The Lawson Mansion; Brooke, Greg, Abby & Cheresa's Home

Greg studies his cell phone and the text from Kim. He has read it about a 100 times already; she reached out to him that the kiss they shared after her day in court the other day was a mistake. He knows that over the last few months he and Kim have shared their share of kisses, but he was always the one who initiated it. The other day, it was Kim who kissed him; he just went along for the ride. So, he can't say that he is surprised to get this message from her; he had just hoped that it meant she was ready to move on with him. He realizes, though, that with Bob passing being so fresh, she is still grieving. Now, more than ever, he realizes that he does have to make his relationship with Brooke work. Kim will never be ready to move on with him and he and Brooke have been through so much together.

He looks up from his phone when Brooke walks into the living room. "Morning," he looks over to his wife as he puts the phone down. "How'd you sleep?"

"Surprisingly well," Brooke purses her lips together, knowing that the night before she and Robbie made love again. She has tried her best to stay away from him but they always end up back in other's orbits. "How about you?"

Greg shrugs his shoulders. "Not the best, to be honest," he replies to her. "My mind was on Kim Calimo."

Brooke arches her eyebrow. "Why was your mind on Kim?"

"Because, she had the court date; Natasha and Robbie are contesting Bob's will," Greg reveals to her, not realizing that Brooke already knew this information.

"Oh," Brooke gulps. "She must be devastated by that."

"She is," Greg nods back to her. "I'm trying to be her friend but she isn't exactly letting me in right now."

"Sometimes giving someone space is the best way you can help them," Brooke replies to him. "Hopefully it all works out and that family can start to heal. They have been through so much."

"They certainly have," Greg moves up to his wife. "It just makes me realize how lucky we are Brooke. I know we had that rough patch but we are stronger than ever, aren't we? We are really making this work."

"Yea, we are," Brooke uneasily replies to him.

"I think we should solidify this," Greg looks into her eyes. "I miss my wife. I want you, Brooke."

Greg leans in and kisses Brooke passionately on the lips. When their lips part, he smiles back to her. "The children are out of the house," he winks to her. "Let's go upstairs?"

"I'd love that," Brooke replies to him as she licks her lips together. "You head up, I'll be right there."

"Don't keep me waiting too long," he chuckles as he leaves the room.

Brooke turns her head to ensure Greg is out of the room before she walks over to her purse and grabs her phone. "Last night was a mistake. I have to focus on my marriage; we can't see each other anymore. Good luck in court," reads the text message that she sends to Robbie.

Once the message is sent, she puts her phone back into her purse and rushes off to meet her husband in their bedroom.

Twin Peaks Courthouse

"Cory wasn't at home when I left for the courthouse this morning," Natasha tells Robbie as they stand together outside Judge Franklin Ross' office. They are at the court house this morning as they received word from Lois Kam that Judge Ross had made his decision within regards to the contesting of Bob's will. Natasha just hopes that things go their way.

Robbie looks at his phone screen and sees the text from Brooke telling him that it's over. He sighs a little and puts his phone away, knowing that she has been torn between doing the right thing with her family and being with him. In any event, he knows that he can't worry about that right now; he has to focus on the Judge's ruling.

"I'm sure he will show up," Robbie tells his sister. "He knows how important today is for you."

"I'm not so sure about that," Natasha replies to him. "He is pretty upset with me for even contesting Bob's will."

"You're not having second thoughts are you?"

"No," Natasha quickly tells him. "Kim doesn't deserve anything from our father. And, after yesterday, I am pretty confident that we will win."

"I agree with you," Robbie nods back to her. "She did a good job of smearing our names but we did a better job with her. There is no way that the Judge can award her the house now."

"I hope you're right," she smiles back to him.

They look over when Kim appears with Josh standing next to her. Kim looks over at them and gives them an uneasy smile to them. She is worried sick that she is about to lose everything; she knows that the Calimo's are very wealthy and very influential people. Now that Bob has passed away, Robbie and Natasha are the leaders of the family.

"She looks smug," Robbie tells Natasha, already annoyed at the sight of their stepmother.

"Maybe a little too smug," Natasha rolls her eyes. "I can't wait to wipe that smug look off her face when the Judge announces that we are the winners of this case."

The Park

"Nicholas, how are you doing since the gala? I know that it couldn't have been easy for you," Donovan tells his friend as they walk through the park together. Donovan was pleased to get a text from Nicholas asking him to meet him as he hadn't seen him since all the drama went down at St. Joseph's the night of the gala. He has been so focused on proposing to Lukas, which ended horribly, that he hasn't had time to reach out to Nicholas yet.

"I'm trying my best to hang in there," Nicholas replies to him, keeping a brave front on. "Today isn't about that. In fact, today isn't about me at all."

"What are you talking about?" Donovan chuckles back to him.

"I hope you're not mad at me when I tell you this," Nicholas stops him on the park path and looks at him. "But, Lukas asked me to bring you to the park today."

Donovan arches his eyebrow back to his friend as he thinks about how he proposed to Lukas; Lukas said no and rushed out, leaving Donovan heartbroken. "Why would Lukas ask you to bring me to the park?"

"Come with me," Nicholas grabs his hand and takes him around some tree shrubs. On the ground, there is a hot air balloon and Lukas is standing in the small cabin. He sees Nicholas and Donovan and smiles to them.

"You made it!" Lukas hopes out of the balloon and rushes over to them. "Donovan, hi."

"Hey," he replies uneasily. The last time he saw his boyfriend, Lukas rejected Donovan's proposal. Donovan has no idea how to behave with him now. "What's all this?"

"I'm going to take off, have fun you too," Nicholas smiles as he rushes off.

"Thanks again Nick," Lukas tells him as he leaves before he looks back at Donovan. "I realize I was a jerk yesterday. Come for a ride with me? Let me explain?"

Donovan uneasily nods back to him before he looks at the hot air balloon. "Uh, sure?"

Robertson Enterprises

Craig slowly walks up to Dominick's office door and prepares to knock on it. He had received a call from Dominick asking him to meet him at his office, but didn't exactly leave a lot of details in the message. Craig doesn't usually make house calls, but considering how powerful Dominick is, he thought he would make an exception.

"Come in," he can hear Dominick's voice call out after he knocks on the door. Craig opens the door and moves inside the office. "Dr. Benton, thank you so much for coming by."

"It sounded important; I just hope that you're okay?"

"Oh yes, I'm fine," Dominick replies to him quickly. "I didn't mean to worry you."

"Its fine, I'm just curious as to why I am here," Craig replies to him.

"What I am about to tell you has to stay between us," Dominick tells him.

"Of course."

"Robertson Enterprises is in the midst of launching a new line, a winter/ski line to be exact," Dominick explains to him. "We are going to have the official launch this November at Caldwell's Ski Resort."

"That sounds very exciting," Craig says back to him.

"It is," Dominick agrees with him. "That's where you come in; see, as we are travelling for this event, I'd like to have a medical persona on staff in case any thing arises. I don't want to be caught in some kind of medical crisis without having a doctor nearby."

"Are you offering me a job?"

"I am," Dominick tells him. "It would be a contract, just for this event. What do you say?"

"I say, I'm very interested," Craig smiles back to him, thrilled by the opportunity as they don't happen every day.

The Black House; Helen & Dawn's Home

In the washroom, Dawn looks at herself in the mirror and wonders if she is still looking as tired as she did when she thought Helen had died. She knows that the previous day was still a difficult day as she took Helen to Barbara's tombstone for the first time; she knows how upset she was when she thought Helen was dead, so the fact that Helen is facing that with her mother was a very hard thing to witness.

Dawn finds herself opening the medicine cabinet and removing the anti-depressant pill bottle inside. She opens the bottle and puts two pills in her hand. She puts them in her mouth and then drinks some water to help wash the pills down.

She sets the glass down on the counter and leaves the washroom. She walks down the stairs and moves into the living room, where she sees Adam standing there. "Dad, hi, sorry to keep you waiting."

"It's okay," Adam looks over at his daughter. "You still want to have breakfast together?"

"Yea, that'd be nice," Dawn tells him. "Is Mom here? She could join us?"

"No, she's not," Adam says back to her. "She went into the high school to see how she felt about going back to work in September."

"That's good," Dawn replies to him. "We went to Grandma's grave yesterday; it was hard on her. She really needs you right now Dad."

Adam uneasily nods back to her recalling how Helen told him that she was still in love with him. Of course, Adam is still engaged to Robin, so he told her that they could just be friends.

"Promise me Dad that you won't leave us again," Dawn tells him. "Promise me that you'll always be there for Mom."

"Of course I can promise you that," Adam pulls her into a hug. "Of course."

MW Investigations

"Thanks for seeing me again so soon after I first came to see you," Cheresa sits across from Meggan in her office at the private investigator's firm. Cheresa recalls how she came in to see Meggan the other day to enquire if she could help find her biological parents; Brad was here and mentioned his apprehension but Meggan still agreed to do the search.

"Of course," Meggan smiles back over to her. "I have to tell you though, Cheresa, this will be a difficult search if your adoption was closed. There will likely be little to no paper trail to work with."

"Yea, you had mentioned that the other day," Cheresa replies to her. "I still want to search as much as we can."

"I figured as much," Meggan tells her. "Just, try not to get your hopes up, okay?"

"Sure," Cheresa says back to her.

Meggan looks at her for a moment and realizes that this will be a tall task for her as she knows that Chris and Trenyce are her biological parents; Brad, however, is blackmailing her into silence. Now, she will have to lie to Cheresa about the entire search.

"So, where do you think we can begin?" Cheresa asks her.

"I have a questionnaire that I'd like you to fill out," Meggan passes her a form. "No rush, fill out as much details as you can and then bring it back to me. I'll review and create an action plan."

"Okay, great, this is awesome," Cheresa smiles back to her. "I'll get right on this!"

The Hot Air Balloon

As the balloon slowly sails over Twin Peaks, Lukas looks over at Donovan, who is admiring the views of the city from so high up in the air.

"I can't believe you did this," Donovan tells Lukas as he turns to face him. "After last night, I wasn't sure what our future held and now I'm in a hot air balloon with you!"

"I knew I had to make it up to you," Lukas moves closer to him and grabs Donovan's hands. "I shouldn't have rushed out after you proposed like that."

"Why did you?"

"I guess you threw me for a loop that I wasn't expecting," Lukas admits to him. "But Donovan, I do love you."

"You really hurt me," Donovan admits to him. "I poured my heart and soul out to you and you just ran away."

"I'm sorry," Lukas says back to him. "I want to make it up to you. I want you to know that I love you more than anything else in the world, Donovan. And like you, I don't want to live without you."

"What are you saying?"

"Marry me," Lukas winks back to him. "Be my husband."

"Are you serious?" Donovan laughs back to him as they hug.

"Is that a yes?"

"Yes, I'll marry you!" Donovan replies before they share a tender kiss. "What now?"

Lukas chuckles back to him. "Let's enjoy the rest of this ride?"

Twin Peaks Courthouse

Judge Franklin Ross sits behind his desk and looks out at Kim, Josh and on the other side of the office, Natasha, Robbie and Lois sit waiting for his decision on contesting Bob's will.

"I have to admit, this was a very difficult case to come to terms with," he finally tells everyone. "Families should come together when a member passes away, the opposite happened in this case."

"Your honor," Kim stands up interrupting him.

"Kim what are you doing?" Josh whispers to her, as she puts her hand up to silence him.

"I have some more information that I think is very important in this case," Kim continues to tell the Judge.

"Make it fast Mrs. Calimo," the Judge tells her. "I already have my decision made."

"I will make it very fast," Kim replies to him. "You see, I've uncovered more information that will prove that the Calimo children are currently not acting responsibly. I know I mentioned their past deeds, but this is current and on-going."

"What is it?"

"Robbie Calimo," Kim continues as Robbie turns to look at her. "Is having an affair with Brooke Lawson; the same Brooke Lawson that is married to Greg Lawson. Robbie is sleeping with a married woman!" Kim announces as the small crowd in the office starts to mumble in shock and awe, as the Judge makes eye contact with Robbie, who feels his face flush with embarrassment and horror.
