Theme song: "When We Drive" Death Cab For Cutie Previously
on One Day at a Time - Leah and Jeff learned that Max saved Cheresa from
drowning in the river. They had both quit working at Robertson Enterprises as
they didn't like how Dominick gave Paige money after she moved out when they didn't
want her to see Max anymore - Kim plotted to make a move at Roboto while Robbie
and Natasha were busy with their personal lives - Robbie realized that Cory
is the one who told Kim about his affair with Brooke and punched him - Cassie
and the Calimo's reeled from Jacob's revelation that he was using Cassie to get
back at her for all the wrong doings she had put his family through - Andrew
and Albertinah had sex - Lukas learned that Victoria was likely on her way
home Robertson Enterprises "That is wonderful news
about Victoria," Dominick tells Eva as they stand in his office at Robertson
Enterprises. Eva just told her husband that Victoria is doing well enough that
she should be on her way home soon. While he is thrilled for Eva, and Victoria,
since he knows how sick she was, he can't help but be worried about his company
and their upcoming launch for their winter/ski line. Without Leah and Jeff working
to help them finish the project, the company is at risk of not being ready for
the November release date, and that would be a huge blow to him and Robertson
since they have put so much time and energy into the new line. "I
thought so too," Eva nods back to him. "Thank you for all your support.
I know it wasn't easy as Victoria's alters did a lot of horrible things."
"That's what family is for." "Why do I get the feeling
that you have more on your mind? What is going on around here? I feel like I have
a missed something," Eva moves closer to her husband as she can tell that
he is struggling with something else. "You know me so well,"
Dominick tries to put a smile on his face. "Leah and Jeff quit Robertson
after I gave Paige that money once she moved out. They were livid with me for
interfering in their parenting of her." "I can't believe they
just quit like that," a stunned Eva tells him. "They know that you are
working towards the launch of your new line. What does this mean for you and the
company?" "It is going to be difficult but I hope that we can
still get the line out as expected," he tells her. "I just hope my family
can survive this." Eva moves up to him and pulls him into a hug.
"We have been through so much together," she whispers in his year. "This
is just the latest minor setback. Nothing will stop us from getting this family
back on track. I believe that, and so should you." ***
Outside the main office, Jeff and Leah stand next to one another as Leah
looks at her phone. She sighs back to her husband as she realizes that Paige has
not yet met them despite them asking for her presence at the office. After everything
that has happened lately, they need to see Paige, and Dominick, for that matter
to get some things straight once and for all. "Do you think that
she is standing us up because of our behaviour lately?" Jeff asks Leah, who
looks back at him with water in her eyes. "I hope not," she
admits to him. "I know that we have been tough on her but
"
"You don't have to explain anything to me," Jeff grabs her hand.
"We are in this together, remember?" "I don't know what
I'd do without you," she pulls him into a hug. "You'll never
have to find out." Before Leah can reply, the elevator doors open
and Paige appears before her parents. "You asked me to meet you here and
here I am," she says as she approaches her parents. "But, if this is
about Max and I
" "Please," Jeff cuts her off. "Just
hear us out. Your mother and I, we owe you a huge apology." The
Sugarbowl Kim quickly grabs her coffee from the barista and moves
over to the bar to put some cream and sugar into her beverage. She needs to get
over to Roboto so she can finish some of her plans before Robbie and Natasha return
full time to the company. She knows that when they return, anything she has set
in motion will be stopped because they are still blaming her for Bob's death,
which in her mind, is insane. She just hopes that she can continue to do what
she feels like is best for the company because she knows that is what Bob would
have wanted. She turns to leave when she sees Cassie sitting alone at
the bar window. She arches her eyebrow as she recalls hearing the news that Jacob<
was using Cassie to get back at her for all the horrible things that she had did
to Natasha in the past. Kim, of course, knows that all of that happened years
ago; so much time has passed since that time. And, Kim realizes that, even she,
was caught in the cross fire all those years ago when she ended up getting shot
when Helen and Natasha were saved from the basement that Cassie was holding them
hostage in. Still, Kim has to feel bad for Cassie as she and Jacob genuinely did
seem happy with one another. "Cassie," Kim calls out as she
approaches her. Cassie turns and sees Kim and immediately fears the worse.
"I'm not in mood to get any lecture," Cassie tells her quickly.
"So if you're here to rake me over the coals, you can save it. I've heard
all I can from Jacob, Natasha and Shane." "I wasn't going to
do that," Kim replies to her. "In fact, I was going to offer you some
assistance." Cassie arches her eyebrow. "What are you talking
about?" "A job," Kim tells her. "Come work with me
at Roboto." Cassie's mouth opens in shock as she listens to Kim's
idea. "You can't be serious," Cassie chuckles back to her. "I know
that Robbie and Natasha were left the CEO positions as Roboto in Bob's will. Do
you really think that they would let me work there?" "They
don't have a choice in the matter," Kim informs her. "Part of the stipulation
in Bob's will was that I was left a top executive position; any hiring decision
I make, they can't overturn, even if they wanted too." Cassie shakes
her head in disbelief. "Why would you want me to work at Roboto with you?"
"Because," Kim purses her lips together. "You might be the
only person that Natasha hates more than me. You and I, we could help each other
out, have each other's backs, if you will. I know I could use back up against
those two brats." Cassie chuckles back to her. "This is all
so sudden and unexpected," Cassie admits to her. "But, I really like
the idea of having a way to stick it to Natasha. And, I could use the distraction
from everything else going on in my life right now." "Does
that mean
?" "I accept," Cassie shakes Kim's hand.
"I'll work with you at Roboto." The Calimo Mansion
"Good morning Cory," Jacob smiles to his stepfather as he pours
himself a cup of coffee and Cory enters the living room of the mansion. "If
you're looking for my mother, she's already headed into Roboto. She said she had
a busy day planned." "I bet she does," Cory uneasily replies
to him. "I'm glad that we have this time alone, Jacob." Jacob
takes a sip of his coffee before he looks back at Cory. "Is everything okay?
It sounds serious." "It is serious," Cory sighs back to
him, recalling how he and Natasha have been at odds since he hasn't been enjoying
how she has been behaving lately. The fact that Jacob was using Cassie, and exposed
his plan right before he was going to get married to her, shows that he is acting
just like his mother. "It's about Cassie and everything you did the day of
your wedding." "Not this again," Jacob waves his hand
back to her. "If you think that I am going to apologize for what I did, you
have another thing coming." "What you did was wrong,"
Cory sternly tells him. "If your parents won't tell you that, then you better
believe that I will." "Why is it wrong?" Jacob stubbornly
replies to him. "Because I put the woman who tortured my mother through a
similar hell? In my mind, that is called karma." "What happened
between Cassie and your mother happened many, many years ago," Cory informs
him. "You can't go around telling her that you forgive her when in fact you
don't. That's just cruel." "Whatever," Jacob snaps at
him. "I can see why you and my mother are fighting; you just don't get it."
Cory is about to say something back to Jacob, but his stepson has stormed
out of the living room. Cory runs his hands through his hair wondering how he
can make his family realize that they are acting out of turn. The
Pampa Grill "I did talk to my Mom and she said Victoria is on
her way home," Donovan tells Lukas as they sit across from one another having
breakfast together. Donovan realizes that the fact that Victoria may be coming
home could upset Lukas as was adamant that Victoria may for her actions while
she was under control of her alter egos. Donovan knows that Victoria has already
suffered enough with her illness but that may not be enough for Lukas.
Lukas takes a sip of his coffee as he recalls being at the restaurant a few days
earlier and he overheard Eva on the phone confirming that Victoria was on her
way home. He revealed to Craig that he wasn't sure how he felt about it and Craig
told him to support his fiancé and his sister. "I guess that
means you are pretty happy, huh?" "Yes, of course," Donovan
nods back to him. "I want my sister to be healthy. This has been a long time
coming." "I'm glad that she's better, I really am."
"This means that she could come to the wedding," Donovan tells
Lukas, trying to make him feel better about his sister coming home. "Great,"
Lukas manages to put a smile on his face. "I know Vic isn't your
favorite person," Donovan tells him, sensing Lukas' apprehension about her
coming home. "But she is my sister Lukas. That will never change."
"I know," Lukas waves his hand in the air. "I'm just struggling
to get over everything she did. She hurt so many people; people that I care a
lot about, like Craig. It may take some time to forgive her, that's all I'm asking
for." *** Andrew slowly walks into the restaurant
and scans the tables hoping to see Abby waiting for him as they were planning
on studying for their midterm together. He knows that Cheresa is still in the
hospital but Abby agreed to meet him because she still has to write her exam.
Instead of seeing his fellow classmate, however, Andrew sees Albertinah sitting
alone at a table in the corner. He pauses and takes a deep breath as he remembers
randomly seeing Albertinah at the hospital and they ended up making love in one
of the hospital rooms. He almost can't believe what happened but he hasn't been
able to get it out of his mind. He finds himself walking over to her
table and clears his throat to get her attention. "Hey," he says before
he sits down across from her. "I haven't heard from you since the other day
at the hospital." Albertinah looks up to see Andrew then puts her
head back down to look at the marking she has to do. "No, you haven't. And,
you won't hear from me again, Andrew." "Are you saying you
didn't enjoy what happened?" he asks her with a sly grin on his face. "Because
where I was
" "That's not the point," she cuts him
off sternly. "We both got carried away. I could lose my job over what happened
and you, you could be expelled." "No one has to know
"
"Andrew, stop, enough," She waves her hand in the air as she signs
back to him. "What we did at the hospital, it was a mistake. It can never
happen again." "What are you saying?" "I'm
saying forget me, forget what happened," she replies to him. "We can
never have sex with each other again." Robertson Enterprises
"I'm not sure why you are all here," Dominick admits to Leah, Jeff
and Paige as they stand in his office as Eva looks on uneasily. The last thing
any of them want is to have another shouting match over Paige's relationship with
Max, especially with Dominik needing to finish his line. "We can
explain," Jeff replies to him before he looks over at Paige with a sly grin
on her face. "Before we came inside," Leah continues to tell
her father the story. "We apologized to Paige for our actions surrounding
her relationship with Max." "You did what?" Dominick gasps
back at them. "Why the sudden change of heart?" "Max saved
Cheresa Lawson from drowning," Paige tells her grandfather. "They realize
that they were misjudging Max before they got to know him." "She's
right," Jeff tells Dominick. "Max isn't perfect, far from it, but what
he did proved that he is a good man." "And with Cheresa still
in the hospital, we have realized how short life is," Leah continues. "We
don't want to waste anytime fighting with our daughter. Or you, Daddy."
"What are you saying?" Dominick asks them. "We are
sorry for how we acted," Leah moves up to him. "We are here ready to
take our jobs back, if you'll have us." "Of course I'll have
you," Dominick pulls her into a hug. "I love you so much."
"We love you too, Daddy." The Sugarbowl
Lukas opens the door to the coffeehouse looking to escape Donovan and all the
talk about Victoria coming home. He still doesn't why everyone is seemingly so
forgiving to Victoria considering all of the awful things she did while her alter
egos were in control of her body. He doesn't know if he is able to put that all
behind him, if he's honest with himself. "Lukas, hey, what's going
on?" Craig asks his friend as he moves up to him. "You look like you've
seen a ghost. Are you okay?" "No," Lukas immediately tells
him. "I'm not okay. Donovan just confirmed with me that Victoria is coming
home and, as much as I've tried, I don't think I can forgive her for what she's
done. I don't know that I can move on from it." Craig sighs and
immediately pulls him into a hug. "You'll be fine," he tells his friend,
as they both start thinking about how they almost shared a kiss recently. "Trust
me, you will get through this." *** Jacob opens
the door to the coffeehouse and moves inside as he seeks another coffee. He had
to get out of the mansion after Cory started to lash out at him for what he did
to Cassie at their wedding. The last thing he wanted to hear was Cory advising
him that he was wrong in his revenge on Cassie. He grabs his coffee from
the barista and turns around and immediately spots Cassie still sitting at the
window bar. He hadn't seen her since their wedding day; he knows that he should
leave well enough alone but he finds himself moving up to her. "I'm
surprised to see you still in town," he tells her as he arrives at her chair.
He had assumed that after he left her, Cassie would have packed her bags and left
town. Cassie looks up at her ex-fiancé and glares back at him.
"You'd love that, wouldn't you? Well, you don't have that much power over
me, Jacob. I have a lot more going on in my life than just you."
Jacob chuckles back to her. "Really? Like what?" "That's
none of your business," she replies to him quickly. "And, for what it's
worth, you can claim all you want that you were using me," she tells him
as she stands up and looks him in the eyes. "But, you didn't fake all those
nights you made love to me. You wanted me just as much as I wanted you. Every
night when you sleep, I hope you see me in your arms, you begging me for more
then when you wake up in a cold sweat, you can run back to your mother like you
always do," she moves up to him before she pushes him out her way.
"Cassie
" "Go to hell," she spits as she storms
out of the coffeehouse leaving Jacob all alone with his coffee. Roboto
"I'm glad you two finally decided to show up," Kim stands up from
sitting behind the desk in the main office of Roboto when Robbie and Natasha open
the door and move inside the room. "So much has happened that you will both
need to get caught up on." Natasha rolls her eyes to Robbie before
she throws her purse on the sofa. "Can you please email me a detailed update
on everything that has happened so we can be informed?" Kim uneasily
chuckles back to her. "I'm not your assistant," Kim sneers back to her.
"This file will be a good start for you to review. Let me know if you have
any questions." "This file is huge," Robbie says grabbing
the file from Kim. "Well, yea, you two have been away for weeks,"
Kim says as she moves to the door of the office. "One thing I can tell you,"
she stops at the door. "I've hired Cassie Nova. She'll be reporting to me."
"You did what?" Natasha gasps back to her. "You have no right
"
"Actually, as per my husband's will, I have every right," Kim winks
back to her. "How quickly you forget; you even tried to get the will over
turned and that failed. I'll be around if you have any questions on that file." "What
happened to trying to get along?" Robbie asks Kim, who purses her lips together. "I'm
more than willing to get along with my husband's children, are you two ready to
bury the hatchet?" Kim asks him before she leaves the office leaving the
siblings alone with the giant file in front of them. Robbie looks at
Natasha and sighs heavily. "This is a fucking nightmare," he tells his
sister. "We have to get control of Kim and this company," Natasha
replies to him quickly. "This is all Cory's fault! Damn him!"
"Why are you mad at my husband?" Natasha asks Robbie, unaware of
what Cory has done. "Because," Robbie glares back at her. "He
was the one who told Kim about Brooke and I. Cory is the one that cost us getting
Dad's will overturned." Next on One Day at a Time - Nicholas
and Robin catch up - Natasha confronts Cory - Brad pleads with Meggan
