The Sugarbowl
"You
certainly got our attention with your text," Dawn looks over at Helen as
they sit across from one another in the back booth of the coffeehouse while Adam
is grabbing their latte's from the barista. "What's going on?"
"I have some news that I wanted to share with you and your father,"
Helen admits to her daughter as Adam arrives at the table and sets the drinks
down. "I'm here now," Adam says as he sits next to his former
wife. "I am guessing this family meeting has something to do with the fact
that I told you the truth about Dale being Mallory's father?" Helen
gulps back to him before she takes a sip of her latte. "It does," she
replies to her family. "Dale and I spoke; he admitted to me that he is Mallory's
father but he claims that he had no idea who I was when we met in Cancun."
"Do you believe him?" Dawn asks her mother immediately. "What
are the odds that the man you meet in Mexico happens to be the father of a girl
that died in our backyard years ago." "I don't know what to
believe right now," Helen admits to her. "How would Dale have known
that I was going to Cancun, which resort I was staying at, hell, even what I looked
like?" "He could have uncovered that information if he was
looking for it," Adam tells her. "I think you just need to have your
guard up with him, that's all." "There's more," Helen
explains to them. "He said he could prove that he didn't know me when we
met." Dawn uneasily chuckles back to her mother. "How could
he prove that?" "Well, by a gesture," Helen looks at Dawn
before she looks at Adam. "He
he proposed to me." "He
did what?" Adam asks her in shock. "He has a lot of nerve! You didn't
say yes, did you? Tell me you're not marrying that man?" "I
don't know what to do!" Helen admits to them. "Dale was very sincere
in his proposal. I
just feel like my head is spinning." "No
matter what you do, Mom," Dawn looks at her mother. "You have to have
your guard up with Dale, at least until he has proven that there are no ulterior
motives. Do you think you can do that?" "Of course," Helen
nods to her family. "Thanks for listening to me guys, as soon as I figure
this out, I will let you know." The Cemetery
Dale
swiftly walks through the middle of the cemetery on the pathway while the moon
shines down on his face. The full moon is so bright that he small He moves up
to a relatively small tombstone and bends down to read the carvings on the marble.
"Mallory," he says as he places some flowers at the base of the
gravesite. "It's me, your Dad. I know that it has been a while since I came
to see you, and I am sorry about that." "I want you to know
that even if I am not here, I am thinking about you," he whispers to his
daughter's grave. "Even though you left me many years ago, there's not a
day that goes by that I don't think about you, I hope you know that."
He covers his mouth for a moment as he feels his eyes swell with water. "Just
know, baby girl, that I am working to make things right. Your death, it won't
go unpunished, not as long as I am breathing. You have my word on that."
Bar Code
Madeline sits at the bar of the club with a martini
in front of her. She has a lot on her mind, so she is having a drink as she tries
to sort out her thoughts. First, she was surprised when Clayton returned home
because he had heard about Nicholas and Andy's engagement. She is glad that Clayton
is back but she just hopes that her brother is actually handling the fact that
Nicholas is getting married to Andy because she knows that he had feelings for
him before he left town. On top of that, Madeline is also dealing with
the fact that she recently ended her relationship with Will because she felt like
she was competing with the ghost of Eva; she had overheard Will, again, call out
his deceased lover's name while he was sleeping. She knows that he might still
be grieving the loss of Eva, but she didn't think that she could handle her insecurities
getting flared up every time he had another one of his visions. She just hopes
that she can start to put that behind her and get her head back on straight.
"I'll have a double bourbon please," a man's voice says as he sits
next to Madeline, causing her to snap back into reality. She turns and sees Robbie
sitting next to her. He looks over at her and flashes a smile her way. "Looks
like we had the same idea; drinking alone to forget our lives?"
Madeline uneasily chuckles back to him before she takes a sip of her martini.
"Lucky guess," she tells him. "What are you trying to forget, exactly?"
"My divorce recently was finalized," he nods back to her.
"Ah, I'm sorry to hear that," Madeline tells him. "The
worst part is that, deep down, I do still love her," Robbie takes a sip of
his drink. "But I have to move on, somehow, someway." "I
guess we are in the same boat," Madeline replies to him quickly. "I
just ended my relationship as well. But it's always better to put ourselves first
instead of staying in a potentially toxic situation." "Isn't
that the truth," Robbie chuckles back to her. "I'm glad I sat here,
it's nice to know that someone can relate." "I'm Madeline Wilkins,"
she looks back at him and extends her hand. "Robbie Calimo,"
he replies to her. "I've seen you around but it's nice to formally meet you."
"You as well," Madeline replies to him as she takes another sip
of her martini. Raven's Meadow
Will grabs a chart from
a holder on the side of the wall and opens it to read about the patient that he
is about to see at Raven's Meadow. He recently got this second job and is, actually,
enjoying it a lot as the patients are much different than the ones he would see
at Twin Peaks General Hospital. The variety is something he has longed for, so
this position is working out perfectly. "Alright, looks like I have
to get some drugs for Mr. Braxton," he whispers to himself as he puts the
file back in the hanging folder. He then starts to walk to the end of
the hallway, where there is a storage room, that has some of the medications that
the patients require. As he moves past, he realizes that he has entered the area
with some of the padded rooms. He isn't seeing any of the patients in these rooms,
yet, but he hopes that, one day, he will. He freezes, however, when he
thinks he hears a noise coming from one of the rooms. He realizes that someone
must just be moving around in the room. "They are padded cells,
they can't hurt themselves or anyone else," he reminds himself. "I'll
make a note of it though and let the doctor know." Meanwhile, inside
the padded cells, Victoria and Eva bang on the door, trying to get Will's attention
as they can barely see him through the small window that is on the door. Because
the room is padded, and somewhat sound proof, Will can't hear them begging for
help. Finally, an exhausted Eva moves away from the door with tears in
her eyes. "It's no use," she tells Victoria. He can't hear us."
Victoria slowly turns around and looks at her mother. "You're right
but I'm not giving up, Mom. We have to find a way out of here, I won't let Frederick
keep us here forever. It won't happen." The Pink Flamingo at
the River Rock Casino
"How did you know that I needed a drink
tonight?" Abby chuckles over to Ethan as they sit across from one another
at the restaurant with a bottle of white wine in front of them. Abby recalls how
she was with Ethan at his office when she admitted that she is going through a
stressful time but she won't let anyone ruin her life that she has created for
herself. She didn't tell him more details because she can't let anyone know that
she is drugging Dominick to keep him from remembering the fact that Eva is alive;
if he knew that she was alive, her marriage would be illegal since he and Eva
never formally divorced before she "died". "You were very
stressed at my office," he flashes his smile back at her. "I could tell
you needed some stress relief and since my original idea wasn't going to happen
"
Abby giggles back to him. "What was your original idea?"
He winks back to her. "You're a married woman so it was never going to happen!"
"What the hell is going on here?" a furious Paige asks as she storms
up to the table. She recalls how she was visiting Dominick earlier in the day
because she has been concerned that her grandfather has no memory of the night
that he stopped Felicia from marrying Frederick; Paige had expressed her concern
that Abby wasn't taking the situation seriously enough, to which Dominick defended,
but now, Paige can see that Abby is, instead, having drinks and a good time with
Ethan. "Uh, we are having drinks?" Abby asks her quickly back.
"What does it look like?" "You're unbelievable, you know
that?" Paige hisses back at her. "My grandfather is struggling with
his memory and you're here having drinks with another man?" "Hey,
to be fair, Abby has been stressed all day," Ethan defends his friend. "I
thought this was a good idea to help her relax." "A good idea
would be for Abby to be at home with her husband," Paige looks back at him
with intent. "She should be supporting him right now, not out doing God knows
what!" "I don't have to justify my actions to you," Abby
stands up and looks at Paige. "Frankly, I am getting damn tired of you butting
your head into my business. Back down little girl." "Or what?"
Paige asks her as she puts her hand on her hip. "Or you will answer
to me, and you don't want that," Abby grits her teeth together as she moves
closer to Paige. "Ladies, ladies, that's enough," Ethan stands
up and gets in between the two women. "Everyone just needs to calm down."
"I will calm down when get you out of my grandfather's life," Paige
looks back at Abby. "I don't know what I have to do, but I will make him
realize what a low life piece of trash you are!" Dominick's Townhouse
Dominick paces back and forth in his townhouse as his mind races about his last
conversation with Tyler and Leah regarding Felicia. Leah seemingly agreed with
Tyler that Felicia should seek medical help as she has continued to state that
Eva is alive and was posing as Barbara Mills for months; they all know that this
is not possible as Eva was killed by Brooke so they are worried that Felicia has
had another mental slip. The problem that they have realized about sending
Felicia to Raven's Meadow is that Frederick could become her doctor again. While
Tyler has asked Bryce to be her doctor, Leah came up with the idea that Dominick
file a restraining order against Frederick to ensure he has to stay away from
Felicia. "That's a very smart idea," Dominick whispers to himself
as he pours himself a brandy at the bar in his living room. "I need to get
a hold of this situation before Frederick can make it worse. He takes
a sip of his drink before he picks up his phone and dials a number. "Ethan
Alexander, this is Dominick Robertson," he says into his phone. "I need
to see you as soon as possible, can you please come to townhouse? This is incredibly
urgent." He hangs up the phone and hopes that the lawyer is able
to retrieve his message sooner rather than later. "I won't let you
hurt Felicia," Dominick says to himself. "Not ever again, Frederick."
Before he can think of anything else, he hears his front doorbell ring. He
moves to the door and is surprised to see Bryce standing on the other side.
"Bryce, this is a surprise," Dominick replies to him. "Does
this have anything to do with the fact that my son asked you to treat Felicia
at Raven's Meadow?" "No, but I am still thinking about that,"
Bryce replies to him as he moves into the foyer of the townhouse. "I'm here
for another reason; your former step daughter, Victoria. Have you heard from her?"
Dominick arches his eyebrow as he tries to recall the last time he saw Victoria.
He can picture Victoria standing in his living room but he can't, for the life
for him, remember their conversation. "I
I saw her recently, but forgive
me, I'm having trouble remembering the conversation." "I need
you to try to remember everything you can," Bryce tells him quickly. "I
think something happened to my wife and based on what you just said, you might
be the last person to have seen her." The Richardson Estate;
Meggan, Lukas, Donovan, Logan & Olly's Home
"Answer me Donovan!"
Lukas yells at his husband as they continue to stand in the living room of their
lavish mansion. "What are you going to do, or what have you done, to get
back and Jasper and I for having sex?" Donovan chuckles back to
him. "You think you're so clever, Lukas, but I don't have to tell you a Goddamn
thing!" "Fine," Lukas throws his hands up in the air in
defeat. "I give up, Donovan. This marriage, if you can even call it that,
it's over! I'm done! Do you hear me? I am DONE!" Donovan continues
to laugh back at his husband. "I don't think so, husband," Donovan glares
back at him. "You're not leaving this marriage until I say you're leaving.
You see, Lukas, for once, I am holding all the cards and there's nothing you can
do about," he glares back at Lukas, who gulps heavily, having never seen
this side of Donovan before. Meanwhile, the front door of the mansion
slowly opens and Jasper quickly appears in the foyer. He looks around and gets
a sly grin on his face. "If you think I will let you ruin my life,
Donovan," he whispers to himself. "You're wrong. Dead wrong."
