on One Day at a Time Twin Peaks General Hospital "Darling, can I bring you anything at all, coffee or water?" Kim asks her husband, who is sitting in a chair in the waiting room of the hospital. Kim, Bob, Robbie and Cory are all waiting to hear about Natasha's surgery as she was sent to the OR after she was shot by Barbara. Kim looks at her husband and can see worry all over his face; she hopes that Natasha pulls through because she doesn't know how Bob will handle losing his daughter. Kim will do anything to make the wait easier, because she knows all too well about what it is like to be in this hospital losing a child. The memories of Blake's death this time last year are slowly coming back to haunt her; she has to do anything to ensure her husband doesn't go through the same thing as she did. "No, I'm fine," Bob looks up at Kim, grateful that she is with him. "Cory, Robbie, do you guys want anything?" "I just need to hear about my wife," Cory runs his hands over his face. "The waiting is killing me." "We should hear something anytime," Robbie tells them. "Victoria was here a couple hours ago." "I hope so," Cory replies to them. "I just have this feeling in the pit of my stomach that something is going on. The surgery seems to be taking so long." Before anyone can say anything else, Victoria slowly walks into the waiting room and removes her facial mask before looking at the Calimo family. "Victoria, how is Natasha? How is my wife?" Cory stands up as Bob and Robbie come up behind him, desperate to hear if Natasha is okay. "She survived surgery," Victoria replies to her. "The bullet hit her right shoulder, which is why the operation took so long. We managed to remove the bullet and stopped any internal bleeding. She will have some rehab, but she should make a full recovery." "Thank God," Cory turns and hugs Bob relieved that Natasha will make a full recovery. "The nightmare is over," Bob tells him into his ear, before they exit their embrace. "Can I see her?" Cory turns back to Victoria. "I want to see my wife." "You can," Victoria begins as Cory takes off from the waiting room, eager to see Natasha for himself. "I wasn't done telling you everything " "What else is there?" Robbie asks Victoria, curious about Natasha's condition. "Is everything okay with my sister?" *** In another waiting room, Adam and Helen wait to hear about Dawn as Robin and Max sit across the room from them. They are worried sick that Dawn won't survive the surgery from the shooting. "I heard from Simona Lopez," Helen finally says something, breaking the silence in the waiting room. "She arrested my mother." Adam uneasily looks back at her. He knows that Barbara has completely lost her mind because she shot Dawn and Natasha; in his mind right now, Barbara should be behind bars. He doesn't know how Barbara could possibly walk away from this the way she did when she killed Jonah. He doesn't care what happened exactly, the fact that Barbara would hurt Dawn, her unborn child and Natasha, shows that Barbara is unstable and should be in jail. "I know you don't want to hear this," Adam replies to her with ease. "But that's exactly where your mother should be - in jail." Robin stands up and moves over to sit next to Adam, placing her hand on his. "Dawn will be fine," she tells him, as Max and Helen watch them closely. "We have to believe that the doctors are doing everything they can." "Thanks for being here," Adam uneasily smiles back to her, grateful that she is there with him. Shane, then, walks into the waiting room. "I just got out of the OR," he announces, as Adam and Helen stand up and move closer to the doctor. "Dawn is out of surgery." "Please tell me that she will be okay," Helen replies to him quickly. "She will make a full recovery?" Shane uneasily nods back to her. "Dawn lost a lot of blood," he begins to tell them. "The bullet, it hit her stomach, we were able to remove the bullet, but it did a lot of damage." Adam shakes head back to Shane. "But she will be okay?" "I do think she will make a full recovery," Shane nods back to him. "She's sleeping now and I suspect she will be unconscious for a while, but I think she'll be fine. Physically, that is." "What about the baby?" Max asks, standing up and moving next to his father. Helen covers her mouth. "I had forgotten about the baby," she admits to everyone, almost ashamed that she forget her daughter was pregnant. "Shane, how is the baby?" Shane looks back at them with despair on his face. "I'm afraid it didn't make it," he reveals to them as Helen gasps out. "The bullet killed the fetus on impact." "Oh God," Helen cries as Adam puts his arm around her. "Our grandchild, it's dead?" "I'm so sorry," Shane replies to them. "Thanks doctor," Max replies to him, as he then turns and sees his father hugging Helen, who is weeping in his arms. City Hall Lukas stands in Daisy's< office drinking a cup of coffee while he looks at some files that pertain to the upcoming election. While he reads the documents in front of him, however, his mind is really on the previous night at Bob & Kim's wedding reception; Vinny had asked him if he had seen where Daisy ran off too, and Lukas claimed he hadn't, but he had seen her chase after Tyler when he left the ballroom at the Calimo Mansion. Lukas, by accident, happened to head to Bob's personal study and inside, where he saw Tyler and Daisy making love on the sofa. He knew that there was something going on between Daisy and Tyler, but he didn't believe that she would actually cheat on her husband. He knows that Daisy and Vinny have been having issues since Jemma's death, but he never believed that Daisy would betray him in this way. And now, he almost doesn't know what to do with the information now; should be tell Vinny? Should he confront Daisy? "You look a million miles away," a voice calls out at the doorway of the office, causing Lukas to look up and see Vinny standing there as he snaps out of his train of thoughts. "Vinny, hi," Lukas manages to say back to him. "Sorry about that, I guess I was daydreaming instead of reading these files." Vinny chuckles back to him. "It's fine, it happens to everyone," he says moving up to the bar in Daisy's office and pouring himself a cup of coffee. "Do you see anything of interest in those files?" "I'll finish reading them and let you know," Lukas takes a sip of his drink. "Did you end up finding Daisy last night at the wedding?" Vinny takes a sip of his hot beverage and thinks back to how he couldn't find his wife and he was ready to leave; in his mind, it's just the latest stunt of Daisy's that has left him wondering what is going on with her. He thought that they were finally getting their marriage back on track, but she continues to be hot and cold with him. He thinks that, now, there must be something more than just her struggling to get over Jemma's death that is bothering her. "Eventually," he replies to him. "She said she went to get some air, but she was pretty quiet the rest of the night." "Maybe she was tired?" Lukas offers to him, realizing that Daisy lied to her husband. "It was a long evening." "Maybe," Vinny uneasily nods back to him. "Whatever it is, I have to figure out what is going on with my wife because I know that she is keeping something from me. The question is, what is it?" Lukas uneasily shrugs his shoulders back to him. "I wish I knew," he slowly says. "But you know, Daisy and I, we aren't close." "I know," Vinny waves his hand. "But, if I want to save my marriage, I have to figure out what is going on with her. Otherwise, I can kiss my marriage goodbye." Roboto; Tyler's Office "We have to talk," Daisy announces to Tyler as she walks into his office and slams the door closed behind her. Tyler looks up from his laptop, which contains details of the Gen Next House that will be debuting this summer at Roboto. He looks at his lover and can tell that she has something on her mind; he knows that it probably has to do with the fact that they made love, again, last night at Bob and Kim's wedding reception. Despite her saying that their affair is wrong, Daisy can't seem to resist him, which is perfectly fine with him because he is falling for Daisy hard. He wishes that she would accept that they have a connection and start acting on it. "It sounds serious," he stands up from his chair and moves around to greet her. "I am surprised to see you so quickly after last night," he winks at her. "Not that I'm complaining." "That's exactly why I had to see you," she purses her lips together. She has been rehearsing her speech all morning; this is something she has to do, she realizes. "This, whatever it is, it has to stop. It ends now." Tyler chuckles back to her. "I've heard this from you before," he grins back to her. "And, yet whenever we are alone, you can't resist me." "I've been weak," Daisy replies to him. "I know that. But, damnit, we can't keep doing this, Tyler." "We have a connection Daisy," he looks deep into her eyes, causing her to feel her knees get weak. "You can't deny that." "I can't deny that I'm wearing this large diamond on my finger either," she looks down and sees her wedding ring. "And, this has to stop before someone gets hurts Tyler." Daisy turns to leave but Tyler grabs her arm. "Let me go," she tells him. "This is good bye Tyler, we don't have any other choice." "I love you," he tells her, causing her to look back into his eyes. "I'm not going to let this go without a fight." "You don't have a choice," she sternly tells him. "I can't hurt my husband; I won't." Daisy pulls herself free and quickly rushes out of the office, leaving Tyler to sigh heavily. Outside the office, Daisy leans up against the door and gasps for air. Once she has calmed herself down, she quickly walks towards the elevator, needing to leave as quickly as possible. St. Joseph's Church "Thank you so much for the tour, Father Murphy," Nicholas says as they walk through the hallway of the church together. The elder priest has just finished showing Nicholas the ins and outs of the church, since he will be taking over for Father Murphy very soon. "I have no idea how I will remember all of these details about the church the way you have." Father Murphy chuckles back to him. "You will eventually know the building and the property as well as I do," he tells him. "You spend so much time here, it will become like your left hand." "I suppose that is very true," Nicholas replies to him. "I also have made notes about the various renovation projects you mentioned that the church requires. You said that you were hoping that some articles featured in the local paper will help with increased donations?" "That's correct," Father Murphy nods back to him. "And, actually the writer of the articles is donating a large portion of money himself." "That's wonderful," Nicholas smiles. "I hope I get to meet this fellow one day?" "As a matter of fact, I believe he will be arriving at the church any time now. He wanted to show me the first draft of his first article." Before Nicholas could say anything back to him, the front door of the church opens and Andy emerges. Nicholas sees Andy walk in, with the bright sunlight behind him and immediately feels an attraction to him. The dark hair on Andy's head is styled perfectly; his eyebrows are the perfect shape; his lips are slightly moist, and based on the shirt that Andy is wearing, he is very fit. "Oh Andy," Father Murphy smiles to him as he walks up to him. "This is perfect timing. I'd like you to meet Father Nicholas Young; he will be taking over for me when I retire." Andy looks at Nicholas and can't help but think that the young priest is very handsome. Andy, also, feels his gaydar go off as he moves up to shake Nicholas' hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you," Andy says as their hands meet. "Likewise," Nicholas looks into his eyes. "By the sound of it, we will be working closely together for time at the church." Andy nods back to him as he clears his throat. "I look forward to that." "Me too," Nicholas replies to him. "I'm so glad that you two are hitting it off," Father Murphy breaks up the intense eye contact between the two younger men. "Because, yes, you will be working together on a few projects. So, getting along is a good thing." "A very good thing," Andy replies before looking back at Nicholas, as their eyes lock again. Twin Peaks General Hospital "How can this be happening?" Helen asks Adam as the stand together in the waiting room, having just found out that Dawn lost her child in surgery. "After everything that our daughter has been through the last couple of years, when will she catch a break?" "I wish I knew," he whispers back to her as they look into one another's eyes. "But you're right, she will be devastated when she wakes up. She will need us, all of us, to support her." Before anyone can say anything else, Cheresa arrives at the waiting room door. Max looks over and quickly walks out of the room. "My parents told me that Dawn was brought to the hospital," Cheresa tells Max as he pulls her aside. "What happened?" "Barbara shot Dawn and Natasha Calimo," Max reveals to her, as Cheresa covers her mouth in shock. "Dawn survived surgery, but the baby didn't." "My God," Cheresa whispers back to him as they lock eyes. "This is awful. Just awful." Max pulls her into a hug. "I don't know how Dawn is going to take this," he tells her. "She's been through so much and now this." Cheresa lets a tear fall down her cheek. "We have to be there for her, she can't go through this alone." Back in the waiting room, Robin looks at Adam and Helen, who end up hugging again as Helen is unable to stop weeping, and wonders how close they have become. She turns around and knows that she can't tell Adam the truth about Max's accident right now because it's not the right time, but she has to let him know that they can be together again. After everything that has happened, maybe that is the silver lining in all of this. Robin turns back around to see the parents exit their embrace. "No matter what happens Helen," Adam looks at his ex-wife. "We will get through this together. I won't leave your side or Dawn's. We are a family and family's pull together in crisis." "Oh Adam," Helen pulls him closer again, as Robin watches in awkward silence. "I need you now more than ever." *** Back in the other waiting room, Bob, Kim and Robbie are left reeling from the news that Victoria gave them about Natasha's condition. "I can't believe this is happening," Robbie says to his father as he runs his hands through his hair. "After everything Natasha has been through, now this?" "Don't worry son," Bob replies to him. "This could be a blessing." "Bob is right," Kim chimes in. "Natasha should be thrilled by this." "Natasha should be thrilled?" Eva asks as she walks into the waiting room. "Can someone please explain to me what the hell is going on with my daughter?" "I'm sorry I didn't call you sooner," Bob tells her as he moves up to her and hugs her. "All you have to know is that Natasha, she will be fine. Victoria said she will make a full recovery from the shooting." "Thank God," Eva says as they exit the embrace. "I was so worried when I got the call that she was shot. What happened?" "We don't know all the details yet," Kim replies to her. "But Barbara Mills has been arrested." "Didn't she kill a young man last fall? That woman should be locked up!" Eva shrieks back. "I'm just glad that Natasha will be okay. Now, why did you say Natasha will be thrilled? What could have possibly happened that she would be happy by any of this?" "Brace yourself," Bob tells her. "Because, it's a nothing short of a miracle." *** Cory slowly opens the door to Natasha's hospital room and moves inside. He walks up to his wife's bedside and sits next to her, grabbing and kissing her hand in the process. "Nat," he whispers to her, as Natasha lays there asleep. "You have no idea how worried I was about you. Thank God you're going to be okay. I was so scared I was going to lose you." Cory feels a tear fall down his cheek so he wipes it with his free hand. "I will do everything in my power to make sure you stay safe going forward. I won't let anything bad happen to you again." Before he can say anything else, he hears the door open so he turns around and sees Victoria standing there. "I am allowed to be here, aren't I?" he asks her. "Of course," Victoria nods back to him. "I just didn't get to finish telling you about Natasha's condition." Cory stands up and looks at the doctor. "I thought you said she will make a full recovery?" "I did, and she should," Victoria replies to him. "But we discovered something while we were saving her life." "What is it? What did you find?" "Natasha's pregnant," Victoria shocks Cory. "She's about 8 weeks along." Cory shakes his head disbelief. "That doesn't make any sense; she fell on the ice last year, she was told she couldn't have any more children." "I know," Victoria nods back to him. "That's why this child is a miracle. You and Natasha, you will be parents." Cory looks back at his sleeping wife and feels his eyes swell with water again. "Did you hear that Nat? We are going to have a baby after all. We are going to be parents!" Next
