Episode Theme song: "Say It
First" Sam Smith Previously
on One Day at a Time Twin Peaks General Hospital
"This is my time," Brandy whispers to herself. "And everyone who crossed Victoria will pay because I will make sure of that." Before she can say anything else to herself, she hears a knock on her door. She knows that she is expecting another visit from Craig today because he has been ill since he was diagnosed with HIV. Brandy still can't believe how rude Lukas was to her last time Craig had an appointment with her; she understands that he is ill but in her mind, he did this to himself by having unprotected sex. It's certainly not her fault that he is not suffering. Although, based on the way Craig behaved to Donovan when he got back together with Lukas, Brandy thinks that Craig is getting exactly what he deserves. She puts a smile on her face when Craig comes into the office, despite him looking rather pale still. "Craig, how are you feeling? I hope you are feeling better from our last visit?" Craig slowly moves into the office and sits down before he runs his hands through his hair. "I am starting to feel a little better, yea," he tells her. "The new medication you gave me is helping a lot." "Good," Brandy nods back to him. "I told you it would work, like I said, it's just one of those things that your body is getting accustomed too." "Yea, it's just been rough because I got sick so quickly," Craig admits to her. "I'm a doctor, I know that it shouldn't impact me so soon." "Everyone reacts different to medication and procedures," Brandy replies to him quickly. "However, let me give you another dose and then you can be on your way and you should be feeling better very, very soon." "Thank you," Craig manages to say back to her before she gives him two blue pills and a glass of water. He quickly swallows the pills with the water. "I hate to cut this short, but I actually have a scheduled shift at Raven's Meadow that I have to leave for," Brandy advises him. "If you need anything else though, please let me know." "I will, thanks again Victoria. And, I'm sorry about Lukas the other day. He's just concerned about me." "I'm sure he is," Brandy rolls her eyes. "Like I said, let me know if you need anything." Craig stands up and quickly leaves the office. In the hallway, he pauses to collect himself by taking a deep breath. He opens his eyes and sees Shane walking by. Shane stops when he sees his friend and co-worker. "Craig, hey, how are you doing? You still look pretty pale," Shane admits to him as Craig starts walking with him. "Yea, I know," he replies. "I'm hoping that this new medication Victoria put me on will help." Shane arches his eyebrow, immediately wondering what drugs Victoria is administrating to him. "Well, I'd be happy to give you a second opinion if these drugs don't work," Shane admits to him, having never seen a case like this with HIV before. "I appreciate that Shane, thank you. But, I do think Victoria knows what she is doing." "Yea," Shane smiles back to him. "She's a great doctor. But, just know, that the offer stands." "Thanks," Craig replies to him. "I'm just going to find Lukas and Donovan; they drove me here today. I'll see you later?" "Yea, sure." ***
"No," Lukas looks back at Donovan. "I kinda went off on Victoria, to be honest. I really gave it to her because Craig has been so sick." "You didn't tell me that." "No, I didn't. I didn't want to upset you because I know Victoria is your sister and I know you care about her," Lukas reveals to him. "But the fact is, Craig shouldn't be this sick." Donovan sighs back to him and nods. "I know it has been odd, but I do think Victoria is a great doctor. I don't think she would purposely make Craig sick or anything like that." "Neither do I," Lukas replies to him. "I don't want to upset you, but something is still off with this. I don't believe that these drugs that Craig is on should make him that sick." "But he is feeling better now, isn't he? That's what I thought he was alluding to when we were on our way here." "Finally he is," Lukas continues to be harsh with Victoria. "But, why did he get so sick?" "What are you saying?" "I don't know," Lukas sighs in frustration. "It just seems like something doesn't make sense. I just don't know what it is." *** "I'm glad that your checkup went well, I was a little concerned," Eva tells her husband as they walk together through the hospital. She knows that Dominick has been incredibly stressed lately because of the Roboto summer campaign that he has been trying to match and the ordeal with Felicia being at Raven's Meadow; the fact that he has been given a clean bill of health is a reassurance to her. "There is no need to be concerned, I'm perfectly fine," Dominick smiles back to her. "But, if it has put your mind at ease, I'm glad that I came and got looked at by the doctor." "You've just been under so much stress lately," Eva reminds him. "Between Robertson Enterprises and Felicia, I was concerned." "Well, I have news for you on that front," he stops and looks at his wife. "I've been thinking about Felicia an awful lot." Eva arches her eyebrow. "What about her?" "Your concerns about the electroshock therapy," Dominick reveals to her. "I'm beginning to think that you've been right; maybe she doesn't need that intensive kind of treatments." "What about her dreams of seeing someone outside the boutique the night of the fire?" "What about them?" Dominick shrugs his shoulders. "She hasn't had one in a while, from my understanding. Maybe this new medication that Greg has her on is finally working. I'm just saying, maybe I rushed into this decision and now I'm second guessing it." Eva pulls him into a hug. "Do me a favor and call Greg soon?" she tells him. "I'd rather you stop this before he does anything to Felicia that you will regret." "I'll call him shortly," he says as they exit their embrace. "Now, I know you wanted to go see Victoria, so go see her before she leaves for Raven's Meadow and we'll touch base soon." "Okay, I love you," Eva tells him before she rushes off to Victoria's office. Dominick nods back to her before he turns and continues to walk back towards the elevators so he can leave. As he walks, however, he can't help but see Leah pacing back and forth close to the nurses station. He wonders why his daughter is at the hospital and hopes that everything is okay. "Leah, darling," he says as he approaches her, causing her to stop pacing and look back at her father. "What are you doing here? Are you okay?" Leah uneasily nods back to him, knowing that she has to get a DNA test done to see if Meggan's baby is really Jeff's child or not. Of course, she can't tell Dominick this because it would cause more drama than she needs right because it could be that Brad actually is the child's father. "I'm fine Dad," Leah tells him quickly. "I I went to the Calimo cabin and Meggan Richardson was there," she reveals to him. "What does that have to do with you being here?" "Because, she went into labour and I helped her deliver her baby," Leah admits to him. "I'm just here to make sure she and the baby are okay." "Wow, goodness," Dominick replies to her. "I guess if I ever need doctor in the future "' "Very funny," Leah lightly jabs him. "It was something I'll never forget, I'll tell you that. But, what are you doing here?" "I had a checkup," Dominick says. "But don't worry, I'm fine. I'm actually heading into the office soon. Have you come up with any ideas to compete with the Roboto's Gen Next campaign?" "With everything else going on, I'm afraid I haven't," she tells him. "But I am going to help you. I promise." "That's what I like to hear," he winks back to her. "Okay, see you at the office?" "Yea, see you at the office," Leah hugs him goodbye. She waits until Dominick is on the elevator before she moves up to the nurses station and looks at the woman behind the counter. "The test I ordered, how long will it take?" "Should only be a couple of days." "And no one will know that I've requested this, correct?" The nurse smiles back to her. "We don't share private information like that with anyone." "Good," Leah uneasily looks back at her as she gulps. "That's what I needed to know." She turns around and takes a deep breath. "And, in a few days, I'll know the truth. I'll know if Jeff is the father of baby Logan." *** "Hey, I heard congratulations is in order," Jeff says quietly as he opens the door to Meggan's hospital room and sees her sitting up in her hospital bed holding her child in her arms. Meggan uneasily looks back at him and cradles baby Logan a little tighter. She knew that this moment would come eventually, but she still doesn't know how she can keep lying to Jeff when she is holding his son in her arms. She takes a deep breath and tells her that she has come too far to turn back now. "Thank you," she manages to say to him. "I wasn't expecting you to stop by." "I wasn't going to," Jeff moves closer to her and the baby. "But, I felt this urge, something I can't explain, to come and see you and the baby. He's beautiful." "He is the best thing that has ever happened to me," she replies to him. "His name is Logan; Logan Spencer Richardson." Jeff arches his eyebrow at her name choice. "Richardson? Not Lawson?" "That's right," Meggan nods back to him. "Brad and I, we aren't married so I wanted my son to have my name." At the door, Brad peers through watching the two interact. He opens the door slightly so he can try to hear what they are talking about. He was hoping to have some one on one time with Meggan and Logan, but now he is seeing Jeff in the room and he immediately wonders why. The last time he saw Jeff, he was rude to Brad and now he is with Meggan and his child. "I see," Jeff says back to her. "That's very progressive of you." Meggan chuckles. "I guess it is. Thanks for stopping by, Jeff. I really appreciate that." "Of course," Jeff tells her. "We went through a lot together, I meant it when I said that I will always care about you. Just because I'm married and with Leah now doesn't change what we had." "Nothing will ever take that away from us," she locks eyes with him. "No, and now you have this beautiful boy," Jeff tells her. "And, nothing will ever change that." "You're right, nothing ever will." Outside the door, Brad takes a deep breath as he begins to wonder if Jeff is actually the father of Logan. He never asked Meggan before, because he didn't care, but he is now left wondering what is still between Jeff and Meggan and what it means for his future. *** "Oh Mom," Brandy gasps as she opens the door to her office and sees Eva about to knock. "I was just on my way to Raven's Meadow. I have a shift there. Is everything okay?" "Of course," Eva nods back to her. "I was just coming to see you, to make sure that you're alright." "Yes, I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?" "No reason," Eva shrugs her shoulders. "I just know that you have been spreading yourself pretty thin lately with these two jobs. I hope you're not over doing it." "Not at all," Brandy replies to her quickly. "I'm learning more at Raven's Meadow than I thought I would. It's great for me. And, there are some interesting patients there that I know I can help." "I'm so glad to hear that," Eva smiles back to her daughter. "Speaking of, I have to get to my one patient. She's about to start a very special treatment that I have planned for her," Brandy purses her lips together. "Let's do dinner soon?" "Yes, yes of course," Eva replies to her. "Call me and we'll arrange it, darling." The Tower's; The Penthouse; Cory & Natasha' Home "So, that's all the email from Jacob said?" Cory asks his wife as he pours himself a glass of white wine, as he listens to how Natasha told him about Jacob's email saying that he would get in touch with her and Shane very soon. It's odd to Cory that Jacob didn't say more because for so long, he and Natasha were very close. Something, in his mind, must be going on with the young man. "That's all it said," Natasha nods back to him as she takes a sip of her sparkling water. Her large pregnant belly is very exposed as she sits on the sofa. She leans forward and gives a small grunt as she does so while she sets her glass down on the coffee table. "Shane thought it was weird too." "Yea, it is weird," Cory moves back to the sofa to join her. "But, I guess he is a young man. Maybe he is going through things that he doesn't want his parents to know about." "Like what?" Cory uneasily chuckles to his wife. "Maybe there's a girl, or girls, in his life that are keeping him busy?" "I don't want to think about that!" "I know you don't," Cory puts his on her leg. "But he is at that age." Before Natasha can reply, she hears her cell phone ping with a new message. Cory reaches over and grabs her phone for her and gives it to his wife. "Thanks, I didn't want to reach that far," she chuckles as she turns her phone on. "I figured as much," he laughs back with as he sees Natasha's face turn pale. "Nat, what is it? What was the message?" "I don't believe this," she tells him with intent in her eyes. "It's a text from Jacob." "What does it say?" "He's engaged," Natasha stands up in shock. "He's engaged! Does he know how young he is? Who could this girl be? How can he get married when he hasn't even dated yet? I can't believe this!" "Nat, try to stay calm, we don't know all the details yet." "Calm? You want me to stay calm?" she shrieks at him, floored by Jacob's text message. Suddenly, she kneels over in pain. "Ahh, oh my God," she says. "Natasha, what's wrong?" Cory stands up and moves up to her. "How can I help? This is why I told you to stay calm!" "There's no time for that," she locks eyes with him. "My water, it just broke." Raven's Meadow "I see, well make sure any treatments to Barbara Mills are approved by me first," Greg says into his phone as he sits at his desk. "This is still my hospital; I appreciate everything Victoria has done around here, but Barbara is still my patient." He looks over at the door while he stays on the phone and sees Kim storm into his office. She slams the door shut and moves to his desk, making him realize that he has to deal with her sooner rather than later. "Yes, that would be fine, like I said, nothing happens without my approval, understood?" he say sternly. "Good, thank you." He hangs up the phone and looks up at Kim, who is fuming. "Well, what do I owe this pleasure?" he stands up and looks at her with a sly grin on his face. His mind is already thinking back to how he kissed her when he visited her at Roboto; the taste of her lips is already coming back to him. She raises her hand and slaps him hard across the cheek. "You son of a bitch," she spits at him as he holds his red cheek. "I warned you about coming to Roboto and kissing me, but you didn't listen to me, did you? No, you had to come to my husband's office and kiss me - again! How could you be so stupid?" Greg holds his cheek as he glares back at her. "What has gotten into you?" "Bob saw us kissing!" she hisses back to him. "Do you know that he threw me out? He doesn't trust me now!" "And the first place you come running is to my office?" he asks her, getting another grin on his face. "Does this mean you want to have hot, angry sex with me?" "Ugh," Kim groans back to him. "You're the worst! Nothing, Greg, will ever happen between us, okay? I love my husband. This little flirtation we had, it's over, do you hear me, it's over because I will not lose my marriage! Not to you or anyone else, so the sooner you get that through your head the better we will all be." "You're so hot when you're mad." "Stay the hell away from me," Kim storms back to the door. "Or, I will not be responsible for my actions." She slams the door shut as Greg caresses his cheek again. "She has a good swing," he whispers to himself, slightly turned on by Kim's anger with him. *** Brandy scurries into the common room of the hospital and immediately sees Barbara and Felicia sitting next to one another. Barbara is still starring forward into space while Felicia is reading a book. Brandy arches her eyebrow as she moves up to the woman. "Barbara, I'm so glad I saw you today," she says coming up to the woman, while Felicia casually turns to Brandy and Barbara. "Soon, I'm going to start some very special treatment for you that will make you all better." "A special treatment? I'm curious about that," Felicia replies to her, trying not to eavesdrop. "This doesn't concern you," Brandy tells Felicia. "You should mind your business and focus on your health, okay? And leave Barbara to me." Felicia awkwardly puts her face back into the book, but continues to look over at Brandy and Barbara. She sees Brandy grab Barbara's hand she gives it a little squeeze. She then sees Brandy lean into tell Barbara something else, so she tries to focus in on what Brandy is saying and it comes through crystal clear to Felicia. "I'm going to make you pay for sending Dawn to that summer camp where she raped," Brandy whispers to Barbara. "You will pay for that old woman." Felicia gulps and shakes her head a little, hoping that she misheard, but the words repay over and over in her head, which cause a shiver to be sent down her spine. Roboto Tyler sits in his office with his laptop open on a Google search page. Next to him is the weird device that he found in Bob's personal study in the Calimo mansion; the one that Kim told him was a family heirloom, but he still thinks that she is lying to him about what the device actually is. In his mind it looks more like a listening device, like a bug or something. But, why would Kim lie to him about what it could be? "That's what I have to figure out," he whispers to himself as he types into the search engine. He waits for the results to come up, but he doesn't see anything on the images screen that matches listening device that looks like the device that he has next to him. "What the hell could this be?" Bob walks into the office and immediately sees the device on Tyler's desk. "I read that report you left me," Bob tells him, trying to act normal about seeing the device on Tyler's desk. "The figures from the Gen Next House are better than I would have thought after Andrew's accident." Tyler quickly closes the top of his computer and gulps, hoping that Bob didn't see what he was doing. He also tries to cover the device up; he has to figure out what it is first before he confronts Bob and Kim about it. "Yea, the results are amazing," Tyler replies to him. "I'm actually thinking of a follow up to the campaign. I'm racking my brain about a new campaign." "Well, I can't wait to hear about it," Bob smiles back to him. "Good work, Tyler." "Thank you, Bob." Bob leaves the office, not even trying to take the device away from Tyler. As he stands outside of the office, Bob glares forward as he remembers seeing Kim kiss Greg, then kicking her out because he was tired of her excuses. He shakes his head in disgust. "I won't be played for a fool again Kimberly," he whispers to himself. "And, now that I know that Tyler has the device, maybe he should listen to it. Maybe he should realize that you started that damn fire after all. That would teach you, wouldn't it?" he asks himself as he gets an evil glimmer in his eye. Next
