Enterprises
"So, do you want to go first?" a nervous Leah
asks Cory as they stand in her office at Robertson Enterprises. She was just about
to call Frederick to get more answers from him when Cory arrived, wanting to talk
to her. She hasn't seen him since the night of the gala, when she rejected his
marriage proposal. He indicated that they should talk and she suggested that he
goes first. She just hopes that he can understand why she wasn't ready to accept
his marriage proposal. "I agree that we have to talk." Cory
crosses his arms over his chest and looks back at her. "I haven't seen you
since the ball," he tells her. "No text, no call, nothing."
"I know," Leah replies to him. "I'm sorry about that. My head
has been spinning with the fact that Frederick is back." "I
heard about that," Cory nods back to her. "I guess that means you're
finally going to get the answers you were looking for?" "I'm
trying," Leah chuckles back to him. "Frederick is being difficult, however.
But enough of that, you must have a million things to say to me after I said no
to your proposal, Cory." Cory gulps heavily back to her. "I,"
he begins to tell her. "I put my heart on my sleeve to you Leah," he
continues to tell her. "And you, not only rejected me, but you ran away from
me without an explanation." "I am sorry," Leah tells him.
"I just feel like I was taken by surprise. I'm going through so much right
now that I don't think I can handle an engagement. You know, between trying to
find my missing child and my paternity. I have a lot on my plate."
"I am sorry too," Cory replies to her. "Because this entire situation
has made me realize something." "What's that?"
"That I have been fooling myself," he tells her. "Here I thought
we loved another, Leah. Here I thought, I was being a good guy by supporting you.
But the second that I profess that to you and explain that I want to be with you,
you run away from me." "If you could just hear me out?"
she says as a tear falls down her cheek. "There's nothing left to
say," he whispers as he tries to not choke up. "We're over, Leah. We
don't have a future together. Not after this. You made that perfectly clear at
the ball." "Cory, please
" she pleads with him as
he moves to the door. He stops and turns around to look at her. "For
the record, I did care about you Leah. And, I wish you nothing but the best in
your future. Good luck getting the answers you need from Frederick."
Leah lets another tear fall down her cheek. "I
uh
thank you
Cory." | |

The Tower's; Floor One; Andy
& Nicholas' Condo
"I can't believe that you gave up living
in my mansion for this place," Melissa quips to Nicholas as he gives her
a tour of the condo that he lives in with Andy. Melissa and Nicholas just had
dinner together where he grilled her for her reason that she is there; Melissa
continued to claim that she was just there to check up on him. Nicholas
chuckles back to her. "It's more than enough room for just Andy and I,"
he tells her. "While I did like spending time in the mansion, it was more
house required for just Andy and I." "Well, darling,"
Melissa turns and looks at him. "If you ever change your mind, the house
is yours. Unless it sells quickly, of course." Nicholas nods back
to her. "I hope it sells for you," he tells her. "Like I said,
this place is good for Andy and I." At the door, Andy freezes when
he hears Melissa's voice inside his apartment. Instead of going inside, he stops
and finds himself listening to her conversation with his boyfriend. He hadn't
realized that she was back in town, but considering everything that Melissa has
done to try to come between him and Nicholas, he wants to know everything she
is saying. "So, Mom," Nicholas looks back at Melissa. "What
you are thinking? And please, be honest with me. I've told you everything that
is going on with Andy and I, the way you asked. So, what do you think?"
Melissa uneasily chuckles back to him before she puts her hands on his shoulders.
"I think you're making the biggest mistake of your life," Melissa reveals
to him, as Andy feels his blood start to boil as he stands in the hallway. "I
still think you need to get away from Andy Spinnes, and the sooner, the better."
The Pink Flamingo at the River Rock Casino
"I can't thank
you enough for giving me a drive back to my apartment the night of the gala,"
Ethan smiles over to Abby as they each have a cocktail in front of them while
they enjoy the new restaurant that is in Twin Peaks. Ethan, quickly, recalls how
he served Natasha with the lawsuit papers at the gala; he, then, was in a rush
to leave that he ran into Paige and spilled champagne on the two of them. Abby
saw a wet Ethan and offered to drive him home, which he accepted. "It
was no big deal," Abby replies to him. "Besides, you look at that updated
will Dominick gave me. I really appreciate that you did that." Ethan
continues to grin back to her, not realizing that she is enjoying looking at him
with the smile on his face. "Well, you did pay me for my services,"
he chuckles. "In any event, it seems like we are having more than just a
professional relationship." Abby looks back at him in surprise.
She quickly wonders if that means he is interested in her romantically. She knows
that she has been trying to disregard her attraction to him but, despite being
married and in love to Dominick, she does find him sexy. "What do
you mean?" she asks before she takes a sip of her drink. "I
mean, we are friends," Ethan tells her quickly. "I mean, I'd like to
think we are?" Abby awkwardly nods back to him. "Of course
we are friends," she smiles back to him. "I'd like that very much."
Meanwhile, at the entry way of the restaurant, Paige stands and looks at
Abby and Ethan sitting at the table with smiles on her face. She immediately wonders
what her grandfather's new wife is doing with the man that spilled champagne all
over her a few nights earlier. "What is going on over there?"
she asks herself with an arched eyebrow. ***
Meanwhile,
Andrew walks around the casino and looks around at the various options for gambling
that are in front of him. He can see the slot machines, the craps table and poker
tables. He sighs heavily as he thinks back to earlier in the day when
Trenyce arrived at his suite that he is staying at the casino; she asked him,
again, not to say anything about the fact that they made love the night of the
Roboto gala. Knowing that Trenyce is engaged to Chris, Andrew agreed to keep her
secret, but he is struggling with it because he knows that he has strong feelings
for Trenyce. He, now, just has to find a way to try to a way to get her out of
his mind. He finds himself taking a seat at a poker table. "Deal
me in," he says as he looks up at the dealer, who starts passing out cards
to the people sitting at the table. "Hopefully this helps," he whispers
to himself. The Davenport House; Trenyce & Chris' Home
"Did you get all your errands taken care of?" Chris asks Trenyce as
he passes her a glass of red wine before he joins her on the sofa. Trenyce
accepts the wine and recalls how she told Chris that she had a few things to do
earlier in the day when, in fact, she went to see Andrew to ensure that he won't
say anything about their sleeping together. Andrew agreed to keep it a secret,
so she is now determined to make her engagement, and relationship, with Chris.
"I did," she smiles back to him. "Thanks for watching BJ for
me." Chris chuckles back to her. "Of course," he tells
her. "I know I'm not his father, but I am so in love with that little boy."
"I can tell," Trenyce replies to him quickly. "He loves you
so much. After Brad died, I thought he wouldn't grow up without a father, but
you are making sure that he has a father in his life. I am so grateful."
"In case you haven't noticed Trey," he winks back to her. "I
am head over heels in love with you. I will do anything for you and your son."
"I know," Trenyce feels tears swelling in her eyes as she thinks
about how lucky she is to have Chris in her life; she has to stop thinking about
Andrew because she has a great guy in her life already. "You know what though?
I want to get married Chris; I don't want us to wait. I want to get married sooner
than later." Chris chuckles to her. "Really? What brought this
on?" She shrugs back to him. "I guess just thinking about Brad
and how short life can be," she admits to him. "We don't know when our
time will come, so what do you say? Let's get married soon?" Chris
leans in and kisses her on the lips. "I'd like nothing more than to become
your husband." Roboto
"I got you that list of
lawyers that you asked for," Kim tells Natasha as the two women sit in the
main office of Roboto. Kim quickly recalls how Natasha asked her to get her some
names of lawyers that specialize in corporate lawsuits; they are desperate to
find a good lawyer that will be able to fight the corporate sabotage claims that
Tyler and Robertson Enterprises have filed against them. " I saw
that email, thank you," Natasha looks over from behind the desk and over
at Kim, who is on the sofa. "I will be making some calls to see if anyone
wants to take this case." "I hope someone will," Kim replies
to her quickly. "I have to admit that I am worried Natasha."
"You're worried?" an annoyed Natasha asks her quickly. "You don't
think that Robbie and I are just as terrified that this will damage the company?"
"I didn't say that," Kim shakes her head back to her. "I was
just telling you that this makes me nervous. If we don't win this, Roboto and
everything Bob built could be destroyed." "Do me a favor Kim?"
Natasha rolls her eyes back to her. "And never again remind me of what my
father built, okay? You were with him, for what, a few years? I was with him my
entire life." "You don't have to get testy with me, Natasha,"
Kim looks back at her with intent. "In case you have forgotten, we are on
the same page with this. Now, how about you get the hell off my back and you pick
up that damn phone and start calling the lawyers?" The Pink Flamingo
at the River Rock Casino
Robbie moves into the restaurant and scurries
inside. He is at the restaurant to pick up some takeout for him, Kim and Natasha
as they will be working late, again, as they continue to try to find ways to combat
the lawsuit that Tyler has filed against them. Robbie just hopes that together
with a good lawyer they are able to come up with a plan of attack, otherwise the
family company could be in real trouble. As he moves up to the bar, he
can't help but notice that Tyler is sitting there with a beer in front of him.
Robbie is about to turn away but he finds himself approaching his rival.
"What is that? A celebratory drink?" Robbie huffs as he arrives at the
bar. "I suppose it should be," Tyler quips back to him quickly.
"And, if you're here to read me the riot act for the lawsuit, you can save
it, Robbie. Natasha has already done that." "I heard she dumped
your sorry ass too." Tyler chuckles back to her. "Do you think
I care about my relationship with her? If I did, I wouldn't have filed the lawsuit
papers, Robbie. I knew the minute that I filed, that Natasha and I would be over."
"Well," Robbie glares back to him. "At least one good thing
has come from this mess and that is Natasha is out of your life for good."
"You should get your order," Tyler grins back to him. "You
probably have a lot of work to do at the company. The company that I will likely
own sooner than later." Robbie feels his blood boil at Tyler's remark.
"You listen to me you son of a bitch," Robbie grits his teeth together.
"You will not get away with this, do you hear me? We will fight you and we
will win, so if you want a fight, you have one." Robertson Enterprises
Leah slowly opens the door to the main office at Robertson Enterprises feeling
a little shaken by her conversation with Cory earlier. She knew that he would
be upset with her for rejecting his marriage proposal but she didn't expect that
he would end their relationship, especially since he has been so supportive in
helping her realize that she had another child years ago and that Frederick is
her biological father. "Leah, what are you still doing here?"
a voice calls out from behind the desk. Leah turns and sees Dominick
sitting behind the desk. "Daddy, I could ask you the same thing."
Dominick smirks as he stands up. "Tyler asked me to look over some numbers
for him and give him some insights," he reveals to her. "You know me,
even though I am retired, this company is still in my blood." Leah
nods back to him as she feels her eyes swell with water. "Leah, darling,
what is it? You look like you're going to cry." "It's just
"
Leah gasps for some air. "I just feel like everything is a mess, Daddy. And
damnit, I can't even call you that anymore." Dominick moves
up to her and wraps his arms around his daughter. "I am still your father
regardless of what anyone ever says," he whispers to her. "You can always
count on me." "Thank you," she says as a tear falls down
her cheek. "I just need these answers from Frederick and I have no idea if
he will give them to me." "You will get your answers,"
Dominick replies to her as they exit their embrace and he smiles as he looks into
her eyes. "Never forget how strong of a woman you are, Leah. You can deal
with Frederick, I know you can. I believe in you." "I needed
to hear that more you know," Leah wipes her tears away, thinking, for the
first time, that she does have hope in her situation. The Richardson
Estate; Meggan, Lukas, Donovan, Logan & Olly's Home
Donovan pushes
himself in his wheelchair towards the bar in the living room of the lavish mansion
that he lives in with his husband and sister in law. As he pours himself as scotch,
he can't help but recall how he saw Lukas, his husband, and Jasper, his son's
nanny, having hot sex with one another in the study the previous day. He purposely
set up a camera in the study to see if Lukas would sleep with Jasper again once
he saw Jasper on a date with another man. Sure enough, Lukas must have felt jealous
and did the nasty with the nanny again. "To think I was trying to
see if you would go down that road, and sure enough, you did," he whispers
to himself as he takes a sip of his drink. "Both of you will pay for what
you've done to me. I know have everything I need to get my revenge on both of
you." "Hey, Lukas is out right now, so I wanted to let you
know that Olly just went down for the night," Jasper announces to Donovan
as he comes into the living room. "I guess that means, I'll take off for
the night." "Jasper, wait," Donovan says as he turns his
wheelchair around to face him. "Can you stay for a minute? We have to talk,
I think." Jasper arches his eyebrow back to him. "Sure, what's
going on?" Donovan grins back to him. "I know what you did,"
he replies to him. "And now, it's time you know what I did."
"What did you do? What are you talking about, Donovan?" Donovan
slowly stands up from his wheelchair and starts to walk towards Jasper. "You
can walk? Oh my God, this is so exciting! Does Lukas know?" "No,
he doesn't," Donovan grins back to him. "You're the first person to
know. And you're going to keep my secret, aren't you? Because, you keep a lot
of secrets." Jasper feels the blood drain from his face as he wonders
if Donovan knows about his affair with Lukas. "Whhaatt are you talking about?"
Jasper stutters his words. "I know," Donovan glares back at
him. "I know everything, Jasper." Next on One Day at a Time
