The Black House; Helen, Barbara & Dawn's Home

"Would you like some more tea?" Helen asks Barbara, as she stands up from the sofa and realizes that the pot of tea that they shared is gone.

Barbara shakes her head back to her daughter. "No, I don't think so. I was actually thinking of maybe drawing a hot bath and then turning in. I haven't had a good night's sleep in weeks. Being in jail isn't exactly like going to a hotel or spa."

Helen chuckles back to her. "That's fair," she says as she pulls her mother into a hug. "I am so glad that you're home, Mom."

"Me too darling, me too."

As they exit their embrace, the doorbell rings. Barbara arches her eyebrow back to Helen. "Who on earth could that be at this hour?"

"I'll get it," Helen leaves the living room and moves into the foyer, opening the door when she arrives at it. "Adam, hi."

"Hey, I hope it's not too late," he says as he comes into the foyer of the home he lived in for so many years.

"Not at all," Helen replies to him, as Barbara comes into the foyer.

"Adam," Barbara says, looking at her former son in law.

"Hi!" Adam smiles back to her. "I hope you don't mind me dropping in this late. I heard that you were able to get out of jail and I wanted to come welcome you home. I was at Shane's birthday party but I wanted to stop by here before it got too late."

"I appreciate that," Barbara replies to him as they share a quick hug. "Thank you for everything you did to help me."

"Of course," Adam tells her as they exit their embrace. "That's what family does, right? And that's what I think we have to focus on now, putting this family back together."

"I couldn't agree more," Barbara nods back to him. "I was telling Helen earlier that we all have to focus on ensuring Dawn moves past this ordeal once and for all. We all have to help her with that."

"For the first time in a very long time, I feel like we are united as a family," Helen tells them. "And, it has been a long time in the making."

The Tower's; Floor Three; Shelley's Condo

"So, that's when Cheresa suggested that I give the baby up for adoption," Dawn relays her friends idea back to Shelley, who has returned to the condo with takeout food from Riverside Delicatessen.

Shelley finishes swallowing the piece of sandwich before she looks back at Dawn. She recalls how upset Dawn was when she couldn't have an abortion because she doesn't want to have Jonah's baby; Shelley can't blame her for being upset, and she hadn't even thought of the idea of adoption.

"How do you feel about the idea of carrying the baby to term and then having to give it up?" Shelley asks her.

Dawn looks over at Cheresa and then back to Shelley. "I mean, I guess I feel okay about it," she tells her. "I hadn't really thought about this as a possibility until Cheresa reminded me earlier that she is adopted."

"I've had a really good life with my adoptive parents," Cheresa chimes in. "I've often wondered about my biological parents, of course, but my parents are so great, I don't think I'd have my life any other way."

"Hearing that makes me think that I would be doing the baby a favor," Dawn tells her friends. "I know that I can't have this child. I have so much resentment towards Jonah, I'd fear that I'd put that on to my child, which wouldn't be fair."

"It sounds like you've made your decision," Shelley replies to her.

"I think it's the best option since I have to carry the baby to term," Dawn nods back to her.

"I have a friend at the hospital," Cheresa tells her. "A social worker. I can put you in touch with her. You should talk to her as soon as you can to get the process started."

Dawn nods back to her. "Thanks, I appreciate that. I guess there's just one last thing I have to do, and I can't really put it off much longer."

"What is that?" Shelley asks her.

"I have to tell my family that I'm pregnant," Dawn reveals to them. "They have to know that I'm pregnant and that I'm going to give the baby up for adoption."

The Claus House; Jeff, Leah & Paige's Home

"Are you terribly upset that we didn't go to Shane's birthday party?" Leah asks Jeff as she passes him a glass of red wine before she sits down next to him on the sofa.

He looks back at his wife and shakes his head no. "And miss the chance to have a nice night with you? Never."

"See, I knew there was a reason I decided to spend the rest of my life with you," she smiles back to him as she leans in and gives him a quick kiss on the lips.

"Speaking of that, why don't we look at a calendar and plan when we want to renew our vows?" he suggests to her. "When I asked you to marry me again, I meant sooner rather than later."

Leah chuckles back to her as she sets her wine glass down on the coffee table and picks up her IPad. "If you want to do it soon, how about March?" she says looking at the calendar App.

"March?" he asks her before he takes a sip of his wine. "You know that's in a month, right?"

"I know," she giggles back to him. "But if you want to do it sooner, why wait? There's nothing stopping us."

"You're right," he nods back to her. "Okay, March it is."

"We have a month to put together a wedding! What have I gotten myself into?"

He leans in and kisses her. "I don't know," he smiles as their lips part. "But I'll leave all the planning up to you."

"Gee, thanks," she laughs back to him.

The Richardson Estate; Meggan & Lukas' Home

Meggan slowly walks over to the front door having heard the doorbell chime. She has no idea who could be visiting her at this hour, although she hopes that it is Brad. The last time she saw him, she asked him if he would be the father of her baby; she knows that she is asking the impossible from him, but she can't tell Jeff the truth, not when he has finally decided to be with Leah. The last thing she wants is to put another wrinkle in his relationship with his wife.

She opens the door and gets a smile when she sees Brad on the other side. "How did you know that I was thinking about you?"

He moves inside the house and takes his jacket off. "Probably because you asked me a pretty serious question the last time we saw one another."

"I know, and I'm sorry," she quickly replies to him as they move into the living room. "I know I had no right to ask you to pretend to be my baby's father. It was extreme, I get that."

"I'm glad you realize that," he chuckles back to her. "I have to admit, no woman has ever asked me to be the father of her unborn child before."

"I'm sorry," she waves her hand in the air. "I don't know what I was thinking."

"I know what you were thinking," he looks back into her eyes. "You're scared because of everything you, Jeff and Leah have been through. You don't want to make anything more complicated than it already has been."

She uneasily nods back to him. "That's a safe assumption."

"Meg, you know that I've always had…feelings…for you, right?" Brad asks her as he grabs her hand.

She nods back to him. "That's why I know I shouldn't have asked you to be the father," she whispers back to him. "I shouldn't be taking advantage of the feelings you have for me."

"You're not," he stops her. "I'm here because I want to be. You know deep down, I do love you, Meggan."

"What are you saying?" she asks him as a tear falls down her cheek.

"I'll be the father of your baby," he looks into her eyes as he wipes her cheek dry. "We can tell everyone that we are together and that I got you pregnant."

"Oh Brad," she jumps into his arms. "Thank you, you have no idea what this means to me."

He holds her tightly. "I think I do," he whispers into her ear. "I think I do."

The Pampa Grill

Shane's birthday party continues swing in the restaurant. Friends, family & colleges drink, eat and mingle to celebrate their friend. Donovan grabs a glass of champagne as he scans the room trying to find his sister as he hasn't seen Victoria for a while and he wants to ensure that she is doing well. Instead of seeing her, he happens to see Lukas grabbing some finger foods. Donovan wonders if he should approach his ex; he knows that he last few times they have seen one another, Lukas has been rather cold to Donovan because of his confession in court last year. Donovan wishes that Lukas could move on from that, but accordingly to Craig, Lukas has moved on romantically with Andy. Donovan can't help but feel jaded by this as he told Craig he still had feelings for Lukas after they had sex on New Years Eve. Before Donovan can understand what he is doing, he approaches Lukas.

"Are you having fun at the party?" Donovan asks Lukas, who turns around and finishes taking a swig of his beer.

Lukas looks back at him. "Yea, it's a fun time. Are you having fun?"

Donovan nods back to him. "I doubt I'll stay long, but it's alright yea. I haven't seen you for a while. Did you have a nice holiday season?"

"Are we playing nice now?"

"Why wouldn't we?" Donovan asks him back. "It's a small town, we are bound to run into one another. I'd rather that we be on good terms than bad. Don't you?"

"You're right, I'm sorry," Lukas says back to him. "Even if we aren't together, we can be civil."

"Agreed," Donovan uneasily smiles back to him. "Besides, I hear you're with Andy now."

Lukas looks back at him in shock. "Did I say something wrong?" Donovan asks him, observing Lukas' reaction. Lukas wonders how Donovan heard about him and Andy because neither of them said anything to anyone, because in reality there is nothing to tell.

"No," Lukas finally says back to him. "Just, don't listen to everything you hear. I'm going to grab another beer. See you around?"

"Yea," Donovan wonders what just happened. "See you."

"Have you seen my wife?" Cory asks Shane as he comes up to him, passing Shane another beer. Cory knows that he wants to keep a close eye on Natasha during the party because she is gunning for Cassie and the last thing Cory wants is for Natasha to make a scene at the party.

"I haven't," Shane accepts the beer. "But thanks for the drink."

"Cheers, happy birthday," Cory replies to him as they toast one another.

"Thanks," Shane says back to him. "I still can't believe that Cassie went to all this trouble for me."

"It seems like she really cares about you."

"Seems that way, yea," Shane agrees with him.

"I just hope that this party proves to Natasha that Cassie is on the up and up. She has it in her mind that Cassie is using you," Cory tells him as Shane chuckles.

"She's told me that once or twice," he tells Cory. "But you know Natasha, she's so stubborn. Once she has something in her mind, it's almost impossible for her to change her mind."

Cory rolls his eyes. "I know," he replies to him. "I just hope that she can let it go. We have too much going good for us right now for her to ruin it by worrying about Cassie Nova."

"I hope for your sake that she can let it go," Shane says back to him. "Just don't count on it."

"Are you having a good time at my party?" Cassie asks Natasha as she grabs another glass of champagne.

Natasha closes her eyes for a moment and takes a deep breath. She knows that she has a recording of Cassie confessing that she is using Shane to get back at Natasha; the question is finding the right time to tell Shane the truth about Cassie, not that it should surprise anyone.

"I'm having a wonderful time," Natasha forces a smile on her face as she turns to face her rival. "Who knew that you could do something like this?"

"I guess I'm full of surprises," Cassie replies to her quickly. "Have you seen how happy Shane is tonight? He's thrilled with everything I've done for him."

"I have seen him," Natasha nods back to her. "And Cassie, don't worry, you're not the only one full of surprises tonight."

"What does that mean?"

"Just wait and see," Natasha purses her lips together.

"You better not do anything to ruin Shane's party," Cassie warns her.

"Or what? You're going to lock me in a cage in someone's basement? Oh wait, you've already done that," Natasha spits back to her. "You will never have any power over me again, Cassie. I'm just going to make sure that everyone knows that kind of woman you really are."

Before Cassie can reply, Natasha storms off determined to find Shane to reveal the truth to him about the woman who threw him his birthday party.

Robbie finishes his beer and he sets the empty bottle down on the bar. As he looks over at exit and sees Victoria grabbing her jacket before walking out the door. He recalls his last conversation with her where she refused to take him back despite Leah going back to Jeff. He knows that they had a close moment where they wished each other well, but he can't help but think that has to try one final time. He can't let her go without a fight. He finds himself moving towards the door and rushing into the cold, winter air.

"Vic, hey," he calls out, stopping her from getting into her car. "Are you okay to drive?"

"Yea, I only had a glass of wine," she replies to him. "I have to work tomorrow."

"Ah, okay," he says back to her. "Did you have a good time?"

"It was nice to see Shane enjoying himself. He doesn't often let people acknowledge his birthday."

"Do you want some company on your way home?"

She moves closer to him realizing what he is doing. "What are you doing?" she asks him. "I thought we agreed to move on the other day in my office."

"I know," he whispers back to her. "It's just …"

"No!" she screams at him, fed up that he is continuing to pursue her when she has made it clear that they are over. "You have to stop this! I can't take this anymore!"

"Vic, hey, calm down, okay?"

"Don't tell me to calm down!" she continues to yell at him. "I thought we could do this as civilized adults but you're giving me no choice! You have to stay the hell away from me! We are over, do you understand me? We are over!"

"Okay," Robbie puts his hands up in defeat. "I'm sorry I upset you."

"God, you should be sorry! You should be!" she screams back to him. "After everything you have done to me? Get away from me!"

Robbie quickly moves to his car, gets inside and covers his face with his hands, wondering what has happened between him and Victoria. He has never seen her so upset before. "What have I done?" he asks himself before he drives away quickly. Meanwhile, Victoria looks at her trembling hands, wondering why she snapped at Robbie like that.

"I need a drink," she whispers to herself before she moves back to the front door of the restaurant, the idea of leaving escaping her mind.

Back inside the restaurant, Vinny looks back at his watch and realizes that it's getting later and Daisy still hasn't arrived at the party. He pulls out his phone quickly and realizes that he hasn't missed any messages from his wife.

"I told myself that I'd give you twenty minutes," he whispers to himself as he starts to type a text message to her. "So, now I'm worried."

He looks at the message he wrote to his wife. "I'm at Shane's bday…where r u? Getting worried."

"Vinny? Is everything okay?" Trenyce asks him as she comes up to him. "You look pale."

Vinny puts his phone back into his pocket and looks at Trenyce. "I'm worried about your Aunt," he tells her. "She was supposed to meet me at the party and she's late."

"It's not like Daisy to be late," Trenyce replies to him quickly. "Are you sure you didn't get your signals crossed?"

"I'm sure," Vinny nods back to her. "I'm just hoping she got caught at work because of the upcoming election or traffic or something."

"Yea, I'm sure that's all it is," Trenyce tells him. "There must be an explanation."

Tyler's Townhouse

Daisy sits on Tyler's sofa and laughs at one of his jokes as he pours her another glass of wine. He moves back to the sofa and gives her the glass of wine.

"After this glass, I really should get going," she tells him, realizing how late it is getting.

"Really? It's so early," he pouts back to her.

She chuckles back to him. "I know, but I'm supposed to meet Vinny at Shane's birthday party."

"You don't like the party we are having here?"

"You won't be stopped," she puts her hand on his leg. "I've had fun tonight, Tyler. I really have. You were right, I had missed your company."

"I had missed you too," he leans into her. "I miss a lot of things about you."

"Oh yea?" she sets her wine glass down. "What else do you miss?"

He looks deep into her eyes. "Kissing you," he admits to her. "You have the softest lips in the world."

"You shouldn't be thinking about kissing me," she looks deeper into his eyes.

"I can't help it," he replies to her. "I think about it all the time."

"Are you thinking about it now?"

"Of course," he smiles to her. "Can I have one little kiss? Just to get me through the night?"

Daisy looks back at him and finds herself nodding yes. He leans in and kisses her softly. It only lasts for a moment before their lips part. They look at one another before they kiss again, this time with much more intent and passion.
