Theme song: "Over You" Macy Gray Previously
on One Day at a Time - Lukas and Donovan remained at odds over Victoria.
Shane, meanwhile, went to Victoria's condo and found a shrine Brandy created of
all the people who had hurt her, including Helen - On the day of his wedding
to Robin, Adam comforted Dawn as she was still grieving Helen & Barbara
- Vinny continued to want to get revenge on Daisy & Tyler or their affair
while telling Brett that he would never forgive him. Daisy & Tyler, meanwhile,
shared a couple of kisses - Paige dumped Andrew after seeing him kiss Paige.
Andrew was dumbfounded as he didn't know why Paige ended things The
Tower's; Floor Eight; Victoria's Condo Shane looks at the shrine
that he pulled out of Victoria's closet in complete and utter shock. On the poster
board, there are pictures of, seemingly, everyone who has hurt Brandy, or Victoria,
in some capacity. Pictures of Craig, Dave, Barbara, Shane and Helen are on the
board. Shane immediately knows why he, Craig, and Dave's pictures are there, but
Barbara and Helen? "Does this mean that Brandy did kill you, Barbara?"
he whispers in horror as he runs his finger over Helen's face. "And Helen?
I don't understand what this means? Why did Brandy hate you?" He
pulls out his phone and quickly snaps a couple of pictures of the shrine. He then
checks his messages; he doesn't see any update from the hospital about Victoria's
condition. He had hoped that Victoria would have come out of her coma so he could
ask her about the shrine. He has a sinking feeling in the bottom of his stomach
that this means that Brandy did something horrible to both Barbara and Helen.
"My God," he whispers to himself as the blood drains from his face.
"Victoria was on duty when Helen was brought in from the car accident. Did
she kill Helen? Did Victoria take Dawn's mother and grandmother away from her?"
St. Joseph's Church "Vinny, hey, I'm glad I ran into
you," Trenyce says as she comes up to her Aunt's ex-husband. Vinny turns
to face her. "Well, don't you look lovely for the wedding,"
Vinny tells her as Trenyce smiles back to him. "Thank you, that's
nice of you to say." "Just being honest. Is Chris with you?"
"He is," Trenyce nods back to him. "He's just parking. The
lot is getting pretty full out there." "You know Twin Peaks,
everyone shows up to everyone's weddings," Vinny chuckles back to her. "Hopefully
this one takes place." "I was wondering if you've seen Brett
again?" Trenyce asks him as she recalls how Vinny told her that Brett was
out of jail and was in Twin Peaks. "I only ask because I heard from Donovan
that he was involved in a situation at the Calimo Cabin with Victoria."
"I heard," Vinny admits to her. "And, I went to see him in
the hospital. He got checked out by a doctor; he's fine, but I asked him what
he did to Victoria to make her snap." Trenyce arches her eyebrow
knowing that Brett wasn't responsible for what happened. "Donovan told me
it was Victoria's fault
" "I heard that as well,"
Vinny says back to her. "He's off the hook for this one, but I still don't
trust him." Before Trenyce can reply, she notices Vinny look over
her shoulder and he immediately turns bright red. Trenyce looks back and sees
Daisy and Tyler enter the church together holding hands. Trenyce looks back at
Vinny. "Are you okay?" "I'm fine," he lies to her.
"They slept together behind my back, why should I be surprised that they
are arriving to the church together for a wedding?" "Vinny
"
"Excuse me," he tells her. "I'm going to get some air before
the ceremony begins." Vinny rushes away from her quickly and moves
outside the church. Once he's outside, he takes a deep breath of the cold air
and feels some of the snow falling onto his head. He opens his eyes when
he hears someone calling his name. He can't believe that Brett is walking up to
him. This is the very last thing he expected or wanted to have happen after seeing
Daisy and Tyler together. "Sorry that I tracked you down at the church, but
this is important." "What do you want?" Vinny sighs heavily
as he asks his brother. "I just wanted you to know that I'm leaving
town," Brett tells him. "I realized after everything that happened at
the cabin that I don't belong here. There are too many bad memories of my past,
so I'm leaving." "And you're telling me this because
.?"
"Because you're still my brother," Brett looks back at him. "And
no matter what happens, that will never change. I also didn't want you going to
the mansion and being surprised that I'm not there." "Okay."
"Well, I guess this is goodbye then," Brett looks at him for a
moment longer. "Take care Vinny." Vinny doesn't say anything
as his twin brother turns around and walks away from him. "Good riddance,"
Vinny mumbles to himself before he turns around and braces to re-enter the church.
*** "I hope I'm not interrupting," Max announces
as he walks back into the room where Adam is getting ready for the wedding. He
immediately sees his father hugging Dawn on the small sofa in the room and hopes
that he's not ruining a moment between them; he knows that Dawn has been struggling
emotionally since both Helen and Barbara have died in the last few months. He
just hopes his half-sister is taking care of herself. "Not at all,"
Dawn stands up from the sofa and wipes her eyes dry. "Dad and I were just
finishing, right Dad?" "Only if you're sure you'll be okay,"
Adam looks at his daughter. "I want you to know that you're my priority Dawn.
Nothing else matters." "Your wedding matters," Dawn tells
him. "I will be okay. I just feel overwhelmed." "You know
that we are both here to talk or whatever, whenever you want, right?" Max
asks her as he grabs her hand. "You don't have to go through this alone."
Dawn slowly nods back to him. "I know that," she replies. "Thank
you." "The truth is," Adam tells his children. "A
part of me will always love Helen. We spent so many years together, it is impossible
for me not to have some sort of feelings for her. But, she is gone and never coming
back. And Robin, she is a wonderful woman. I'm just trying to move on and give
us some happiness." "You deserve to be happy Dad," Max
says back to him. "I think this wedding will do just that."
"That's what I'm counting on," Adam uneasily smiles back to them, before
he focuses on Dawn who is still misty. *** "Don't
you look beautiful?" Dominick says as he moves into the bridal room and sees
Robin standing in front of the mirror with her hair and makeup done. She's still
in her silk robe as she hasn't put her wedding dress on yet as she still has some
time before the ceremony begins. Robin turns and smiles at the sight
of her father. "Oh Daddy," she rushes up and gives him a hug. "I
can't believe this day is here." "Neither can I," Dominick
tells her. "You and Adam, you've been through a hell of a lot to get to this
point." "We have, haven't we? You don't think we rushed this
wedding? There seems to be so much more going on," Robin admits to him as
she looks at her ring for a moment. "I don't think there is such
a thing as rushing a wedding," he replies to his daughter. "I think
you and Adam getting married is exactly what everyone needs right now; something
to cheer for and be happy about. We've had far too much despair lately."
"That's what Adam and I were thinking," she admits to him. "I'm
just hope everything goes off without a hitch." "Don't you
worry about that," Dominick grabs her hands. "Nothing will stop you
from marrying Adam today. You will have the happiest day of your life today Robin,
and no one deserves it more than you." Robin lets a single tear
fall down her cheek as she pulls him into another hug. "I love you so much
Dad." "I love you too," Dominick holds her for a moment
longer. *** "Wait, so she just dumped you?"
Cheresa asks Andrew as they sit next to one another in the one of the back pews
of the church as they wait for the wedding to begin. Andrew just revealed to his
friend that Paige dumped him; Andrew has no idea why his girlfriend ended this
with him but he is just as dumbfounded as Cheresa is now. "Yea,
just a short time ago. I had been texting her and I left her a couple of voicemails
and she never got back to me," Andrew reveals to Cheresa. "I saw her
and she told me that it was over. She was pretty cold about it."
"And you have no idea what could have happened to make her change her mind
about seeing you?" Andrew shrugs his shoulders having no idea what
happened with Paige. He thought that everything was going well between them. This
has really come out of left field. "The last time we were together, we were
really together, if you know what I mean." Cheresa waves her hand
in the air. "I get it, I don't need any other details," she chuckles
back to him. "That's so weird, I'm sorry Andrew." "Thanks,"
Andrew looks back at her. "But, I want to know what the hell happened. We
really seemed to click. I want to know why she changed her mind on the drop of
a dime cause right now, something isn't adding up." ***
Paige takes a drink of water from the water fountain and then looks up, trying
to compose herself. She knew that Andrew would be here today, but seeing him was
still more difficult than she had thought it would be. After seeing Andrew kiss
Abby the other night, Paige knew that she couldn't carry on in a relationship
with him. There is no way that she was going to accept him cheating on her behind
her back; if anything, she's glad that Max took her to Andrew's apartment and
that she saw what she did; at least now, she can move on with her life and try
to find a guy that won't two time her. "Paige, are you alright?"
Abby asks her friend as she comes up behind Paige. Abby secretly knows that Paige
is probably reeling from ending her relationship with Andrew, as she overheard
the conversation earlier. Paige turns around and sees the woman that
was kissing Andrew. She's about to lash out at her, when Max approaches them.
"Hey guys, how are things?" "Fine," Paige manages
to say back to him. "Is your Dad almost ready?" "Yea,
I think so," Max nods back to her. "Hey, are you okay? You look pale."
"I was just asking her the same thing," Abby notes before she looks
back at Paige. "I'll be fine," Paige replies to them. "But,
I guess you guys should hear this from me
I dumped Andrew. We are over."
Max and Abby look at one another as their eyes dance together when they lock.
They look back at Paige and try to put on a sympatric look on their face.
"I can't believe it, you two seemed tight," Max begins to tell
her. "But, if there's anything I can do for you, you know I'm here for you."
"There's not," Paige quickly tells him. "At least not right
now. If you'll excuse me, I should go see if Robin needs anymore help."
As soon as Paige has left, Abby turns to Max with a huge grin on her face.
"We did it Max," she can't hide her excitement. "We broke them
up!" *** "I'm sorry to hear about Bob, how
is Kim doing?" Donovan asks Andy as they walk near the front of the church
together. Donovan has heard that Bob passed away following his injuries he obtained
in the car accident last fall. Andy sighs a little back to him. "She's
struggling, which makes sense," he tells his friend. "Just when things
were seemingly getting back to normal, this happens. I just hope she can handle
it. She's been through so much already. How is Victoria? Any change on her condition?"
Donovan shakes his head no. "She's still in a coma," he reveals
to him. "And, we don't know if or when she will wake up. And, if she does,
we have no idea if it will be Victoria or Brandy in control." "What
a mess," Andy tells his friend. "If I can do anything
"
"Just having your support means the world to me," Donovan admits
to him. "It's more than I'm getting from my own boyfriend."
"I did run into Lukas the other day at the hospital," Andy reveals to
Donovan. "He really seems to want Victoria to pay for what she did to Craig
and the others." "Yea, he does," Donovan nods back to
him. "He doesn't seem to care that she's my sister or that she was suffering
from a mental illness." "I'm sorry," Andy hugs him. "I
hope that Lukas comes around." "So do I," Donovan tells
him. "I also know how stubborn he is." "I guess that begs
the question," Andy looks him in the eye. "Will his quest to get revenge
on your sister come between the two of you?" ***
"Dawn, what are you doing back here?" Nicholas asks the younger woman
who has come into Nicholas' private room, where he is getting ready to complete
the ceremony for Adam and Robin. Nicholas looks at her for a moment and can see
that her eyes are red from crying. "Are you okay?" "I
don't know," she admits to him. "Do you mind if we talk for a moment?"
"Of course not, come in," Nicholas stands up and closes the door
behind Dawn as she comes into the office. "Have a seat." "Thanks,"
Dawn sits on the sofa. "I don't know why I came here, I guess just to talk
to you. You always seem to know the right thing to say." "I'm
guessing today is more difficult for you because of your Mom?" Nicholas asks
her as Dawn nods back to him. "You're allowed to feel that way. You loved
your Mom more than anything in the world." "It just seems like
this is all so soon since she died," Dawn tells him. "I wish my Dad
would wait a little while, you know?" "I get that," Nicholas
replies to her. "But you know what? Your Mom's passing also makes people
realize how precious life and time are. If your Dad can be happy today, he shouldn't
put that off for another day. You never know when your last day will be. Your
Mom is proof of that." Dawn nods back to him. "I know you're
right, it still just hurts." "Yes, it does," Nicholas
continues to tell her. "But for every day that you hurt, you will have another
day where it gets a little easier. Look, no one is asking you not to hurt or not
to grieve. No one is saying they don't remember Helen or that they want to forget
her. Everyone is slowly just trying to put the pieces of their lives back together,
one day at a time. Do you think you can try to do that today too?"
Dawn lets a tear fall down her cheek. "I can try," she looks back at
him. "I will try." The Tower's; Floor Eight; Victoria's
Condo Shane moves back into the living room of Victoria's condo as
his mind races about what Brandy could have done to hurt Barbara and Helen. He
knows that Barbara was found dead in her hospital bed at Raven's Meadow; his mind
is now wondering if they should have completed an autopsy on the body to find
out what really happened to her. "It could give us the answers we
need," he tells himself. "If we know what happened to Barbara, it might
tell us what happened to Helen." Again, his mind recalls that Victoria
was on duty the night of Helen and Bob's car crash. "God, with Brandy being
in control of Victoria the night of the car crash, anything could have happened
in that ER. Brandy could have easily have killed Helen and no one would have ever
questioned it because of the car accident." He sits down for a moment
and runs his hand through his hair before he pounds his fist on the coffee table.
"Dammit! Why didn't we do an autopsy on Helen?" His eyes then
look over under the TV. He sees something that he has never seen before. "What
the hell is that?" he asks as he stands up and moves to the TV stand. He
picks up Brandy's walkie talkie and investigates. He sees the on button and presses
it. Static can be heard but Shane still puts it up to his ear. "Hello?"
he says as soon as he hears faint breathing on the other side. "Hello, is
anyone there? Hello?" Next on One Day at a Time - Dawn
finds a way to cope - Paige confesses to Leah - Cheresa overhears a conversation | |
