Twin Peaks General Hospital

"Where's Cheresa? Where is my daughter?" a panicked Brooke asks as she walks into the waiting room and sees Abby, Brad and Greg all standing around discussing what could have happened to Cheresa. The entire Lawson family rushed to the hospital once they got news of Cheresa's accident; now, they are all desperate for answers as to what happened and how Cheresa is actually doing. They just hope that she is okay because they have no idea what they will do if something serious happens to her.

"She's in the ICU," Abby tells her mother as she rushes up to her and hugs her. "We are waiting for Shane to come and give us an update."

"I just can't believe this is happening," Brooke says as they exit their embrace. "I'm glad we are all here together, we have to be strong right now."

"What the hell is taking Shane so long?" Greg asks his family, not making eye contact with Brooke. He still can't look at his wife after learning about her affair with her Robbie; in his mind, everything that is happening now is as direct result of Brooke's affair.

"Let's try to stay calm," Brad tells his father. "Maybe he's doing something that will help Cheresa recover from this."

Before anyone can say anything, Shane walks into the waiting room and immediately feels all the eyes of the Lawson family on him. "Shane, please, how is she? How is my daughter?" Brooke turns and asks him desperate for some answers.

Shane sighs and looks back at the family. "What happened? How did she end up in the river?" Greg asks him next, not giving the doctor a moment to breathe.

"Okay, one question at a time," Shane replies to them. "I don't know all the details about what happened. All I know is that Max Black jumped into the water when he saw Cheresa in the river and pulled her to the pier. He and Paige Claus called 9-1-1; when I got here, Cheresa was already here and I began treating her."

"Okay, do we have any idea how long she was in the water?" Brad asks the doctor next.

"Long enough," Shane replies to them. "That she wasn't breathing on her own when she came in. She's on a ventilator right now, which is helping her breathe."

"My God," Brooke gasps as she hears the news of her daughter. "What is going to happen to her?"

"I've ran some scans on her brain and lungs," Shane continues to tell the family. "Once I get those results back, we will have more information."

"Is she awake?" Abby asks him.

"No," Shane replies to her. "She's a in a coma. And until we know more, I don't know for certain if she will ever wake up again," he reveals to them as the Lawson's all look back in horror at the thought of Cheresa never waking up from her coma.

The Pampa Grill

Eva sits at the bar with a glass of red wine in front of her. She is on her phone looking at some emails coming in; she is hoping to get an update on Victoria from her doctors in Pittsburgh. She knows that her daughter was sent away to get help with her multiple personalities and while she hasn't heard directly from Victoria yet, she has heard from her doctors and she is seemingly getting better. She just hopes that trend is continuing.

She freezes when she sees an incoming call in from the clinic. "Eva speaking," she says into her phone. "Yes, hi, I've been expecting your call. How is Victoria?"

Lukas stops in his tracks when he sees Eva at the bar on her phone speaking about Victoria. He moves a little closer to her so he can hear what she is saying, curious as to what is going on with the woman who tormented so many people while she was sick with her multiple personality disorder.

"I'm so pleased that Victoria is better," Eva tells the doctor on the phone. "Does that mean she is coming home soon? Really? Great, yes, thank you, thank you so much."

Lukas keeps walking towards the washroom. Eva, meanwhile, picks up her glass of wine and takes a sip of it, thrilled with the news that Victoria is doing so well that she should be coming home sooner rather than later. She has missed her daughter and her hopes of Victoria getting healthy again are finally coming true, which makes her most pleased.

"Hey, you were gone for longer than I expected," Craig tells his friend as Lukas comes back to their table and he sits down. Craig and Lukas at the restaurant having lunch together so they can catch up. Neither of them, however, can stop thinking about their near kiss the night Donovan proposed to Lukas. They both know that it can never happen because Lukas ended up getting engaged to Donovan, so any feelings that they may have had for one another, they have to put aside.

"Yea, sorry," Lukas picks up his beer and takes a drink of it. "I overheard something that isn't sitting well with me."

Craig arches his eyebrow at Lukas' causal remark. "Are you going to tell me what it is? It's going to eat you alive if you keep it bottled up."

"You're right," Lukas replies to him quickly. "I heard Eva on her phone; Victoria is doing better so she might be coming home soon."

"That would be good news, isn't it?"

Lukas shrugs his shoulders. "I don't know," he admits to him. "Part of me wishes Victoria would never come home. She caused so much damage to so many people…"

"I get why you'd feel that way," Craig tells him. "But Victoria is Donovan's sister; you should be supportive of your fiancé's sister, shouldn't you?"

Lukas looks back at Craig and immediately thinks about how they came so close to kissing. He looks into Craig's eyes and then licks his lips a little. "Yea, of course, you're right," Lukas tries to tell him. "You're always right."

Craig uneasily chuckles back to him, thinking that Lukas was just checking him out. "I try to be," he winks back to him.

The Sugarbowl

Andy sits at the back booth with an iced coffee in front of him as he waits for Nicholas to arrive. He was surprised to hear back from Nicholas so soon since the last time that they saw one another; Andy recalls how he was with Craig when his friend encouraged him to continue to reach out to Nicholas, despite him pushing Andy away after the events at the St. Joseph's church gala. When Andy went to Nicholas' hotel room, he found his lover with a gun. Andy was feared that Nicholas was going to hurt himself and encouraged his friend to seek professional help. The last thing that Andy wanted was for Nicholas to harm himself; he has too many people that care about him for that to happen.

Andy looks up and sees Nicholas walking towards the back booth having just walked into the coffeehouse. "Hey, it's nice to hear from you," Andy smiles over at him, secretly thrilled that Nicholas suggested they get together. In his mind, it is progress since for a while after the Gala, Nicholas did not want to see him at all.

"I thought I owed it to you to give you an update," Nicholas sits across from Andy. "As you know, these last few months have been very difficult on me. The other day, when you found me, I was in a very low point."

Andy uneasily nods back to him. "The most important thing, Nicholas, is that you're okay. That's all I want for you."

"I know that," Nicholas admits to him. "And, I just got back from a therapy appointment. I am taking your advice; I am getting help for this depression that I'm in. So, you don't have to worry about me anymore."

Andy smiles back to him. "That's not likely to change," he tells him. "I still care for your, Nicholas. I'm always going to worry about you."

Nicholas feels his face flush. "I do care about you too Andy," Nicholas admits to him. "But, I've made a decision. I'm going to leave Twin Peaks. There's nothing here for me anymore. I can't stay here."

Andy feels the blood drain from his face as he thinks about his life without Nicholas in it. "That's nonsense," Andy immediately tells him. "Robin is here, you have friends here…I'm here," Andy tells him. "I know that you need time, Nicholas, and I get that. But at the end of the day, there is something between us. And when you're ready, we could be together. There's nothing holding us back now. And I think if you look inside your heart, you know what I'm saying is true."

Twin Peaks General Hospital

Andrew leaves the cafeteria with a coffee in his hand. He was with Abby studying for their upcoming midterm when she got the call about Cheresa so he drove her to the hospital. Once they arrived, Abby's family gathered, so Andrew left them to deal with their family issues alone.

As he walks down the hospital hallway, he can't help but notice Albertinah walk out of a hospital room. He arches his eyebrow wondering why his teacher is at the hospital and he immediately recalls how they kissed recently; he hasn't been able to get the kiss out of his mind, despite the fact that she is his teacher and they both know that it would be wrong to have any type of relationship. She told him that it could never happen again, and he gets why: if they ever crossed a line again, she could lose her job.

"Hey," he rushes up to her. "I'm surprised to see you here. I hope everything is okay?"

Albertinah licks her lips back to Andrew as she notices her young student approaching her. "Yea, just a regular checkup. I am okay," she replies to him. "I can't believe you drink that stuff," she points to his coffee.

Andrew chuckles back to her. "Yea, I know," he tells her. "Abby, from our world history class, she needed a ride here and I'm not sure how long she'll be…"

"Ah, that's nice of you," Albertinah uneasily nod back to him. "I hope everything is alright with her?"

"She is fine," he replies to her. "It is her sister; she was in some kind of accident. I'm not sure of all of the details."

"So, you and Abby….?" Albertinah finds herself licking her lips wondering if Andrew and Abby are more than just friends.

"We are just friends," Andrew quickly replies to her. "Nothing more."

"I see, I see."

"I can't stop thinking about that kiss," Andrew blurts out to her as their eyes lock. "Tell me I'm not alone in that."

Albertinah feels her cheeks flush as she knows that she has been thinking about their kiss more than she cares to admit. "You're my student, Andrew. Nothing can …"

Andrew cuts her off by kissing her again. They part ways for a moment before she kisses him passionately back. "I want you so badly," Andrew whispers to her as she turns around and opens the empty hospital room. She pulls him inside and closes, and locks, the door behind them. She kisses him passionately again as she starts to unbutton his pants.

"Shelley is parking the car," Helen tells Adam as she rushes up to him as he paces outside of a hospital room. Helen was with Shelley trying to track down Dawn so they could discuss the fact that they realized that she has been taking anti-depressant pills when Adam called her to tell her that there had been an accident. She has no idea what has happened to Dawn but she only hopes that her daughter is okay. "What happened?"

"I don't know all the details," Adam looks over at his ex-wife as he pulls her into a hug. "Dawn was found sleeping on a bench on the pier and Cheresa's body was floating in the river."

"What?" Helen gasps in shock and horror. "Is she….?"

"No, she's alive, thank God," Adam replies to her quickly. "I don't know how serious her injuries are, however."

"Why was Dawn sleeping? Wait, tell me she wasn't on her medication…"

"She was," Adam uneasily tells Helen. "She had so much medication in her system that they had to pump her stomach."

"My God," Helen gasps as she covers her mouth and gets tears in her eyes. "What has happened to our daughter?"

"I wish I knew," Adam tells her as he pulls her into another hug. "But we have to help her before it's too late."

"Meggan, hey," Trenyce and Chris rush up to her as she stands at the nurses station waiting to get an update on Cheresa. She was with Brad when he got the call that she was in an accident so she came to the hospital with him. Meggan knows that he is still blackmailing her with the truth about Logan's paternity, but she had to tell Chris and Trenyce about Cheresa's accident because she knows that they care about the girl. "We got your message. What is going on?"

"I don't know all the details," Meggan replies to them quickly. "I know that you guys are close to Andrew still; a couple of his friends were involved in some kind of accident."

"What kind of accident?" Chris asks her as he takes his hands out of his pockets.

"Cheresa Lawson was found in the river," Meggan tells them as Trenyce gasps back in horror. "They don't know how long she was in the water or what will happen next, but I wanted you guys to hear it from me."

"This is awful," Trenyce says as she hugs Chris. "Why does it seem like there is always something bad happening to people we know and care about?"

"It will be okay Trey," Chris holds her for a moment longer, as Meggan watches them. As she looks at them she forcefully bites her tongue knowing that they should know Cheresa is their daughter; if something happens to her, they should have the chance to know that she is their child.

Chris looks over and can see that Meggan is thinking about something. "Meg, what is it? What else is going on?"

"Nothing," Meggan lies to them. "I just wanted you to hear it this from me."

"We appreciate that," Trenyce nods back to her, still wondering if there is more to this story than what Meggan is telling them.

"What do you mean she might never wake up?" Brooke asks Shane back as the Lawson family just learned that Cheresa is in a coma due to being in the water for such a long period of time. "I don't care what you have to do, Shane, you make sure she wakes up! Do you hear me?"

"I'm going to give you all some time," Shane replies to her, not wanting to listen to her berate him; he is doing everything he possibly can to help Cheresa. "I'll be around if you have more questions or I'll seek you out when I get the test results back."

"I can't believe this!" Brooke shrieks again as Shane leaves the room. "We have to do something! I refuse to think that my daughter will never wake up again!"

"And what do you want to do?" Greg snaps at her. "Knowing you, you'll spread your legs so a specialist will come and treat her!"

"How dare you!" Brooke yells back at him.

"Enough!" Abby yells at her parents. "You two are the most horrible people in the world," she cries to her family. "Our sister, your daughter, is fighting for her life and all you two can do is bicker about this damn affair! You should both be ashamed of yourselves!"

Before Brooke and Greg can say anything, Abby runs out of the waiting room. Brad looks at his parents in disgust and the rushes off after his sister. "Abby, wait up…"

"Are you happy now?" Brooke asks her husband, furious that he is lashing out at her about her affair when they should be focused on helping Cheresa.

"This is all your fault," Greg sneers at her in digust. "Your affair with Robbie is the cause of all of this Brooke. If our daughter dies, it's on you."
