The Pier

"I can't believe that Jacob was using your Mom," Paige tells Max as they slowly walk down the pier. She was just filled in on the latest drama with Jacob and Cassie from her boyfriend, who hopes that his mother is okay. He was going to see if she was okay but she insisted that she be alone for a while. After everything that happened at the church, Cassie said she needed time alone, which Max can understand. He can't imagine what his mother is going through right now, being embarrassed that way.

"The entire thing is really screwed up," Max agrees with her. "I told Jacob not to hurt my Mom and now he has."

"I hope you're not going to do anything to make matters worse," Paige stops and looks at him, knowing that Max can have a short temper at times. The last thing she wants is for Max to do something to Jacob that will escalate the situation.

"I'll try," he smiles back to her. "Thanks for being here with me. It's been a long day, hey?"

"It seems that way," she leans up and kisses him. "But I'm happy to be her with you babe."

"I like that you just called me babe," he winks back to her. "I'm falling for you, Paige."

"Good, cause I'm falling for you too."

He is about to kiss her again when something catches the corner of his eye. He turns and looks at the bench up against the older fishing hut. "Is that Dawn?" he asks Paige, as he can see a woman fast asleep on the bench.

"It looks like it," Paige replies to him as they move over to the bench. "Dawn, are you okay? Dawn?"

They reach their sleeping friend and realize that she is passed out cold. "What on earth is going on?" Paige looks at Max in confusion. She turns around to see if she can see anyone else around. She happens to see a purse on the pier just a few steps away from Dawn. "What is that?"

They rush over to the bag and pick it up. "This is Cheresa's," Paige tells Max. "I've seen her have it before. Where is Cheresa? And why is Dawn passed out? What the hell is going on?"

"I wish I knew," Max says as he looks into the river. "Oh my God! Look, that's a body!"

Paige shrieks a little as they see a floating body in the river. Max pulls his shirt off and moves to the edge of the pier. "Max, what are you doing?" Paige asks her boyfriend, but he doesn't answer as he dives into the water and starts swimming towards the floating body. "Max! My God, be careful! Max!"

Roboto

"How did you know that Brooke was sleeping with Robbie?" Greg asks Kim again as they stand in the main office at Roboto. Greg ended up at Kim's office for support as he just learned about Brooke's affair with Robbie. He is beyond devastated and while Kim was comforting him she let it slip that Brooke had been sleeping with Robbie, only Greg hadn't told her who Brooke was sleeping with.

"Greg, I can explain," Kim puts a piece of hair behind her ear. "You see, I was the one who announced the affair in court. Their affair is what helped me win the case against Robbie and Natasha."

"I don't understand any of this!" Greg yells back to her. "You knew my wife was sleeping with Robbie and you didn't tell me?"

"I only just found out the day before the Judge made his ruling," Kim explains to him. "Cory Calvin told me because he didn't think what Robbie and Natasha should have been contesting Bob's will. It helped me win my case, I won't apologize for that."

"We are supposed to be friends," Greg looks back at her with tears in his eyes. "I thought of all people, I could trust you. Instead, you're no better than Brooke! You've been lying to me!"

"No Greg, I swear," Kim moves up to him, but he pushes her away.

"You stay the hell away from me," he grits his teeth together. "I have nothing more to say to you."

Kim tries to protest but Greg storms out of the office. Kim shakes her head wondering if she can salvage her friendship with Greg, or what can stop his downward spiral.

The Pampa Grill

"So, I've been thinking about something," Donovan smiles over to Lukas, who is on his phone looking at his calendar for wedding dates. They each have a glass of white wine in front of them as they make some plans for their big day.

Lukas puts his phone down and takes a sip of his wine. "And what is that?"

"Well, so many of our friends and family will be at this Robertson launch for our winter/ski line," Donovan replies to his fiancé. "That I was thinking, what if we got married at the launch? We will be at Caldwell's Ski resort, which is beautiful … it just seems like it would be a great tie in."

Lukas looks at his phone again for a moment and sees a text message from Craig come through. He shuts his eyes for a moment and recalls how the night that Donovan proposed to him, he and Craig almost kissed. He has no idea why he is thinking about this again but he is. He opens his eyes and sees Donovan looking back at him.

"Did you hear a single word I just said?" Donovan smiles over to him. "Where did you go just now?"

"I heard you," Lukas uneasily chuckles back to him. "I was thinking about how great of an idea that is; as long as Dominick okay's it."

"After all the hard work I've put into this line, he will have no other choice," Donovan winks back to him. "Cheers, to finding out location and date!"

"Cheers," Lukas picks up his glass and toasts his fiancé as he hopes that he can forget almost kissing Craig.

The Calimo Mansion

"I still can't believe that this entire time you were using Cassie to get back at her for all of the horrible things that she has put this family through," Shane tells Jacob and Natasha as they stand in the living room of the Calimo mansion, each holding a glass of champagne as they are celebrating the fact that Jacob dumped Cassie at the altar when they were about to get married. Shane and Natasha had rushed to the church in hopes of supporting Jacob's decision to marry their rival but when they arrived Jacob announced that he couldn't marry Cassie because he was using her to get back at her for all the horrible things that she had done to his family over the years. Shane and Natasha were surprised, but they are pleased that he came up with this all on his own and mostly that Jacob is not marrying Cassie Nova.

"You certainly had us fooled," Natasha echoes Shane's comments to their son before she takes a sip of her champagne. "I am just glad that you decided not to marry that woman."

"I had to fool everyone or my plan wouldn't have worked," Jacob replies to them. "No one could know what I was up to or my cover could have been blown."

"I can't believe what I just overheard," Cory announces as he walks into the living room, having overheard the entire sorted details about Jacob using Cassie. "How could you do this, Jacob?"

"Cory?" Natasha gasps back at him. "What happened to your face?"

Cory realizes that he has a black eye from getting punched in the face from Robbie earlier at the church as he realized that it was Cory who told Kim the truth about Robbie's affair with Brooke. Cory doesn't want to discuss the details with Natasha right now as he has more important things to focus on.

"That doesn't matter," Cory waves his hand in the air. "Did I just hear correctly? You were using Cassie to get revenge?"

"Yea," a proud Jacob nods back to him. "I couldn't let her get away with everything she's put our family through."

"I don't believe this," Cory shakes his head back to them. "And, you two," he points to Shane and Natasha. "Are, what, celebrating? This is horrible!"

"After everything that woman has done to us, I'm just glad that Jacob isn't marrying her," Natasha defends her and her son's actions to her husband. "Surely you can see the silver lining in that!"

"What can I see is that you're recent behavior towards Kim and Jacob is rubbing off on your son," Cory snaps back at Natasha. "I hope you're happy because you two are cut from the same cloth."

"Where are you going?" Natasha puts her hand on her hip as Cory turns to leave the room. "Cory? Please, you have to understand."

Cory pauses at the entry way and looks back at his wife. "The only thing I understand right now, Nat, is that I don't recognize the woman you've become. And to be honest, I don't like the woman you've become either."

Twin Peaks Executive Hotel

Cassie slams the door to her hotel room and rushes inside, her eyes damp from crying all the way back to the hotel. She can't believe that Jacob was using her to get some kind of revenge on her for Shane and Natasha. She never thought that he would do this to her; they were supposed to be in love, they were going to get married and spend the rest of their lives together. How could he do this?

She moves over to the bar and pours herself a whiskey and quickly drinks the entire glass in one gulp. She looks down and realizes that she's still in her wedding dress which makes her heart break all over again. They were supposed to be in this very hotel room right now celebrating their wedding night; they should be making love right now, instead she's here about to start crying again.

"No," she whispers to herself as she turns back to the bar and picks up the glass she just drank from. "I'm not going to cry anymore."

She turns back around and throws the glass at the wall causing it to shatter. She flips the bar car over causing more glass to break. She rushes over to the desk and rips the lamp plug from the wall and throws it across the room.

"Damn you Jacob!" she screams in the process before she falls to the ground, which is covered in shattered glass. "Damn you straight to hell," she says as she starts to sob in her wedding dress, laying on the floor.

The Lawson Estate

Brooke slowly opens the front door to her home and moves inside. She looks around the foyer and doesn't see a sign of anyone being at home, which is nice because the last thing she needs is to have another run-in with one of her children. She can't believe that Greg told Abby, Brad and Cheresa about her affair; she had hoped to try to smooth things over before he laid the bombshell. Instead, he told them and now, all of her children are furious with her. She has no idea how she is going to make any of this okay but she knows that she has to try; she refuses to accept the fact that her family could be ruined by this.

She moves into the living room and walks up to the bar and pours herself a glass of red wine. She takes a healthy sip of it and then lets out a sigh as she lets the alcohol numb her a little bit. She freezes when she hears someone walking down the stairs in the foyer. She didn't think anyone was home, but someone obviously is. She moves back to the foyer and sees Greg walking down the stairs with a duffle bag in his hand.

"Greg, I'm glad you're home," Brooke purses her lips together. "We have to talk."

"I have nothing to say to you," Greg coldly replies to her as he reaches the foyer. "I need you to stay the hell away from me."

"What's with the bag? Where are you going?"

"I'm going to stay at the Twin Peaks Executive Hotel," he informs her. "I can't stay in this house with you; Not after what you've done."

"Please, Greg," Brooke pleads with her husband. "I'm begging you, please just hear me out. Let me explain and try to make this up to you."

"No!" Greg yells back to her. "You can't talk your way out of this one, not this time Brooke. Anything we had, its over. For good this time."

Brooke watches as Greg walks out of the front door and slams it behind him. She bites her lower lip trying not to cry, so she takes another sip of her wine instead, hoping that the alcohol continues to numb her.

The Black House; Helen & Dawn's Home

"I hope I did the right thing by coming here today," Shelley tells Helen as they sit next to one another in the living room of Helen's home. Shelley recalls how recently Dawn came to see her but within a few minutes of arriving, she passed out on Shelley's sofa. Shelley has been worried about her friend ever since and came to see Adam and Helen to see if they knew anything that could have been triggering these tired spells for Dawn. Shelley knows that Dawn might be upset with her for coming to her parents with this concern, but Shelley felt like she had no other choice in the matter; she has to ensure Dawn is doing okay.

"We all care about Dawn," Robin tells Shelley, who is sitting in the arm chair across from the sofa. "You did the right thing by expressing your concern."

"Robin is right," Helen nods back to Shelley. "Dawn is lucky to have you in her life. I can tell you that I have noticed that she has been tired more lately too; I just chalked it up to being exhausted from everything that has happened lately. It has been one hell of a year."

"I thought that too," Shelley admits to the women. "But it was so odd for her to just pass out like that at my place. It's not like her at all."

"Hey," Adam announces as he walks into the living room. "I think I discovered why Dawn has been so tired so often of the time."

Helen stands up and looks at her ex-husband. "What is it? Is Dawn okay?"

Adam looks back at her in concern. "I found these anti-depressants in the upstairs washroom. One of the side effects is severe exhaustion."

"I didn't know Dawn was taking anti-depressants," Shelley stands up and moves behind Helen. "She never said a word about that."

"I should have known," Helen puts her hand over her face. "I'm her mother! How could I not have known this?"

"Hey, this isn't your fault," Adam comes up and hugs her. "What happened to you was not your fault; it was Victoria's. You and I have both been so busy with other aspects of our lives that we over saw this."

Robin uneasily looks forward at the sight of Adam holding Helen. She tries to tell herself that it doesn't matter because Adam is engaged to her now, but she can't help but feeling insecure at the sight.

"The most important thing is that we discuss this with Dawn immediately," Helen looks into Adam's eyes. "We have to help our daughter, Adam. "

"Of course," Adam nods back to her. "I'm right here, Helen. And, I'm not leaving. I promise," he continues to tell causing Robin to roll her eyes to herself.

The Pier

"Max! Oh my God, Max! Are you okay?" Paige shouts from the pier as she sees Max swimming back towards the pier carrying the body in his arms. She has no idea how a body ended up in the river but she hopes that Max is about to save whomever it is.

"Help me with this," Max treads some water near the base of the pier as he starts to pass the body up to Paige, who pulls the body to the ground. Max crawls out of the water and looks at Paige as he tries to catch his breath.

"Are you okay? Can I get you anything?" Paige rushes up to her boyfriend as she hugs him.

"I'm fine, I'm fine," he tells her as they exit their embrace. He looks down at the body and bends down and rolls it over. "My God," he gasps as he looks back at Paige. "It's Cheresa! Call 9-1-1 Paige! We don't have a moment to waste!"

Paige freezes in shock and then starts to stumble for her phone through her purse as Max starts to perform CPR on their friend, whose face is looking blue from being in the water for so long.
