that she doesn't know," Adam sighs. "Maybe one day, I'll be normal again and things can get back on track, but I don't want her to know. I just want her to move on." "That's easier said than done, you know," Helen informs him. Before Adam can reply, Simona opens the door to her office and scurries inside. "Sorry about the wait," she says as she moves around to the other side of her desk. "We are up to our eyes in paper work around here." "It's fine," Helen replies to her. "I want to know when my Mother can be released." "She killed a man and has continued to announce her guilt, I'm not sure she should be released." "That's not acceptable," Adam chimes in. "The man she killed raped our daughter! She was acting in self-defense." "Look, I don't want to keep Barbara here if I don't have too. I can look into your claims about Dawn and see if the DA will be willing to make any offers." "That's all we are asking," Helen pleads with her. "My Mother can't stay in jail. She just can't." Family Plan Clinic "Are you sure you're ready to do this?" Shelley asks Dawn as they sit in the waiting room of the small family clinic. Shelley can tell by the look on Dawn's face that she is scared to death about what she is about to do: abort her unborn child. Deep down, Shelley knows that this is for the best, however, because the baby was produced by a very violent attack on Dawn. She knows that Dawn is so young that the baby could be ruining her future. "I don't know," Dawn admits to her. "Being in the exam room a few minutes ago, I just hate how they touch me. I just get so uncomfortable," recalling the pre-examination she just went through. "I know," Shelley grabs her hand and squeezes it. "It's not too late to back out, you know?" A single tear falls down Dawn's cheek. She quickly wipes it away before she looks at her friend. "No, I can suffer through being uncomfortable for short time. But, if I have Jonah's baby, that will stay with me forever. Just promise me something?" "Anything," Shelley nods back to her. "Don't leave my side. Stay with me?" Before Shelley can reply, a nurse comes into the waiting room. "Dawn, we are ready for you now." Dawn slowly stands up and looks back at Shelley. She reaches for Shelley's hand, she grabs it and they slowly walk towards the nurse, bracing themselves for what is about to happen. Roboto; Bob's Office "I don't think it's a very good idea Kimberly!" Bob yells at her as he pours a brandy from the bar in his office, trying to comprehend that she is suggesting that they hire Tyler at Roboto. "Do you realize the kind of damage Tyler Robertson could do to my company if he is working here?" Kim sighs and tries to calm herself down. She knew that Bob would likely have this reaction to the news that she has hired Tyler at Roboto; now, she just has to make him see the positives. "Yes, there is a risk," Kim replies to him. "But, darling, think of the pros to this. First of all, think about Dominick's reaction when he finds out his son is working for us. It will simply drive him crazy. And, you know that Tyler is out for blood with Dominick as well because of his role in Blake's death. He will be very motivated to help Roboto succeed. And lastly, having Tyler around will be good for us to constantly get updates on how Felicia is doing." Bob takes a healthy sip of his brandy before he looks back at Kim. "All three points are very fair," he tells her. "I'll tell you what? I'll agree to this on a very short term basis, but if I get one inkling that he is messing around with this company, I'll throw his sorry ass out!" "I'm so pleased you see things my way," Kim comes up to Bob and kisses him. "The first thing I'll ask him is for an update on Felicia. We have to find out if the device you planted in her hospital room is working; we have to know if she will confess to starting the fire at the boutique." "I have no doubt that she will," Bob smiles back to her. "Like I told you, I won't let you be punished for this. Felicia will take the fall, mark my words." Twin Peaks General Hospital "Has there been any change with Mom?" Tyler asks Dominick and Eva as he walks into Felicia's hospital room and sees his mother still asleep in her bed. "She should be waking up soon," Eva stands up from her hair and tells him. "They sedate her over night to ensure she is getting enough rest." "Good, well before she wakes up, I guess I can tell you both my news," Tyler looks over at his father. "I've accepted a new job and I'm starting immediately." Dominick arches his eyebrow, wondering where his son is going to work now since he quit working at Robertson Enterprises. "Don't keep us in suspense, where are you working?" "Roboto," Tyler announces to them, as Eva covers her mouth in shock. "You can't be serious!" Dominick tries to refrain from raising his voice. "You're going to work for Bob Calimo? After everything that man has done to this family?" "He's not the only one who has created chaos in this family," Tyler spits back to him, knowing that Dominick played a role in Blake's death. "And, I'll be working with Kim. Her and I have a good relationship." "I hope you know what you're doing," Eva tells him. "Because, Bob can be ruthless, especially to this family." "I'm going to do whatever I can to ensure Roboto is the most successful cosmetics company in the world," Tyler eyes Dominick. "That's what my goal." Before Dominick can reply, they hear Felicia start to mumble. "I think she's waking up," Eva tells them. Dominick moves to Felicia's bedside as she slowly opens her eyes. "Good morning," he smiles to her. "How did you sleep." It takes a moment for Felicia to realize where she is, but soon she sits up in bed with a harsh jolt. "What is it? What is it Mom?" Tyler asks her, realizing that something is wrong. "I did it," Felicia's lower lip trembles. "I started the fire at the boutique! It was me!" The Sugarbowl Cheresa sits at the window bar with a latte in front of her, wondering how things are going with Dawn. She can tell that something is going on with her friend just based on her recent discussions with Dawn; she just hopes that everything is okay. Cheresa picks up her latte and takes a slow sip of it as she pulls out her cell phone. She starts typing a text message to Dawn. "Thinking of you - hope all is well. Let's get together soon?" She sets her phone down and sighs a little more. Suddenly, she hears a voice from behind her. "Well, well, well, if it isn't my beautiful sister." Cheresa turns around and sees Brad standing behind her. "Brad! Hey," she stands up and hugs her brother. "How are you?" "Good, how is my adopted sister doing?" Cheresa rolls her eyes, knowing that Brad likes to mention that she is adopted just to push her buttons. "I'm fine, how are you? Have you seen Mom and Dad lately?" "Nah, but I should head over to the house soon to see them. Have you seen them?" "Considering I'm living there, yea I saw them this morning. Dad is still busy with work at Raven's Meadow and Mom is trying to find herself again." Brad chuckles back to her. "Same old, same old, huh?" "Yea, but I'm glad I ran into you," Cheresa tells him. "We have to get together more often." "Does that mean we should invite Abby too?" he asks her, thinking of their other sister. "Probably," Cheresa smiles back to him. "Come on, it could be fun?" "It would be. It's nice to see my favorite two girls." *** In the back booth, Leah sits down across from Paige and passes her a hot chocolate. Leah looks at her daughter and knows that she has to tell her daughter that she has decided to make her marriage to Jeff work; Leah wants Paige to hear the news from her vs. hearing it from someone else. After all, Paige's family is about to be reunited after all this time. "Thanks for the hot chocolate," Paige says as she takes a sip of the drink. "I need it today, it's so cold outside." "I know it is," Leah nods back to her. "We are about half way through winter though, that's the good news." "I'm ready for summer," Paige chuckles back to her. "I just hope it's a better summer than last year's." "I think it will be," Leah smiles back to her. "I have news that might guarantee it." Paige arches her eyebrow. "Now you have my attention," Paige tells her. "What is this news, Mom?" "You remember how before the holidays I was struggling with who I wanted to spend my future with?" Leah asks her as Paige nods back to her mom. "Well, I told your father that I want to make our marriage work. I've decided to be with Jeff." "Really?" Paige asks in disbelief. "You want our family to be together?" "That's what I'm saying," Leah smiles back to her as Paige jumps out of her seat and rushes over to hug Leah. "I take it you're happy about this?" "I've never been so happy in my life! This is the best news I've had in a very long time. Thank you Mom," Paige says looking into her eyes. "Thank you for putting our family back together." Twin Peaks General Hospital; Victoria's Office Robbie pauses as he reaches the door to Victoria's office and takes a deep breath. He knows that Natasha encouraged him to reach out to Victoria to see if she will give him one more chance now that Leah has decided to be with Jeff. He doesn't know if it is the right thing to do because Victoria has made it very clear that she is over the situation, but Robbie also knows that he and Victoria shared something very special at one time, so he will attempt to make her understand one more time. After exhaling, he knocks on the door and opens the door after he hears a faint, "Come in." Robbie looks at Victoria behind her desk and smiles at her. "Vic, hey," he says as he closes the door behind him. "I hope you don't mind me showing up. I found out you were working the day shift." "It's fine," Victoria replies to him. "I'm surprised to see you though, I thought we had said everything that there was to be said." Robbie uneasily sighs back to her. "I know," he admits to her. "But, something has happened and I just wanted you to hear it from me." "What has happened?" Victoria asks him, wondering if everything is okay. "Leah chose Jeff. She wants to make her marriage work." "Ah," Victoria stands up and moves over to a small corner of her office where she pours herself a glass of water. "Thank you for telling me this." "I guess I was hoping that now that this is over, we could try to put our relationship back together?" Robbie admits to her. "I know I'm asking a lot, but we did share something special, Victoria." "I can't deny that," Victoria replies to him as she moves up to him. "We did share something special." "Does that mean ?" "Let me finish," Victoria cuts him off. "We had something special, something some people never find," Victoria looks into his eyes. "But, I can't go back, Robbie. I can't pretend that this last year or so didn't happen. A part of me will always love you, but we are over. You have to accept that." Robbie gulps and looks back at her. "I'm sorry I hurt you," Robbie whispers back to her. "I never meant to do that." "I know," Victoria tries to smile back to him. "No one ever means for these things to happen. But, we have to move on from this, okay? Can you do that for me?" Robbie nods back to her. "A part of me will always love you too," he says back to her. "If you ever need anything from me, you know that I'm here." "Thanks," she tells him. "Go and spread your wings Robbie, life has so much to offer you. You just have to take that leap." Robbie nods back to her before he slowly leaves her office. After he's gone, Victoria clutches her heart and bites her lower lip. "I'm finally free," she whispers to herself. "But, it still hurts like hell." MW Investigations "I know you have something to tell me," Jeff looks back at Meggan, who is on the verge of telling him that she is pregnant with his child. "But, if you don't mind, I came here to tell you something and I feel like I have to tell you before I lose my nerve." Meggan pauses and stops herself from revealing the truth. "Okay, go ahead. What is it, Jeff? Is everything okay?" "Yea, everything is fine," he nods back to her, as he feels his heart move into this throat. "But, Leah has finally made her decision. She decided who she wanted to be with." "Don't keep me in suspense," Meggan replies to him. "Who did she pick?" "Me," Jeff whispers back to her. "She wants to make our marriage work." "Oh," Meggan turns her back to her Jeff and puts her hand on her stomach as she fights tears in her eyes. "And, what did you say to her?" "I'm going to try to make my marriage work," he tells her, as a tear falls down her cheek. "I wanted you to hear this from me instead of someone else." "Thank you," she tries to contain her emotions. "What was it that you wanted to tell me, Meggan? What's going on with you?" Family Plan Clinic In the medical room, Dawn sits on the hospital bed while Shelley is sitting in one of the chairs up against the wall. They sit in silence waiting for the doctor to come in to start the procedure of the abortion. "Dawn," a young female doctor opens the door. "Sorry to keep you waiting." "It's fine," Dawn replies to her. "Should I change into a medical gown or something?" "I'm afraid that won't be necessary," she tells her. "We ran some initial tests, as you know. And, we can't perform the abortion today after all." Dawn looks at Shelley in shock. "But, why? I don't think you understand I can't have this baby!" "I know your story," the doctor reminds her. "But, the tests confirm that you're 16 weeks along, the window for an abortion has closed already." Dawn lets a tear fall down her cheek as Shelley jumps up and hugs her. "I'm going to have this baby," she gasps in shock and horror. "I'm going to have my rapists child." Next
