Twin Peaks General Hospital

The elevators open to the main floor of the hospital which allows Cassie and Jacob to emerge while she pushes baby Carter's stroller. They are at the hospital because they got word that the paternity test that was run on Carter and Jacob has come back; they are about to learn once and for all if Jacob is the father of the little baby boy that is fast asleep in his stroller.

"We should probably just head to my Dad's office," Jacob tells Cassie as they turn a corner and begin to walk down a hallway of the hospital. "I'm sure he will want us all to be together when he reads the test results."

"Before we go in," Cassie stops walking and turns her focus to her former fiancé. "I wanted to thank you, Jacob."

"Thank me? I'm not sure what I've done to deserve thanks."

"You stayed with me until we got the test results," Cassie purses her lips together, thrilled that Jacob didn't leave her side until they got word that the results were back. "I really appreciate that. You know I was nervous about how this was going to impact Carter."

Jacob nervously smiles back to her as he knows that the reason he stayed with Cassie is because Natasha was worried that Cassie would try to change the results; Jacob knows, however, that there's no way Cassie could have altered the results because he never left her side while they waited for the results to come back.

"I just thought that we were both apprehensive about this," Jacob lies to her. "So, it was nice to wait this out with you and Carter."

"He's really growing fond of you, you know?" Cassie tells him. "He's starting to think of you as his father."

Jacob forces a smile on his face. "Come on, let's go inside and see what my Dad has to stay."

Jacob opens the door to Shane's office door and Cassie moves inside as she pushes the stroller.

"Shane, hi," Cassie says looking at the doctor, who stands up from behind his desk.

"Hey guys," Shane nervously looks back at his son.

"So, you have the results? We are going to find out if I'm a father?" Jacob asks Shane quickly.

Shane picks up an envelope from his desk and looks back at Jacob. "They are in here," Shane reveals to him. "So yes, you are about to find out if you fathered Carter or not," he says as Jacob gulps heavily.

The Sugarbowl

Natasha quickly grabs her coffee from the barista before she moves to the coffee bar to quickly add her cream and sugar to her beverage. She is in a hurry because she is running late to meet Shane and Jacob at the hospital so she can be present to find out Jacob is Carter's father or not; she just hopes that Jacob did what she told him to do and stay with Cassie so she had no chance to alter the test results. She puts a lid on her cup and turns to leave but freezes when she sees Tyler entering the coffeehouse.

"Good day," she says to her estranged lover as she moves up to him. "I'm afraid I can't chat long as I'm running late for an important meeting but I couldn't not say hi when I saw you come in."

"Hi back," Tyler looks at her quickly. He knows that things are awkward between them since Robbie's role in Cheresa's kidnapping came to light last year. Tyler, still, believes that Robbie should pay for what he did and he plans on doing just that. "Have a good meeting."

Natasha sighs back to him. "I guess that's all we say to each other now? Hi and have a good meeting? What's happened to us, Tyler?"

"Your brother is what happened," Tyler reminds her. "The fact that Robbie still hasn't paid for what he did to my company and Cheresa is what will continue to come between us, Nat, and it will continue to do so until Robbie does pay."

"I don't want to go over this with you anymore," Natasha admits to him. "He lost his child; Kim has filed for divorce; I think Robbie has more than paid."

"And that is where you and I differ," Tyler replies to her. "Because, I won't rest until I make sure Robbie has paid for what he's done."

The Pampa Grill

"I certainly hope you didn't think that I was ghosting you," Kim tells Greg as they sit across from one another in back corner of the restaurant. Kim picks up her glass of white wine and takes a sip of it as Greg just finished telling her that he hadn't heard from her since they went to Aspen together over the Christmas holiday season. She never meant for him to feel like she was ignoring him, she just needed to take some time for herself to figure out what she is doing with her future. "I was just taking time for myself to assess what I wanted with my future."

"I wasn't trying to make you feel bad," Greg replies to her quickly. "I guess I was just worried about you, that's all. But, you took time for yourself, that has to be good, right?"

Kim nods back to him. "The last few months have just flown by," she tells him. "I really feel like I was spinning."

"You went through a lot. That is understandable. Hopefully our time away was the start of some kind of healing for you?"

"It was," Kim tells him. "I've made some decisions and you should hear this from me."

Greg arches his eyebrow back to her. "What kind of decisions?"

"I filed for divorce from Robbie," Kim reveals to him quickly. "I've decided that I want to end my marriage."

Greg's eyes open wider at her revelation. "Are you sure this is what you want?"

Kim slowly nods back to him. "Every time I see Robbie, all I think about is my baby that I lost. I don't know if or when that will go away. But I know that if every time I look at my husband, if I am reminded that my baby is gone, it will drive me crazy. A part of me will always care for Robbie on some level, but I can't be married to him. Not if I want to properly heal and get over the loss of my child."

Greg reaches over and grabs his friend's hand. "That's understandable, Kim. You have to look out for yourself first, so this is a good first step in doing that."

Kim lets a tear fall down her cheek. "Thanks Greg. I really appreciate your support, I couldn't get through this without you."

At another table, Leah and Cory are sitting next to one another in a booth while she finishes telling him about her and Jeff's recent visit to Meggan's, where the private investigator confirmed that she has no new leads on Leah's long lost child that she gave birth to while she was in Santa Barbara all those years ago. Leah has knew that finding the child was going to be a long shot but she can't help but have a sense of loss with everything going on in her life right now.

"I guess the good news is that Meggan said that she will keep looking and that you should stay positive," Cory tells his lover as he picks up his gin and tonic and takes a sip of it. "No one knew you had a child at the winery; Meggan is literally grasping a straws to see where this person could be now."

"I know," a deflated Leah replies to him. "I guess between learning that I had a baby I didn't know about and that Frederick is my biological father, I am just feeling completely overwhelmed."

"That's understandable," Cory tells her. "You have been through a lot the last year or so, Leah. You have to remember to go easy on yourself, okay?"

"I don't know how," she admits to him. "I feel this sense of urgency, Cory. I feel like I need to find Frederick so I can get all these answers that I desperately need. And, I know that we may never find him, and that scares me to my very core. I feel…I feel like I'm trying to breath while I'm under water."

"Come here," Cory puts his arms around her and holds her. "You have to remember that you're not alone in this Leah. I'm here for you, you have to lean on me, okay? You don't have to do this alone because I'm right here and I will never go away."

The Tower's; Floor Eight; Victoria's Condo

"You didn't have to do all this just for me," Bryce grins over to Victoria and Donovan, who is still in his wheelchair, as he moves into the living room of the condo that Victoria owns and he can see a "Welcome Home" banner on the wall with balloons and some snacks on the table.

"We know we didn't have too," Donovan chuckles back to him. "But it is not every day that someone gets to come home from the hospital after escaping death; this is the least that we could do, Bryce."

"I appreciate the gesture," Bryce shakes Donovan's hand. "I guess this is our first time officially meeting since the wedding?"

"Welcome to our crazy little family," Donovan laughs back to him.

"We aren't that crazy," Victoria playfully swats her brother's arms. "Okay, who I am kidding? We are pretty nuts."

Bryce laughs and then grabs his chest. "Don't make me laugh so hard, it still hurts."

"Are you okay?" Victoria nervously rushes up to his side.

"I'm fine, I'm fine," Bryce waves his hand back to her. "Seriously, thanks for the welcome home. It's really great to be out of that hospital and back with the woman I love."

The two kiss while Donovan looks on. "Okay, enough," Donovan yells, causing the couple to stop kissing. "Let's have that 7 layer dip, I'm starving!"

Dominick's Townhouse; Dominick & Abby's Home

"That was a lovely way to start the day," Dominick tells Abby as she moves into the living room of the townhouse that they live in together. He finishes pouring himself a cup of coffee before he turns to face his wife, thinking about how they just finished making love after Abby had a shower. He hasn't felt this alive in years and he attributes it to marrying Abby.

"Yes, it certainly was," Abby purses her lips together. "You never cease to amaze me."

Dominick chuckles back to her. "Can I get you a cup coffee? We could have breakfast together?"

"Breakfast?" Abby looks at her watch. "Dominick, it's well into the afternoon."

He continues to chuckle. "I guess we spent all morning in bed, huh?"

"Yes, we did," she moves up to him and kisses him. "I would love to grab a bite to eat with you but I actually have a meeting that I have to head off too."

He arches his eyebrow back to his wife. "A meeting? May I ask what this is about?"

"I'm meeting with a lawyer," Abby reveals. "I have his card here."

She passes him Ethan's card and Dominick studies it. "Ethan Alexander," he reads the card. "I am pretty sure that Tyler went to school with Ethan. Why are you meeting with him?"

"It was my Dad's suggestion," Abby tells him. "He said that I should have a lawyer review the will you gave me at Christmas. I'm sure it's fine but I thought why not? And, I just randomly met Ethan and he indicated he could look at for me."

"I see," Dominick nods back to her. "Well, have a good meeting. And if it is the same Ethan that went to school with Tyler, it will be a pretty small world."

"I will find out and let you know," she winks back to him as she grabs her purse. "I'll see you later."

Dominick waves to her before he takes another sip of his coffee, hoping that Ethan and Abby find the updates to the will to be satisfactory.

Robertson Enterprises; The Studio

"I just finished printing the latest pictures we took," Max tells Paige as he emerges from the black room that is in the back of the studio at Robertson Enterprises. "They should be ready in 20 or so minutes."

"Ok great," Paige replies to him quickly. "I'm eager to see how they turned out. We have that presentation with Tyler early next week, so the sooner we can tackle the report, the better off we will be."

"While we wait for the pictures," Max moves up to the large table to look at his lover. "Maybe we can finish our conversation that we started earlier?"

Paige sighs back to him. "I don't really want to talk about Abby Lawson anymore," she tells him.

"I am just concerned when you say that you will do whatever you can to stop her from being with your grandfather," Max admits to her quickly. "I don't think it's healthy for you to dwell on this, especially when Dominick is the one that romanced Abby."

"How can you take Abby's side over mine in this?" Paige asks him, stunned by his continued support of Abby.

"It's not about taking sides," Max replies to Paige. "I just think that Abby and Dominick are both adults; their relationship is between them, not for you to interfere."

"So you're basically telling me that you won't support me in my quest to save my grandfather from Abby?" Paige huffs back to him. "That's just great, thanks Max."

"Paige, please," Max pleads with her. "Just leave this alone. Let your grandfather make his own decisions, okay?"

"I'm sorry but I can't do that," Paige shakes her head back to him. "I have to find a way to get him away from Abby. So either you're with me, or you're against me, Max. That's up to you."

The Victors Mansion; Daisy's Home

Daisy sits on the sofa in the lavish living room of the mansion that she is living in. She is staring into the flames of the large fire that is raging in the fireplace with tears in her eyes. She keeps replaying her morning over and over again in her: she went to the small medical clinic and aborted her unborn child. For weeks, she had been wrestling with what to do with the child that she discovered she was carrying. For so long, she had longed to be a mother but after she learned she was pregnant, she was worried about what to do because Vinny was the father. After everything that Vinny did to her, and so many others, how could she bring his child into the world?"

She wraps herself in a blanket trying to keep herself warm as she has a chill. Another set of tears forms in her eyes and are soon falling down her cheeks.

"What have I done?" she whispers to herself as she holds herself. "What did I do? Was it the right thing? I …I will never know."

She continues to look into the flames as more tears fall from her eyes, as she tries to wrap her head around the decision that she made and how it will forever impact her life and future.

Twin Peaks General Hospital

"I am sorry that I'm late," Natasha announces to Shane, Jacob and Cassie as she opens the door to Shane's office at the hospital and urgently moves inside. "I'm not too late am I? The results, do we have them?"

"I was just about to open them," Shane looks back at his ex-wife. "So, you're just on time."

"Before you do, can I have word with Jacob?" Natasha asks, as everyone seemingly nods back to her.

Jacob and Natasha move off to a corner so they can be alone. "I have to know, did you do what I said? Did you stay with Cassie until the results came back?"

Jacob nods back to his mother. "I never left her side," he whispers back to her. "Whatever those test results say, Cassie couldn't have altered them; it was impossible."

"Good," Natasha purses her lips together. "That means we will finally get that wench out of our lives once and for all."

"Can we hurry this up please?" Cassie huffs back to the two of them. "Carter is going to wake up soon and I would like to be back at home to give him his bottle."

"We are ready," Natasha turns to her rival and forces a smile on her face. "Shane, you can read the results."

Shane slowly opens the envelope as everyone seemingly holds their breath. Shane looks at the document in front of him and then looks at Cassie before he looks at Natasha and then Jacob.

"Well? What does it say?" Jacob asks his father.

"It says," Shane slowly replies to him. "That you're Carter's father. The DNA is a perfect match."

Cassie gets a coy grin on her face while Natasha's mouth opens in shock and Jacob looks over at Cassie, wondering how any of this is happening.
