You" Kelly Clarkson Previously
on One Day at a Time St. Joseph's Church "I'm waiting Jeff," Leah glares at her husband as he has just arrived at the church for their wedding, despite her already cancelling the event because he is so late in arriving. He has barged in and requested that they still renew their vows, but Leah is determined to find out why he left her at the altar before she agrees to marry him again. She has never felt so humiliated in all of her life; to have to cancel the wedding in front of all of her friends and family is unacceptable. She has to get answers; she deserves to get answers. "Why are you so late? How could you leave me at the altar like this?" Jeff sighs and looks over at Dominick, who is standing behind his daughter with his arms folded across his chest. "Do you mind if Leah and I talk in private?" "I don't think that's a good idea," Dominick replies to him, knowing that Leah needs to have some kind of resolution. "You owe her, and all of us, an explanation, Jeffrey." "Daddy, it's fine," Leah turns to him and smiles. "Thank you for everything, but I can handle Jeff. Go, I know you want to see Mom before she's transferred to Raven's Meadow. Give her a kiss for me?" "Are you sure?" Dominick looks back at her as she nods. "I'm a call away if you need anything." "Thank you," she pulls him into a hug. "Tell Mom I'll come see her soon." "Okay, I will." Dominick glares at Jeff as he moves past Leah and exits the church. Leah turns her focus back to Jeff. "Okay, we are alone, start talking." Jeff nods back to her. "I'm sorry I was late," he tells her. "I just got I got caught up in memories at home. I was thinking of you and me and everything we've been through," he tells her as he comes up to her. He doesn't want to lie to her but he can't tell her he was with Meggan; she would never understand, especially since he is not the father of Meggan's unborn child. "I literally just lost track of time. I never meant to stand you up. I'm here now because I want to marry you again Leah. Let's not let my tardiness ruin this day." Leah moves up to him and looks him in the eyes, trying to determine if he is being honest with her or not. "I want to believe you." He grabs her hands and squeezes them. "I love you, do you still believe me?" She nods back to him. "Of course I do," she whispers back to him. "Then, how about it? Let's renew our vows?" Leah hugs him and whispers into his ears, "I'd love nothing more to marry you again." The Cascade Apartments; Apartment 305; Donovan's Apartment Donovan grunts loudly as he thrusts deep into Lukas one final time before he climaxes. When he's finished, he smiles as he looks down at Lukas. He slowly peels Lukas' legs off his shoulders and leans down and kisses him passionately, before rolling on to his side on to the bed and tries to catch his breath. "God, that was amazing," Donovan says through his racing heartbeat. Everything has seemingly happened so quickly in the last couple of hours from Andy arranging a romantic dinner for him and Lukas to finally clear the air; shortly after, Lukas and Donovan had made amends and were kissing, which escalated into hot sex between the two of them. Donovan has wanted this to happen for so long, he feels so good that he and Lukas are back at this state. "You're telling me," Lukas lays his head on Donovan's muscular chest. "I had missed you." "I had missed you too," Donovan grins back to him. "I guess we have Andy to thank for all of this." "And, we have one another," Lukas tells him. "If we weren't able to let go of the past, this couldn't happen." "But we did," Donovan looks at him, as he leans up and kisses Lukas again. "Let's not let anything come between us again, hey? Let's actually get this right this time?" "I'd like that," Lukas kisses him back before he hears his cell phone ping. He rolls over and grabs his jeans and pulls out his cell phone. He reads a text message from Meggan. "Do you mind if I take off? Meggan needs me." "She's okay, isn't she?" Donovan asks him. "It's a long story," he tells him. "I'll fill you in?" "Yea, of course," Donovan leans in and kisses him. "I'm glad tonight happened Lukas." "Me too," Lukas winks back to him as he pulls his shirt over top of his chest. Twin Peaks General Hospital "How are you actually doing?" Craig sits across from Shane in the hospital cafeteria, each on a quick break from their rounds. Craig is actually glad to be at the hospital today because he just saw Donovan and Lukas kissing at the Pampa Grill and he needs the distraction. He knew that they might get back together, but a part of him still wanted a relationship with Donovan to happen. "I heard about your birthday and everything that Cassie did." Shane sighs back to him. "Honestly, I'm fine," he tells his friend. "I mean, I feel like a complete idiot forever believing Cassie Nova again, but I guess the fact that I'm not that upset shows how much I really cared for her, you know? I mean, the sex was great, but outside of that " "Sex is a big part of a relationship." "But, it can't be the only thing," Shane replies to him. "So, yea, it stings a little, but I'll be fine. What about you? I thought you were trying to get back together with Donovan?" Victoria slowly opens the door to the cafeteria and hears her brother's name being mentioned between the two doctors. She hides behind the door, but keeps it open to hear what Craig is saying as she arches her eyebrow, curious to know what he has to say about Donovan now. "Donovan and I are over," Craig replies to him. "I saw him and Lukas kissing tonight. If you think you were played for a fool, then I must be the jackass. I was so dumb to ever think that I had a chance of breaking up that union. They have so much history." "Still must hurt." "Yea, it fucking sucks," Craig says. "But you know what, they deserve one another. I just have to move on." Victoria closes the door and shuts her eyes for a moment. She moves her hand to her temple before she opens her eyes and quickly walks away from the cafeteria door. *** Brad stops himself from walking past a waiting room in the hospital when he sees Max sitting in a chair. He looks at the young man and recalls how he recently met Max at the Pampa Grill and they had a good chat; of course, Brad knows that he followed Max there because he was hired by Robin to see if he could uncover the truth about Adam's accident at the boutique last fall. "Hey man," Brad says walking into the waiting room. "Is everything okay?" Max looks up from his cell phone that is in front of him. "Yea, everything is fine. My Mom is a therapist and she had a meeting at the hospital instead of her office, so I'm just waiting for her." "Ah, cool," Brad sits next to him. "I was worried that you were ill or something." "Nah, I'm good," Max replies to him. "What brings you here." "My girlfriend is pregnant," Brad nods back to him, knowing that he actually tracked Max down to further his investigation. "Just grabbing some prenatal care." "That's awesome, congratulations." "Thanks," Brad smiles back to him. "It took a lot for us to be together. We both had to do a lot to get to this point." Max arches his eyebrow back to him. "Do a lot? What do you mean?" Brad shrugs his shoulders. "Sometimes you do things that aren't always proud of to be with the woman you love," Brad tells him, as Max looks back at him with intent. "Why do I get the feeling that you know what I'm talking about?" "Because I do," Max reveals to him. "There was a girl, a woman, who I fell head over heels for and I did things that I'm not proud of." "Anything you share?" "Nah," Max laughs back to him, as Brad listens to everything he is saying and taking it all in. "But let's just say, I get what you're saying. There are things I wish I could take back. Events that have changed people's lives forever were started by me, and that's not a good feeling to have." *** "How is Victoria doing?" Dominick asks Eva, as they approach one another in the hallway outside of Felicia's hospital room. Dominick knows that his wife went to see her daughter right after the cancelled wedding because of her near rape on the pier. Eva sighs as thinks back to how rough Victoria looked. Of course, she knows that Victoria is internalizing it all, which is not good considering her past abuse with her father, Ernesto. "I'm afraid worse than I imagined. She's internalizing, which can't be good for her." "If I can do anything, you know that I am here for you," he pulls her into a hug. "Thank you. Are you ready for this?" Eva asks him, as they exit their embrace. "Felicia is about to be sent to Raven's Meadow." "As ready as I will ever be," Dominick replies to her. "I just hope we are doing the right thing." "We are," Tyler announces to his father, as he opens the door from his mother's room and walks out into the hallway. "We decided this at the family meeting. We have to do what's best for Mom." "I know you're right," Dominick tells his son. "I just have this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach." "What's done is done," Tyler replies to him. "We just have to pray Mom gets better now." Before anyone else can say anything, Craig appears in the hallway. "Mr. Robertson," he looks at Dominick. "It's time. It's time for Felicia to be transferred to Raven's Meadow." Raven's Meadow Kim slowly walks up to Greg's office and takes a deep breath, her mind swirling about how she should handle herself. She knows that she and Greg have met a few times at various charity events but now she will have to befriend him because she knows that she has to get information from him about Felicia. It is imperative that she and Bob know how Felicia is doing at the hospital; if Felicia suddenly starts to remember the actual events of the night of the fire, her and Bob's entire plan could blow up. She quickly applies one final application of lip stick, thinking she knows how she will handle the doctor. As she prepares to knock on Greg's office door, she sees the large diamond ring on her finger and smiles at the sight. Finally, after so many months, Bob has proposed to her and they will be married again. She just hopes the family is as happy as she is with the news. "Come in," she hears a voice call out after she knocks on the door. She opens the door and appears. "Kim Calimo, how are you?" Greg asks as he stands up from his desk and moves over to her. They kiss on both cheeks before he closes the door behind her. "Can I get you anything?" "No, thank you," she purses her lips back together. "You know, all the time I've known you, I've never been to your office before." "What do you think?" Greg asks her with a grin on his face. "I'd say you've done quite well for yourself," Kim smiles back to him. "Likewise, and you're looking great," he observes back to her. "So are you," she winks back to him. "I was hoping to steal a moment of your time." "For you, of course," he tells her as he asks her take a seat. She takes off her jacket, which reveals a low cut blouse on and she sits across from him. "What is this all about?" he asks her, as he sits in his chair but can't take his eyes off of her. Despite being a married man, he can't help but find Kim very attractive. "Roboto is about to launch a great new campaign, and I was hoping to have some of your financial support," she reveals to him. She opens her purse and passes him a mock-up of the Gen Next House, as she explains the concept. "Interesting," he nods back to her. "I believe my daughter is applying to be one of the models in this." Kim is still leaning over the desk, giving him a glimpse of her breasts. "I'd be willing to hire her, if we can count on you and your pocket book." Greg licks his lips. "I think that could be arranged, as long as I have meetings with you every so often to get an update on it. And, I'll expect a percentage." "I'll ensure you get those private meetings, doctor," she purrs as she stands up again. "I think this could be very beneficial for both of us." "I couldn't agree more," he stands up and slowly shakes her hand. "Very beneficial." "We'll be in touch," she looks into his eyes. "I'll have my lawyers draw up the contracts." "I await our next meeting," he tells her, trying to get the image of her breasts out of is mind. The Calimo Mansion "Dad, what was so urgent that you called us over here at this hour?" Robbie asks as he walks into the living room of the mansion with Natasha following him. Robbie is still feeling rather nervous being around Natasha because he has been having sex with Cassie in secret; he knows that he can't reveal anything to his family because they would lose it with his new choice of sexual partners. Still, he can't help but be really enjoying his time with Cassie. After everything he went through with Victoria and Leah, Cassie is a breath of fresh air. Bob looks at his children as he stands up from the air chair, knowing that his news might not go over so well. "Would either of you care for a drink?" "I'd love a glass of wine," Natasha says as she throws her purse down onto the sofa. "You guys won't believe the day I've had," she says as she thinks about how she and Cory went to meet the mother who wants to give her child up for adoption and it was revealed to be Dawn, who refused to give her child to Natasha because of her past affair with Adam. "I'll have one too," Robbie echoes Natasha. Bob pours some wine from the bar in the living room and passes his children the glasses. "Well, I'm sorry you had long days, but I have some news and I thought it was imperative that you hear it from me." "What is it?" Natasha asks him as she takes a sip of the red liquid. "Kimberly and I, we are engaged," Bob reveals to his children, as their mouths drop open. "We will be married. Sooner rather than later." "But Dad," Natasha stands up. "We just had that family breakfast and you said there was no announcement. We thought that it meant you guys were taking things slowly." "We have been going slowly," Bob informs her. "Until I asked her to marry me. She said yes. This is a good news story for this family. After everything this family went through last year, this has to be good news for everyone." "Forgive me, Dad," Robbie looks back to him. "But after everything you and Kim have been through, this is hardly a good news story. All you two do to one another is hurt each other. How is this good?" "All of that is in the past," Bob tells his children. "We are committed to one another and being happy." "I don't believe this," Natasha waves her hand in the air. "As if this day couldn't get any worse." "That's enough! From both of you," Bob sternly tells them. "I am marrying Kimberly and you two will support this marriage, do you understand me?" "You can marry her Dad," Robbie says back to him. "But Natasha and I, we will never support the marriage. You and Kim are toxic together, and that won't change, it will only get worse." The Sugarbowl "Okay, so you have to help me," Abby tells Cheresa as they sit across from one another in the back booth and Abby passes her sister some pictures of her headshots. "Mom and Dad didn't tell me which picture I should use when I submit my name for this campaign at Roboto. Which one do you think I should do?" "I have no idea, Cheresa chuckles back to her. "I'm not very good at this type of thing." "Come on," Abby encourages her. "Just tell me which one you like!" Cheresa looks up and happens to see Paige walk into the coffeehouse. "Wait, I see one of my friends. She is more into fashion than I am, I'll grab her." Cheresa quickly moves up to Paige. "Hey," Cheresa gets Paige's attention. "Are you okay?" Paige pulls her friend into a hug. "My parents wedding, it didn't happen." "I'm so sorry," Cheresa says as they exit the embrace. "Do you want to talk about it?" "Not really," Paige tells her, looking for an escape. She has no idea why her father never showed up to the church to marry Leah, but she hopes that he has a good excuse. She finally thought that her family would be back together, and now this happened. "I just want to forget about it, if I'm honest." "Good, you're in luck," Cheresa smiles to her. "My sister is here and she needs our help." Cheresa pulls Paige to the back booth. "Abby, this is my friend Paige. Paige, this is my sister Abby." "Nice to meet you," Abby tells her. "Likewise," Paige replies to her. "Cheresa was telling me that you need our help with something?" "Yesssss," Abby tells her. "I'm applying for this modelling gig, and I need to know which headshot to use. What do you think?" Paige looks the headshots and immediately looks at the one up close of Abby's face. "This one, your eyes sparkle in this picture, it's amazing," she tells her. "You really think so?" Abby asks her. "It is the same one my Mom liked." "If two people are saying it's the one, it should be the one," Cheresa tells her sister. "Okay," Abby takes a deep exhale. "You guys are the best. Thanks so much for your help!" *** Brad waits at the door for Robin to come in. He can see his sisters in the back booth, so he wants to catch Robin when she comes in so they can walk through the park because he doesn't want to be interrupted by his sisters during their discussion. Robin opens the door and he immediately intersects her. "Hey, I know people here, let's walk outside?" he asks as she turns around and immediately leaves. "It must mean you found out something if you don't want to be interrupted," she replies to him as they start walking down Main Street towards the park. She knows that he texted her to get information regarding the investigation into Max potentially being involved in Adam's accident last fall. "I think you're right," Brad tells her as they walk. "I think Max might have something to do with Adam's accident. I don't have any proof yet, but I'm getting closer." "Tell me everything," Robin replies to him. The Black House; Helen, Barbara & Dawn's Home "Is she finally sleeping?" Adam asks Helen, as she slowly walks down the stairs of her house having just checked on Barbara. Adam recalls how Cory paid them a visit earlier in the evening to tell them that Dawn met the parents that might adopt her baby and it was revealed to be Cory and Natasha; Dawn, remembering Adam's affair with Natasha, claimed she would never give her baby to Natasha and Barbara told Cory that Dawn was right to say such things. "Yea, it appears so," Helen reaches the living room again. "I can't believe she lashed out at Cory like that." "It's my fault," Adam whispers back to her. "All of this chaos started when I slept with Natasha. It started Dawn's acting out; it ended our marriage; it was the beginning of the end." "You can't blame yourself," Helen comes up to him. "So much has happened since then. We have all made mistakes and done our parts to hurt this family. What we need to do is stay united." Adam nods back to her. "I wish it was that simple," he looks into her eyes. "I fear that Natasha coming back into this family will send Dawn back down a bad path. And Barbara, she's still reeling from killing Jonah. This news might just set her off again too." "I have faith that we can get through it together," Helen licks her lips. "I think that's what this family needs, togetherness." "What are you saying?" Adam asks her. Helen looks back at him and recalls how Barbara was telling her that she wished Helen and Adam would reunite to keep the family together. "I'm saying this," she says before she leans in and softly kisses Adam on the lips. It lasts a moment before their lips part and they look into one another's eyes. "Sorry," she tells him. "It's fine," he replies to her. "I wasn't complaining." *** Upstairs, Barbara lays in her bed sleeping, but she tosses and turns in her bed. Images of her point a gun a Jonah haunt her. Suddenly, she sees bullets escape a gun and slowly move through the air until they hit Jonah's body; body is seemingly everywhere. Dawn is screaming; Barbara's hands are shaking. And Jonah; he's dead and laying in front of Barbara. She jolts up from her bed, her forehead covered in a light sweat. "It was just a dream," she tells herself as she tries to calm down. "It was just a dream." The Richardson Estate; Meggan & Lukas' Home "I got here as soon as I got your text," Lukas announces to his sister as he walks into the living room and sees Meggan pacing back and forth. "Are you okay? What's happened?" Meggan turns to her brother and he can tell that she has been crying. She immediately pulls him into a hug. "I need you right now," she cries into his ear, thinking about her encounter with Jeff earlier. She hated that she had to lie to him that Brad was the father of her baby; she knows that Jeff is the father, but she has to gone on with this charade. He can never know the truth. But the truth is slowly eating away at her. "Please, don't leave me tonight. Just stay with me." "Of course," he replies to her. "But Meg, you have to tell me what's wrong." She shakes her head as they exit their embrace. "Everything is wrong," she bites her lower lip. "And, I don't know how I will ever fix it Lukas. I don't think I can." St. Joseph's Church "Here we are at last," Father Murphy smiles as he looks at Leah and Jeff as they stand at the altar, in the now empty church. "I didn't think we'd get to this point today, but I'm glad we are." "So are we," Jeff smiles back to the father. "Jeff, why don't you go first with your vows?" Jeff looks at Leah and grabs her hands. "Leah, where do I begin? The days following our last wedding were some of the darkest of my entire life. I thought I had lost you, I thought you were gone forever. But then, the most amazing thing happened: you came back to me, you came back to everyone. The moment I saw you in that rain storm in Santa Barbara was the moment I knew that I wanted to still spend the rest of my life with you. You are the most amazing woman I have ever met in my entire life, and I feel so lucky to be standing here with you today. I hope you know how much you mean to me, and I will spend the rest of my life trying to show you how much I do love you." "That was beautiful," Father Murphy tells him. "Leah, it's your turn." "Jeff," she begins to say as a couple of tears stroll down her cheeks. "Like every couple, we have had our ups and downs, but together we always seem to find our way back to one another. We have overcome every obstacle that has ever been thrown at us. In my mind, that means we are meant to be together. I'm so lucky to have you as my partner in crime on this crazy ride we call life. I want you to know that I never stopped loving you and I will love you until the day I die." "Jeff, please repeat after me," Father Murphy says. "I, Jeff, take thee Leah, to be my wedded wife. To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for as long as I live." ""I, Jeff, take thee Leah, to be my wedded wife. To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for as long as I live," Jeff repeats his vows. "And Leah, please repeat after me," Father Murphy instructs her. "I, Leah, take thee Jeff, to be my wedded husband. To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for as long as I live." "I, Leah, take thee Jeff, to be my wedded husband. To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for as long as I live," Leah states looking into Jeff's eyes. "By the power invested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife again!" Father Murphy proclaims. "You may kiss your bride." "I've been waiting for this," Jeff chuckles as he leans in and kisses Leah passionately. Next
