Roboto
"I'm just reading my Twitter feed," Natasha
looks over at Kim,
who is sitting on the sofa in the main office at Roboto typing into her
laptop. Kim pauses and looks back at Natasha, who is sitting at the desk
and arches her eyebrow wondering why Natasha is interrupting her work
flow. "It appears that the Robertson launch of Gravity was a really
huge success."
"From what I hear, they have been working on that line for some time;
I'm not surprised it went off without a hitch."
Natasha sighs back to her. "The success of the line will mean that
Roboto will take a hit."
Kim nods back to her. "Roboto and Robertson have always gone back
and forth with each other; we have always tried to outdo the other company.
It always steamed from Dominick
and Bob's
rivalry."
"Just because my father is gone," Natasha quips back to her.
"Doesn't mean that Roboto will become complacent. We will not play
second fiddle to Dominick or Robertson Enterprises."
Kim chuckles back to her. "You sound exactly your father used too."
"It's weird still; my Dad, I mean, not being here."
"I miss him every day."
"We need to do something to ensure that Roboto doesn't come short
in this tug of war with Robertson," Natasha replies to her. "We
have to come up with something and we have to come up with something ASAP."
"Don't worry," Kim looks over at her which checks Natasha by
surprise. "Cassie
and I have been working on something. We will get back on top, mark my
words."
The Lawson Estate
"I just heard about Mom," a panicked Abby
says as she storms into the living room of her family home and sees Brad
pacing back and forth. "How the hell was she, like, arrested?"
Brad looks back at his sister with worry on his face. He had been at Caldwell's
Mountain Ski Resort but once he found out that Brooke
had been arrested, he raced back home to be with his family and to find
out what he could do to help. He knows that Chris
and Trenyce
must have informed the police about how Brooke purchased Cheresa from
the black market all those years ago; his worse fears are actually coming
true right now.
"It's a long story," Brad admits to her. "But, we have
to be there for her right now. I know we were upset with her for sleeping
with Robbie
Calimo, but these charges, they are serious."
"How do you know what they are and I don't?" Abby asks him back
as she puts her hand on her hip. "Why am I always the last to know
what is going on with the family?"
"I'll tell you everything," Brad replies to her quickly. "Right
now, we have to make sure that Mom is okay. That should be our top priority."
"Your mother is fine," a voice calls out from the entry way
of the living room. "She is out on bail, if I understood correctly."
Brad and Abby turn and see Greg
moving into the living room. Brad wonders why his father doesn't know
more details about Brooke's arrest and release on bail; and, if she is
out on bail, why is she not with him?
"What do you mean, if you understood correctly?" Brad asks his
father. "Why don't you know? Didn't you bail her out?"
"And, why aren't you at the hospital? Who is with Cheresa right now?"
Abby also asks him, wondering about her sister.
"One question at a time," Greg tells his children as he takes
a sip of his scotch. "Brooke was arrested, I was there when it happened.
She called Robbie Calimo to bail her out."
"She shouldn't have had to make a call!" Brad snaps at him.
"You should have been there and done everything you could to get
her out of jail! My God, this is a mess, and you're not making it any
better!"
"Don't you dare raise your voice to me," Greg turns and glares
at his son. "You have no idea what I've been through the last few
weeks."
"We have all been through the same situation," Abby tells her
father. "We have to be a family right now! All this fighting has
got to stop!"
"I agree with Abby," Brad looks over at Greg. "I'm really
disappointed in you, Dad."
"Now, can someone please tell me what Mom was arrested for?"
Abby looks at Brad in confusion; she needs answers and she needs them
now.
"Come sit with me," Greg tells his daughter. "It's a very
long story, and it's time you know the truth; the whole truth."
The Pampa Grill
"I can't thank you enough for posting my bail," Brooke tells
Robbie as they sit across from each other at the restaurant. Brooke almost
can't believe what the last 24 hours have brought her; the truth about
Cheresa's paternity came out and then she flat-lined only to be revived
and then she took a turn for the better. Then, Chris called Simona Lopez
and Brooke was arrested for buying Cheresa from the black market all those
years ago. "I didn't know who else to turn too."
"It's not a problem," Robbie looks back at her. "I'm glad
you called me."
"I'll pay you back all the money that I owe you."
"It's not about the money," Robbie replies to her quickly. "I'm
just surprised that Greg didn't post the bail himself."
Brooke sighs back to him. "He can barely look at me right now,"
she admits to him. "He blames me for everything that is happening
in our family right now. Because, I confessed my affair to you and then
all hell broke loose."
"You're not to blame for Cheresa's accident," Robbie tells her.
"You have to know that."
Brooke feels water swell in her eyes. "It just feels like everything
has happened to quickly, you know? Greg and I, we were in such a good
place and then Kim announced our affair in court so I had to tell Greg
the truth. From that second, everything changed. And then Cheresa's accident
and
how, these charges. God, what's happened to me? What's happened to my
family?"
Robbie reaches over and grabs her trembling hand. "It is a lot to
go through," he agrees with her. "But Brooke, whatever happens,
you have to know that I am here for you. I am in your corner; you will
not go through this alone."
Twin Peaks General Hospital
"Do you think we did the right thing?" Trenyce asks Chris as
they sit outside of Cheresa's hospital room. Trenyce didn't realize that
Chris was going to call Simona
to get Brooke arrested; so when the arrest took place, she was just as
surprised as Brooke and Greg were. With Cheresa still in the hospital,
she is left wondering if they did the right thing; after all Cheresa does
still consider Brooke her mother.
"Of course we did," Chris replies to her quickly. "I know
it was sudden but it had to be done. I was tired of Brooke and Greg acting
like they could make all the decisions regarding Cheresa. I get that they
raised her but we are her parents. It's not like we gave her up for adoption
all those years ago. She was stolen from us; from you."
"I know," Trenyce nods back to him. "It is just that Cheresa
still thinks of Brooke and Greg as her parents. Just because we know the
truth doesn't mean anything. She might not want to have us in her life."
"I hadn't thought of that," Chris admits to her. "But what's
done is done. No matter what Cheresa decides to do, Brooke was going to
pay for how she obtained our daughter. That part wasn't up for debate."
"I have an idea," Trenyce turns to look at him. "How about
we go in and visit our daughter?"
"I'd love that," Chris stands up from his chair. "And,
I love that we can call her our daughter."
"Me too," Trenyce smiles back to him as she opens the door to
the hospital room door. They move inside and slowly closer to Cheresa.
When Trenyce sees the girls' face, she gasps a little as she fights back
the tears. She still can't believe that Cheresa is her daughter; after
so many years of trying to find her child, she finally has her back in
her life. Now, she just has to hope that Cheresa wakes up and starts to
mend from her injuries.
"We are here kiddo," Chris looks down at his daughter. "And,
we aren't going anywhere. We are your family. I know that may surprise
you, but it is true."
"It's true Cheresa," Trenyce smiles through a tear. "We
will never leave you again."
They look at one another in surprise as Cheresa's eyelids start to flutter.
Slowly, her eyes open and Cheresa looks back at Chris and Trenyce. Another
tear falls down Trenyce's cheeks.
"My baby girl, you've come back to me, you're awake," she grabs
Cheresa's hand. "Thank God. You're really awake!"
Caldwell's Mountain Ski Resort
"It really was a great ceremony," Tyler
tells Donovan
as they stand in the ballroom of the mountain ski lodge. For the most
part, the Robertson Enterprises fashion show equipment has been taken
down and the staff of the lodge is setting up for Donovan and Lukas'
wedding reception, which will still place once everyone returns from either
skiing or snowboarding.
Donovan takes a sip of his champagne and can't erase the smile from his
face as he recalls marrying Lukas earlier in the evening. He never thought
he would be so happy, but this is the best feeling he has ever felt in
his life.
"Thank you," Donovan replies to him. "It's funny, you know?
I didn't think that getting married would really change me that much but
I have never felt happier."
"I can only imagine," Tyler takes a sip of his champagne. "When
you find that person you know you're meant to be with, you just know.
They can change your entire world."
"It's very true," Donovan nods back to him. "Does all this
talk mean that you and Daisy
?"
Tyler chuckles back to him. "I was planning to propose tonight,"
Tyler admits to him. "She wanted to go skiing so it ruined my moment,
but when she gets back, I'm thinking I will ask her to marry me."
"I couldn't be happier for you," Donovan tells his friend. "What
an amazing evening this is turning out to be."

"Dominick,
we have to do something," Eva
tells her husband as she looks over at him with intent. She can't believe
that they were just told that there is a risk of an avalanche; many loved
ones are currently on the ski hill as they wait for more details. She
just hopes that this risk doesn't turn into a real natural disaster as
it would create complete chaos. "We can't just sit back while so
many people are out on the ski hill."
"I know," Dominick paces back and forth. "I'm thinking
we can make an announcement once we hear back from the front desk with
an update. The last thing I want to do is create panic if we don't have
too."
"Yea, that makes sense," Eva nods back to him. "But Lukas
is out there. Donovan just married him. God, Dominick, I have a horrible
feeling about all of this."
Before Dominick can reply, the front desk clerk re-approaches Dominick
and Eva. "Mr. Robertson, I just got off the phone with the park ranger
and he is saying that they can see movement from the top of the mountain.
They believe that the snow is getting ready to fall."
"That means
" Dominick gasps back to him.
"The chances of an avalanche are very real."
"There
must be something we can do!" Eva interjects. "Don't you have
any warning signals on the mountain to warn people?"
"Yes, we
do actually," the clerk replies. "I will start the strobbing
lights now."
"Great,
hopefully any skiers will see the warning lights and get off the mountain!"
Dominick says as they walk towards the front desk urgently.
Empress Mountain
Near the top of the mountain, Lukas peers down the slope as he can see
many other skiers. He takes off his goggles and looks around, admiring
the beauty that surrounds him. In this moment, he realizes how much he
had missed being on the mountains and skiing; he hadn't been much since
he left Switzerland all those years ago.
"Yea, I need to do this more often," he whispers to himself.
Suddenly, another skier stops next to him. Lukas looks over and sees Craig
standing next to him on his skies.
"Craig, hey," Lukas smile back to him. "Great evening for
a ski, hey?"
"Yea, it really is," Craig nods back to him. "I think this
will be last leg though, it's getting a tad dark for my liking."
"Fair, I hope you come back to the wedding reception after you're
done."
Craig uneasily gulps back to him, recalling how he and Lukas shared a
kiss a week before the wedding. He doesn't know if he will be able to
get it out of his mind.
"That silence," Lukas notes back to his friend. "Does it
mean that you're uncomfortable because of our kiss?"
"Whatever happened, it doesn't matter now," Craig immediately
replies to him. "Because you're married. Nothing can or will happen
between us, Lukas."
"Yea, I know," Lukas nods back him. "I hope you come anyways,
Craig. I really do."
"Wait,
what is that?" Craig points to a near by sign with a light that has
started to flash.
Lukas looks
over and sees the flashing light and immediately knows something is wrong.
"It must mean a warning of some kind," Lukas tells him before
he looks up to the top of the mountain. He squints his eyes as she sees
what appears to be clouds forming. "My God," he tells Craig.
"It's an avalanche! Come on, we have to get out of here!"
***
Further down the hall on a level part of the mountain, Daisy pauses for
a moment. She looks back and thinks she can see snow starting to fall,
unaware that it is the snow at the top of the mountain slowly building.
She arches her eyebrow wondering what is going on.
"Having a good time?" a voice calls out as a skier stops next
to Daisy. He pulls off his mask revealing the face of Vinny.
"Vinny,
I didn't realize you came skiing," Daisy looks back at her ex-husband.
"The last time I saw you, you were lurking around the lodge."
Vinny uneasily chuckles back to her. "Lurking? What do you mean lurking
around?"
"I saw you Vinny," Daisy looks back at him. "You were going
into some stairwell that went into the basement. What the hell were doing
down there?"
Vinny gulps back to her not realizing that anyone had seen him. Of course
he knows that in the basement is where he is keeping Brett
in a cage. He was thinking if releasing Brett now that the fashion show
is over but he decided against it as Brett could spoil the rest of his
plans for revenge.
"There are storage lockers down there," Vinny lies to her. "I
went to get my skis cause I knew I was going to hit the slopes after.
You have to stop being so paranoid about every action that I do, Daisy.
I'm not hiding anything."
"I find that hard to believe," Daisy admits to him. "This
entire thing about Brett going missing and he was also working for a designer
just doesn't make sense to me. Like, how was he in designing and suddenly
you are a designer?"
"You're crazy!" Vinny laughs at her. "You've lost your
marbles since divorcing me!"
They stop yelling at one another when they hear a loud rumble. "What
was that?" Daisy asks looking back up at the top of the mountain.
She gulps when she sees a lot of snow starting to come towards her. She
turns back and sees a flashing light on the side of the mountain.
"Oh my God," she looks at Vinny. "It's an avalanche!"
