Left for You" Sam Smith Previously
on One Day at a Time Twin Peaks General Hospital "Have you gotten any sleep at all?" Andy asks Kim as he moves into the waiting room holding two coffees. He passes his sister one of them, as she leans up in the chair that she is resting in. She hasn't been back home yet since she learned that Bob was in his car accident; she can't bear the thought of leaving her husband in case he wakes up again and he needs her. Plus, with Simona hovering around asking questions about Felicia's brainwashing, Kim wants to stay close so she can protect her and Bob. "Not much," Kim admits to him as she accepts his coffee. "Thanks for the coffee. I need it." "Do you?" he asks her. "Maybe you should go home and get some sleep. You won't do Bob any good if you're burnt out." "No, I can't leave him," Kim replies to her brother. "I can't leave him in case he wakes up again. It was only for a moment, but he did wake up, Andy." "That has to be a good sign, right?" "I hope so," Kim nods back to him, trying to stay positive. "I can't lose him, Andy. I don't know what I would do " "Hey, we have to stay positive, okay? He's not going anywhere," Andy tells her as Kim lets a tear fall down her cheek. "I thought I saw Simona Lopez here, is everything okay?" Kim sighs. "Nothing is okay right now Andy. Nothing." Before Andy can reply, Simona enters the waiting room. "Mrs. Calimo," the detective says. "I'm glad you're still here. I have more questions about Felicia Robertson's brainwashing. And, I'm not leaving until I get some answers," Simona tells her as Andy looks back at his sister in utter shock about what he just heard. *** "Darling, I'm sure that Victoria is just trying to protect herself," Dominick tells his wife, who has just told him that Victoria, seemingly, misdiagnosed Craig with HIV and when Eva asked her about it, she got very defensive with her. Dominick, meanwhile, realizes that Victoria must be trying to save her name from being dragged through the mud if she honestly believes she didn't do anything wrong. "You're probably right," Eva tells him as they sit across from one another in the cafeteria. "But, it was just her tone and attitude. I don't recall ever seeing her so angry before. It it scared me." "She has been spreading herself pretty thin between the two jobs," Dominick reminds her. "Maybe she is just stressed out." "I hope that's all it is," Eva says back to him. " Shane has been worried about her since her attack on the pier last February." "That's a long time ago." "I know," Eva nods back to him. "I just hope I haven't been ignoring some warning signs. Anyways, I'm going to see Shane in a little while to discuss with him. I know that you and Tyler left the engagement party together; does that mean you two are finally back on good terms?" Dominick slyly smiles back her. "I hope that's where we are headed," he admits to her. "I just can't believe that Bob brainwashed Felicia into believing she started the fire at the boutique. You know what that means, don't you? It means that either he or Kim actually started the fire and they have been getting off scotch free ever since." "I know that you and Bob have hated one another for years," Eva tells him. "But, I still can't believe that he would torch your property. It seems so extreme." "This is the man who replaced Felicia's medication before which lead to us believing Leah was dead," Dominick reminds her. "But you know what? I've had it. I will make sure he pays this time. He won't get away this. Not anymore, his days of hurting my family are over." "What are you going to do?" "If he walks out of this hospital alive, I will make sure he spends the rest of his miserable life behind bars." Before Eva can reply, they hear someone else walk into the cafeteria. They look over and see Tyler standing there with his hands in his pockets. "Tyler," Dominick stands up greet his son. "Do you think we can talk? I think we should clear the air, don't you?" The Sugarbowl "I am so sorry that you're going through this," Paige tells Dawn as they sit in the back booth of the coffeehouse with Cheresa sitting next to Dawn. The two friends are trying to support Dawn since she is going through a rough time because of Helen's death. Paige knows what she is going through, having believed Leah was dead for years before a miracle happened and Leah turned out to be alive; but the pain that she felt when she thought Leah was dead was unlike anything else she has gone through. "If we can do anything, you know we are here for you," Cheresa echoes Paige's words of comfort to Dawn. "Thanks guys," Dawn replies to them. "I just don't know how to process this. It honestly doesn't even feel real, except for the fact that I saw my mother in the morgue." "I can't believe you did that," Paige shakes her head back to her friend. "That must have been so difficult." "I don't think I will ever forget what I saw," she admits. "But, it was the only way to make this real for me. My Mom is dead, I saw her body." Dawn stops and sighs to herself, trying not to cry again. "You know what's weird? At the engagement party, I was telling Cheresa that I felt like my life was in a really good place. I was finally feeling normal again after everything that happened with my Grandma and baby and now this." "It's been a rough year," Cheresa grabs her hand. "There's no doubt about it. But, we are here for you. Never forget that, okay?" A tear falls down Dawn's cheek. "I hope so, I can't get through this without you guys. Burying my Mom," she gasps for some air. "It's going to be the hardest thing I've ever done." "We won't leave you, we promise," Paige nods back to her friend. "Anything you need, just tell us." The Black House; Helen & Dawn's Home "I made you some tea," Robin announces to Adam, who is sitting on the sofa in the home that he shared with Helen for so manty years He is still raw from everything that has happened in the last few hours; being at the engagement party that he threw to surprise Robin, to Helen leaving without saying goodbye because he knows that she was struggling with the fact that they recently had sex, to learning about Helen being a car accident and then her dying from the injuries. He has been trying to be strong for Dawn, and then Barbara, but now that he is alone, he feels like is going to fall apart. He can't believe that the mother of his child is really gone. "Adam?" Robin comes and sits next to him. "Hey, are you okay?" "No," he replies to her as a tear falls down his cheek. "Helen is gone, Robin. She's dead." "If I can do anything " "What is there to do?" he asks her. "Nothing anyone says or does will bring her back. She's lost to us. Dawn has no mother." "I'm so sorry, Adam. I really, really am." "It just doesn't seem fair," Adam lets another tear fall down his cheek. "Dawn lost her own child this year, we've essentially lost Barbara and now " Robin doesn't let him finish his sentence; she pulls him into a hug and holds him as he slowly starts to weep. "I'm right here babe," Robin whispers to him as he cries. "Let it out, I'm right here." The Lawson Estate; Greg, Brooke, Abby & Cheresa's Home "Have you heard the news?" Brooke asks Greg as she walks into the living room just as her husband is pouring himself a scotch. Brooke didn't attend the engagement party with Greg because she knew that Robbie was going to be there and she didn't want to run into her lover since she is trying to determine what, exactly they are to one another. Robbie seemingly wants more than just sex but she is married. Greg picks up his drink and takes a sip of it before he turns to his wife, his mind on the fact that Kim basically told them they could continue to flirt with one another as long as it was out of sight from the rest of the world. Something about Kim makes him crazy; he wants her badly. "No, I don't think I have. What is going on now?" "There was a car accident," Brooke tells him. "Bob Calimo and Helen Mills were involved. I just heard that Bob is in critical condition and Helen she didn't make it." "My God," Greg gasps back to her, his mind immediately thinking about Kim. "This is awful." "What is awful?" Abby asks her parents as she moves into the living room with Brad following her. "Yea, what's going on?" Brad asks his parents. "Bob Calimo and Helen Mills were in a car accident," Brooke reveals to them, as Abby gasps in shock. "Are they okay?" she asks her mother. "I'm afraid Helen didn't make it," Greg tells his daughter. "Oh my God, Dawn!" Abby covers her mouth as she thinks about her friend. "I have to find out if she is okay!" "Hey, Abs, wait up," Brad follows her into the foyer. "I know this isn't the time because you found out about your friend's Mom, but I need to talk to you about Max." "What about him?" Abby asks him, desperate to get to her phone to call Dawn. "Can't this wait?" "No, I need you to stay away from him. He's bad news." "Brad, don't tell me who I can and can't be friends with okay? Now, I have more important things to worry about," Abby informs him, before she rushes off to find her phone, causing Brad to sigh heavily. He knows that he has to make sure Max doesn't hurt his sister the way he hurt Robin. Back inside the living room Brooke looks over at Greg. "It's funny," she says looking at her husband. "These types of things make you realize what is really important: family." "I couldn't agree more," he replies to her. "You think Abby will be okay?" "She will be, she will be there for Dawn. She's a good kid. We have to stick together though, Greg. We have to put this foolishness behind us." Greg uneasily nods back to her as he takes another sip of his drink. He looks at his wife and can tell that she is serious, but his mind is entirely on Kim right now as he wonders how she is doing. "Yea, absolutely, you're right. Family first, Brooke." The Claus House; Jeff, Leah & Paige's Home "I just felt awful for Dawn," Paige tells her parents as she pours herself a cup of water from the bar in the living room. Paige came home from seeing Dawn and has told Leah and Jeff the tragic news about Helen's death. Leah and Jeff, like everyone who knew Helen, is in a state of shock by the news of her passing. "She was so sad. She's lost her baby, her grandma and now her Mom all in the same year." "I just can't believe Helen is gone," Leah covers her mouth. "It makes you realize how precious life is." "It certainly does," Jeff replies to her. "It makes me grateful for you two. My two girls, you're everything. My family means so much to me." Leah gulps thinking about how she is keeping the fact that Logan is really Jeff's son from him right now. She tries to push it out of her mind, but she finds her conscious telling her over and over again. "It's nice that Dawn has you and your group of friends," Leah tells her daughter, trying to make her mind think of something else. "She will need you guys a lot right now." "Speaking of your friends," Jeff looks over at Leah. "How well do you Max Black?" "Pretty well, why?" Paige turns to her father. Jeff shrugs back to her. "I just don't know him very well," Jeff tells her, thinking about how and Leah heard Brad warn Max to stay away from Cheresa. "We want to trust your judgement with your friends, but we know more about the others in your group, that's all." "Yea, you have nothing to worry about," Paige replies to him. "He will be upset by this news too. I should go see how he is, excuse me." Once Paige has left the room, Leah pulls her husband into a hug. "Thank you," she whispers. "I know you said we should trust her and you're right, but I am worried about Max; especially with Helen passing. It just makes you realize how precious life is." "I know," Jeff replies to her. "But we are together for the long haul. Nothing will ever come between us, I promise you that." Leah uneasily smiles back to him, her conscious already scolding her for not telling him the truth about Logan. "Hey, are you okay?" Jeff asks her, seeing that she is upset about something. "I'm fine," she waves her hand as a tear falls down her cheek. "I just love you so much. I don't want to lose you." "You won't," Jeff says back to her. "Nothing will come between us." Twin Peaks General Hospital "Thanks for meeting with me," Eva tells Shane as she opens the door to his office and moves inside. She left Dominick and Tyler alone to talk in private because they had to discuss their issues and she has to see Shane about Victoria because she is now worried about her daughter as well. "I saw Victoria." "And?" Shane asks her as he stands up from his desk as he knows that when he confronted Victoria for Craig's misdiagnosis, she got very defensive with him. He has no idea what is going on with Victoria, but he knows something must be up. "How did she seem?" "To be honest, I've never seen her so angry before," Eva informs him. "She threatened to sue you for slander if you continued down this road." "So, are you finally agreeing with me that something is going on with her? That doesn't' sound like the Victoria I know at all." Eva uneasily nods back to him. "Something is going on with her. The question is, what is it? And, how can we help her?" *** "Simona is with Kim right now," Tyler tells Dominick as he sits across from his father in the cafeteria. "I hope that she is able to get some kind of confession from her." "I was telling Eva that either way Bob is going to pay," Dominick replies to him. "He will either be dead or he will spend the rest of his life in jail." "And, we have to get Mom out of Raven's Meadow," Tyler says back to him. "That should be our next step." "I've already left Simona voicemail saying that to her," Dominick smiles back to him. "Seems like we are back on the same page." "Yea, it does." "Look, Tyler," Dominick tells his son. "I know what happened last year will be with you forever and I know my role in will haunt you, but maybe this is the first step for us getting back in each other's lives. I love you and want to have a relationship with you." "I want that too, Dad," Tyler admits to him. "I quit my job at Roboto. How about I come back to work at Robertson and we go from there?" "You have no idea how happy I am to hear that," Dominick says to him as he stands up. "Can we hug it out?" Tyler laughs little as he stands up and hugs his father. "Welcome back my boy." "It's good to be back," Tyler says to him. "Now, let's get Mom back and make Bob pay." *** Andy sits in awe, having just heard the details of Simona's theory that Bob brainwashed Felicia into believing she started the fire at the boutique. He can't believe that Kim and Bob actually did this, if it is true. "I don't know what you want me to say," Kim tells Simona, as she faces the detective. "I want the truth," Simona tells her. "Did you or Bob start the fire at the boutique last year? Did you cover it up by brainwashing Felicia into believing she started the fire?" "Of course not!" Kim shrieks back to her. "You claim you found this device, right? From Tyler and Dominick?" "That's right, they brought it to me," Simona nods back to them. "Given the source, you have to ask yourself the legitimacy of this device," Kim tells her. "Dominick has hated my husband for decades. This is their way of setting us up to take the fall for something that a member of their family did. Felicia started the fire and now they want to peg it on Bob and me. But that can't happen. I won't allow it! My husband is fighting for his life for crying out loud!" Simona uneasily looks back at her, realizing that she does have a point; maybe the Robertson's are setting up Bob. "I know he is, but I have to find out the truth about this. And I will Kim. So, if you're lying, you're only digging yourself a bigger grave." "I'm not lying! Now, I need to get back to my husband." "Very well, but we'll be in touch," Simona tells her. Andy stands up as the detective leaves the waiting room. Kim turns to him as he arches his eyebrow. "Okay, it's only me," Andy tells her. "Did you or Bob do this? Did you really brainwash Felicia?" *** Brandy slowly opens the door to the morgue and moves inside. She is still in control of Victoria's body, and with everything going on right now, she knows that she has to stay strong so she can finish her plans. She has to alter Craig's file to ensure everyone believes that he has HIV. She has come too far for her plan to fall apart now. "Of course he doesn't have the disease," she whispers to herself. "But that son of a bitch treated Donovan like a piece of shit and I won't let him get away with it. He needs to be taught a lesson," she continues to say to herself. "Just like Barbara will pay the price for sending Dawn to the bible camp. As soon as I'm done here, I'm going back to Raven's Meadow to give her more shock therapy. She will learn not to hurt people." Brandy moves closer to the body laying under the white sheet. "Just you like, Helen," she whispers. "You sent Dawn to that camp. You played a role in her rape, just like Barbara," she says as she lifts the white sheet and looks at Helen's body. "And for that, you will pay the price. You already are," Brandy says as she starts to laugh to herself. Next
