Theme song: "Name of the Game" Cher Previously
on One Day at a Time -Tyler and Donovan were horrified to learn that there
was an avalanche on the mountain where Daisy & Lukas were skiing -Meggan
was devastated to learn that Jeff was suing her for full custody of Logan
-Melissa announced to Andy and Nicholas that her son was going to be returning
to Boston with her since she did not want him to be dating Andy -Robbie bailed
Brooke out of jail after she was arrested for fraud for buying Cheresa from the
black market. Cheresa, meanwhile, opened her eyes while Chris and Trenyce were
visiting her Caldwell's Mountain Ski Resort "We
aren't doing enough!" Donovan pounds his fist into a table in the ballroom
of the resort as he waits for some kind of an update on the search for any survivors
that were on the mountain following an avalanche. Donovan knows that Lukas went
out skiing; the man he just married could now be lost to him forever because of
a freak accident. He doesn't know if he can handle this. "We have to find
Lukas and everyone else before it's too late!" "We are doing
everything we possibly can," Simona Lopez tells Donovan, and his family,
who are surrounding him. Once word got out that there was this disaster, Simona
came to the lodge to organize a search for any survivors. Now, they just have
to wait until they get some kind of word. "Trust me, once I hear anything,
I will let you all know. Right now, we need to try to be patient."
"Patient? You want us to be patient?" Tyler< looks over at her with
his pale face. "I was going to ask Daisy to marry me tonight! Now, I may
not get the chance too!" "We have to try to remain positive,"
Dominick tells his son and then looks over at Donovan. "I know that we are
all worried about everyone who is on that mountain, but until we know what has
happened, let's try to think of the positives." "Dominick is
right," Eva grabs Donovan's hand and squeezes it. "We need to stay positive.
We don't know that they were still on the mountain when the avalanche occurred."
"I won't be able to sit easy until I know my husband is safe and sound,"
Donovan sighs back to them. "We just got married; I can't lose him now. Lukas
can't be dead. He just can't be." *** "This
is awful," Leah holds Paige as they just heard about the avalanche. "I
feel so bad for Donovan. He and Lukas literally just said 'I do'."
"I know," Paige says as they exit their embrace. "I've already
told Grandpa and Eva that if they need anything, I'm happy to help."
"That's sweet of you kiddo," Jeff looks over at his daughter. "But,
I'd rather you stay put. We don't need anything bad happening to you."
"Nothing bad will happen to me, don't worry," Paige looks back
at them. "Now, what's going on with you two? I could have sworn that I felt
tension between you two when I arrived." Leah uneasily looks over
at Jeff and knows that their marriage is hanging on by a thread because she finally
revealed that Logan is really Jeff's son and she has known since Logan was born.
With everything going on right now, though, Leah knows that it is not the time
to tell Paige what is going on with them. "You didn't sense anything
that we need to get into right now," Jeff replies, which allows Leah to breathe
a sigh of relief. "The only thing that matters right now is that we offer
our assistance to help find the guests that went out on the mountain. Anything
else can wait." Leah and Jeff lock eyes and they have entire conversation
in the glance. Leah uneasily smiles back to Paige. "Your father is right,
we have to band together right now for the good of the survivors."
*** "I'm going to offer a group prayer," Nicholas tells
Melissa and Phil as they stand in the corner of the ballroom, like the others,
still waiting to hear an update on the potential survivors from the avalanche.
"I think that might be nice for everyone." "I think that's
a wonderful idea," Phil nods back to his son. "Have I told you how nice
it has been to see you? We miss you when we are home in Boston."
"I miss you guys too," Nicholas replies to him. "But you know,
I have made a nice home for myself in Twin Peaks. I can admit that it was rather
dark for me after the gala at St. Joseph's but I am in a good place now."
Melissa sighs as she takes a sip of her champagne as she recalls how she
saw Nicholas and Andy sharing a close moment with one another. She can't believe
that the man who caused Nicholas so much grief is now in his life as a boyfriend,
a partner. "You're coming home with us," she looks over at
her son. "I told you that earlier this evening. I refuse to let you stay
here alone. You're getting in over your head with Andy Spinnes and that is not
acceptable. He ruined your life!" "No, he didn't," Nicholas
immediately replies to her. "Look at me, do I look ruined?"
"Do you want me to answer that honestly?" Melissa asks her son.
"Okay, let's not argue about this," Phil tries to keep the peace
between his wife and son. "Let's focus on the fact that we are alive. Some
of the guests here tonight might not be so lucky." "And, it
doesn't change the fact that I am in love with Andy," Nicholas stuns Melissa
with his admission. "I don't know what the future holds for us, but right
now I am very happy that he is in life. I'm asking for your acceptance but I certainly
don't need it." "You will never have my acceptance," Melissa
glares back at her son. "I forbid you to be with that man. It will not happen,
do you understand me?" *** Meggan paces back and
forth in worry as her mind races about Lukas being trapped on Empress Mountain
while the avalanche took place; She is trying to stay positive until she hears
something from the rescue team but she is worried sick that her brother could
be injured, or worse. Of course on top of this, Jeff has sued her for full custody
of Logan because he has finally learned the truth that he is her son's father,
not Brad. She can't believe that this is finally happening but she knows that
she will not lose her son, she refuses to let Jeff get custody. She feels
his phone vibrating so she pulls it out of her purse. She sighs heavily when she
sees Brad's name on the caller ID. "Brad, hey, this isn't a good time,"
she says into the phone. "I know, I heard about the avalanche, I
just wanted to call and see how you're doing," Brad tells her as he sits
at the bar at the Pampa Grill. "I've been better," Meggan tells
him. "Between my brother missing and Jeff, my life is a mess right now."
"Jeff?" Brad asks her. "What is going on with Jeff?"
"I don't know how he found out the truth about Logan, but he knows and
he's on a full rampage now." "What does that mean?"
"He's sued me for custody," Meggan tells him. "He wants to
take my son from me." "I am so sorry Meggan," Brad replies
to her quickly. "Shut up, Brad," Meggan spits back to him.
"You threatened me for months with the truth coming out. Don't act like you're
upset now that it has. You're the reason this is happening!" "Meggan
"
Brad starts to plead her case. "Save it Brad," she cuts him
off. "I have to go. And do me a favor? Don't call me again."
The Lawson Estate; Greg, Brooke, Brad, Abby & Cheresa's Home
"You're home," a surprised Brooke says as he walks into the living room
of the mansion and sees Greg pouring himself a drink from the bar. Brooke has
just taken a long, hot bubble bath to try to relax. After her brief time in jail,
she needed to come home and find a way to pamper herself; she felt like she needed
that. She is surprised to see her husband because he has filed for divorce and
when the truth about her affair with Robbie came out, Greg claimed that he was
moving out. "Very observant," he quips to her before he takes
a sip of his scotch. "I needed to see you." "Really? Why?
What has happened now?" a concerned Brooke moves closer to him.
"Cheresa has opened her eyes," Greg reveals to her. "I don't know
all of the details but I thought you should know." "My God,"
Brooke gets tears in her eyes. "I can't believe this is happening. I should
get over there as soon as I can." "How was jail?" Greg
changes the subject with his wife. "I was with Robbie Calimo when you called
him to bail you out. Further proof you have no use for me or this marriage."
Brooke rolls her eyes back to him. "You were with me when I was arrested,
remember?" Brooke replies to him quickly. "You didn't come to the police
station to post my bail so I didn't think you cared." "So you
call your lover? Of course you did." "I'm not going to fight
with you about this," Brooke tells him. "I need to focus on beating
these charges and I need to make sure that Cheresa is okay." "Brooke,"
Greg calls out as she turns to leave the living room. "I do want to support
you in beating these charges. I know that you didn't act alone and I know that
your actions have changed our family for the better. I don't want to see you suffer
for what you did." Brooke bites her lower lip. "I appreciate
that Greg, because I'm going to need all the help I can get. Do you want to come
with me to see Cheresa?" "I'd like that very much."
Twin Peaks General Hospital "You have no idea how happy
I am that you're awake," Dawn looks down at Cheresa as she sees her friend,
with her eyes open, in her hospital room. Dawn has been so worried about Cheresa
since she woke up in the hospital and found out that Cheresa was found in the
river while Dawn had passed out on a bench on the pier; Dawn has been blaming
herself for the accident because she was stoned on her antidepressant pills when
the accident happened. Had Dawn been sober, Cheresa's accident wouldn't have happened.
"I've been so worried about you." Cheresa uneasily smiles back
to her as she still can't speak yet. Dawn grabs her friend's hand. "I am
so sorry, Cheresa. I want you to know that I am seeking help with my problem.
I realize that I can't keep going the way I have been going. And, I want you to
know that I will never forgive myself for not being able to help you. I am just
so relieved that you are getting better." Dawn smiles back to Cheresa
when she feels her friend squeeze her hand back. "I'm going to let you get
some rest, but I'll be back very soon, I promise." Dawn walks towards
the hospital room door but looks back at Cheresa one more time. "I'm thinking
of you," she tells Cheresa before she leaves the hospital room.
"What the hell are you doing?" a stunned Chris asks as he stands up
from the chair outside of Cheresa's room. He had run to the washroom and didn't
see Dawn enter the hospital room; so he is just now seeing her emerge from his
daughter's room. "Chris, hey," Dawn puts some hair behind her
ear. "I was just visiting Cheresa. What are you doing here?"
"You haven't heard?" Chris asks her as Dawn shakes her head no. "Trenyce
and I are Cheresa's biological parents." "What?"
"We were just as surprised as you are," Chris nods back to her. "But
now that we have found our daughter, we will do anything we can to protect her."
"I understand that." "And that means that you aren't
to visit her again," Chris sternly warns her. "You stay away from my
daughter, Dawn. If it wasn't for you, this accident might not have happened."
"I
I
" Dawn stutters in shock. She never believed that
anyone would want her not see Cheresa; she has loved her friend for so long, she
can't believe that this is happening. Before either one can say anything,
Trenyce rushes up to Chris. "Chris, thank God I found you. Something has
happened." "What? Is it Cheresa?" Chris asks her in worry.
"No, it's Daisy," Trenyce tells him in a panic. "I have to
get up to Caldwell's Mountain Ski Resort; Daisy might be
dead."
Caldwell's Mountain Ski Resort "Why haven't we heard
anything yet?" Tyler looks over at Donovan and Dominick as they still wait
for news from the search and rescue team following the avalanche on Empress Mountain.
He doesn't know how much longer he can stay positive without hearing some kind
of news. "I wish I knew," Donovan sighs back to him, as Meggan
approaches him. They immediately hug. "Lukas has to be okay. He just has
to be." "I have faith that he will be," Meggan uneasily
smiles back to him. Suddenly, Simona Lopez walks in with the head park
ranger and moves up to the group. "Detective, what is the latest update?"
"I brought the park ranger along with me since he is heading the rescue
team," Simona reveals to everyone. "My team has completed a
full search of the mountain," the park ranger advises everyone. "The
avalanche was a level 9 in terms of extremeness. Based on our initial reports,
we don't have good news." "What does that mean?" Donovan
asks him back. "Where is my husband?" "If he was on the
mountain at the time of the avalanche, he wouldn't have made it. No one would
have." "What are you saying?" Tyler asks him next.
"There are no survivors. Anyone on the mountain would have died,"
the park ranger advises them as they all gasp out in horror. Next
