The Sugarbowl
Adam
grabs his two frappuccino's and moves towards the exit of the coffeehouse. He
is going to the hospital to see Dawn while she is on her break and thought he'd
surprise her with a treat from the coffeehouse. As he reaches the exit, the door
opens and Robin appears in front of him. "Adam, hi," she uneasily
smiles back to him. "How are you?" "I'm doing well,"
he replies to her quickly. "How are you? It looks like the baby is growing."
"They certainly are," she says as she puts her hand on her stomach.
"But we are fine, I had an appointment the other day and the baby is healthy."
"I'm happy for you," Adam tells her. "I guess this is bound
to happen, huh? Us running into one another from time to time."
"Twin Peaks is a small town so yea, it is," she agrees with him. "I
hope that's not going to be difficult for you." "Not at all,"
Adam says. "I have to move on and seeing you happy and living your best life
will do that." "I appreciate that," Robin nods back to
him. "And I hope the same for you." "Thanks," Adam
smiles. "Well, I should get going. I'm meeting Dawn while she's on break
at the hospital. Have a good day, Robin." "Thanks, you too,"
Robin replies to him as she watches him leave. She looks around the coffeehouse
and sees Cory sitting in the back booth. She quickly walks up to the table and
sits across from him. "Hey you." "Robin, hi," Cory
smiles back at her before he takes a sip of his coffee. "How are you today?"
"I'm great," she replies to him. "I wanted to thank you."
Cory arches his eyebrow back to her. "Thank me? For what?"
"You gave me some great advice the other day," she reminds him.
"You told me to be honest with Shane about how I felt about him and I was.
Shane and I had a good talk." "Really?" Cory looks back
at her in surprise. "How did he take that?" Robin shrugs back
to him. "I mean, I think he was hurt but I'd rather be honest then let him
have false hope that we could be together." Cory smiles back at
her. "You know what?" he chuckles back to her. "I'm proud of you,
Robin. That wasn't an easy conversation to have but it was the right conversation
to have." "I couldn't have done it without you, Cory, so thanks
for being in my corner." "Happy to be in that corner,"
he winks back to her. ***
At the window seat, Andy and
Nicholas sit next to one another with coffees in front of them. Nicholas wanted
to have a coffee date with his boyfriend because he knows that Andy is still worried
about what Melissa could be up within regards to their relationship and he wants
to try to put Andy's mind at ease. "Are you feeling any better about
my mother?" Nicholas asks him before he takes a sip of his coffee.
Andy uneasily chuckles back to him. "I mean, I am trying not to worry about
it but there's nothing we can really do, right? I just hope she stays in Boston;
I'd feel better if she wasn't in town." Nicholas nods back to him.
"I really do think that she has settled down," he tells his boyfriend.
"You and I, we are finally in the clear, Andy. And, I think we should celebrate."
Andy looks back at him in surprise. "Celebrate? What did you have in
mind?" Nicholas licks his lips back to him. "I don't have any
more meetings this morning. How about we head home and spend the rest of the day
in bed?" Andy feels lust start to burn inside him. "I'd love
that," he tells Nicholas as he grabs his hand. "Let's go, I can't wait
to be with you all day." ***
A few minutes after
Andy and Nicholas have left, Will opens the door to the coffeehouse and lets Madeline
move inside before he follows her. Madeline places her order while Will grabs
two seats at the window bar. Soon, Madeline comes up with their lattes.
"Thanks for the latte," Will smiles when Madeline sits next to him.
"I wanted to let you know about my therapy session." Madeline
nods back to him as she thinks about how Will agreed to talk to a professional
since he has continued to have dreams about seeing Eva. Madeline hopes that his
therapist has been able to help him with his visions since she feels like she
has been competing with a ghost. "I am a doctor," Madeline
replies to him quickly. "I understand doctor-patient confidentiality,"
she tells him. "You don't have to share any details you don't want too."
Will smirks back to her. "I think I can share with you; after all, we
are in this together." "Okay, well, how did it to go then?"
"It was good," he nods to her before he takes a sip of his latte.
"I was able to get a lot off my chest; stuff that I had kept bottled up from
when I first came back to town and Kim hired me to seduce Eva. I didn't realize
how much I had kept bottled in." "And? What did your doctor
say about all of this stuff?" Madeline asks him. "Why do they believe
you're seeing Eva?" "Well," Will nervously tells her.
"He believes that I have never gotten over Eva, which is why my subconscious
is allowing me to see her." Madeline looks back at him in surprise.
"You're still in love with Eva?" "I guess that makes sense,"
Will admits to her. "I know she's dead but I do still have feelings for her."
"So what about me?" Madeline asks him. "If you're in love
with Eva, where does that leave you and I?" Twin Peaks General
Hospital
"Thanks for this Frappuccino Dad, it is hitting the
spot," Dawn smiles to her father as they move into an empty waiting room
of the hospital. She only has a few a minutes on her break, so she is grateful
her Dad brought her the drink so they could have a quick catch up. "I'm
glad, I know how long your shifts are, so I thought a mid-day treat would be nice."
"It's sweet of you," Dawn replies to him. "What brings you
by, anyways. It's not every shift that you stop by to see me." Adam
chuckles back to her. "You know me so well," he winks back to her. "It's
about your Mom; she told me she has been seeing this fellow she met in Cancun."
"Yea, Dale something
" Dawn nods back to her. "I kept
telling you that she wouldn't be single for very long." "I
know, and it's not that," Adam says to her. "I actually saw them the
other day at the Pink Flamingo having drinks together." "And?
Are you upset that Mom is moving on?" Adam shrugs back to her. "I
I
can't place it, but when I saw Dale's face, he looked familiar to me for some
reason. That's weird right?" "Yea, maybe a little," Dawn
tells him. "I think it's that you're realizing that might have missed your
chance with Mom and you're set. But, if you want Mom, you have to tell her, Dad.
Before she gets in deeper with Dale." ***
"I'm
not sure why you asked me here today," Jacob tells his parents as they stand
across from one another in Shane's office at the hospital. "What's going
on?" "We have something to tell you," Natasha replies
to her son before she uneasily looks over at Shane. She recalls how Shane invited
her over to his office to tell her that second paternity test they ran on Carter
came back to reveal that Jacob is the father of Cassie's baby. She isn't sorry
that they ran another paternity test because she had to know, for sure, that Cassie
wasn't lying to everyone. "But we need you to be calm, okay?"
"What's all this about?" Cassie asks as she comes into the office pushing
Carter's baby stroller. Natasha looks back at her rival in surprise.
She had hoped to have this conversation with just her, Shane and Jacob. "What
the hell are you doing here?" "I was with Cassie and Carter
when you asked me to come over," Jacob explains to his parents. "I thought
whatever it was that you had to say, you could say in front of Cassie? So, what
is this all about?" Shane sighs heavily. "Your mother and I
had some concerns," he starts to tell his son. "So, we ran another paternity
test on Carter." "I beg your pardon?" Cassie hisses back
at them. "How dare you do that!" "Mom, Dad, what the hell?"
Jacob asks them in surprise. "You thought Carter wasn't my son?"
"You have to understand Jacob," Natasha moves closer to his son.
"Cassie Nova has been lying and scheming against me for years. I had to be
sure. I had to know the truth once and for all." "And? What
did the results say?" Jacob asks her quickly. "You know what
the results said, Jacob," Cassie moves up behind him and glares at Natasha
and Shane. "Carter is Jacob's son, that's what the test confirmed, right?"
"I'm afraid so," Shane nods back to him and Cassie. "Carter
is your son. And now we can all try to put this behind us." Cassie
cracks a laugh back to him. "Oh, so now you want to move on? You two better
stay the hell away from me and my son, or so help me God
"
Jacob turns to her and grabs her hand. "It's okay, Cassie. No harm, no fowl,
right?" "Wrong," Cassie rolls her eyes back to them. "If
you want to be in Carter's life, you going to have to get your parents under control.
I refuse to let them run tests on my son without my knowledge for their own selfish
purposes. It's up to you Jacob, either you're in my corner, Carter's corner, or
you're with your parents." The
Richardson Estate; Meggan, Lukas, Donovan, Logan & Olly's Home
"So, when were you going
to tell me that you can walk again?" a stunned Lukas demands from Donovan
as he moves into the living room of his mansion and sees his husband, standing
with a drink in his hand looking at some pictures on the fire place mantel. Lukas
can't believe that when he approached the room, he saw Donovan moving around like
he had never had an injury to his legs; for months now, Donovan has been claiming
that he has been confided to a wheel chair, now Lukas knows that it is a lie.
He can't help but wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that Donovan
has accused Jasper of sexual assault. "Lukas,"
Donovan gulps, realizing that he has been bust. "I, uh, I thought I was alone." "So,
when you're alone, you just walk around the house?" Lukas asks him, his patience
growing thin. "What the hell is going on here, Donovan? Why didn't you tell
me that you could walk again?" "Because,"
Donovan looks back at him with intent. "It
just happened today, after
my therapy session. In fact, I should get back to my chair; the doctor warned
me not to overdo it." "You
really expect me to believe that you just suddenly, today, got the feelings back
in your legs? Do you think I'm stupid, Donovan?" "Of
course not," Donovan says as he sits back down in his wheelchair. "But
I do have to ask you something. Why do you think I am lying to you, Lukas? Why
would your husband lie to you about this medical condition? Do you think that
I want to be in this damn chair?" "No,
of course not..but
" "But
nothing!" Donovan cuts him off. "I'm really tired of you thinking I'm
lying to you about everything. Usually that means that you're lying to me about
something; so spit it out, Lukas, what aren't you telling me?" "I'm
not lying to you, Donovan." "Good,
and I'm not lying to you," Donovan looks back at him. "Maybe we can
just call it even and move along?" The Victors Mansion; Frederick's
Lair
The front door of the mansion opens and Victoria slowly creeps
into the foyer. She takes a deep breath as she closes the door behind herself.
She turns and looks at the large room and feels her hands start to tremble.
After Daisy showed her the note that was left in her purse following Frederick's
dinner party, Victoria felt like she had to come to the mansion where Frederick
is staying to see if there could be any truth to the fact that Eva is alive and
well. She knows that Brooke stabbed and killed her mother, but the handwriting
on the note did look a lot like Eva's and it was signed with the letter "E".
"I have to figure out the truth," she whispers to herself. "If
Frederick has done something to Eva, I have to find her and help her. I have to
make sure that he hasn't hurt my mother." As she starts to move
closer to the living room, she stops as she feels her heart racing. She hasn't
been back to the mansion in months, not since before the explosions that caused
Brett to die all those months ago. She had been living here with Vinny, unaware
that he was holding Daisy and Brett hostage in one of the secret rooms that the
mansion has. When she finally was able to find them, Vinny revealed that he had
bombs in the house and he set them off, trying to kill everyone. Thankfully they
survived, but the memories are haunting her. "I'll be okay,"
she whispers to herself. "I have to stay strong for Mom's safe."
She takes another deep breath and prepares to start searching for something,
anything, that will tell her if Eva is alive and well. "Now, if I was Frederick,
where would I hide Eva?" ***
Meanwhile, outside in
the garden, Frederick and Felicia slowly walk next to one another as they enjoy
the bright sun and the warm air. "You were right Felicia,"
Frederick smiles over to her. "Today is the perfect day for a walk in the
garden." "I thought it would be," Felicia nods back to
him. "I have to be honest with you about something." "Oh?
What is this all about?" he stops and looks into her eyes. "When
Barbara first told me that I should come to the see you," she begins to admit
to him. "I was nervous because of our history. But this has been nice, Frederick."
"I am glad you think so," Frederick smiles back to her. "For
so long, this is all I have wanted, Felicia. I have wanted to be back in our presence."
"Thank you, again, for saving Barbara's life. I still can't believe
you did that." "I would do anything for you," he winks
back to her. "I just hope you are starting to believe that now."
"I guess I am." Frederick looks into her eyes and grabs
her hand. "You are still the most beautiful woman in the world."
Felicia blushes back to him. "You're too sweet." "I
am nothing but honest," he tells her. "Thank you for coming here today."
Before Felicia can respond, Frederick is leaning in and giving her a soft
kiss on her lips. It only lasts for a moment before their lips part, but Felicia
smiles as she looks into Frederick's eyes. Next on One Day at a Time
