Episode Theme song: "Promises" Calvin Harris feat. Sam Smith
Previously
on One Day at a Time - Chris and Trenyce were happy that Andrew was going
back to school. Chris told Andrew that his sister, Albertinah, worked at the university,
but they weren't that close. Andrew and Abby, meanwhile, were in Albertinah's
class and Andrew was attracted to her - Paige and Max continued to grow closer,
despite reservations from Robin, Jeff and Leah - Felicia continued to think
that Leah was hiding something - Vinny learned that Brett was designing in
LA and that Robertson Enterprises was creating a new line - Helen thanked
Adam for standing by her - Brandy re-emerged which caused concern for Victoria's
family. Eva and Donovan were thankful, however, that Helen agreed not to press
charges - Robbie and Natasha agreed to contest Bob's will. Cory was against
the idea The Sugarbowl "Do you think she was mad
at me for being late to class?" Abby asks Andrew as they sit across from
each other in the back booth of the coffeehouse with their world history books
wide open. They are reading together since Albertinah Michaels gave them 4 chapters
to read for homework. Of course being a summer class, time is more condensed so
they will move at a faster pace. Abby, meanwhile, knows that she was late to the
first class and Albertinah seemed to give her some attitude as a result.
Andrew finishes swallowing his coffee before he looks over at her. "To be
honest, yea," he tells her. "She literally just finished telling the
class that one of her rules was not to be late. And then you walked in."
"Oh my God, she hates me already," Abby whines back to him. "How
am I going to get a good grade now?" "By actually doing a good
job on the assignments? Don't worry, you've this Abs." Abby smiles
back over to him realizing why she has a crush on Andrew; he always says the right
things to make her feel better. "Thanks for your support Andrew. I don't
think I could do this without you." Andrew looks over her shoulder
at the entrance to the coffeehouse and immediately spots Max and Paige walking
in together. He feels his heart sink a little at the sight of the two of them
together; the entire reason he wanted to go to school was to get Paige out of
his mind. "What is it?" Abby notices him looking over her shoulder.
She turns her head and sees Paige and Max entering the coffeehouse. "They
seem to be together a lot lately." "You have no idea,"
Andrew replies to her. "I saw them kissing recently." "Really?
Wow," Abby can't believe that Max is getting together with Paige but she
hasn't been able to get together with Andrew yet. The whole purpose for them working
together to break up Andrew and Paige was so they could each get whom they want
to be with. "Do you mind if I go say hi to Max?" "Of course
not, I'll be here reading." Max looks at Paige as they wait in the
lineup. "We can go somewhere else if you'd rather," he tells her, noting
that they saw Abby and Max in the back corner. "Nah, I'm good Max,"
Paige purses her lips together. "Like I told you the other day, Andrew and
I are bound to run into one another every now and then. We just have to get used
to it." "Okay, good, cause this place does have the best coffee,"
he chuckles back to her. "Max, Paige, hey," Abby says as she
approaches her friends. "How are you guys?" "Good, how
was the first day of school?" Max replies to her. "School?"
Paige asks back in surprise. She had known that Andrew was going to school but
she hadn't heard that Abby was also going. "Yea, Andrew and I are
going to TPU together this summer," Abby giggles back to her. "We are
in world history together; we have so much reading to do." "That's
awesome," Max nods back to her. "Do you mind Paige, if I steal
Max for just a moment?" "Of course not, I'll grab the coffees?"
Paige looks at Max who nods back to her. Max and Abby move off to the
side. "Why didn't you tell me that you and Paige are hooking up?"
Max looks back at her dumbfounded. "Because, we're not?"
"Andrew told me he saw you two kissing" Abby replies to him quickly.
"Listen Max, I'm thrilled for you but part of the reason that we broke up
Paige and Andrew was so I could be with Andrew. You have to help me with that.
Promise me you'll help me get Andrew!" Paige, meanwhile, collects
the coffees and turns to see where Max is; he can see that he is deep in conversation
with Abby. She turns back and sees Andrew sitting at the booth alone so she approaches
him. "Hey Andrew," she walks up to him. "I know you're
studying, I just wanted to come with you luck this semester. I think it's really
cool that you're back in school." "Thanks Paige," Andrew
replies to her. "That's cool of you to say." "Well, I
mean it. Just because we didn't work out doesn't mean we can't be friends, right?"
"Yea, right." The Pampa Grill "I
am sorry that we haven't kept in touch more," Albertinah says as she picks
up her glass of red wine and looks over at her brother, Chris, and Trenyce, who
are sitting across from her. She agreed to have dinner with the two of them because
she is back in town since she is teaching a summer session at Twin Peaks University.
She and Chris haven't been close, exactly, but since he did reach out to her,
she thought it would nice to accept the invite. "Hey, we are together
now, that's all that matters," Chris smiles back to her. "Do you think
you'll stay in town after the summer school session ends?" Albertinah
looks back at him with a sly grin on her face. "So much of that will depend
on whether or not my contract at the university gets extended into the fall. I
really enjoy teaching here because it's a smaller campus; you can actually get
to know the other staff and some of the students really well. Unfortunately, it
will depend on the school. I go where the work takes me." "Well,
I for one would love it if you stuck around," Trenyce smiles back to her.
"It would be nice to have some more family around." Albertinah
takes a sip of her wine. "I agree, I think I'm ready to start setting up
some roots in my life. This school year might be the start to doing just that." ***
"I wish Paige had agreed to come out for this family dinner," Felicia
notes over to Jeff and Leah as they sit at a table in the restaurant having dinner
together. Felicia knows that she has too, somehow, make it up to Paige for her
outburst at Bob's service as her granddaughter was rather upset with her for lashing
out at the man who framed her for starting the fire at the boutique. She has no
idea how she is going to do this if Paige never spends any time with her.
"She was busy with her friends," Jeff replies to her quickly as
he takes a bite of his steak. "She's at that age where friends are more important
than family." "Maybe not more important but they take priority,"
Leah tells him, knowing that Paige does consider family important. "That's
a fair correction," Jeff smiles back to her. "But don't worry Felicia,
I think Paige will be just fine. The last time I spoke to her, she didn't even
mention that she was upset with you over Bob's service." "Maybe
that is a good sign then," Felicia takes a sip of her white wine. "The
last thing I want is for Paige to be upset with me." Suddenly, all
three of them hear a loud crash from the foyer of the restaurant. They turn and
see Meggan struggling with Logan, who is being placed in his stroller. She has
dropped his diaper bag and some belongings have fallen on to the ground.
"I'll be right back," Jeff stands up from the table and rushes over
to his former lover. "Meg, hey," he says as he starts collecting some
of the fallen baby accessories. "Let me help you with this."
"Thanks," Meggan replies to him as she finishes strapping Logan into
the stroller, he still cries a little. "He was fussy again tonight, so I'm
just going to head home." "His cheeks look flushed," Jeff
notes back to her. "He must be teething." "He is,"
Meggan replies to him. "You have a good eye." "Well, here's
the rest of your stuff. Are you sure you're going to be okay getting to the car?"
Meggan places the bottle and rattle back the diaper bag before they lock
eyes with one another. "Yea, I'm sure that I can make it. Thanks again."
"Of course," Jeff replies to her. "And Meg, just because you're
leaving here, make sure you still eat something." "I have some
take out," she points to the other bag hanging on the back of the stroller.
"Thanks for caring, Jeff. I really appreciate that, more than you know."
"I'll always care, Meggan," he tells her. "Anyways, I should
get back to my dinner. Have a good night." "You too."
Back at the table, Felicia watches was Leah looks back at the encounter with
Meggan and her husband. Leah turns around and immediately takes a swig of her
wine; the idea that Jeff was so close to his son and he had no idea is rushing
through her mind right now. "Darling, is everything okay?"
"Fine mother," Leah says sternly as she sets her wine glass down
and looks over at Felicia. "Just fine." Robertson Enterprises
"I know that it is late, so I won't keep much of your time," Vinny
announces to Dominick as he walks into his office at Robertson Enterprises and
closes the door behind him. "Not to worry Vinny, I always have time
for an old friend. Please have a seat," Dominick sits back down behind his
desk. "I'm not sure what this is about, but you said it was something to
do with business?" "Yea, that's right," Vinny gulps knowing
that he has come up with the perfect plan to get revenge on Daisy and Tyler for
their affair. Now, he just has to execute each step accordingly. And, the first
step is this meeting with Dominick, which he knows he has to tread carefully because
Dominick is Tyler's father. "I heard through the grapevine that you're designing
a new winter line." Dominick arches his eyebrow wondering how this
information has leaked out; he didn't want anyone to find out in order to prevent
any competitors jumping on the same bandwagon that he is. "How did
you hear this?" Dominick replies to him quickly. "I'd like to know your
source." "That doesn't matter," Vinny waves his hand in
the air. "I'm not here to out your plan or anything like; The opposite, in
fact." Dominick arches his eyebrow again to him. "What are
you saying?" "Take a look at these," Vinny passes him
a folder, which Dominick opens and sees some sketches of various ski-wear; everything
from jackets, snow pants, to scarves and toques. "These are very
impressive," Dominick looks back at Vinny. "Where did you get these?"
"They're mine actually," Vinny tells him. "Ever since my divorce
to Daisy, I have been channeling some of my energy into creative outlets and I
just happened to draw these." "I see," Dominick replies
to him. "They're very good, Vinny. But, I don't think it would be wise for
you to work here on this line. Not with Tyler and Daisy working here."
"I understand," Vinny says back to him. "And, that's not what
I'm suggesting. I'm suggesting that you pay me to design some of your designs
as a freelancer. I could work from wherever and you could only buy the designs
that you like." "That's an interesting concept," Dominick
admits to him. "Let me think about it and I will get back to you Vinny, but
I am very interested, I must say." The Black House; Adam, Helen
& Dawn's Home "Thanks for getting that take out, I was not
in the mood to cook," Helen tells Adam as she walks into the living room
from the kitchen as she did the cleanup from their dinner. "I was hoping
that Dawn was going to join us." "I think she had plans with
Cheresa," Adam replies to her. "Which I think is good for her. When
we all thought you had died, she was really a shut in. She barely left the house."
"I guess I was just being selfish in wanting to spend all my time with
our daughter," Helen purses her lips together. "That's understandable,"
Adam says back to her. "You didn't think you'd ever get your life back. But
now you do." "And I want to make the most of this second chance,"
Helen moves closer to him. "These few weeks since I've been free, I've realized
something Adam." Adam looks back at her with intent. "What
have you realized?" "That I still love you," Helen reveals
to him. "I've never stopped loving you. You're already living here, why not
move back into our old bedroom? Let's put our family back together?"
Adam uneasily chuckles back to her. "Helen, I'm flattered and I love
you too, but I am engaged to Robin. I still want to marry her."
"So this entire event hasn't made you realize that you're still in love with
me?" "I do love you," Adam nods back to her. "But
only because we have been through so much together, a part of me will always love
you, Helen. The way that I love you is the way you love a very good friend. But
my future is still with Robin." Helen forces a smile on her face.
"Yea, okay. I understand. I'm sorry I said anything." "No,
don't apologize. It's good to express yourself. I'm flattered, Helen. In another
life
" "I know," Helen smiles back to him. "It
is a timing thing, that's all." Twin Peaks General Hospital
Shane slowly comes out of Victoria's hospital room and notices Eva and Donovan
waiting for him to emerge. Eva and Donovan are waiting to hear from him if Brandy
is still in control of Victoria's mind. They know that Victoria is supposed to
be leaving for a state of the art medical facility that specializes in multiple
personality disorders, but they can't transfer Victoria unless she is in control
of her mind because she has to sign authority. "Shane, how is she?
Is Brandy still in control?" Eva asks the doctor as she rushes up to him,
desperate to know what is going on with her daughter. Shane looks up
and over at Donovan and then Eva. "Victoria is back in control," he
reveals to them. "She was able to break through Brandy." "Thank
God," Donovan breathes a sigh of relief. "It would have been a nightmare
if Brandy was still in control of her mind." "How do you know
it was Victoria?" Eva asks Shane. "Because, I got Vic to sign
the authority to send her to the facility in Pittsburgh," Shane tells them.
"So, she's ready to go. I just need you consent to send Victoria, Eva. This
is the last straw before Victoria will be sent away to get help."
"Where do I sign?" Eva asks him. "The sooner that Victoria leaves
the sooner she can get healthy." Roboto "You
must tell Nicholas that I thought the gala was really beautiful," Kim tells
her brother as he sits on the sofa in the office that used to belong to Bob. Thankfully,
Robbie and Natasha haven't changed much, but Kim knows that it will likely happen
soon since they are hell bent on destroying everything that he left.
Andy uneasily smiles back to her knowing that the gala is what turned his, and
Nicholas', life upside down. Still, tonight is not the time for him to get into
that with Kim as she sounded like she really needed him when she texted him. "Next
time I see him, I'll pass on the message," Andy manages to say, knowing he
has no idea when he will see Nicholas again because he told him that he didn't
want to see Andy anymore. "What's going on with you? Your message made it
seem important." "I needed someone to talk to," Kim admits
to him as she moves over and sits on the sofa next to him. "It is about Robbie
and Natasha." Andy looks back at her with intent. "What about
them? I know Natasha lashed out at you at Bob's service but I'd assume that everything
would have calmed down by now." "Far from it," Kim replies
to him quickly. "They are contesting Bob's will." "You're
kidding me?" Andy gasps back in surprise. "Can they do that?"
"They can and they are," Kim informs him. "I was served official
papers earlier today." "Why would they even want to do this?
The will was Bob's final say as to what he wanted to happen with his assets."
"I know, I know," Kim says, trying to stay calm about the situation.
"The fact is, they are pissed off that Bob left me money, the house and a
job here at Roboto." "I'm so sorry Kim," Andy pulls her
into a hug. "What are you going to do?" "The only thing
I can do," Kim tells him as they exit their embrace. "Fight them with
everything fiber of my being." The Calimo Mansion
"The trial is coming up quickly, do you think we'll be ready?" Robbie
asks his sister as he pours two glasses of wine at the bar in the living room
of the Calimo mansion. Robbie realizes that the trial to contest Bob's will is
quickly coming and he wants to ensure that he and Natasha have all their ducks
in a row before the day arrives. "I think we will be more than ready,"
Natasha accepts the glass of wine from him and quickly takes a sip of it. "If
you think about everything Kim did while Dad was alive, this case will be open
and closed so quickly. We just have to tell the judge everything she did and we
will win." "You know," Robbie sits next to her. "She
is going to smear us too? The same way we are going to drag her through the mud."
"The difference," Natasha replies to him quickly. "Is that
we never did anything to Dad. We have always loved and supported him. Kim is the
total opposite." "It's not too late to change your minds,"
a voice calls out at the entry way of the living room. Natasha and Robbie look
over and see Cory standing there with his hands in his pockets. "It's not
too late to respect your father's last wishes and let Kim have this damn house.
It is just that, after all, a house." "Cory," Natasha
stands up and moves closer to her husband. "I was hoping that you'd have
some time to think about this and realize that Robbie and I are doing is right.
We have to honor our father and this is the best way to do that."
"Only, you're doing anything but honoring him Nat," Cory replies to
her. "You're clearly going against his wishes and you're hurting this entire
family in the process." "We aren't trying to hurt anyone Cory,"
Robbie tells him. "We just want what is rightfully ours." "If
it was rightfully yours, Bob would have said so in his will," Cory sternly
tells them. "Look, I can see that I won't change your mind. But don't say
that I didn't warn you." "Warn us about what?" Natasha
asks her husband. "How it will feel to lose twice," Cory tells
her back. "Because Nat, you won't win this case. I'm sure of it."
