Episode Theme song: "Thinkin'
Bout You" Dua Lipa Previously
on One Day at a Time City Hall Robbie lays naked on the sofa in his office with Brooke in his arms. He almost can't believe what just happened: he was at the hospital when he saw Brooke crying in her vehicle. He wanted to make sure that she was okay and they ended up back at his office making passionate love again. This is now the second time that they've had sex, and after the first time she told him that it was a mistake. Clearly, she enjoyed the first time because she wanted him desperately and he was more than happy to be there for her. He can feel her heart beating as he holds her and he wonders how she is doing. He hopes that she doesn't' think that this was a mistake again. "How are you doing?" he asks her, causing her to sit up and look at him. Robbie uneasily smiles back to his lover, trying to reassure her that things are still okay with them. "I'm okay," Brooke replies to him. "I should probably get going." She stands up and starts to collect her clothing, as Robbie leans up on the sofa. "You don't have to run away just because the sex is over," he tells her. "We could talk? Something was obviously troubling you. Why don't you tell me about it? This could be more than just sex, you know?" "How can it be more?" she asks him, not looking back at him. "I'm married, Robbie. We can't be anything more than co-workers. I don't know why this happened again." "Because you are attracted to me," he replies to her quickly. "Normally when you're married, you look but you don't touch. Clearly something is missing in your marriage that you keep turning to other guys. It happened with your first affair and it's happening with me." Brooke shuts her eyes for a moment as she feels her eyes swell with water. "I don't know what's wrong with me," she admits to him. "Why do I keep doing this?" Robbie comes up behind her and grabs her shoulders. She turns to face him as a tear falls down her cheek. "There's nothing wrong with you," Robbie says looking into her watery eyes. "We just have to figure out what we are doing." She uneasily nods back to him. "I guess that is easier said than done," she admits to him. "Because I have no idea what I'm doing, and I guess that is the scary part." The Sugarbowl "Here is a decaf for you," Shane tells Natasha as he passes her the iced coffee without caffeine, since she is about to have a baby any day now. He still can't believe that his ex-wife is about to have another child because there was a time when everyone believed that Natasha wouldn't be able to carry another child to term. "Thank you," Natasha purses her lips back to him. "It's nice to see you, how have you been?" Shane shrugs his shoulders back to her. "I'm alright, I guess. I was hoping you'd tell me that you've heard from Jacob; he has still been ignoring me for the most part." Natasha arches her eyebrow as she thinks about how Jacob, her son with Shane, has seemingly stopped communicating with them. She knows that it's odd but she has been trying to believe that he will contact them when he is ready too. He is, after all, a moody teenager. "Actually," she begins to tell him. "I did get an email from him. But it was a little cryptic." "Why am I just hearing about this now?" Shane asks her, surprised that she didn't tell him the moment she got the email since they've been both been worried about Jacob. "I knew I was seeing you today," Natasha replies to him. "And, I only got the email last night, so it's all new. Here, let me show you." She digs into her purse and grabs her phone and opens the email from Jacob before passing the device to Shane. Shane accepts the phone and quickly scans the email before looking back at Natasha. "Well, that doesn't say much of anything," he tells her after reading the email. "Hi, sorry been out of touch, busy with school. Chat soon," Shane rereads the email. "That doesn't tell us why he's been avoiding us." "Avoiding us is a strong word," Natasha replies to him. "But, I agree, it is vague. I'd love to know what, exactly, is going on with him. But, at least we have heard from him?" Shane sighs back to her. "I guess," he looks at his ex-wife. "I just can't shake this feeling that something else is going on with him." "Like what?" "I don't know," he admits to her. "But I have a bad feeling in my stomach." Roboto; Bob's Office "Darling, you won't believe these figures," Kim announces as she walks into her husband's office at Roboto, holding her tablet. She can't believe how well the sales from the Gen Next campaign are still going, despite Andrew's near tragic ending in the pool. The sales are very strong, and according to the report from Tyler, the drama actually has helped the figures. "Sorry to disappoint you, but Bob isn't here," a voice calls out, startling Kim, who looks up and sees Greg standing by the large window in the office. "But, I'm glad you are the one who showed up and not him." Kim shuts the door to the office before she moves up to him, furious that he, once again, has shown up at Bob's office without warning. "What the hell are you doing here?" she asks him. "What would you have done if had Bob walked in instead of me?" "I would have told him that I wanted an update on my advertising deal that we struck," he smirks back to her. "But, I'm glad it's you, like I said." "I told you what happened before can't happen again," she reminds him, as she puts her hand on her hip. "You are adorable when you're mad," he winks back to her. "I wanted to tell you some news. My son, Brad, he had a baby boy." "Congratulations," Kim replies to him. "Why aren't you celebrating with Brooke?" Greg uneasily chuckles back to her. "Because, things aren't exactly good between us right now, and I wanted to celebrate with someone I know enjoys my company." "And, that person is me?" "Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!" "Oh Greg," Kim smiles back to him. "I am happy for you and your family. But like I said, this can't happen here. If Bob walks in " Before she continues, he leans in and kisses her on the lips. She responds to the kiss for a moment, just as Bob opens the door and, once again, sees his wife kissing Greg. The blood in his veins immediately starts to boil, wondering if everything Kim told him was a lie. He shuts the door again, just as Kim pushes Greg away. "We can't do this," she tells him, keeping him at bay. "I'm married, happily." "I can except that," Greg tells her. "But, I won't stop pursuing you because there is something between us, you can feel it, I know you can." St. Joseph's Church "This coat of paint is doing wonders for the foyer," Andy tells Nicholas, as he dips the roller into the paint tray and applies another coat of the 'roasted walnut' paint. "Who knew that the colour of roasted walnuts would be so appealing?" Nicholas chuckles back to him, as he looks over at Andy, who is only wearing a white tank top and sweat pants so he doesn't get any paint on nicer clothing. Nicholas is wearing almost the exact same outfit, except he has a black tank top on. He can't help but think Andy is looking extremely attractive, but he knows that he has to stop thinking this way about the young man because of his decision to become a priest. "Father Murphy chose the color before he left," Nicholas admits to him. "I can't take the credit, but you are right, it does look good." "Well, you know, Father Murphy isn't here anymore so you could take all the credit you wanted," Andy winks back at him with a chuckle. "You're right, I could take credit for anything I wanted," Nicholas proudly replies to him. "Maybe except for this," he says before he flicks some paint over in Andy's direction, which splats on his white shirt. "You did not just do that!" Andy replies in shock. "I did!" Andy chuckles back to him before he whips some paint in Nicholas' direction. Soon, a paint war is happening and they inch closer to one another as paint flies across the room. Nicholas finally grabs Andy as they both break out into laughter. They lock eyes as they start to calm down and Andy leans in and kisses Nicholas. The kiss lasts for a moment before Nicholas pushes him away, but Andy has lust in his eyes now. He looks back at Nicholas, wanting to kiss him again. "We can't do that again," he warns Andy, knowing that he was wrong even though he did enjoy the kiss himself. "I'm with the church, I can't be caught with a guy or anyone for that matter." Andy runs his hands through his hair with a deep sigh. He knows that he can't fall for a priest; it's forbidden. "You're right, I'm sorry. I I don't know what came over me." "It's fine," Nicholas sternly says. "Let's clean this mess up, shall we?" Twin Peaks General Hospital "Are you sure this is the best time to be doing this?" Trenyce asks Chris as they wait outside of a hospital room. Trenyce and Chris were at the hospital because Andrew got released and they wanted to see him off, which they did, but they also know that Meggan is at the hospital because she just gave birth and they thought they'd stop in to see her to see if she would be willing to reopen the case into finding their biological child. Chris grabs her hand and squeezes it a little. "I think so," he tells her. "If she didn't want to see us, she wouldn't have told us to come by today. And, I'm eager to begin this search again, aren't you?" "You know I am," Trenyce smiles back to him before she darts her eyes up to the opening door. A nurse appears and looks down at them. "Meggan will see you now," she tells them as Chris and Trenyce stand up and walk into the hospital room. "Congratulations on the new baby," Trenyce smiles to the P.I. "You must be over the moon." "I am," Meggan nods back to them. "Logan, he's just the best thing in the world that has ever happened to me." "We can only imagine," Chris replies to her. "That's actually why we are here. We want you to reopen the case into searching for our child." Meggan looks back at them in surprise. "I figured that's what this meeting was about," she stirs in her bed. "But, I can tell you now that it will be difficult, but I will reopen the case as soon as I'm released from the hospital." "Thank you so much," Trenyce replies to her quickly. "We know it's a long shot, but we " "We have to try something, anything," Chris finishes her sentence. "We want our child back in our lives." "And, I'll do my best to find her for you," Meggan uneasily smiles back to them, knowing that it is like finding a needle in a haystack. The Cascade Apartments; Apartment 507; Andrew's Apartment "Are you sure you're okay?" Paige asks Andrew, who is sitting on the sofa, and she is carrying two cups of tea towards him. "I don't want you to overdo it." Andrew uneasily chuckles back to her, knowing that she is being overprotective because he was just released from the hospital following his near drowning at the Gen Next House. He still can't believe that he almost died, but he is grateful for everything good that has come from the ordeal; like, him making amends with Chris, Trenyce and Paige. "I'm fine," he tells her as she sits next to him and gives him his tea. "But, it is very sweet that you're so worried about me." "You almost died, of course I am worried about you," she purses her lips back to him. "I was so scared." "Hey, no need to be scared anymore okay?" he grabs her hand and squeezes it. "I'm fine and I'm not going anywhere, not for a long, long time." Paige sets her tea down and looks into his eyes. "I know and I'm so glad that we are back together. I guess it is the silver lining of a very bad situation." "Absolutely," he licks his lips back to her. "The worst part about being in that house, Paige, was being so close to you but being away from you." "I agree Andrew," she admits to him. "Being close to you but not being with you was difficult." "At least we are together now," Andrew replies to her as he leans in and kisses her quickly. The kiss quickly turns more passionate. "I want you so badly. I want to make up for lost time." "Are you sure you're ready?" she asks him as he crawls on top of her. "Oh, I'm very sure," he smiles as he kisses her again and she wraps her legs around his waist. The Sugarbowl "Are you sure you heard everything correctly?" Max asks Abby as they sit at the window seat with lattes in front of them. Max just heard Abby's story of how she was at the hospital when she heard Andrew and Paige get back together. Max is bummed at the news because he thought he and Paige were growing closer; all summer long he really worked his magic on her in hopes of helping her forget that Andrew was in her life. Now, if what Abby is saying is true, all of that was for nothing. Abby sighs back to him wishing that she had heard incorrectly but she is certain that the young lovers are back together. "Ugh, I wish I was wrong," she replies to him before she takes a sip of her latte. "But, they were all mushy and shit. It was really gross." Max chuckles back to her. "You wouldn't be saying it was gross if you were in Paige's shoes." "Well, duh," Abby rolls her eyes back to him. "It just sucks because we worked so hard all summer in the Gen Next House to try to make them forget one another." "I know," Max admits back to her. "I thought Paige and I were growing closer. Little did I know that they still had feelings for one another." "What are we going to do Maxy? I don't want to lose Andrew to Paige!" "I don't know," Max shrugs his shoulders. "What do you think we should do?" Abby looks back at him with a slight sparkle in her eye. "I just think, if we put our heads together, as a team, we could probably find a way to break them up. Then, Andrew could be with me and Paige could be with you." "I don't know," Max quickly tells her. "I've gone down a road like that before and it didn't work out." "But, you didn't have me helping you!" Abby presses him. "Look, just think about it, okay? I'd hate for us to both miss out on people we both really care about." "Fine, I'll think about it," he winks back to her. "But no promises." The Black House; Helen & Dawn's Home Dawn sits on the sofa in her childhood home reading a book to get her mind off the fact that her baby is dead and that Barbara is still in Raven's Meadow. As she reads, however, she can't help but think back to her last conversation with Shelley, where the older lesbian asked her if she had feelings for Cheresa. If Dawn is honest with herself, she probably does, she realizes, but she also realizes that she isn't in the best place to have a relationship just yet because of her headspace. She sets her book down when she hears the doorbell ring. "I wonder who that could be," she whispers to herself as she moves to the front door. She opens the door and gets a huge smile on her face when she sees Cheresa standing in front of her. "Cheresa? Oh my God!" Dawn says as she grabs her friend and pulls her into a hug. "You have no idea how much I missed you." Cheresa laughs as she holds Dawn back. "I missed you too," she admits as they exit their embrace. "I am glad to be out of the house, let me tell you." "I heard about Andrew, he will be okay?" "Yea, he was released from the hospital today," Cheresa tells her as they move into the living room and sit next to one another. "I was super scared when I saw him in the pool, though." "I can't imagine," Dawn admits to her as she shakes her head. "But you, you're a hero. I'm so proud of you." Cheresa's cheeks flush. "Thanks. So, how are you? How was your summer?" "It was boring compared to yours," Dawn winks back at her. "Seriously though, I'm getting better. I'm not back to my normal self, but I don't think I will ever be. I think this is my new normal." "As long as you're okay with you, nothing else matters." "I'm so glad you're back," Dawn grabs her hand. "I missed you, a lot Cheresa. I didn't realize how much you meant to me until you were gone." "I'm not going anywhere, Dawn," Cheresa replies to him. "Good," Dawn tells her. Cheresa looks back at Dawn and finds herself leaning in and kissing her friend. The kiss lasts a moment before they pause and look at one another. "Guess you missed me too," Dawn winks back to her. "I really did," Cheresa nods before she leans in and kisses Dawn again. Robin's Townhouse Adam slowly parks his car in driveway of Robin's townhouse. She's sitting next to him with a blindfold around her eyes. He looks over at her and can't help but get a sly grin on his face, knowing what he is planning for her. "Okay, can you please take this thing off my eyes now?" she asks him, growing impatient. "I can't believe I let you do this to me!" "If I take it off now, it'll ruin the surprise," Adam replies to her. "Don't worry, it's almost over. You trust me, don't you?" "Of course I trust you," Robin uneasily smiles back to him. "Good, I'm going to get out of the car and help you out, okay?" he tells her as she nods back to him. He helps her leave the car and they start to walk towards the front door. He allows her to move into the foyer. "Okay, are you ready?" "Yes!" she laughs. "I'm so ready!" Adam slowly removes the blindfold and Robin gasps at the sight of her living room. There are rose peddles everywhere, including some more peddles lightly falling from the ceiling like rain. In the middle of the room is a large heart, made out of roses with a ring box in the middle. "What is all this?" Robin asks him, shocked by what he has done for her. "Why don't you go open the box in the heart and find out," he winks back to her. She lightly slaps his chest before she turns around and walks into the raining roses. She grabs the box as peddles get stuck in her hair. She opens the box and sees a large diamond ring in the box. "Oh Adam," she gasps at the sight of the ring. "I love you more than life itself," Adam tells her as he walks up to her. "Will you do me the honor of being my wife?" Robin smiles and grabs him into a hug. "I'd love nothing more than to marry you," she says into his ear. They part and he kisses her passionately. "I love you," he tells her when their lips part. "I love you too," she replies to him. "But wait, we forgot something." "What?" Adam asks her concerned. "The ring, put it on my finger!" she laughs as he chuckles with her. He takes the ring out of the box and slides it on her finger. "It's beautiful, Adam." "Not nearly as beautiful as you are, Robin." Roboto; Bob's Office "I see you're alone now," Bob says cryptically as he reopens the door to his office and moves inside. His blood is boiling at the sight of seeing Kim kiss Greg again; he knows that she told him she was flirting with the doctor to get information about Felicia, but she has crossed the line this time, in his mind. Kim turns and looks at her husband and gulps in the process. She can tell that he isn't happy, and the fact that he said alone now means that he must have known Greg was here. "I can explain," she begins to say to him. "Save it," Bob replies to her. "I can forgive you for kissing Greg once since you told him to use electrotherapy on Felicia, but a second time? Are you trying to play me for a fool yet again, Kimberly?" "It's not like that," she tells him. "I was looking for you and he was in here waiting for me. He kissed him; and I told him it couldn't happen again." "It certainly seemed like you were enjoying his lips," he sneers back to her. "Maybe we can't overcome our past after all." "Bob," she scolds him. "Enough! You know I love you. You know everything I've done for you, for me, for this company! I wouldn't risk all of that for another man, especially Greg Lawson." "I'd like to believe you," he grits his teeth back to her. "But your history speaks for itself." Kim moves up to him and puts her hands on his chest. "Please, listen to me!" "Get off me," he throws her hands off him. "Get out of here! Get out!" "No, Bob, please, listen to me!" Kim pleads with him. "Get out Kim, before I say or do something we'll both regret," he yells at her. "I need time to process this!" "Please, I love you Bob, don't let this ruin us! I won't let you do this!" "I won't ask you again," Bob glares at her. "Get out before I throw you out!" Next on One
