on One Day at a Time The Claus House; Jeff, Leah & Paige's Home Paige paces back and forth in the living room of the house she shares with her parents, her mind racing on the previous evenings events where she and Andrew had sex for the first time; it was Paige's first time with a man, which she now regrets doing. She feels completely stupid because as soon as they were finished making love, she went to take a shower and she found some pills in Andrew's washroom. She quickly realized that the pills were ones that could make people forget events if they were mixed with alcohol, which made her think of Chris and Helen's night last fall that neither can remember. Paige confronted Andrew and he finally admitted that he drugged them to make they think they had sex, when in fact they did not. Andrew claims he did all of this to get back at Chris for how he treated Savannah before she died. Of course, had Paige known any of this, she wouldn't have slept with Andrew. "How could I have been so stupid?" she asks herself as she continues pace back and forth. "He drugged Chris and Helen; he's caused so much pain! The truth, it has to come out." She moves over to her purse and realizes that she doesn't have any messages from Andrew. When she left him the night before, she told him that if he didn't tell Chris, Trenyce and Helen the truth, she would. The fact that he hasn't said anything to her, tells her everything that she needs to know. "It's time," she tells herself. "They have to know the truth." She types a text message into her phone and presses send. She then reads it back to herself. "I'm telling Chris, Trenyce and Helen today. I told you last night if you didn't, I would." She waits for a response from Andrew but she doesn't get one, so she starts looking through her contacts to send Chris, Trenyce and Helen a message. "This ends today," she tells herself as she starts another message. The Pampa Grill "Running into you sure beats having breakfast alone," Tyler smiles over to Trenyce, as she takes a bite of her eggs benedict. He was going to dine alone but he saw his former lover walk into the restaurant and invited her to join him. He is enjoying catching up with her, although, he has to be careful that doesn't mention anything about his affair with Daisy because then all hell would break loose. "I know," Trenyce nods back to him. "I was actually going to get something to go because I have a million things to do at Robertson today." Tyler uneasily smiles back to her. "I'm sure you do," he winks back to her. "I'm sure my Dad is trying to think of a counter to Roboto's Gen Next House." Trenyce chuckles back to him. "He is," she reveals to him. "The office really isn't the same without you there." Tyler shrugs. "After everything that happened last year, I just can't work for my Dad. You have to understand that." "I get it," Trenyce tells her friend. "You and Kim went through something that no one should ever have to go through." "And, part of that is my Dad's fault," Tyler reminds her. "Look, I don't want to bring this up again. What's new with you?" Before Trenyce can reply, she feels her phone buzz in her purse. She quickly grabs it out and reads the text message from Paige. "That's weird," she says to herself. "What is it?" "Paige wants to see me; she says it's urgent." Tyler arches his eyebrow wondering what his niece would want with Trenyce. "Interesting indeed," Tyler replies to her. "Keep me posted?" Trenyce smiles back to her friend. "You know I will, thanks again for breakfast." "We have to do it more often," he winks back to his friend, as she collects her things, still wondering what Paige wants. St. Joseph's Church Andy opens the front door of the church and moves inside. He is holding two coffees and some pastries from the Sugarbowl for himself and Nicholas, as the priest asked him to join him at the church so they could get to know one another since they will be working together closely once Father Murphy retires for good. "Good morning," Andy calls out into the empty foyer. "Father Young?" Nicholas appears on the side of the foyer with a smile on his face. "Good morning Mr. Spinnes," he says coming up to Andy, trying to hide the electricity between them. "Thank you for coming today." "Of course," Andy nods back to him, still unable to think that Nicholas is very attractive. "Here's a coffee for you. I brought muffins and cookies." "That's very generous of you," Nicholas tells him as they move into the church. Nicholas offers Andy a seat in the back pew. "I was hoping we could talk a little since we will be working so closely together." "I think it's a good idea," Andy replies to him before taking a sip of his coffee. "So, tell me about yourself?" Andy chuckles a little. "I'm not sure where to begin actually," Andy admits to him. "I guess my family? I have a sister; she took me in a long time ago when I lived on the streets. She's my best friend in every way." "That was very generous of her," Nicholas replies to him. "We all need to have family like that. What about a partner of some kind?" Andy puts his head down a little. "I was married," Andy reveals as he thinks about Reese. "But, he died. I actually married him on his death bed." Nicholas puts his hand on Andy's leg and squeezes it. "I'm so sorry," he says back to him. "May I ask ?" "Cancer," Andy looks up at him, knowing what Nicholas was going to ask. "I miss him every day, but I'm just now getting used to the idea of maybe moving on." "These things can take time," Nicholas tells him. "I can relate." "You can?" Nicholas nods back to him. "I was living with my partner too," he reveals to Andy. "And he got sick; before either one of us knew it, he was gone." "What was he sick with?" "HIV," Nicholas slowly tells him. "It's been the most difficult time of my life. That's why I turned to God and the church. I felt like I needed something bigger in my life as I was trying to make sense of what happened. His death is why I became a priest." It's Andy's turn to put his hand on Nicholas' leg. "That's a touching story," Andy tells him. "It seems, Father Young, that you and I, we have a lot in common." Nicholas looks back at Andy and smiles. "It certainly does, Andy. It certainly does." Wild Night; The Offices On the second level of Cory's night club, there are some offices, including Cory's. Robbie and Brooke stand in the office next to Cory's, and look at some documents that are resting on the desk that is in the office. "This is a great office for our campaign headquarters," Brooke tells Robbie as she looks around the mostly undecorated space. "It was great that your brother in law allowed us to rent it." "That's what I thought," Robbie replies to her, looking up from the documents. "I mean, we can still customize it a little bit to our liking, but the rent is affordable and we are right on Main street, which is where I wanted to be." "Agreed," Brooke purses her lips together. "How are you doing with those sample questions? Are you getting an idea of what to expect at the upcoming debate?" Robbie sighs a little. "I think they are going okay, yea," Robbie admits to her. "I guess I'm just nervous. It will be my first time debating as a public figure." "The key is to stay calm," Brooke advises him. "Just remember, that even though Daisy has been mayor for a while now, she too, will be nervous. You just have to make sure your answers are spot on." "Do you want to come sit with me and review some of my answers so you can tell me where I should improve and shouldn't?" "Of course," Brooke says as she walks over to him and sits next to him. As she moves to look at the set of questions, her hand graces Robbie's. They lock eyes for a moment before she looks back at the questions. "Okay, question one " City Hall "Last year's bridge expansion was over budget by $500,000," Lukas reads from a queue card while he looks at Daisy, who is in her office also preparing for the upcoming debate. "What methods will you take to ensure future projects are not over budget?" Daisy looks at Vinny, who is standing next to her with an uneasy smile on her face. "You really hammered out some tough questions." Vinny chuckles back to her. "I'm trying to make it as real as possible," he tells his wife. "You know that they will come for you for everything that they believe you failed at in this last term." "Focus!" Lukas tells them. "We have a bunch of these questions to get through," he says, as he looks at them for a moment. If he hadn't witnessed with his own eyes that Daisy slept with another man, he never would have guessed that because she and Vinny are seeming closer than ever right now. Every time he shuts his eyes, however, Lukas is taken back to the night at the Calimo mansion when he saw her in bed with Tyler. "Was that a good enough answer Mr. Campaign manager?" Daisy asks him, causing Lukas to snap out of his train of thought, even though he clearly missed everything that she just said. "Uh, yea, it was great," Lukas lies to them. "Ready for your next question?" Twin Peaks General Hospital "Damn it Adam, pick up your phone," Helen says into her phone as she paces back and forth in the waiting room of the hospital. She knows that Dawn should be getting released from the hospital today and she was hoping that Adam would be there with her to take their daughter home. Of course, that is, if Dawn even wants to go home. She may very well want to stay on at Shelley's, but Helen hopes not. She slams her phone down on to the chair when it goes back to Adam's voicemail. "I need you right now," she whispers to herself, thinking about how she and Adam made love recently meaning he is no longer impotent. "I know you told me that you are still in love with Robin, but after seeing my mother, I can't deny that I need you." Helen can't help but recall going to the police station to see Barbara; only, her mother didn't say anything back to her. It's like she was in a state of shock of shooting Natasha and Dawn; she just sat on the cot in the cell and starred forward. "I'm sorry to interrupt," a voice says in the doorway of the waiting room. "But I'm glad that I found you." Helen turns around and sees Simona Lopez standing there. Helen arches her eyebrow, wondering if the detective has more information about the shooting. "Detective, what brings you here?" "I heard that your daughter was going to get released today so I came to you," Simona replies to her. "It's about your mother." "What about her? She's okay, isn't she?" "Depends what you define as okay," Simona tells her. "The doctor that works at the station did an initial review of Barbara and he believes that she should be transported to Raven's Meadow. He thinks that would be the best place for her right now, given her mental health." "My God," Helen gasps back to her. "My mother? In a mental hospital?" "Just think about it, okay?" Simona encourages her. "This could be the best thing for your mother." Before Helen can reply, she hears her phone ping. She moves to the chair and picks it up, hoping that the message is from Adam, but she sees that it is from Paige. She arches her eyebrow, wondering what Paige could want with her. She looks at her watch and realizes that she probably still have enough time to go see Paige and then come back and collect Dawn. "I have to go," she tells Simona. "But, I will keep this in mind. Thank you for the update." *** "Sorry I haven't been by sooner," Shelley tells Dawn, who is still laying in her hospital bed. "I've had some shifts at the bar and I haven't been able to get out of them." "You don't have to apologize to me," Dawn replies to her friend, who is sitting next to her. "I know that you have still to earn a living." "How are you feeling, and don't tell me you're fine, because I can see it all over you face that you're not," Shelley says back to her, knowing that she must be going through hell because she lost her baby in the shooting. Dawn shrugs hers shoulders back to Shelley. "They told me that I am going to be released today," she slowly admits to her. "And, I guess that's a good thing. But, it's made me more confused than ever." "Confused? About what?" "I don't know where I am supposed to go," Dawn admits to her. "Should I go back to your place? Or should I go be with my parents? And, if I go back to my parents, how can I possibly stay in the same house as my grandmother?" "I think you're putting way too much pressure on yourself," Shelley says back to Dawn. "You just went through the most horrific event in your life. You should be with your parents right now. You need their love, Dawn." "But " "No buts," Shelley tells her as she grabs her hand. "You and I, we'll always be friends. What we have shared, no one can ever take that away from us. But right now, you need your family. I'll still be there whenever you need me to be." Dawn lets a tear fall down her cheek. "You're the best, thanks Shelley." "No," Shelley shakes her head. "That's impossible, because you're the best Dawn. Don't you ever forget that." *** "I'm glad you could squeeze in a visit with me this morning," Donovan tells Craig as they sit across from one another in the cafeteria with two coffees. Donovan knows that Craig wasn't exactly thrilled when he and Lukas reunited, but he is hoping now that some time has passed, Craig will be in a better headspace about it. Donovan knows that good friends are hard to come by, so he's hoping that Craig can still be in their lives. "Yea," Craig replies to him. "I hadn't seen many people since I went to Vegas." "I saw some of your pictures on Instagram," Donovan admits to him. "It looked like you had a great time." "It was needed." "I hope that you were able to get rid of any lingering frustration about Lukas and I," Donovan says back to him. "We never meant to hurt you." "I know," Craig sighs back to him. "I really should have known that eventually you two would end up back together. I mean, the reason he was upset with you was silly. I'm glad that you two are in a better place now." "We are," Donovan smiles, thinking about how good things are between him and Lukas. "But, that doesn't mean we don't care about you. We still want you in our lives." Before Craig can reply, he hears his phone indicate he has a new text message. He pulls his phone out from his scrubs and reads the alert. "Hey - in Twin Peaks, need to see you ASAP" from Chip. He looks at the name is immediately taken back to his night in Vegas where he hooked up with Chip they had sex. He arches his eyebrow, wondering why Chip would be in Twin Peaks, and why he needs to see him. "Is everything okay?" Donovan asks him. "Yea, fine," Craig replies to him. "Just an old friend wanting to get together. It's nothing." *** Brandy scurries around Victoria's office with some files in her hand. Brandy, Victoria's alter ego, re-emerged the other day while Victoria was rehashing in her mind how Robbie continued to ping pong back and forth between her and Leah and then how she was almost raped on the pier after Shane's birthday party. The stress caused Victoria's multiple personality reappear, and she hasn't left yet. And if Brandy has anything to say about it, she won't leave ever again. She knows that she is strong enough to manage anything that life has to offer, and Victoria clearly isn't. "Now that I am back," She whispers to herself. "I'm going to make a lot of changes. Starting with this new job." "New job? Did I hear you correctly?" Shane asks as he stands in the doorway of Victoria's office. "Sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop, I was just passing by." Brandy puts a smile on her face knowing that this will be her test in fooling everyone; no one can know that she is back in charge of Victoria's mind and body because they will try to stop her. And, that is the last thing that Brandy wants to have happen. "It's fine," she replies to him. "But yes, you did hear correctly. I will still be working here, but I wanted to explore mental health, so I am going to be working part time at Raven's Meadow as well." "Wow, I didn't see this coming," Shane admits to her. "Are you sure you're not spreading yourself too thin?" "Absolutely not," Brandy replies to him. "It will be good for me. It is exactly what I need." "Okay, only if you're sure." "I am," Brandy tells him. "It will be good for me to put this last year behind me and focus on me for a change. And, that's a good thing, right?" "Of course," Shane uneasily says back to her, wondering why Victoria is having this suddenly change of heart without any sort of discussion before. It's not like her to make such rash decisions. "As long as you know what you're doing, I'll support you." "You're a doll," she winks at him, proud that she has seemingly fooled Shane. Roboto; Bob's Office Kim sits at Bob's desk and she is typing furiously into the laptop in front of her. She is finishing some of the final components for the Gen Next House, which is set to start in July, so time is of the essence right now. As she types, she wonders if she will hear back from Max, whom she ran into at the Pampa Grill recently and she offered him a job to be the official Gen Next photographer. With time getting closer to the official launch, she may have to just forget everything that went down with the job offer to Max. As she's typing, she hears a knock on the office door. "Come in," she says, not looking over to see who is coming into the office. "Make it fast, I'm on a deadline here." "Sorry, I could come back," Max says with his hands in his pockets as he moves into the office. Kim looks up and stops typing. "Mr. Black," she stands up quickly. "Sorry, I wasn't expecting to see you," she admits to him. "I hope this means that you're coming with good news for me? Is it about the job offer?" "What job offer?" Tyler asks as he moves into the office, having overheard the tail end of their conversation. "What am I missing?" "I ran into Mr. Black the other day," Kim reveals to him. "And, I asked him to join the Gen Next House as a photographer, and if he was interested, a participant, since we are one male short." "That's a great idea," Tyler smiles back to Max. "I've seen your work at Robertson and you'd be great on this project." "I'm glad you think so," Max replies to them. "Because, it just happens that I recently left Robertson and I'd like to take you up on this offer. It's not something that I come across every day." "Perfect!" Kim claps her hand together before she turns to Tyler. "You know what this means, don't you? It means that we are officially done with this campaign! We just have to launch!" "We did it," Tyler smiles back to her. "We really did it!" The Claus House; Jeff, Leah & Paige's Home Paige continues to pace back and forth in the living room as she waits for her guests to arrive. She feels like her heart is beating a million miles per second with what is about to happen but she knows that she has to do this; she can't let Andrew get away with drugging Chris and Helen. Suddenly, the doorbell rings and Paige quickly moves towards the front door. She takes a deep breath before opening the door. "I'm glad you could all make it on such short notice," she says as Helen, Trenyce and Chris come into the house. "What is this about?" Chris asks her, before he looks over at Trenyce and Helen. "What is going on that you needed to see all three of us?" "I'd like to know the same thing," Helen replies. "This seems like a weird setup or something." "It's not a set up, I promise you," Paige tries to calm them down. "But, I know something and you guys have to know the truth too." "What truth?" Trenyce asks her. Before Paige can say anything the doorbell rings again. "Are you expecting someone else?" Trenyce asks her as Paige shakes her head no. "No, I'm not, I'll just be a minute," she says before she turns and heads back to the front door. She opens the door and her mouth falls open. "Andrew," she says to her boyfriend. "What are you doing here?" "What do you think I'm doing here?" he asks he steps into the foyer of the house. "I got your messages. You can't do this. You just can't." "Andrew?" Chris asks coming into the foyer as Helen and Trenyce follow him. "What are you doing here? And what can't Paige do?" "Someone please start telling us what the hell we are doing here!" Trenyce asks putting her hand on her hip as Andrew looks back at Paige with desperation in his face. Next
