The Park

"It is such a beautiful day today," Paige smiles to Max as they walk hand in hand through the park. Paige was happy to have received a text from her friend this morning asking her to go for a walk; she has really been enjoying spending a lot of time with Max since she caught Andrew kissing Abby. He has been such a breath of fresh air for her, since she was left pretty devastated by Andrew's betrayal.

"I'm glad you didn't have anything to do this morning," Max looks lovingly at her. "I really wanted to see you today."

Paige stops and looks up into his dark eyes. "Something isn't wrong, is it?"

"No, the opposite," Max smiles back to her as he hasn't been this happy in a very long time. "I haven't been able to get you out of my head, Paige."

"I think about you often as well, Max."

"Then why don't we make this official?" Max replies to her quickly. "I want you to be my girlfriend."

Paige looks back at him in surprise as she thought that they were just spending time as friends as they got to know each other better. "I don't know what to say," she admits to him. "I thought we were going to slowly?"

"Say you'll be my girl," Max winks back to her. He leans in and kisses her on the lips softly. "We could do that a lot more often if you say yes."

Paige giggles back to him as she looks back into his eyes. "Okay, yes," she tells him. "I'll be your girlfriend."

"Yes!" Max lifts her up and twirls in the air as she laughs back to him. "You've made me so happy," he tells her as he lowers her to the ground and his lips find hers again.

The Courthouse

Kim paces back and forth outside of the Judge's private office as Josh sits and reviews his notes. They are at the at the courthouse today as it is the start of the trial of Robbie and Natasha contesting Bob's will; Kim just hopes and prays that she is able to keep everything that her husband left her. No other outcome is going to be acceptable.

"You're going to wear a hole in the floor," Josh looks up from his notes as Kim continues to walk back and forth.

"Sorry," she replies to him quickly, from her large hat that she is wearing. "I am just nervous. This has to go well Josh. I can't lose everything, I just can't."

"Don't worry," Josh stands up and looks Kim in the eyes. "We got this. It won't be easy, but we got this. Once the judge finishes reviewing our opening draft statements, we'll get to go in. This isn't a normal trial, so it should move pretty quickly."

"I hope you're right," Kim sighs back to him. "I don't want this to be some drawn out ordeal."

Before he can reply, Kim turns around and sees Robbie, Natasha and Lois Kam approaching them. Kim can see the hatred coming from Bob's children as they glare at her. She gulps heavily.

"The judge is ready for us," Josh whispers to Kim. "Ignore them, okay? We will get through this."

MW Investigations

Meggan slowly picks up the file in front of her and traces her finger over the names on the label, Chris Michaels & Trenyce Davenport, and she sighs heavily as she does so. She can't believe, still, that she and Brad found Chris and Trenyce's biological child but she can't tell them who it is because Brad is blackmailing her into silence because of how Brooke obtained Cheresa. Meggan hates that she has to lie to Chris and Trenyce about finding their daughter when she is living right here in Twin Peaks, especially since she has been on the case for so many years.

She picks up her phone and quickly dials a number. "Chris, it's Meggan," she says into his voicemail. "I know I haven't gotten back to you for a while, and I'm really sorry about that. There was a lot of, uh, red tape to get details in the adoption agencies within and around Twin Peaks. Needless to say, I haven't uncovered anything new yet. I'm not sure where you and Trenyce want to go from here, but give me a call."

She hangs up the phone and runs her hand through her hair. "You did good," a voice calls out causing her to look up and she sees Brad standing at the doorway. "I knew you could keep your word with all of this."

"What the hell are you doing here? I thought you got a job at Robertson Enterprises?"

"I did," Brad moves closer to her desk. "But, I had some things left in my desk here. I know I won't be working here anymore."

"Good guess," she snaps at him.

"Look, Meg, we can still be civil can't we? We did share something special after all."

Meggan laughs back to him. "So special that you're blackmailing me," she rolls her eyes. "I have nothing left to say to you."

"Fine," Brad crosses his arms over his chest. "As long as you keep quiet, then we won't have any problems."

Before Meggan can reply, there's a knock on her office door. She looks over Brad's shoulder and sees Cheresa standing there. "I hope I'm not interrupting but I had to see you," Cheresa says as she moves closer to the desk. "Hi Brad."

"Hey," he gives his sister a quick hug. "What brings you by?"

"I need your help with something Meggan," Cheresa admits to her as Meggan looks back at her in surprise. "I want to hire you to help me locate my biological parents. Do you think you could help me with that?"

Meggan gulps hard as she looks at Brad and then back at Cheresa unsure of what she is going to say or do next.

The Pampa Grill

"Did you hear from your Mom this morning?" Shane asks Jacob as they sit across from one another at a table in the restaurant. Shane knows that it is a big day for Natasha as she is contesting Bob's will; he doesn't really want to get in the middle of it, but he knows that Jacob will be impacted by the outcome, regardless of what that may be.

"I sent her a text and she replied but that was all," Jacob takes a sip of his coffee. "I'm worried what will happen if she doesn't win this battle with Kim."

"You and me both," Shane admits to him. "She will need your support if the judge rules in Kim's favor."

"I will support her," Jacob nods back to him. "I just wish you guys would support me."

Shane sighs back to him a little knowing that Jacob is referring to the fact that both he and Natasha have expressed concern with his engagement to Cassie Nova; this is because they know exactly what Cassie is capable of and they don't want him to get hurt by the woman who has caused so much pain.

"Jacob.."

"No, Dad, you have to start listening to me," Jacob replies to him quickly. "I know what I am doing with Cassie, okay? Please just trust me."

"I wish you could understand why your mother and I have our concerns," Shane tells him. "I know that it was a long time ago, but what Cassie has put us through is no laughing matter."

"I'm not laughing either," Jacob tells him. "I'm pleading with you Dad, let me live my life. Don't worry about me, okay?"

At another table, Abby sits with her text books spread out and she is typing furiously into her laptop as she is working on a paper that is due for her world history class that she is taking at the university. She had asked Andrew to work on their papers together, but he opted to pass, which is infuriating to her as she wants nothing more than to grow closer to him, the way Max has grown closer to Paige. When she thinks back to her and Max's plan to break up Andrew and Paige, she had hoped that Andrew would come running to her and they would start dating. The opposite has happened, however.

"Hey, I got your text," Max says as he comes up to her table. "It sounded important. What's up? I was with Paige when I got your message."

Abby looks up at him and sighs heavily. "Of course you were with Paige," she rolls her eyes back to him. "You're always with Paige."

Max sits across from her. "Yea, she agreed to be my girlfriend. We are dating."

"La de da," Abby snaps at him. "This isn't fair Max! You get to have Paige, but Andrew, he's still ignoring me!"

"So, you're mad at me cause Paige is into me and Andrew isn't into you? What do you want me to do about that?"

"I don't know! But this doesn't seem fair! We worked together to break those two up," Abby whines to him. "I want to have Andrew! Or at least a shot with him!"

"Then keep working at him," Max replies to her quickly. "He will cave eventually Abby, you just have to keep trying."

Twin Peaks University

Andrew slowly opens the door to the class room where he sees Albertinah sitting behind a large wooden desk. The classroom is empty right now, but she seems to be very busy with some papers in front of her. Andrew looks at her for a moment and, still, can't help but be attracted to her. He knows that he shouldn't be, since she is his teacher, and she is Chris' sister, but he is.

"Ms. Michaels," he calls out as he moves closer to the desk. "I was hoping to have a moment of your time."

Albertinah looks over from marking some papers and sees Andrew coming up to her. "Andrew, right?" she asks him as he nods back to her.

"Good memory," he winks back to her. "I have no idea how you remember all your students names."

She chuckles back to him. "You train your brain to remember," she tells him. "Especially when you've been doing this as long as I have been. Anyways, what brings you by?"

"The essay you want us to write," he looks into her eyes. "I'm not sure if I'm on the right track or not, I was hoping I could send you what I have written so far and you could give me some pointers."

"I normally don't do that," she purses her lips together. "But, if you email me your draft, I'd be happy to look over it for you."

Andrew smiles back to her as they continue to look at one another. "I'll send it today, thanks a lot."

The Claus House; Jeff, Leah & Paige's Home

"Mom, Dad, are you guys here?" Paige calls out as she closes the front door of her home. She was with Max when they agreed to start dating when he got a text from Abby and she got a text from Leah asking her to come home. She has no idea what her parents could want but she hopes that everything is okay. She moves into the living room and sees her parents standing in the living room in a huddled conversation. "Hey, what's up?"

"You left the house before we could talk to you this morning," Leah looks over Jeff's shoulder and at her daughter. "We have to talk to you about something and it is very important."

Paige arches her eyebrow back to them. "What is this about? I haven't done anything wrong, have I?"

"No, nothing like that," Jeff replies to her. "Come sit on the sofa with me, okay?"

"You're scaring me, what is going on?" Paige moves a piece of her hair behind her ear. "Please tell me."

"This is about your relationship with Max Black," Leah informs her. "We'd like you to not see him anymore."

Paige shakes her head back to them in surprise. "What? Why? Where is this coming from?"

Leah and Jeff look at one another as they know that Robin told them about Max's role in Adam's "accident" at the Robertson Enterprises boutique a few years ago. They realize that they have to keep him away from their daughter now; if Max could hurt his father that way, what else could he do to people he claims to care about?

"We need you to trust us with this Paige," Leah tells her daughter. "Max is not a good influence on you."

"No," Paige stands up from the sofa. "Max is the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. I'm not going to stop seeing him. In fact, today we agreed to date one another. We are in a relationship."

"That's not going to happen," Jeff replies to her. "You will end that relationship and you will do that today. This is not up for debate, Paige."

"You guys can't tell me what to do! I'm not a little girl anymore!" Paige yells back to her parents. "If I want to see Max, that's my decision, not yours!"

"Paige," Leah tries to calm her down.

"No, save it Mom! You're not going to change my mind."

"Watch your tone with your mother, young lady," Jeff tells her sternly. "As long as you live under this roof…"

"Then maybe I shouldn't live under this roof," Paige cuts him off and glares back to him. "If you're going to dictate to me, then I'm going to move out!"

Before Leah and Jeff can reply, Paige storms out of the room. Leah looks at her husband with concern. "What are we going to do?"

Jeff shrugs his shoulders. "I have no idea, but we have to do something Leah. We can't let this continue, we just can't."

The Courthouse

Judge Franklin Ross sits behind his desk as Robbie, Natasha and Lois are seated on the left side of his office and Kim and Josh are seated on the right side of the office. He finishes reviewing the document in front of him which is explaining why they are in court. He sets it down and looks at the lawyers.

"We are here to contest the will of Robert Calimo Sr.," he tells everyone. "I haven't had to contest a will in a very long time. I hope that you all understand that this is not very common. Usually the will is the deceased final thoughts and wishes. I've also read the opening draft statements as I'd like to move this along."

"We understand that your honor," Lois replies to him. "After testimony, you will understand why this case has been brought to your attention. The children of the deceased believe that their stepmother was a bad influence on their father."

"Understood," Judge Ross nods back to him. "Mr. Levitt, what is your first motion? We will start from there and proceed."

"Your honor," Josh stands up from his chair. "I'd like to question Mrs. Calimo, Bob's widow."

"I need to remind you, Mrs. Calimo, that you are under oath. Everything you say must be the truth, is that understood?" Judge Ross asks Kim, as she nods back to him.

"Of course your honor, I have nothing to hide," Kim replies to him.

"Very well," Judge Ross says. "She's your witness Mr. Levitt."

Josh stands up and moves around his desk to look at Kim. "Kim, you were married to the Bob Calimo, is that correct?"

"Yes, it is correct. Bob and I, we loved each other very much. I still can't believe that he is gone," Kim slowly tells him as she tries to fight the tears in her eyes.

"So, this entire situation of Bob's children contesting his will, how do you feel about that?"

"It hurts," Kim's lower lip quivers. "They know how much Bob and I went through together. For them to try to override his last wishes…it's the worst possible way that they could honor their father. They should be ashamed of themselves."

Robbie and Natasha look at one another and roll their eyes knowing that Kim is making them sound awful to the judge. "Let's start with your stepdaughter, Natasha. She is your former best friend, correct?" Josh then proceeds to ask Kim.

Kim slowly nods back to him. "That's correct," Kim replies to him. "We were very close for many years. That is, until she discovered that I was seeing her father. From that moment, she has hated me."

"Natasha, herself, has a sorted past, isn't that correct?"

"It's true," Kim tells him and looks at the judge. "You see, she found out that the woman she thought was her mother actually wasn't," Kim continues to explain to everyone. "That sent her on a downward spiral that saw her using cocaine daily. She eventually had to go to jail as a result."

"It was one night!" Natasha yells back at Kim.

"Ms. Kam, control your client or I will throw her, and her case out," Judge Ross tells Lois, who puts her hand on Natasha's shoulder trying to calm her down.

"What else has Natasha done that makes you question her character?" Josh continues his questioning of Kim.

"Where do I begin?" Kim asks him back. "She was married to Cory Calvin but had an affair with Shane Glubbs. When she was married to Shane, she had an affair with Adam Black. Then, she got pregnant and almost had an abortion…the list goes on and on."

"I think I've heard enough about Natasha Calimo's character," Judge Ross announces to everyone. "I'm going to take a recess and we will reconvene shortly."

As soon as the Judge leaves his office, Natasha stands up and fixes her skirt before she walks over to Kim. "You think you're so clever, don't you?"

"I just told the truth," Kim replies to her. "Just remember, you made me do this. You and your obsession about taking what Bob left for me away."

"You won't get away with this," Natasha sneers at her. "Mark my words, you will not get away with this. "
